Chapter 3 The New Flower blooms and The Arrival of Poppy.
she had locked or closed the door to her room but left it slightly open... SHe was crying looking to the side of her bed... In pain, anger and anguish... There was no great smile but... She was smiling out of sadness and joy... The last words of Hard Shell she said about her friends there with the first friend she made there was... Soothing, comforting... She only smiled at the miracle of a chance she had to say her forgiveness and seeing his last friend there for the last time... She just wondered who this figure was and the friend she had made first... Who he truly was...? As she cried herself and laughed at the same time... In pain, sorrow and joy and mourning... As she did her friends well some listened in mostly sprout and Glisten*
Rodger: I suppose you all saw her current state? What happened to her must've been tragic and drastic... She is no longer the same if I guess correctly so I advise we leave her alone and approach with caution toward her... *he said, warning them of potentially bad reactions*
Sprout: Oh that doesn't matter i saw her she was completely beat, hurt and scarred with some much dirt! And was she bleeding too! We have to check up on her! *he said determined to enter and check up on her* and we don't know where she's been! But yea maybe we should save those questions for later! Right now she's our friend! She needs our help! Even if it isn't to clean her up at least we can treat and help her with her open bleeding wound! *acting as overprotective as usual but he was correct on that. They did at least need to tend her wounds and open the bleeding wound, that's the most they should do right now...*
Glisten: come on darling, It's Poppy! How much could she have changed in one day? She's always ready to hear out ideas and rarely gets aggressive! She's one happy and calm girl! *as they argued and Astro tried to peer into her dream or current state as she was between half awake state and what he barely saw spooked him the face of the warden before backing out not wanting to see whatever else was there for the moment...*
Astro: Rodger is right... *shaken by what he saw for a mere second* it's best we don't get too involved right now or push it too far at least... Wherever she was... Had left her psyche and soul changed deeply... I cannot trust *pausing and sighing* that we'll be safe to push her too hard without suffering some backlash... From her. *coming from Astro who wasn't one to speak out a lot, meant whatever he saw, must've been hefty... Really hefty considering he could see nightmares sometimes too and those aren't pretty sometimes...*
Dandy: I think it's best we leave her alone for a bit... or at least 1 of us help and tend to her wounds... So she doesn't bleed out too much... Sprout or cosmo you should go in first or Boxten your the best candidates... Alright...? *he sounded concerned as he did when it came to caring for his friend meanwhile pebble looked and whimpered... He could feel that whatever Poppy carried from wherever she came back from... Was painful and ugly... It must've been... To make him howl out of sadness for her too*
Dandy: you too feel it huh? Oh what did our friend get herself into... And what did they do to her... *as the other toons looked at pebbles howl of mourning and sadness for poppy's situation and condition but did one toon as did her arrogant self went in along with Shrimpo saying 2 arrogant words*
Shrimpo: I hate when others get attention because of their state! I hate her! *they all looked bothered but not surprised coming from him who always hated everyone and everything no matter the setting or the time or as shown even situation but vee oh she pushed it*
Vee: she'll be fine. She's a bubble. How much pain could've she had gone through? My indicators say she's fine. We should just ask where she has been and all the trouble and problems she could've caused for us. Me. *as she scoffed the toons looked at her*
Scraps: that's low Vee even for you you cold computer! Get out! *Vee paused for a second as she walked off and scoffed at her before walking away... But she did care... She just wanted an excuse to check up on the toon who always gave her compliments and was there to cheer up! the only toon that was at her every Game Show she hosted, to participate whenever no one else wanted, Or who got right or wrong answers and always pitched in an idea for her gameshow. She was technically though she didn't admit it publicly was a Good friend.*
]Vee: Alright. Perhaps I pushed it. Good night Scraps. *before walking off feeling bad... Not looking back*
Dandy: give her time to cool off. Always wanting the spotlight even if her means and words are questionable. Anyways! Guys either sprout, cosmo or Boxten go!

Boxten tried speaking in before getting shoved* Boxten: i could maybe try to-
sprout cut him off and went in* Sprout: I know she's your closer friend but I think I should go in! At least to check up the wound and patch her up at least. *as dandy nodded*
Dandy: alright! It's decided Sprout and cosmo first sprout go in! And Boxten sorry. Maybe tomorrow when Things have settled down... Okay bud? *as he walked up to him* I know she's your friend but maybe giving her rest right now is the best thing we could do...
