A/N: Deeks gets to make one of his dreams/hallucinations from "To Live and Dine in Mexico" reality while Kensi's pregnant.
"Daddy loves you. I can't wait to show you how to dance, and throw a ball, sing. It's going to be amazing. You have no idea how long we been waiting for you."
Kensi blinked a few times, her mind taking a few extra moments to process the sound of Deeks' voice into words. Opening her eyes fully, she saw the top of Deeks' head in the semi-darkness.
"Baby, what're you doing?" she muttered, her voice still hoarse and slurred with sleep. His head snapped up, his eyes gleaming. She could just see the outline of his curls and upper body.
"I'm sorry I woke you up. I was just talking to the babies," he explained softly.
"They're only twelve weeks. I don't think they can hear anything yet." She was fully awake now, and shifted up onto her elbows.
Deeks shoulders lifted slightly. "It can't hurt. I talk to the Pastry Babies most nights."
"Since we found out?" she asked.
"Yeah. It makes me feel closer to them. Even if they can't hear me, maybe it'll exude positive energy or whatever. I just want our babies to always know how glad I am they're in this world," Deeks said, the pure reverence in his words making Kensi shiver a little.
"Show me."
"What? You want me to—?" he gestured to her stomach and she nodded.
"Please? Show me how you talk to them."
Shifting a little lower again, Deeks gave her a final look before he dropped his head, settling a hand over her stomach.
"Hey guys, sorry about that. Your mama woke up. She loves you like crazy too. And so does your sister. I think she's already bought about a dozen outfits and so many toys for you. Don't give mom too hard of a day tomorrow, ok? Love you and can't wait until we get to hold you."
Deeks finished by pressing the softest of kisses to her stomach through her shirt. Kensi's eyes filled with tears as she felt the desperate need for him.
"Come here," she whispered, reaching for his hands. Deeks let her pull him on top of her, making a sound of surprise when she tugged his head down to hers and kissed him forcefully.
"Woah, what was that for?" he gasped.
"You're going to be an amazing father. I already knew you would be, but this just proves it even more," she told him, stroking her fingers over his cheeks.
"Damn, I'll have to talk to the twins more often," he joked. She rolled her eyes, cupping the back of his neck instead of pushing him away like she would have at one time.
"Shush. Get back down here."
