After his duel with Shun, Sora lies unconscious in a medical facility close LDS tower.
Meanwhile the You Show crew stands outside the room looking at the door with worry.
"Sora..." Yuzu mutters.
"He'll be fine. I'm told that LDS has a very skilled medical team." Shuzo assures them.
"But if the building hit his head before the Field Magic turned off..." Ayu says worried.
"Shun... Kurosaki..." Yuya thinks while clenching her fist.
In Reji's office.
"Sora Shiunin is currently receiving treatment in the Central Court's care ward. There are superficial injuries on his legs and head, but his life is not in danger." Nakajima reports to Reji.
"I see. Then call for our emergency care team and have him brought to Leo Corporation's facilities immediately. I have many things I wish to ask him." Reji orders.
"Yes sir." Nakajima says.
"Get me the duel disk he used as well." Reji adds while adjusting his glasses.
"Understood." Nakajima says before bowing slightly and leaving.
After sunset in front of the facility Sora is receiving treatment in.
"Yoko and I will be walking the kids home. Take care of Sora for us." Shuzo tells Yuya, Yuzu and Gongenzaka.
"What do you think?" Yuya asks.
"Huh?" Yuzu exclaims confused.
"Kurosaki is the culprit for the serial attacks on LDS. I saw him take out members from their top team in front of my very eyes." Yuya elaborates.
"And you, Yuzu?" Yuya asks.
"I saw Masumi get into a dangerous situation while she was chasing the culprit too... But Masumi..." Yuzu says.
"The one she had been chasing was one of them?!" Gongenzaka questions confused.
"I don't know why Masumi would say something like that... But Yuto said they were attacking LDS to save one of their comrades..." Yuzu explains.
"Yuto..." Yuya repeats, unfamiliar with the name.
Meanwhile inside the facility behind them, Yuto walks through the dark corridors.
"Then that man called Yuto is the one who attacked Sawatari?!" Gongenzaka asks shocked.
"Yuto... A man who looks like me. That's the same man who would disappear whenever I came close to him, right?" Yuya asks.
"Disappear?!" Gongenzaka asks confused.
"I don't know why, but whenever Yuya comes into his range of sight he vanishes in a flash of light... or back then..." Yuzu tells them about Yuto's vanishing acts, including the one with the black storm and shockwaves at the harbor.
"Why would he do all that?" Gongenzaka questions.
"I don't know why he vanishes whenever I come close, but assaulting their enemy is a means to save their friend captured by the enemy." Yuya says.
"Yes... Yuto said that." Yuzu confirms.
"Who is their enemy? Are they not LDS?" Gongenzaka asks.
"That's..." Yuzu tries to explain.
Meanwhile Yuto enters Sora's room and stops once he stands over him.
"Fusion is their enemy? Yuto said that?" Gongenzaka asks confused, to which Yuzu nods.
"Kurosaki is Yuto's comrade. That's why he's so hostile toward Sora..." Yuya tries to put things together.
"You guys... Did you ever ask Sora where he came from?" Gongenzaka asks.
"No..." Yuzu admits.
"Even when we asked him, he'd just dodge the question..." Yuya adds.
"Then there might be some kind of connection... Between Kurosaki, Yuto and Sora..." Gongenzaka theorizes.
"Connection?" Yuya asks.
"Kurosaki and his comrades are Xyz users. So maybe Sora was a member of an opposing Fusion School or something?" Gongenzaka points out, to which Yuya remembers Sora's talk about hunting games.
"Could it be that Kurosaki and Yuto are trying to save their comrade from Sora's group?!" Yuya wonders.
At that time Sora starts waking up and he sees Yuto.
"Yuya?" Sora asks as he can only make out the face in his drowsiness.
"I have some questions for you." Yuto says, the sound of his voice fully waking Sora.
"You're...!" Sora says realizing who stands before him.
"I want to know where Ruri is." Yuto says.
"Ruri?" Sora repeats confused.
"Their comrade is Kurosaki's little sister?" Gongenzaka asks.
"Yes... That's what Yuto said." Yuzu tells them.
"If Sora's friends really do have Kurosaki's little sister... If they really did kidnap that girl called Ruri... I would understand why they would treat Sora as their enemy, but..." Yuya exclaims.
"Then does that mean he joined LDS to fight against Sora? No, wait, Masumi said he's been with LDS from the start... Then why would he attack LDS in order to get his little sister back?" Gongenzaka questions.
"I don't get this! Just what is going on?!" Gongenzaka exclaims frustrated about the contradicting information while clutching his head.
"Fusion and Xyz... I can't imagine it's just a dispute between two schools... There has to be some kind of... larger power behind it..." Yuya voices her opinion.
"I don't know any Ruri! There is no way I would anyways!" Sora states.
"Then do you at least know where the hostages are?" Yuto asks.
"I don't! All I know is that your so called prisoners of war don't exist!" Sora plainly says.
"Don't exist?" Yuto repeats.
"Because people who are hunted get put into cards!" Sora says with a slightly mocking expression.
"So I'm shure she is to..." Sora says, causing Yuto's eyes to widen while he gasps.
"More importantly, where is he?" Sora asks in a serious tone while ignoring Yuto's expression.
"He?" Yuto asks.
"Shun Kurosaki! I have to settle the score with him!" Sora declares as he gets up while grabbing his duel disk.
"That's already been settled. You lost." Yuto says.
"I didn't lose! There's no way I would lose to Xyz scum! Take me to him now! I'll beat him to a pulp this time! If I go all out, someone like him would easily..." Sora declares shouting.
"Where is that shouting coming from?" they hear a guard ask.
"This way!" another says.
"Who are you?!" one of the guards ask as they reach the door and see Yuto.
At that, Yuto dashes out, his movements like those of a shadow moving on the wall, to fast for them to react.
"Wait!" Sora yells, before starting to run after him.
"You shouldn't be moving yet!" one of the guards tells Sora.
"Move it!" Sora yells, before knocking both of the guards out.
"Did you see him? No, not over here! Where could he have gone? I'll search this way!" the guards say amongst themselves catching Yuya, Yuzu and Gongenzaka's attention.
"What's all the fuzz about?" Gongenzaka asks.
"He might already have gotten outside! Contact headquarters immediately! Tell them that Sora Shiunin has escaped! Yes sir!" they hear the guard say making them gasp slightly.
"I'll put together a search team for the entire city in pursuit of Sora right away." Nakajima tells Reji after informing him about the situation.
"No, we're currently running a tournament. Don't make a scene." Reji orders.
"But sir-!" Nakajima tries to say.
"First, use all of the city's cameras to confirm his whereabouts. I'll head to the observation room soon as well." Reji instructs as he stands up from his desk.
"Dad said he'll be here soon!" Yuzu says.
"All right, let's split up and search! I'll head toward the ocean." Gongenzaka exclaims the plan.
"Then I'll go towards Central Park." Yuya says.
"I'll go this way then." Yuzu says.
In the central park.
A camera catches Sora as he runs around.
In LDS control room, Reji, Shun, Reira and Nakajima watch the camera feed over a screen.
"Location?" Nakajima asks.
"Central Park!" an employee says.
"Send a team over immediately and capture him!" Nakajima orders.
"Wait." Reji says as he keeps observing.
"Turn the camera to where Sora Shiunin is looking." Reji instructs after seeing that Sora stopped running.
When they turn the camera, they see Yuto standing on an outdoor theaters stage with his back turned toward both the camera and Sora.
"That's...!" Nakajima says.
"Hurry up and get him! Shun Kurosaki!" Sora furiously demands.
Hearing that, Yuto turns to face him.
"He is... he looks just like Yuya Sakaki!" Nakajima observes shocked.
"That is Yuto." Shun tells them.
"Yuto?" Reji repeats.
"He's my comrade." Shun elaborates.
"I see... I had suspected that there were two Xyz users attacking LDS, but... It was you and Yuto, wasn't it?" Reji says.
"But that face... he looks exactly like Yuya Sakaki." Nakajima says.
At that, Reji notices that Reira started trembling at the site of Yuto.
"Hurry up and get Kurosaki!" Sora demands.
"You want to fight Shun again with those injuries?" Yuto questions.
"Yes! This time I definitely won't lose! To someone like him... Xyz scum are all destined to be hunted by me! You, Kurosaki... and even that Ruri girl you talked about!" Sora declares.
At the mention of Ruri's name, Yuto perks up slightly, while Shun narrows his eyes as his anger starts flaring up.
"There's no way I would lose to Xyz users! I'll prove to you that if I fight seriously, I'm the stronger one! If your going to hide him, I won't show you any mercy!" Sora declares.
"I don't know where this girl is, but... I bet she was turned into a card. Or maybe there might actually be a way to save her..." Sora exclaims.
"What?" Yuto says hopeful.
"What way would that be?" Shun exclaims gaining a glimmer of hope.
"By destroying all of us!" Sora says with a smirk.
"But that's impossible for the likes of you though." Sora taunts.
Hearing that, Shun turns away ready to leave the control room.
"Wait, Kurosaki!" Nakajima tries to stop him.
"Let me go!" Shun demands.
"No. You'll only cause more of a scene if you go. And if this causes the Maiami Championship to end... my entire plan will amount to nothing." Reji exclaims, to which Shun glares at him with narrowed eyes.
"Don't forget that this is a selection exam to determine which duelists are fit to fight against Leo Akaba." Reji reminds him.
"Besides, even if you don't go..." Reji says before returning his attention to the screen.
After hearing Sora's words, Yuto puts on and activates his duel disk.
"Oh! Finally feeling up to it? That's more like it! I'll take you out first before I finish off Kurosaki! I'll prove that I can deal with every Xyz user in this world by myself!" Sora exclaims.
"I won't let that happen. Defeating you will be the first step towards saving Ruri!" Yuto declares.
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuto and Sora say as they start.