Boxten sighed as he worried about what could've happened to Poppy... What could have she gone through to change her to this much degree? That it could be noticed like this and even make pebble and Astro perturbed...? Who would've gotten her hurt this badly? So many questions, so many concerns and worries... He wondered... And worried... And cried a bit...*
Sprout: alright then! It's settled, I'll go in first! *he opened the door and shut it closed quickly as he walked over to Poppy, which made him get this unease for once... An unease of a sense of danger? Why? She was Poppy? The sweetest and Bubblist of the toons...? He shook it off and went to her. He wasted no time and touched shoulder quickly which garnered a bad reaction... As she turned quickly and her hand inches from his throat as she lowered it down... That was one aggressive and fast defensive reaction... She clearly had been through stuff as she sighed and spoke* Poppy: sorry sprout didn't mean to scare you or do that just... Don't do that please...? *as she turned away from and looked at the wall with her look pensive and full of pain and thoughts... mourning?*
Sprout: ... Poppy... What happened to you... We were worried sick... Well I was and so were our friends! *as she grabbed moved the blanket off her seeing all her Scars, Wounds, gashes, cuts, stabs, bite marks and Bruises... And the arrows that were still on here... And Ichor marks of smudges on them too... Where had she been...*
Sprout: I- Poppy! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU….! i- what did this to you... Who did this to you! *he was hurt seeing one of his friends like this...* Who would've done this to you Poppy... Why...? I- *she hissed*
Poppy: don't ask questions SProut... I don't wanna talk about it... Just patch me up real quick... I heard what you guys said... Guess most of you don't care huh? *her tone was truly different too... No longer the sweet innocent Bubbly tone but a hard... Sharp tone serious, tired and angry but also hurt, sad and wiser?* I know who my friends are and most certainly not all of you are. *as she turned back and stared at her wall and resumed her thinking...* But please don't go okay, not soon at least... Please sprout... *tugging on his hand to hold...* just leave once you're done though... *as sprout was confused but held her hand a bit as he bandaged her arm up... Oh was she sure carrying a large gash... Whatever did this to her, was tough and strong... As he did he started talking*
Sprout: Poppy... You know you can tell me right? I just wanna make sure you're okay... Or know what happened at least... I- I worry you know for all of you guys... And i'm sorry i wasn't there to help you when you needed... Forgive me? *she just stared cold into her wall before responding* Poppy: honestly better you weren't there i wouldn't have beared losing a close friend like you too... Or making you suffer what I did... *her tone sounded more mature but still in her serious tone was a shaky, hurt voice...* Honestly you wouldn't have deserved it since they all love ya... *she sniffled and teared up a bit…* and thanks sprout for patching my arm up... I really appreciate it... *as she looked back at her walls and went back to staring at it...*
sprout heart ache... Her words sounded so different no longer the same Bubble he knew like he used to... She was hurt and best ways to leave her to rest for today... But not alone... She clearly wanted some company... He sighed and finished up leaving up the bed but pausing when Poppy gripped her hand onto his tightening her grip hard before letting go...* Poppy: sorry... I just... Please go... *Sprout sighed leaving a cupcake for her he had prepared if she was hurt... And he felt she needed it mostly now... As he left closing the door behind him looking at the other toons*
Sprout: best we don't bother her... Or push her limits... She almost chopped my head in 1 hand swing just because I touched her shoulder... Rodger was and is right... Best we leave her be for her and our safety... But don't leave her alone tomorrow i'll talk with her okay? And dandy could you let pebble enter her room? Maybe that'll help... She sure didn't want me to leave for a bit... *looking at Dandy as he nodded the idea didn't sound appealing to him but right now... His friend needed comfort and help... So he let it pebble down onto the floor...as he looked at dandy and ran into Poppy's room*
Dandy: be careful boy okay? I don't think I'd be able to go thinking She hurt you or something alright? *as he entered her room Dandy looked at the hour it was 11:01am: Welp guys! Best we go to sleep! Alright! We'll all discuss this tomorrow! Okay! Not bothering or touching Poppy! Alright guys! Or I'll tell staff! *As they all sighed, some bickered mostly Shrimpo as usual and the friends closer to Poppy went in with their worries and concerns... Especially looey, Boxten and Gigi... along with Sprout, cosmo mostly saddened by her state and the Craft siblings Scraps and Goob... they were worried and saddened for Poppy some more concerned then others and some blamed themselves for not being there for her... And Sprout wasn't glad with Shrimpo's or Vee comments considering Poppy heard them so he had some words saved for them early in the morning if they thought of even touching her right now... Or insulting her. Meanwhile in Poppy's room she saw pebble walk in and whimpering and seeing him instantly reminded her of her own lost pets and rodger... Especially Rodger... Oh how her heart ached again with pain as she got up and opened her arms for him as he walked and pounced onto them... As she hugged him tightly she was crying so much it helped and hurt a lot at once* Poppy: Oh how i missed you pebbles! And how I missed touching a little cute fella such as yourself... Oh my sweet baby... A cute littl...e... Fella such as yourself ey...? Come here and don't go, I'll protect ya and my... Our friend will protect us in the night... *as pebble looked and saw just a light but he recognized it before cuddling up the Poppy* I- i won't let go... Not again... *as she held onto him not letting go and Pebble didn't hesitate to warm up to her as she sniffled and cried... As she reminisced of Her Wolf rodger... Her Skeleton wolf pair Wilo and Tilo... Her Sculk raptor duo... Radio and Striker... Oh and Fisher... And it hit her again Hard Skull... And his words... His long companion and friendship with her... Oh how much it hurt...