The time when Max and Lisa took their own vacation in Summer 2004 finally arrived and the place they went to for it was New York. After flying from Spring Falls Airport and landing at the John F. Kennedy International Airport, they caught a New York cab that drove them to the hotel that they booked to stay at for their ten day vacation.
The hotel Max and Lisa stayed at was a small, three-star one, but it was still lovely and they liked it and they especially liked the room they had. They liked the double bed they slept in every night, they liked the big TV and they enjoyed watching a lot of movies and TV shows on it, they liked the room's bathroom and they liked the large balcony outside it where they had an amazing view of Central Park. They also enjoyed going to the hotel's restaurant where they had delicious breakfasts every morning and they enjoyed going to the fitness center where they had a lot of good workouts and to the swimming pool where they did a lot of swimming.
Max and Lisa enjoyed exploring the city of New York. They enjoyed the day when they went to the Empire State Building and had a tour of the tall and amazing building. They enjoyed the day when they boarded a ferry that took them to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island and had a tour of both. They enjoyed seeing Times Square every time they passed it and they enjoyed the day when they went to the Brooklyn Bridge and walked on it.
Max and Lisa enjoyed visiting a lot of New York's museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History and the Museum of Modern Art among them. These amazing museums not only taught them a lot but they also reminded them of the museums and other places they and their Spoonerville High School classmates went to on those exciting school field trips.
Max and Lisa enjoyed the day when they went to Central Park. They rented bikes and rode around the whole park to explore it and see all its amazing attractions, they had a delicious lunch at one of the park's best cafes and they went to Central Park Zoo and saw all the amazing animals there.
Max and Lisa enjoyed the day when they went to Coney Island. They had a lot of fun going on the exciting rides, seeing the amazing live shows, checking out the incredible New York Aquarium and then relaxing on Brighton Beach for the rest of the day.
Max and Lisa went to see two Broadway shows. On one night, they went to see the hilarious adult puppet musical comedy Avenue Q and on another night they went to see the fantasy musical Wicked. They enjoyed both shows and they thought both were amazing and entertaining in their own ways and neither of them could understand the huge debate between the shows. And seeing both shows reminded them when they used to act in high school and in college and made them wonder what if they should have tried to pursue acting as a professional career instead of the jobs they already had, even though they were very happy with the jobs they had and the life they had.
Max and Lisa ate at many of New York's best cafes and restaurants for their lunches and dinners and they really enjoyed everything they ate. And they did shopping. Lots and lots and lots of shopping.
But the very best thing about the vacation for them was when they were in their hotel room, got naked, got into their bed and made out with each other.
During their New York vacation, Lisa even met some of Max's friends from Spoonerville College. Well, actually, they were his college ex-girlfriends. They met Lola on the day they went to Coney Island. They bumped into Sasha on the day when they explored Central Park. They bumped into Charlotte when they looked around inside the American Museum of Natural History. And they bumped into Annie on the night when they went to see Wicked.
Max was very worried about Lisa meeting his ex-girlfriends from Spoonerville College when she did and when they all told her about all the amazing dates he took them on when they were at college and how they all explained to her what a great boyfriend he was to them and all the fun they had with him, but he didn't need to be because Lisa was actually cool about it. In fact, she didn't blame them for their feelings about Max while they were at Spoonerville College because he was truly an amazing guy.
On the last night of their vacation, Max, wearing his smart dark blue shirt, smart black pants and brown shoes, and Lisa, wearing her purple dress and purple shoes, went to one of New York's very best restaurants, The Glowing Flower, for their final meal of the vacation and to celebrate their good times in New York. For starters, Max had garlic bread and Lisa had spinach and onion soup. For main courses, Max had a roast chicken dinner with roasted potatoes while Lisa had lobster with fries. For desserts, Max had some red velvet cake with berries while Lisa had an ice cream sundae. As they ate their delicious food, they talked about their New York vacation and all the brilliant experiences they had.
After they paid the bill, Lisa grabbed her bag and stood up from her chair.
"Where are you going, Lisa?" Max asked, who was still sitting on his chair.
"Back to the hotel, Max," Lisa replied. "We ate our meal and we paid the bill. What else is there to do here?"
"Well, I have something I need to ask you and right now. But before I ask you, I want you to take your time to think before you answer and be honest, even if you're ready. Whatever your answer will be, I will understand and respect."
"Ready for what?"
The only answer Max gave Lisa was when he got down onto his knees and showed her a brown ring box, which made her gasp. Then she gasped more when he opened it. She had never seen a more beautiful engagement ring in her entire life.
"Lisa, will you make me the happiest guy in the entire world and marry me?" Max asked.
"Yes!" Lisa squealed happily and immediately. Then she hugged and kissed him and everyone in the restaurant, both customers and staff members, cheered and applauded them.
Then Max and Lisa happily went back to their hotel room for their final night in it and continued to celebrate their engagement by making out with each other.