"With Edge Imp Tomahawk, I can once per turn, send one Edge Imp monster from my hand to my Graveyard to deal 800 points of damage to my opponent!" Sora explains as he discards a card and Yuto is blasted against a wall, with the impact leaving a crater.
Yuto: 4000 - 3200 LP
"Think of that as a little greeting from me. I end my turn." Sora exclaims.
"800 points of damage right out of the gates?' Nakajima observes.
"Don't worry. Yuto would never falter against this amount of damage." Shun assures them.
Meanwhile Reira keeps trembling until Reji puts a hand on her shoulder.
"Watch closely." Reji tells her, to which she complies, much to her own discomfort.
"Are you okay? Feel free to call Kurosaki out and trade spots with him!" Sora says in a taunting manner as he sees Yuto getting up.
"My turn!" Yuto says with determination as he draws.

"I summon Phantom Knights Dusty Robe!" Yuto says as his monster appears.

"First off is a monster with 800 Attack Points, huh? Now how will you advance your plays, Mr. Xyz Looser?" Sora taunts with a slight laugh at the site of the monster.
"When I control a Level 3 Phantom Knights monster, I can Special Summon Phantom Knights Silent Boots!" Yuto explains, ignoring the taunt, as his second monster appears.
Phantom Knights Silent Boots (LV.3) (200ATK/1200DEF)
"I get it... Since you've got two Level 3 monsters..." Sora says in a taunting manner.
"I Overlay my Level 3 Phantom Knights Dusty Robe and Silent Boots! Souls of warriors fallen on the battlefield. Revive now and become light to rend the darkness! Xyz Summon! Come forth! Rank 3! Phantom Knights Break Sword!" Yuto chants to which his Dullahan Xyz monster appears, and creates a shockwave upon landing on the ground.
Phantom Knights Break Sword (Rank.3) (O.U.2) (2000ATK/1000DEF)
"Here it is! An Xyz monster!" Sora says as he looks at Break Sword.
"Battle! I attack Edge Imp Tomahawk with Break Sword!" Yuto says to which his monster cuts Tomahawk in half and sends Sora skidding back a bit.
Sora: 4000 - 3800 LP
"I set two cards and end my turn!" Yuto says as his facedowns materialize.
"Well, it wouldn't be any fun if you couldn't at least do this." Sora says.
At the same time in another section of the park.
"It's no good! No matter how many times I call him, he won't pick up!" Yuya tells Yuzu over her duel disk as she runs through the park.
"Gongenzaka said the same thing! Just where is he and what is he doing...?" Yuzu replies while running through the streets.
"Anyways, all we can do is look for him! I'll call you again!" Yuya tells her before hanging up.
Back with Yuto and Sora.
"Now that you've shown off your Xyz, it's time for me to go all out! My turn!" Sora says as he draws.

"I activate the Magic Card, Fusion!" Sora declares, making Yuto and Shun flinch slightly at the site of the card.
"The cards I'm going to fuse are Edge Imp Scissors and Furnimal Bear in my hand! Claws of the demon! Fangs of the beast! Become one and reveal a new form and power! Fusion Summon! Appear, horrifying beast that shreds everything! Death-Toy Scissors Bear!" Sora chants to which his fusion appears.