* Oh hard shell how- how- how... I wish I treated you better on your last day...! *she cried herself silently as pebble cuddled her as she smiled calming down* how i wish... I had said better things to you... And hugged you my buff... Undead friend... *as she felt a peace that light once more, that presence that gave her peace and calm... As she saw him again before saying* Sleep and rest my child... For your heart is burdened... You know they are still here. I am here and you're never alone... Poppy... *this made her shed tears as she smiled before saying* forgive me my friends... Forgive me my 1 true friend... *as she fell asleep hearing the words* I forgive your sins... *before peacefully falling asleep... Not having a single nightmare either* and Pebble treat her well. *as they both peacefully slept and rested with no torment or nightmare to bother them tonight...*
The midnight dream check! 3:41 am at midnight
it was midnight and astro had checked everyone else dreams up... Before heading to Poppy's room where he saw pebble but when he tried to enter he couldn't not her dream? It was obscured? As if when he tried it denied access to him... He wondered why? This hadn't ever happened before unless the person was having no dreams at all or a really bad nightmare so he tried peering in... and saw only a glimpse that he was allowed to see a peaceful dream where he saw her playing with something?a Zombie like before not being able to see more. He was gonna try to intervene but something told him she was at peace and was having a good dream, that he shouldn't bother interfering with her dream as he went by... But he also noticed something, a looming shadow there that stared down at her dream. As it starred it was angry a lot of it, and hate much of it grown larger than ever... But as well as pain, grief and sadness they all wanted to enter her dream but couldn't, as they were burned by whatever didn;t let him in just observing hatefully at her dream. Not seeing what was inside but knowing it was good and peaceful, and showing clear detestment to it... Astro watched as he was perturbed he hadn't seen them this big before or some of them before at all... Especially the hate and pain one. those were of much higher than he was used to seeing as he walked past them avoiding interaction with them... But this told him one thing whatever she went through was something they hadn't experienced before... And he looked away thinking of one thing he would do his best to comfort her in the day... As he went and overlooked their dreams back on his moon area knowing one thing, he had to be careful if he was allowed to check on Poppy's dream anytime soon. By whoever put that shield or covering over her dream that not even he or they could touch or cross without being denied access or for them burned.*
April 8th 7:41 am in the morning everyone had gotten up... Oh this was gonna be a hectic morning...*
everyone had gotten up as everyone got ready for their new day... As Sprout got up cooking breakfast for everyone along with Cosmo! Scraps and Goob also got up. Everyone was going about their day sitting down for the morning before Poppy got out minutes later as Pebbles walked out meanwhile everyone focused on their new day! Eating and chatting meanwhile Astro had gotten up early today... Meanwhile Poppy went back in looking at herself looking at her clothes*
Poppy: oh... Maybe I do need a new bow at least... Maybe in a bit... *she waited and went out after thinking about it for a bit she thought as pebble nudged her and she starred smiling and sighing* alright... *she walked out and went toward the kitchen as the other toons saw and noticed her and paused remembering what had happened yesterday...! She went in and sat down for breakfast*
Poppy: what's for... Breakfast Sprout... *She sounded mature? And less energetic and tired... Very tired...* Well Sprout? And thanks for the Cupcake I really appreciated... *smiling warmly before staring at pebble* haha feed him too you know please...? *looking at Sprout he and cosmo smiled and nodded as they cooked her up some sugary food and her favorite drink! Putting some scrambled eggs and her POP Soda on her table she smiled warmly and ate up before thanking them and thanking a friend? Someone they didn;t recognize and eating well... Devouring it and appreciating... She looked like she hadn't had a home cooked meal in weeks or days... Even! As she ate up and drank her soda quick* Poppy: ahhh! Refreshing... And thanks guys and especially thanks to my friend above... *as she hugged them looking up* it hadn't had a home meal in Days... oh how much I missed your guys cooking! *smiling before sitting down* and a good Soda... refreshing and sweet... *cosmo smiled*
Cosmo: well Poppy we figured we cook you up your favorite dish considering you just returned and... What do you mean by days? How long did you think you were gone for?
