9. Party Plans.
16-Year old Chloe Baily, most popular girl in school and head cheerleader, sat outside at a table in the fensed baseball field area on Gotham City High campus, flipping through one of her books resting on the table, not even noticing 17-year old Trevor UBanks and 18-year old Jack Abbotson sneak up on her from behind. She had blond hair that went past her shoulders and stopped at her upper-back, her eyes were blue and she wore pink lipstick, with her yellow messenger-bag also resting on the table. School had ended, so everyone was going home for the rest of the day to celebrate Halloween.
Trevor had black hair and brown eyes and had on a black one-strap backpack.
And
Jack also had black hair and brown eyes and had on a gray backpack.
"Boo!" Trevor said as he covered Chloe's eyes with his hands, followed by removing them afterwards. Trevor was the star quarterback of the football team while Jack was captain of the basket-ball team.
Chloe turned to see Trevor and Jack.
"Hahaha!" Trevor laughed.
"Jerk-o!" Chloe said as Trevor and Jack moved from behind her while she hit Trevor in the right arm. "Hi, Jack."
"Hey, how's it goin'?" Jack said.
"Fine." Chloe said.
"So, did you get out of having to take your little brat sister Trick-or-Treating?" Trevor asked as he sat down at the table.
"No, i didn't, sad to say." Chloe answered.
"Oh, come on, Chloe, what the world? I don't wanna go to this Halloween party all by myself. I'm gonna be the only guy there without a girl." Trevor said.
"Oh, quit whining, Trevor." Chloe said.
"Well, guys, i think i'm gonna take off, so...i'll see you guys later." Jack said.
"Alright, man." Trevor said.
"See ya, Jack." Chloe said.
"Bye-bye." Jack said as he and Trevor high-fived each other, followed by him leaving.
"Don't worry about it." Chloe assured, smiling as Trevor sat beside her on the left. "I've got it all worked out."
"You do, huh?" Trevor said.
"Yes, i do. You know that new girl at school, Lacey?" Chloe said.
"The girl from Jersey City? What about her?" Trevor asked.
"Well, she told me that she's gonna be Trick-or-Treating with the Dailys' son tonight." Chloe said.
"So?" Trevor asked.
"So...they'll be out Trick-or-Treating in the suburbs on the Chicago side of Gotham where i live." Chloe said while smiling.
"I know." Chloe said. "Hehehe." She giggled. "So...seems how i'm her new "best friend" and all...she's going to do me a favor."
"Which is?" Trevor asked.
"She's gonna take my sister Trick-or-Treating and look after both her and the Daily kid at her place." Chloe answered. Lacey had taken a liking to Chloe on her first day of school here at Gotham High and the two of them had been besties ever since. Or at least that was what Chloe had led her to believe.
"Really? Does she know about it?" Trevor asked.
"No." Chloe said.
"I see. And what happens if your parents find out?" Trevor said.
"Well, my parents will be out attending a dinner party until midnight. The party will be over by 11:30. So...after the party...we'll swing by Lacey's place, pick my sister up...and that will be that." Chloe explained, with a smile.
"And that will be that." Trevor said, also smiling. "You know...your new best friend, Lacey, and her parents moved into the old Wayne Manor."
"I'm well aware." Chloe said.
"My Dad sold them that place. I would not live there. No flipin' way, i would not live there." Trevor said. His father was a real-estate agent and was the one who had sold Wayne Manor to the Stone family when they'd moved here.
"Hahahaha!" Chloe laughed.
"It's crazy." Trevor said.
"You are such a big scardy-cat." Chloe said.
"I'm just saying, no way." Trevor said before he and Chloe kissed, followed by her grinning at him for a moment. "Let's get out of here."
"Sounds good." Said Chloe while gathering her books and messenger-bag as Trevor stood up.
"It's creepin' me out." Trevor said before Chloe stood up, holding her books with her left hand and her messenger-bag with her right hand.
"Hehehehehe." Chloe giggled before she and Trevor walked off together.