At that moment Yuya arrives and sees Sora standing with Scissors Bear next to him.
"Sora!" Yuya mutters, before turning to see who he is dueling which causes her breath to hitch.
"That's...! He looks just like me! Is that the Yuto guy Yuzu was talking about?" Yuya wonders as she looks at him.
"Time to battle! I attack Break Sword with Bear!" Sora says to which his monster disassembles Break Sword into parts with a single punch, the blast pushing Yuto back a bit.
Yuto: 3200 - 3000 LP
"At this moment, I activate Break Sword's effect! When this monster leaves the field, I can Special Summon its Xyz materials as Level 4 monsters!" Yuto explains as his monsters revive with higher levels.
Phantom Knights Dusty Robe (LV.3 - 4) (800ATK/1000DEF)

"Phantom Knights will never fall! No matter how many times you take them down, they will always revive! This is how we of the Resistance fight!" Yuto declares.
"Resistance?" Yuya repeats confused.
"Fusion... Enemy...!" Yuya says as she tries connecting some of the dots in her mind.
"Bear's effect activates! When this card destroys a monster in battle, it can equip that monster!" Sora explains as Break Sword returns only to be eaten by Scissors Bear in a single bite, the monster burping after its meal.
"And then its Attack Points get added to Bear's!" Sora explains as his monster grows bigger and stronger.
Death-Toy Scissors Bear (LV.6) (2200 - 4200ATK/1800DEF)
"This means that your Xyz monsters are only going to be nutrients for Bear! Now, go ahead and Xyz again with those monsters you Summoned! I'll devour those as well! I set one card and end my turn!" Sora declares as his facedown materializes.
"My turn!" Yuto says as he draws.

"I Overlay the Level 4 Phantom Knights Dusty Robe and Silent Boots!" Yuto says.
"He's really doing it!" Sora says with a slight laugh that rings with both amusement and excitement.
"Formed from pitch black darkness to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now, Descend! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto chants to which his ace appears.
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (Rank.4) (O.U.2) (2500ATK/2000DEF)
"Dark Rebellion... Xyz Dragon!?" Yuya mutters.
"That dragon... the rage it holds against fusion monsters is unimaginable." Yuya thinks as she feels Dark Rebellions emotions at the sight of Sora's monster.
"Just what are you going to do with a monster that just has a measly 2500 Attack Points? Right now, Bear's Attack Points are already at 4200!" Sora exclaims.
"I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, It can halve the Attack Points of an opponents Level 5 or higher monster until the end of the turn... and increase its own Attack Points by that amount! Treason Discharge!" Yuto explains as his monster wraps Sora's up with purple electricity, powering it down while powering itself up.

Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (Rank.4) (O.U.2 - 1) (2500 - 4600ATK/2000DEF)
"This is bad... if he uses the remaining Overlay Unit, Bear's Attack Points will lower to 1050..." Sora thinks as he starts to panic slightly and his eyes widen a bit.
"Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's Attack Points will be at 5650!" Yuya finishes the same thought, her eyes wide and scared for her friend.
"Battle" Yuto declares.
"What?!" Sora says shocked, and Yuya, while silent, thinks the same.
"I attack Death-Toy Scissors Bear with Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Revolt of Lightning Disobey!" Yuto orders to which his monster impales Bear with its fang, destroying it and creating an explosion that blasts Sora away.
Sora: 3800 - 1300 LP
"This isn't even a Solid Vision Field, but these shockwaves...!" Yuya says, before she sees Sora panting on the ground, making her gasp.
"I end my turn with this. At this moment, Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's Attack Points return to normal." Yuto says as his monsters power up ends.
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (Rank.4) (O.U.1) (4600 - 2500ATK/2000DEF)
"Sora!" Yuya calls as she rushes over to him.
"That's!" Nakajima says surprised at seeing her, while Shun narrows his eyes slightly.
"Yuya Sakaki!" Reji says, while Reira looks at her over the screen and eases up a bit.
"Are you okay, Sora?" Yuya asks as she kneels down to check on him.
"Go away! This isn't any of your business!" Sora tells her off as he starts getting up.
"What are you talking about?! Why did you sneak out here to Duel when you should be getting rest in the hospital?!" Yuya questions, while Sora narrows his eyes in rage as he glares at Yuto, who in turn glares at him with narrowed eyes.
"He's...! Holding back against me?! Damn it! He's making fun of me!" Sora says enraged as he gets up while slightly wincing.
"I'll... I'll never forgive you!" Sora tells him.
"That's enough! If you keep this up your body will...!" Yuya tries to tell him.
"Shut up! I'm still not going all out yet! I'll prove that if I get serious, I'm the stronger one!" Sora snaps at her.
"You can do that anytime! Like in the next tournament!" Yuya tries to reason with him.
"There isn't a next time! In a real battle, there isn't another chance!" Sora exclaims.
"That's right." Yuto says gaining their attention.
"But even if you are my enemy, I can't bring myself to hurt you anymore. If you surrender now, I'll end this so that you won't suffer." Yuto exclaims.
"What are you planning on doing?!" Yuya questions but is only met by silence.
"Answer me! That Kurosaki guy tried to do something to Sora too!" Yuya demands.
"You said I have to destroy Fusion if I want to save Ruri, right?" Yuto asks Sora while ignoring Yuya.
"Ruri?" Yuya asks and Yuto closes his eyes.
"A large building can be brought down by a single anthill. I'll have you become the first crack that we drill into the wall of Fusion!" Yuto exclaims.
While looking at Yuto, Yuya also sees Shun at the same time and steps forward.
"Stop it! I won't let you harm my friends anymore!" Yuya declares, to which Yuto flinches in surprise.
"If you want to do this, then I'll take you on!" Yuya declares as she puts on and activates her duel disk, joining the duel.

"Using Scale 1 Stargazer Magician and Scale 8 Timegazer Magician, I set the Pendulum Scale! With this I'm able to simultaneously summon multiple monsters from Level Two to Seven!" Yuya exclaims as her magicians appear in the scales.

