Prologue:- Training and Growth.

Summary:

What if Kurama was always looking out for and waiting for his chance to escape from Naruto more actively? What if, on the night when Mizuki had betrayed the village, Naruto had allowed a bit of Kurama's chakra to flow through him in his anger at finding out the truth? What if Kurama had used this chance to try a break free by dragging him into the seal with this given opportunity to try and trick Naruto into releasing him? What if, after having succeeded, when he was on the verge of being released, some mysterious force of the universe had instead placed new soul into the body after Naruto had been lost and caused the seal to return to normal instead? The original Naruto would be dead, but 'Naruto' would still be alive, just with someone different on the inside. How would things likely progress from there on out? What would this new soul do in his new body, in this new world, and with his new power? Read on to find out.

Author's notes:

Okay so first of all, this is a new story that I am going to be writing from now on. It is not purely a lemon story like the other one, but instead will be about the Naruto cannon storyline with some differences. This is one of four stories that I have planned out for Naruto that I intend to write out, this one being the first of the four. I have drafts planned out for each story and will get to writing them all out one at a time.

So for this story, I wanted to make it into an isekai, simply because I like the isekai genre. I also wanted to see how well I can do writing a story under this genre. Naturally, this means that it will not be that same Naruto from cannon who will be the MC character for this story but a different person from another world inside Naruto's body. I know many of you don't actually like this type of story setting, so I am not expecting many views and reviews and followers and favourites and whatnot, but that's fine with me. Like I said in my other story, I am simply doing this for the fun of it and because I want to test my own writing skills.

Whether you like this story or not, you can feel free to say so in the reviews section or post your flames if you want to and what not. This is solely for my own enjoyment, and I intend to do just that, enjoy myself in my writing. As for the storyline, well I won't give out any spoilers. I will try my best to explain things properly as I go along with the story, or maybe afterwards in the end notes, as long as I don't spoil future chapters.

As I said before, this is the first of four stories that I have planned. Only two of the four are isekai genre: the first and the forth. The second and third stories are normal stories that will use the normal Naruto from the cannon story Naruto series. Each of them will be different in progress but will have some similar elements implemented in them in each story. I did my best to make sure that I didn't repeat this in terms of character development and abilities, as well as story progression too. Each of them are different, and only have some aspects that would be similar. I will not say which. You will naturally figure it out once the stories themselves are out and you read them.

Also, the parings for each story are already set. I will not be changing them. This story will be Naruto with Hinata and Ino, but it won't happen all at once. That is all I am saying on the matter. Read more to find out.

Now then, without further ado. Enjoy the chapter!

"Hello" – normal people talking

'Good morning' – normal people thinking

"Good evening" – normal people whispering

'lovely afternoon huh?' - thoughts of the past

"GOOD NIGHT!" – normal people shouting

"Good day" – tailed beast/summon creature talking

'A pleasant day to you' – tailed beast/ summon creature thinking.

"GO AND DIE!" – tailed beast/summon creature shouting.

*Get lost* - special effects or sounds

""My name is CarnageDragon0927"" – multiple people talking simultaneously.

Rasengan – jutsu names

I will add any others if I come across them or remember them later on and end up using them in my story. Also, I am not very good with Japanese, you know, being the whole 'from an English speaking country' and all that. My main and only language is English. I do know a bit, but only the amount that anyone could learn from watching anime. With that said, I am not going to be using the Japanese translations for jutsus. I know that they sound cooler, but trying to get them translated and making sure that the translations are correct is way too much of a hassle, so I will stick to using the English names for them only. I will also not be using the Japanese names for the one I know while using the English names for the ones I don't or made up myself, everything will stay as one usage method. I will not interchange them.

Also, I may end up using the honorifics that are normally used, like 'kun' and 'san' and such. Those are a lot more easy to use, so I will most likely keep them as is in my story. Hinata will definitely be calling him 'Naruto-kun' after all, and later 'Naru-kun' when they get closer, so yeah, I will keep those. Now then, one with the chapter. ENJOY!

Chapter 1: Reincarnation, and starting a new life.