Sprout: yea? And we also wanted you to feel comfortable and to make up for yesterday! We always love cheering our friends up Poppy... *smiling at Poppy*
Poppy: yea... I really am grateful... Anf wish you had been there but at the same time... Best you didn't... *her tone serious again* So... what happened? Did the staff search for me or what...? *she sighed* I'ma guess no with that silence... Did you guys bother? I- sorry... Still angry... About some stuff... And thanks Cosmo and Sprout... For breakfast! *smiling at them before sitting down elsewhere thinking smiling down and sighing*
Meanwhile, the other toons didn't know how and what to respond with... She was right... Mostly if not everyone didn;t search for her nore the staff notice her disappearing at all for a whole day. Only Rodger, Toodles, Pebbles and Astro had bothered, including Sprout when he was free to do so with cosmo a bit and looey too when he could... Connie could've searched more but she didn't which made her scoff... They all thought... Meanwhile vee was up and about looking around... And she noticed her Poppy seeing her now first hand clearer she saw how battered, scarred and cut up she was and that large gash on her arms and bite mark didn't help... She looked like she came out of a place of war and harsh living she went up seeing no one was around she sat next to her*
Vee: Poppy... It seems you're down and Hello and Good morning! How were you feeling today... *acting her usual self* You're sure rather scarred Poppy may i ask or know what happened for you to get Bites of those degrees? If that's okay? I- *poppy hugged her*
Poppy:Thanks Vee for not trying to insult me... And I heard what you said. *she sniffled and sighed* Kinda rude you know... ? but I forgive ya... I know you just like playing strong and high in front of others...
Vee starred looking slightly ashamed* Vee: I must admit I was rude and unkind of me to say that. And what could you possibly be talking about?
Poppy Starred at the ground sorrowfully before looking up at her* Poppy: I suffered... Vee if you wanna know... I saw things... And felt pain I didn't think I could... I lost friends Vee... so just don't go to you know...? Get yourself in trouble... *as she walked away*
vee paused seeing and scanning the scars and bite marks... And the results were alarming... Arrows around 4ft long and 2ft wide could do that amount of scarring and damage... And only a tyrannosaur or Yutyrannus COuld do the type of bite damage on something judging by diameter and thickness of the bite mark... And the shape and position of the teeth... And wolves could only do those other bite marks... On her legs and claws only something above 50ft could leave that kind of scarring... Where had she been... And how had she even survived...*
Vee: forgive me Poppy... For not responding quicker... Sorry... *as she got up and walked to the kitchen where she was met with glares by some who weren't so happy about her choice of words last night... At 10:57 am as she was ready to move forward Scraps got up to confront her*
Scraps: Vee...! I'm still angry about yesterday... It was low and cold even for you... *vee stared annoyed now* well? Cold computer, what do you have to say? What big show host? with easy answers? care for no one got to say!