"Swing Pendulum of the Soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Appear my monster! Entermate Poisonous Butterfly!" Yuya chants as her monster appears.
Entermate Poisonous Butterfly (LV.4) (P.S.2) (1600ATK/1000DEF)
"I activate Poisonous Butterfly's effect! When she is Special Summoned, I can Special Summon a Pendulum monster from my Deck or Graveyard! From my Deck I Summon Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya explains as a card is ejected from her duel disk and Poisonous Butterfly releases violet particles from her wings, which assemble in front of Yuya, with her dragon emerging from them.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (LV.7) (P.S.4) (2500ATK/2000DEF)
At that moment, Yuya notices that Yuto started holding a hand over his chest while appearing to be in pain.
After the dragons kept staring at each other, Dark Rebellion lets out a roar directed toward Odd-Eyes. Meanwhile Odd-Eyes moves in front of Yuya as if to shield and protect her from Dark Rebellion while growling at the latter.
"It's as if the Xyz dragon is trying to call out to the Pendulum dragon..." Nakajima observes, while Reira's eyes gain a glint of fear from seeing Dark Rebellion's actions.
"Odd-Eyes...? He is scared... Of Dark Rebellion? No. That can't be right. If that roar was a message or something like that then maybe Odd-Eyes didn't like whatever he heard. Either way, if you don't want to have him around partner then we'll take him out right now!" Yuya thinks with determination after sensing her dragons fear.
"I activate Poisonous Butterfly's second effect. By Releasing her, I can target a Special Summoned monster on my field and double its Attack Points until the end of this turn!" Yuya explains as Butterfly vanishes in a cloud of pheromones, which are absorbed by Odd-Eyes who gets a power up from them.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (LV.7) (P.S.4) (2500 - 5000ATK/2000DEF)
"Battle! I attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon with Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya says to which her dragon fires at Dark Rebellion who responds by releasing an energy wave from his wings to try and counter, only for Odd-Eyes attack to burst through.
"I activate the Continuous Trap, Phantom Fog Blade! This card negates your attack! And as long as I control this card, Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon cannot attack!" Yuto explains as the traps sword turns Odd-Eyes flames to steam, and its phantasmal blade hits Odd-Eyes and makes him slide back a bit.
"A trap that negates attacks?!" Sora observes.
"If he had that card Set, he could have stopped my Bear's attack!" Sora says enraged at the realization.
"So he took that attack in order to perform another Xyz Summon..." Reji observes, while Shun reacts with subtle pride.
"You baited out my attack just so you could Xyz Summon again! And in your attack earlier, you didn't use one of your Overlay Units! How... How much more are you going to make a fool of me!? I will never forgive you! Never!" Sora yells enraged, to which Yuto doesn't react at all and only glances toward Yuya.
"I activate Timegazer Magician's Pendulum effect! Once per turn, he can negate the activation of a Trap Card that targets a Pendulum monster I control! Inverse Gearwidth!" Yuya explains as her magician rewinds time to the point before Phantom Fog Blade activated.
"Alright!" Yuya says, but before she can do anything else
"I activate my Trap, Booby Trap E! By revealing a Set card on my field, this card copies the effect of that card!" Yuto explains as his second trap replicates the first and undoes Yuya's negation.
"Then that means the Trap that Timegazer negated..." Yuya realizes.
"That's right, since it has the same effect as Phantom Fog Blade... your attack is negated. And as long as I control this card, your dragon cannot attack!" Yuto confirms.
"I end my turn here. At this moment Poisonous Butterfly's effect ends and Odd-Eyes Attack Points return to normal." Yuya says frustrated at her situation while her dragons power up ends.
Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon (LV.7) (P.S.4) (5000 - 2500ATK/2000DEF)
"If you can't do anything, then get lost!" Sora snaps at Yuya as he walks over to her and pushes her away.
"Sora!" Yuya says surprised by the act.
"He's my prey! Don't interfere Yuya!" Sora declares.
"Your prey?! What the heck is that?! What does that even mean!?" Yuya questions while Sora keeps glaring furiously at Yuto.
"Answer me, Sora! You said the same thing during your duel with Kurosaki! You said they were just prey for your hunting games!" Yuya presses for answers.
"Yuzu told me... Your friends took Kurosaki's little sister! It seems like they're the ones who kidnapped Ruri!" Yuya says, which surprises Shun and Yuto.
"Yuzu said that...!?" Sora questions.
"She said she heard it from Yuto..." Yuya tells him.
"Is that really true!? Answer me! You're Yuto, aren't you!?" Yuya questions him.
"That's right." Yuto confirms his identity as he closes his eyes.
"Tell me then! What happened?! Why do you guys hate each other so much!?" Yuya questions, but is only met by silence.
"Why aren't you saying anything!? Answer me!" Yuya demands.
"There's no way they could! If they do, they'd have to show their weak side!" Sora says with a cocky smile as he puts a lollipop in his mouth and bites of a piece.
"What?!" Yuya asks as she turns toward him.
"He's just a remanent of those losers. They're just runaways from the Xyz Dimension that my allies took over!" Sora says as he drops the lollipop to the ground and crushes it under his boot.
"Xyz Dimension!?" Yuya repeats with a gasp.
"Shut up! We have not been taken over! And Shun and I didn't run away! We came to this world to oppose the Fusion Dimension!" Yuto declares with rage, while Shun grits his teeth in anger at Sora's words.
"Fusion Dimension!?" Yuya repeats with a gasp.
"Xyz Dimension... Fusion Dimension...?! What the heck is that?!" Yuya questions being lost to what is going on.
"It means that he and that Kurosaki guy aren't from this world! They came from another world, the Xyz Dimension!" Sora says while pointing at Yuto.
"Another world?!" Yuya repeats shocked.
"My allies fought gallantly and won against the Xyz Dimension! If I lose, I'd be smearing mud on their honor! And more than that, I cannot forgive myself! I was the top of the elite class in Academia and was even given this special mission... To think I'd lose to Xyz scum! There is no way that would happen!" Sora declares.

"I activate my Trap, Death-Toy Custom! With this cards effect, I can Special Summon Edge Imp Tomahawk from my Graveyard and have it be treated as a Death-Toy monster!" Sora explains as his monster revives.
Edge Imp Tomahawk (LV.4) (1800ATK/800DEF)
"Due to its effect, the Edge Imp DT Modoki in my Graveyard is always treated as a Death-Toy monster!" Sora explains.
"Then, I activate the Magic Card, Death-Toy Fusion! Using Edge Imp Tomahawk on my field, along with Edge Imp DT Modoki and Death-Toy Scissors Bear in my Graveyard, I can perform a Fusion Summon!" Sora explains.
"I'll make you realize how powerful I am! The real power I developed at Academia! I'll bring out the strongest monster with real Fusion Summoning!" Sora declares.
But before his Magic Card can be properly registered by his duel disk, the screen starts glitching and turns red showing the message "Duel Close" as his duel disk deactivates and starts releasing a red light.
"Stop! I don't want to go yet!" Sora panickily says as he tries to take off his duel disk.
"Sora!" Yuya calls worried and confused about what is happening.
"Wait please! Until I defeat him! Until I finish off that Xyz user!" Sora begs while Yuto watches emotionless.
"I can't go back to Academia!" Sora yells as he reaches forward while his body is engulfed in a blue light and he disappears into particles.
Sora: disconnetcted. Lose
"Sora... Sora!" Yuya says at the sight of her friend vanishing.
"Hey! What is going on!? What just happened!?" Yuya panickily questions Yuto.
"He ran away back to his dimension." Shun says.
"Rather than running away, its more likely he was forced to return." Reji corrects him.
"It must have been programmed into his duel disk. When his true objectives were revealed, it would activate." Reji deduces.
"He went back to the Fusion Dimension." Yuto says.
"Went back!?" Yuya questions.
"Yes. He was originally a person from that world." Yuto confirms with a nod.
"That world...?! What is this ridiculous garbage you've been spewing?!" Yuya snaps at him.
"Sora is from the Fusion Dimension... You and Kurosaki are from the Xyz Dimension!? Are you saying there are other worlds than this one?!" Yuya questions.
"That's correct." Yuto calmly replies.
"Stop screwing around! There's no way I can believe that! Hurry up and give Sora back! He was injured during his fight with Kurosaki!" Yuya exclaims.
"You don't have to worry about that. Academia should have their own doctors." Yuto says.
"Academia?! Sora mentioned that name too..." Yuya mutters at that.
"Just what the heck is the Academia?!" Yuya asks.
"Academia is... A Training School for Duel Soldiers in the Fusion Dimension!" Yuto says while clenching his fist.
"Duel Soldiers?" Yuya repeats shocked.
In the Fusion Dimension, a castle structure is located on a remote island. Academia.
In a courtyard, students wearing red, yellow and blue uniforms similar to Sora's walk around going through daily life there.
A student in a yellow uniform notices Sora lying unconscious face down in the grass.
In a room with a machine that emits a green light with thousands of cards falling inside it.
"The medical division has provided accommodations for the students who contacted them. It appears the force return program was activated... Which means he has revealed his true motives to our enem-" a man wearing red reports to a bald man with a metal plate on his head wearing purple, who has his back turned toward him while looking at the machine.
"Standard us not our enemy." the bald man cuts in and glances back toward him.
"Yes. Pardon me sir." the man in red says.
"I'm sure we'll understand the situation once we investigate his memories." the man in purple says after turning back to the machine.
"Yes sir. I shall make preparations immediately, Professor." the man in red says as he bows before leaving.
Back with Yuya and Yuto
"Now that Sora Shiunin has left, it would be my turn, but... This duel no longer has any reason to continue." Yuto says after starting his turn.

"I activate the Quick-Play Magic, Emergency Provisions! I can send any number of Magic and Trap Cards from my field to the Graveyard and gain 1000 life points for each one." Yuto explains as his traps are destroyed and he gains life points.

"And I end my turn." Yuto says.
"Are you sure?! With your Trap gone, I can attack you with Odd-Eyes!" Yuya points out.
"If you want to, then do it." Yuto says, making Yuya's eyes widen.
"There's no way I could!" Yuya declares, feeling insulted that he thought that she would do that, and removes her deck causing her duel disk to deactivate and her cards to disappear from the field.
Seeing that, Yuto instantly does the same.

No Result.
"You said that Sora would be the first step in destroying the Fusion Dimension... But with Sora disappearing like that, aren't you relieved somewhere deep down?" Yuya questions.
"Even back in your duel with him, you would have won if you had used two Overlay Units... But you tried to end it by only using one to destroy Sora's monster!" Yuya points out.
"Could it be that you really don't want to fight?!" Yuya asks.
"Those guys... The people of Academia are invaders! They invaded the Xyz Dimension and kidnapped my... comrade... my best friends little sister!" Yuto explains, pausing slightly before saying comrade as if he wanted to say something else.
"Our homeland was attacked by them!" Yuto says.
"And turned into a battlefield..." Shun says, listening in from the control room.
Hearing that Reira turns to look at him.
"Your homeland...? The Xyz Dimension was?!" Yuya gasps at that.
"Academia calls it that... Just as they all use Fusion Summoning, the people of our world all use Xyz Summoning..." Yuto explains surprising Yuya.
"But it was never used as a tool for fighting! Our duels were there to make everyone smile and have fun! That's right... until that day... the day when Academia attacked us!" Yuto exclaims.
"Heartland was overflowing with peoples smiles. Until they came... and turned one person after another into cards!" Yuto says, leaving Yuya speechless.
Remembering all that, Shun slams his fist on his leg while being in emotional agony.
Noticing that Reira looks toward him, and Reji grits his teeth while clenching his clasped hands with an expression of fury.
"Brother..." Reira says when she notices.
"Something like that... I can't believe that! Using dueling to take over worlds!?" Yuya says in shock at the horrible information.
"Do you think it doesn't concern you since you're from such a faraway world? The world is larger than what you perceive it to be! There are plenty of things happening in places unseen! In this reality, I saw countless people get turned into cards in front of my very own eyes!" Yuto exclaims.
"A world we don't know of... Does it really exist...? Fusion Dimension and Xyz Dimension? Then does that mean...?!" Yuya questions as she lets the new information sink in.
"Yes. It certainly exists. The Synchro Dimension." Yuto confirms her suspicion while remembering his clash with the white rider.
"It's still a mystery as to why the worlds are divided by summoning methods. But it's an undeniable truth." Yuto says.
"Then what about here!? What is our dimension called?!" Yuya asks.
"Standard. Those at the Academia call this world by that name." Yuto tells her.
"Standard..." Yuya repeats.
"The foundation of all that exists, the center world." Yuto says
In the Fusion Dimension.
Sora is strapped down on a table with a headset locked over his eyes and his upper arms and chest wrapped in bandages. He is injected with a chemical by the neck which causes his vitals to skyrocket.
"Fusion... Xyz... Synchro... Standard... The world is divided into four different dimensions. And the Fusion Dimension is invading the Xyz Dimension..." Yuya summarizes the new information.
"Why did something like that happen!?" Yuya asks.
"That's because of Leo Akaba's ambition!" Reji mutters the answer, with his voice full of hate which startles Reira.
"I don't get anything about this dimension nonsense! But I know this! Dueling is not a tool for conflicts! And even less for invading... The dueling that I believe in... is entertainment to make people happy and to put smiles on their faces!" Yuya declares, surprising Yuto and Shun, the latter scoffing after a second.
"Even now, I remember it clearly. My father united everyone with dueling! That power was in the Action Dueling that my dad created and polished! The power to grab people's attention and bring a smile to their face! I even felt like I was just getting a bit closer to that... That was dueling! The Entertainment Dueling I believe in!" Yuya exclaims as she clutches her pendant while recounting a time when she watched her father duel at the stadium, and the finale of her duel with Sawatari.
"To think that dueling is being used as a tool to hurt people...! I can't forgive it!" Yuya declares as her sad expression turns into determination.
Hearing all that, in Yuto's eyes, Yuya's form is overlapped with that of a girl with long dark hair, making his eyes widen.
"You..." Yuto mutters in disbelief and surprise as one of his hands is about to reach out to her.
Though he stops when a green light shines to their side out of nowhere, shocking them both.
"What is that?" Yuya asks as she uses her arms to shield her eyes.
At that the camera feed in the control room turns to static.
"What's wrong!? What happened!?" Nakajima questions the employees.
"The circuit has been disconnected! All cameras in the area are not responding!" an employee reports.
"What?!" Nakajima exclaims, while Reji keeps staring at the static screen.
When the light clears, Yuya lowers her arms and looks to the spot from which the light came.
"Ow... Dammit, what's this thing doing here!?" the white rider Yuto encountered before says after crashing into the pole containing the camera with his D-Wheel and breaking it.
"Jeez..." he says as he takes of his helmet, revealing his blue hair and yellow bangs, but most importantly that he has the same face as Yuya and Yuto which shocks them both.
"You're!" Yuto gasps at that.
"Huh?" the rider says as he looks at him and gasps slightly.
"You're! It's finally time for me to finish you! I've been looking for you!" the rider declares making Yuto grimace.
"There are two guys who look like me...!?" Yuya wonders shocked as she looks at them.
"Don't we have any other cameras inside the park!?" Nakajima asks.
"They're too far away. So we can't see the target!" an employee replies.
"Sora Shiunin might have come back with reinforcements from the Fusion Dimension! Let me go!" Shun demands.
"Raise the energy observation level for Central Park. If we have been invaded by a significant amount of duelists, there should be a reaction." Reji orders his staff.
"That's naive! While you're just watching here, they'll-" Shun protests.
"This is my city. I will decide how I protect it." Reji says after turning to look at him.
"We may have been interrupted during our match last time, but... I'll never lose against you one on one!" the rider declares while he points at Yuto.
"Come on, duel me! I'll definitely wipe the floor with you this time!" the rider declares.
"Fine then, I'll take you on, Pawn of Fusion!" Yuto exclaims while activating his duel disk.
"Pawn of Fusion?!" Yuya repeats surprised.
"What do you mean Fusion? My name is Yugo! Stop getting it wrong!" Yugo exclaims irritated by the fact that he thinks his name was spelled wrong.
"Yugo?!" Yuya yelps surprised.
Yugo activates his D-Wheel and it switches to duel mode, with his duel disk emerging and activating, while the system notifies that the autopilot is on standby.
At that Yuto gets into position to fight.
"Let's go!" Yugo exclaims after putting on his helmet.
"Duel!" "Duel!" Yuto and Yugo say as they start and Yugo starts driving.