vee fed up yelled* Vee: Perhaps you call me that but i Searched the camera feed to see if I could find info of that night that could help locate or find her! Did you hijack and check the CCTV Security systems we have? No? You didn't Scrap's. So do not come to me with your Self righteous talk. because as your results show you didn't care either. *Before walking away angrily and Scraps was silent she didn't know how to respond because she was right they didn't make an effort to find her... When they need to... She didn't make an effort to find her at all... When she needed them the most... What kind of friend, no toon was she...? She teared up as Goob went up to comfort her sister*
Goob: Scraps! *hugging her* don't listen to her words... We were busy that day... Maybe we could've looked more but we were busy... *smiling concerned for her sister...*
Scraps: Yea... we were but we still could've done something more than just sit around and not do anything not even notify staff or try finding her... I- I just think I'll go eat or draw more... *walking off as Goob frowned*
Goob: Sis... *He was saddened at the reaction of his sister.* Vee…! *he sighed she wasn't wrong either which stung as well* awe... Maybe they just need a hug...?
meanwhile Poppy just starred but unlike her usual reactions she just starred solemnly and saddened*
Poppy: Oh Vee and Scraps... *she sighed and drank her soda* Not worth arguing over for... *she starred her clothes were still dirty and now within the morning light, it was clearly isible Poppy had gone through a lot, Scars, Cuts, Closed wounds, Bite marks over her arms, shoulder, legs and back, bruises over them too, and it was clear she hadn't had a shower either* Oh yea... I should probably clean myself... Maybe this isn't so wearable anymore... *she got up and walked away waving away* Later guys! Thanks for the return welcome breakfast Sprout and cosmo and nice effort Boxten! *as she turned and walked*
The other toons just starred they kinda just talked amongst each other*
Brightney: Maybe I Should talk to them? Or Dandy? *the others just starred* Perhaps I should just follow and Talk... *as she got up and followed behind them*
Toodles: Rodger... Why is everyone angry and fighting lately...? *she looked up at him*
Rodger: Everyone is just stressed and conflicted... Let's just hope things calm down okay? Best we don't go near Poppy and ask too many questions right now okay?
Toodles: Okay... *she sniffled a bit*
as they did Vee went toward her room and sat down to calm down, Scraps went to slightly distract herself drawing out her frustration and Poppy was looking for a place to shower or clean all the gunk and dirt off especially the blood, meanwhile Brightney was deciding on who to talk to first*
Poppy: hm... Sure this won't be a problem... I'ma shower... Huh I should get my clothes before I do, maybe just wash them... As I shower yea... *she turned back and walked by as she did Shrimpo was also walking by* Hey Shrimpo... *He didn't respond just with a glare*
meanwhile Vee just contemplated how different things would be*
Vee: Perhaps I went too low and far in my wording towards Scraps. But I stated the truth nonetheless. *she sighed* Maybe a small chat wouldn't hurt to repair things considering Scraps nature *as she got up and got ready to go talk with her as she sighed and closed the door* let's go.
meanwhile Scraps just silently cried as she drew herself, Poppy, Brightney and Flutter with goob and toodles there too... There old little friend group ups while she laid in her bed in the room she and Goob shared* Scraps: Vee's right... I am a bad friend... Poppy needed help... And I didn't bother searching... *she teared up ready to cry as she began sobbing silently into her bed pillow* I should've done better... *as she sobbed Poppy had gotten her clothes and was walking back till Shrimpo in his usual anger passed by her and glared at her and spoke*
Shrimpo: I hate how you look cooler with your fancy scars and how everyones been more afraid of ya now. I hate how you're getting unnecessary attention for disappearing for 1 day.
this would've not bothered her as much but oh was Poppy No longer as patient sometimes*
Poppy: wow thanks shrimpo! Glad to hear your common response. How about you stop talking so much hate. *as she walked past him. But Shrimpo didn't like her response and decided to push as usual*
Shrimpo: I hate when you act better because you're hurt. I hate how you think your whatever adventure makes you important. Whatever it was, I hate it. And don't care! *this pissed off Poppy furthermore*
Poppy: Ohh... Is that so? *chuckling* How about you please quiet your mouth Shrimpo? *as she sighed in anger* alrighty?
but Shrimpo decided to push it again one bit too far for her temper*
Shrimpo: I don't care what you went through. I hate whatever friends you made wherever you went! And I hate that you think We care! *as he shoved her but this did not garner a good response she snapped at him and grabbed his wrist*
Poppy: Repeat that? *starting coldly with a broken stare and a tone shaky and full of anger and pain* Well shrimpo? *as she gripped harder beginning to twist his arm and wrist* Tell me Shrimpo!