"A Tuner Monster? That means..." Yuya says knowing what comes next.
"I Tune my Level 3 Beigomax with my Level 3 Tri-Eyed Dice! Magical sword in the form of a cross. Use your power to rend all enemies! Synchro Summon! Appear now! Level 6! High-Speedroid Devil Sword Dama!" Yugo chants as his Synchro monster appears.

"Summoning energy detected!" an employee reports.
"Is it Fusion?" Nakajima asks.
"No, it's Synchro! And an extremely powerful one!" the employee replies.
"What?!" Nakajima exclaims.
"A Synchro Summon..." Reji mutters curious.
"A Synchro monster... Don't tell me he is..." Yuya observes, which tells her which dimension Yugo is from.
"I activate Devil Sword Dama's effect! Once per turn, I can banish one Speedroid monster from my Graveyard to deal 500 points of damage to my opponent!" Yugo explains as Beigomax is banished and Sword Dama fires a blue energy stream at Yuto, who barely dodges as he takes damage.

"I set one card and end my turn." Yugo says as his facedown materializes.
"So Yugo uses Synchro... But Yuto's enemy is the Fusion Dimension!" Yuya says confused by the situation.
"My turn!" Yuto says as he draws and starts his turn.

"Now we're detecting a powerful Xyz Summoning energy!" an employee reports.
"This time it's Xyz? What is going on?!" Nakajima wonders.
"He's shown himself, the pawn of Fusion!" Shun angrily realizes.
"Pawn?" Reji questions.
"There's a Pawn of Fusion from the Synchro Dimension. Yuto must be fighting him right now! Hurry up and let me go!" Shun exclaims.
"I cannot." Reji says as he fixes his glasses.
"What?!" Shun exclaims.
"Even if what you say may be true, it has not been made clear that the Synchro Dimension is our enemy. Provoking him here and making him our enemy is not an optimal move." Reji states, making Shun grit his teeth.
"An Xyz monster that is summoned using Ragged Glove as an Xyz material gains 1000 Attack Points until the end of the turn!" Yuto explains as Break Sword powers up making its blade glow violet.

"Battle! Go, Break Sword! Attack Devil Sword Dama!" Yuto orders as he and his monster start running, with the monster making a jump toward its target slicing it in half.

"Whoa! That was a close one!" Yugo admits.
"I set one card and end my turn! At this moment, Break Sword's Attack Points return to normal." Yuto says as he stops running and his facedown materializes, while his monsters power up ends.

"Damn, now you've done it! I'm going to pay you back double... no, a million times!" Yugo curses as he stops before accelerating again while driving straight toward Yuto.

"I activate the Magic Card, Speed Rebirth! I can Special Summon one Speedroid from my Graveyard! Be reborn, Devil Sword Dama!" Yuto explains as he powerslides with his D-Wheel and his monster revives.

"I can't Normal Summon on the turn I use Speed Rebirth, but... this is more than enough to destroy your monster!" Yugo says as he ramps into the air toward Yuto again.
"Battle! I attack Break Sword with Devil Sword Dama!" Yugo declares mid air as his monster boosts towards its target.
"I activate the Continuous Trap, Phantom Sword! It increases Break Sword's Attack Points by 800!" Yuto explains as his monsters blade glows violet while the missing part appears on it and his monster powers up.

"Now Break Sword's Attack Points are greater than Devil Sword Dama's!" Yuya observes.
"Look at you underestimating me!" Yugo sneers.
"Then I'll activate my Trap Card as well! Speed Turn! It puts Break Sword into Defense mode and lowers its Defense Points by 500!" Yugo explains as Break Sword changes the stance of its blade into a blocking one while its defense decreases.

"I won't let that happen! When Break Sword would be destroyed by battle, I can destroy Phantom Sword instead!" Yuto exclaims as the clash only severs the fixed part of his monsters blade.

"But Devil Sword Dama inflicts piercing damage! You'll take the difference between its 2200 Attack Points and Break Sword's Defense Points as damage! Take 1700 points of piercing damage!" Yugo exclaims as Sword Dama plunges into the ground behind Yuto, blasting him away.

"What a shockwave!" Yuya says while holding her arms up to shield her eyes.
Yuto lands on his back after rolling on the ground for a moment, while Yugo stops his runner in front of Yuya, so focused on Yuto that he hasn't even noticed her yet.
"I set one card and end my turn." Yugo says as his facedown materializes.
Yuto tries to get up, but his physical pain makes it rather difficult for him.
"Yuto!" Yuya calls as she rushes over to him, but stops when he motions her to do so as he gets up slowly

"I can negate this attack using Tri-Eyed Dice's effect in the Graveyard... But!" Yugo thinks as his eyes narrow in determination, while he lets his monster be destroyed and himself take damage.
Yugo: 3200 - 2600 LP
"I set one card and end my turn. At this moment, Break Sword's Attack Points return to normal." Yuto says as his facedown materializes and his monsters power up ends.

"I won't lose to a Pawn of Fusion!" Yuto simply states.
"I keep telling you my name is Yugo! Quit it with the Fusion this, Fusion that! Now I'm pissed off! First you take away what I held precious, and then you keep getting my name wrong!" Yugo snaps at him.
"You're the one who took things from us!" Yuto counters.
"Shut up! We can talk after I beat your face in!" Yugo yells as he starts his D-Wheel again and heads straight for Yuto.
"My turn!" Yugo says as he draws and drives past Yuto.

At that, a small glow comes from Yugo's extra deck and a roar echoes through the field, making Yuto wince.
"That was a dragon's roar... and from the sound of it they want to fight. Judging from their expressions, it looks like both of them heard it as well. I don't know about Yugo but Yuto didn't seem to be able to do the same thing as me earlier so how can he hear it now?" Yuya wonders after hearing the roar.
"I know! I know you want to fight him, so I'll call you out right now!" Yugo says.
"Let's go! I Tune my Level 4 Double Yoyo with my Level 3 Tri-Eyed Dice! Spread those wonderous and beautiful wings, and strike down your enemies at the speed of light! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 7! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yugo chants as his dragon appears.

"This feeling of power and the thrill of acceleration I can feel... this one seems to be more on the playful side. And also, she's breathtaking, beautiful." Yuya thinks as she observes Clear Wing.
"Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon, attack Break Sword!" Yugo orders to which his dragon flies into the air above the park and looks down at Break Sword, who in turn looks up at her, before Clear Wing roars and dives toward her target with her wings starting to shine slightly from body to tip, the sight captivating Yuya.
"Helldive Whirlwind Slasher!" Yugo calls as Clear Wing spins in a circle for a moment, creating a whirlwind around her, before she crashes through Break Sword, breaking it apart and blasting Yuto backward.
Yuto: 1800 - 1300 LP
"Yuto!" Yuya calls as she tries to run toward him.
"Stay back!" Yuto tells her before getting up and running off, while Yuya stops in her tracks.
"I activate Break Sword's effect! When this monster leaves the field, I can Special Summon its Xyz Materials as Level 4 monsters!" Yuto explains as Silent Boots and Ragged Glove emerge from pale blue flames.

"I activate the Magic Card, Hidden Shot! I banish Speedroid Double Yoyo from my Graveyard and destroy Dusty Robe!" Yugo explains as Double Yoyo is banished and his Magic Card blasts and destroys Dusty Robe.
"With this, I end my turn." Yugo says as he stops his D-Wheel.
"You know why I left those two, right? Go on, bring it out. My Clear Wing Synchro Dragon is waiting... I'm certain that I was guided here by my dragon. Just like when I went to your world called Heartland! This time we'll settle the score! Now, call out your Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yugo tells Yuto.
"Settle the score?" Yuto asks.
"My turn!" Yuto says as he draws.

"I Overlay the Level 4 Ragged Glove and Silent Boots! Formed from pitch black darkness, to fight those foolish enough to oppose it with its treacherous fangs! Now, descend! Xyz Summon! Rank 4! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon!" Yuto chants as his dragon appears behind him.
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (Rank.4) (O.U.2) (2500ATK/2000DEF)
After locking eyes for a second the dragons start roaring at eachother as if they are calling out to one another.
"What is this feeling? Why do I feel afraid?" Yuya questions as she feels a cold shower down her back and panic starts boiling inside her.
"Every fiber of my being is telling me to run away, and even my monsters, I can feel them wanting me to leave as fast as I can run, especially Odd-Eyes, he seems even more panicked than he was earlier. Just what is going on?" Yuya thinks as she takes deep breaths to try to calm herself.
When she looks toward Yuto she sees that he is in pain while he grits his teeth with his eyes closed. When they snap open though, they are glowing bright blue with his irises sclera and pupils not even visible.
"Yuto!" Yuya gasps when she sees that.
At the same time, Yugo seems to be in the same state, gritting his teeth in pain while his eyes are glowing, though his are glowing in an aqua green.
"Very well, let's end this." Yuto says, his voice void of emotion.
"With my Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon... I will destroy you... and then everything!" Yuto declares, his emotionless voice dripping into enraged madness at the last part.
"Yuto?!" Yuya whispers confused at hearing him say that.
"I activate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's effect! By using one Overlay Unit... It can halve the Attack Points of an opponents Level 5 or higher monster until the end of the turn... and increase its own Attack Points by that amount! Treason Discharge!" Yuto exclaims, his voice though emotionless echoes with whispers of pain and anger. All the while Clear Wing gets warped up by Dark Rebellion's electricity.
Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (Rank.4) (O.U.2 - 1) (2500ATK/2000DEF)
"With that effect, Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's Attack Points will drop to 1250, and Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's will go up to 3750!" Yuya observes.
"I activate Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect! When a Level 5 or higher monster is targeted by a monster effect, it can negate that effect and destroy that monster!" Yugo explains, his voice having slightly more anger in it than Yuto's.
"Negate and destroy!?" Yuya gasps.
"I will negate Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's effect which is targeting Clear Wing Synchro Dragon and destroy it! Dichroic Mirror!" Yugo declares as his dragons wings glow again, before it disperses the electricity surrounding it and releasing light from its wings that heads straight for Dark Rebellion.
"I activate the Trap, Phantom Wing! It negates Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon's destruction and increases its Attack Points by 500!" Yuto exclaims as his trap fends of the light from Clear Wing, while powering up Dark Rebellion.