Shrimpo was caught off guard and in pain*
Shrimpo: OW! Let go! You Bubble! Aghh! I said I hate whatever friends you made! Wherever you went! Because I don't care Poppy! *as she stared at him face to face, a maniacal expression in her eyes*
Poppy: OH! Oh. Okay! Then I don't care about you. *as she began twisting his wrist* Hm.. Maybe I could leave ya with a hook instead? Or one handed? *as she began crushing his hand with her grip* well Shrimpo?
Shrimpo began tearing up, she was literally ready to break his wrist till she stopped*
Poppy: That was a warning Shrimpo... *as she loosened her grip letting his wrist relax* I'm sorry if I pushed it just don't talk about that okay...? *she teared up a bit as she turned ready to walk to the bathroom* Huh? *Shrimpo had grabbed and punched her in the face which hurt as she growled* Agh! What the! *he growled in anger*
Shrimpo: I hate being Outdone! And I hope your f- *Poppy angered back*
Poppy: Hope my what hm!? *staring hatefully and defensively at him*
Shrimpo: I hate you even have fr-
she snapped and punched him down to the ground breaking teeth and spilling ichor out of him as she in a fit of rage and defensive pain began beating him repeatedly*
Poppy:YOU WRETCH! *she was punching hard enough to cause some ruckus and noise as Shrimpo panicked now fearing for his life as she didn't hear his pleas to stop* DIE! YOU WRETCH *as Vee and others hearing the commotion came in finn saw and seeing his childhood buddy and pal Shrimpo being beat to near death and a pool of ichor runs in to stop poppy or tries*
Finn: POPPY! Noo! WHAT ARE YOU DOING STOP DOING THAT! *Grabbing her arm trying to pull her away from him but in her moment of rage and defensive pain she snapped at him turning and smacking him aside in her anger breaking his glass* AAHHH! THAT HUrt *he cried in pain*
Astro seeing this jumped in using his magic to try and pull her away seeing that Shrimpo was near punches to death*
Astro: Poppy No! Calm down Calm down...! *as she was ready to lash out in anger... She paused for a bit slightly calming, before Shrimpo decided to open his mouth again*
Shrimpo: Pleas... Help... I hate feeling my jaw broken... It hurts... *she paused for a bit remembering the Warden YOU MONSTER which only worsened her reaction*
Poppy: I- didn't mean too... I- No! I R- AHHHH! *as scraps heard this commotion she saw what was going on and Sprout and cosmo rushed in too with Brightney seeing the mess that had been made and a violence never seen by them before in-person... As Scraps Gasped seeing Finn's and Shrimpo's state*
Scraps: OH- *Covering her mouth in disbelief of what she saw... The ichor and the violent state Poppy had entered* Shrimpo! *rushing to help Shrimpo seeing he needed help* What happened!
Sprout also rushed in*
Sprout: What happened! POPPY WHAT DID YOU DO! *rushing in to help Shrimpo as Cosmo went to help Finn* WHAT HAPPENED!
Cosmo unnerved by this amount of Ichor was also anxious*
Cosmo: What could've garnered this kind of response... This level of savage violence...?
looking at Poppy Who's hands were covered in the ichor of Shrimpo and glass shard of Finn's glass bowl head* Poppy what did you do...
Gigi Rushing in to help Finn up along with Brightney* Gigi: Finn! I- WHat happened! Oh my! *as she also looked at Poppy, her own friend...* Poppy why... *meanwhile Brightney tried to reasonably think her words through but at the time and moment couldn't say them*
Brightney: Poppy... Why would you do this?
Goob, Shelly, Rodger, Toodles, Pebbles, teagan and Dandy also saw and weren't giving her good looks as astro starred he had heard or overheard Shrimpo's pushing and already knew that Shrimpo was bound to get himself into a bad situation just not this bad...*
Astro: I think it's best guys... If we slowly back away... *as they did Poppy looked disappointed* Let her calm down guys... *Poppy glared at them as Scraps spoke in her current emotional state*
Scraps: You monster... *as she walked away*
I- didn't mean too he- AGH!*
Poppy: what...? I didn't mean too... He I- that...