"He avoided it! And increased his Attack Points on top of it!" Yuya observes.
"Destroy... You... Everything!" Yuto whispers with a growl.
"Yuto!" Yuya says shocked by that.
"Destroy everything! Burn everything to ashes!" Yugo growls.
"Yugo!" Yuya says shocked by what he is saying to.
"Eradicate everything!" Yuto and Yugo shout and growl at the same time, shocking Yuya.
"What are you saying?! Stop it! Quit using Dueling... Using Dueling to clash your hatred against each other!" Yuya begs them though her pleads fall on deaf ears.
"Go! Battle! Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon, attack Clear Wing Synchro Dragon!" Yuto orders but
"Stop it!" Yuya shouts as she runs in front of him and spreads out her arms, blocking him from going further, even though something inside her is screaming to stay away.
"This isn't dueling! I won't accept this! Duels are there to make people smile! They're there to make people happy! Dueling... Dueling isn't for hurting people! You said it yourself, didn't you!? Dueling filled your homeland with smiles! In Heartland!" Yuya pleads finally snapping Yuto out of his trance with his eyes returning to normal.
"I... don't want to hurt anyone..." Yuto says.
"Yuto..." Yuya says relieved but then Yuto falls to his knees.
"Yuto!" she calls again as she rushes over to check on him.
"I... end my turn." Yuto says.
"My turn!" Yugo says gaining Yuya's attention, showing her that he is still out of it.

"I summon Speedroid Shave Boomerang!" Yugo says as his monster appears.

"Stop it! You need to stop this too!" Yuya begs Yugo while standing in front of Yuto using her body to shield him.
"I activate Shave Boomerang's effect! Once per turn, I can change this monster to Defense mode and lower one monsters Attack Points by 300!" Yugo explains as his monster turns into a spinning boomerang.
"Right now, Dark Rebellion's Attack Points are 3000... Even if he lowers it by 300..." Yuya mutters after lowering her arms.
"I will lower Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's Attack Points!" Yugo declares.
"What?!" Yuya gasps shocked.
"At this moment, I activate Clear Wing Synchro Dragon's effect! Since a Level 5 monster has been targeted by an effect, I can negate Shave Boomerang and destroy it! Dichroic Mirror!" Yugo explains as his dragons wings start glowing and it releases a light at Boomerang, destroying it.
"I see! You're also...!" Yuya exclaims relieved, thinking he has come back to his senses.
"And its Attack Points increase by those of the destroyed monster!" Yugo finishes.
"What?!" Yuya gasps as she watches Clear Wing power up.
Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (LV.7) (2500 - 4500ATK/2000DEF)
"Battle! Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Attack Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon! Helldive Whirlwind Slasher!" Yugo orders as his dragon soars through the air, with its wings gaining a shine, before it spins to generate a whirlwind around it and shotting toward its target.
At that Dark Rebellion charges upward and clashes with Clear Wing before being overpowered and destroyed, with Clear Wing shooting down straight toward Yuya.
"Yuya!" Yuto calls as he pushes her out of the way and takes the impact from Clear Wings dive full force and head on, which blasts him away.
Yuto: 1300 - 0 LP

"Yuto!" Yuya calls worried as she bolts up and runs toward him.
"Hey are you okay?! Yuto!" Yuya questions panicked as she kneels beside his beaten body.
At that the card of Dark Rebellion in Yuto's hand begins to shine shocking her.
"Huh?! What have I been..." Yugo stutters disoriented after regaining his senses.
"What the?" he wonders as he sees the light that comes off from Dark Rebellion spreading around in a sphere form.
"Yuto!" Yuya calls as she sees him opening his eyes.
"Stay with me! Are you okay?!" Yuya asks while lifting his body a bit.
"Duels... With Smiles..." Yuto says with a sad smile as he holds out the card of his dragon.
"With your power... Give it to the world... and please... Save Ruri... so that like everyone else... she can have a future filled... with Smiles..." Yuto requests barely holding on.
"You want me to?" Yuya asks to which Yuto nods before losing consciousness.
At that moment the light emitted by Dark Rebellion becomes so bright that it forces Yuya to close her eyes, and even Yugo to cover his eyes. At the same time a black aura surrounds Yuto, which forms into a clawed hand that reaches for Yuya's neck.
A bit further away, from where the light isn't visible, Yuzu runs into the park.
"Huh? Why is my bracelet shining?" Yuzu wonders after noticing, before the light it releases becomes so bright that it blinds her.
At the same time, that very light spreads even to Yuya's location.
Yugo upon coming into contact with it, vanishes into pink particles.
When it reaches Yuya though, the hand that was mere inches from her neck is repelled away like its being burned by the light, and the pendant around her neck amplifies it, to the point that it withers away and forces it to retreat to wherever it came from.
After a few moments the light dies down and Yuzu reaches them.
"Yuto! Was Yuto here?" Yuzu wonders, suspecting he is behind the destruction she is seeing.
When she turns toward the hill, she sees Yuya on her knees staring into the sky, before falling to her side.
"Yuya!" Yuzu calls worried as she runs over to her.
"Yuya!" Yuzu calls before noticing that Yuya isn't alone.
"Yuto!" Yuzu yelps when she sees him beaten up and unconscious next to Yuya.
"Yuya, Yuto... What's wrong? What's going on? Wake up, Yuya? Yuya!" she pleads desperately with tears bordering her eyes as she shakes them both to try to wake them up, though she is more concerned with Yuya.
After seeing that they aren't reacting she takes out her duel disk.
"Gongenzaka! Come to the central park fast! I found Yuya and Yuto, and they're both unconscious and won't wake up! Please hurry!" she tells him over her duel disk, already hearing that he started running before hanging up.
In the Fusion dimension.
"After investigating the situation on Standard through the memories of our agent... We've obtained some interesting information." the Professor tells someone he has his back turned to while looking at the machine, as a screen showing an image of Yuzu from Sora's memories appears.
"Most likely, she is the fourth piece that I am seeking. Her name is Yuzu Hiiragi. You'll bring her to me, won't you? Yuri..." the professor tells Yuri, who aside from wearing a purple uniform with a small red cape over his shoulder, purple eyes, and pink hair with a layer of purple above, has most noticeably the same face as Yuya just like Yuto and Yugo.
"Of course professor, it shall be done." Yuri replies with the smile of a predator who found his prey as he takes a bow.
"Soon everything will be back to how it's supposed to be." the professor thinks after hearing the reply.
"If that devil thinks he can deceive me by taking on that form than he is highly mistaken. Enjoy your little masquerade while you can. But if you get in my way, I will eradicate you." the professor thinks with venom in his mind as he remembers a certain memory he obtained from Sora. To be precise a memory of Yuzu and Yuya spending time together after becoming a couple. The very display making him sick and furious beyond comprehension.
Unnoticed by either of them though, Yuri's shadow on the wall had grown demonic wings and had a smile on its face so evil and full of malice and bloodlust, that it made all of Yuri's cruelty and cold-heartedness seem like an innocent joke.