The Hidden Leaf Village. Home to many a ninja and civilian alike. Publicly recognised as the strongest of the five great ninja villages on the elemental nations, it prides itself on the fact that they have a working system that treats both ninja and civilian equally. Everyone has their own freedom of speech in the village and no one is mistreated in anyway.

Well, for the most part, at least. There was one person who would have something to say about that little titbit. You see, there was a certain someone who lived in the village who has received very little of that 'equal treatment' the village so prides itself on for as long as he can remember. It has been like that all his life, and that fact remains even now.

Naruto Uzumaki, trainee ninja and hokage hopeful. He was a young, 12 year old boy with spiky blonde hair, and three whisker marks on each cheek on his face. He always wore a bright orange jump suit and pants that made him easily stand out in a crowd and easily recognisable as well. He was quite the hyperactive knucklehead, and he loved to pull pranks on the villagers; both ninja and civilian alike.

It was his way of bringing attention to himself and getting acknowledgement from others, even if it was negative in nature. He usually found himself in a lot of trouble because of it, but he was fine with it, since at least people would be paying attention to him because of it. It made the great loneliness he felt within a lot more bearable like that.

However, everyone had a limit to how much they could take, and very soon, that limit would be greatly tested for young Naruto, as he was very soon about to find out. No one knew what would happen to him, and what changes would come about from said limit being pushed to the brink that would cause a normally very passive person to finally lose himself in hate. The consequences might just not be something that people can withstand.

Night.

In a forest on the outskirts of one side of the village. A commotion had been caused by something in the village, and a lot of ninja were hurriedly running around looking for something. While this was happening, in said forest, a blur of orange suddenly shot past, running away crazily in a random direction, a huge scroll in its grasp.

Naruto was quite frantic and frightened at the moment. He had just learned the truth about why the people of the village hated him so much and treated him the way they did. Apparently, it was because he had the nine-tailed fox sealed inside of him since the day he was born. The nine-tailed fox responsible for attacking the village on the same day he was born and killing a lot of ninjas and civilians alike. It seemed that the fourth hokage had not actually killed the beast, but instead, he had sealed it inside of him.

The reason he was running in the forest in the first place was because he was trying to escape from the person currently out to kill him. Mizuki, who was their former teacher, had gone rogue and betrayed the village. He had tricked Naruto into stealing the forbidden scroll that he was currently carrying on him. Mizuki told him that it was a secret test that he had to pass in order to graduate from the ninja academy and pass the exam that he had previously failed earlier this morning, and Naruto, being the trusting person that he was, did not suspect his teacher and did as he was told.

After using his stealth skills that he had trained in his pranking adventures, he had to knock the hokage out using his personally developed sexy jutsu in order to escape. He had gone to the place where Mizuki had told him to meet up with him and then got started on learning a jutsu from the scroll. He only had time to learn the shadow clone jutsu and the details of it before Iruka, his other teacher, had shown up.

Not long after, Mizuki had shown up as well, and that was when Naruto had learned that he had been tricked. Mizuki was not telling him of a way that he could pass the exam and trying to help him. No, he had just wanted to acquire the scroll for himself in his escape from the village to use as a means of being accepted by others. He was planning to had it over to either Iwagakure; the hidden stone village, or maybe to Orochimaru; the leaf village's greatest current traitor, to secure his own survival and safety.

However, Iruka had spoiled his plans, and had given Naruto a chance to escape while he stayed behind to hold Mizuki back. And that was how Naruto now found himself running through the forest.

Naruto was confused and lost. He had no idea what to think about anything. Reason was telling him not to trust that traitor Mizuki's words, that anything he said could not be thrusted. And yet, he knew deep down that it was the truth. It all made sense. He had always wondered why people treated him like they did for no apparent reason. For as long as he could remember, people had always avoided him and looked at him with cold eyes.

Sure, he pulled pranks on the villagers from time to time, but that was most definitely not the reason. The only reason he started pulling pranks on people was because they all ignored him in the first place. He only wanted to be acknowledge, so he pranked others. People had treated him like that long before he had started to pulls his pranks.

If he added the fact that the demon fox was sealed inside of him, then it would all make sense now. All the stares, all the hatred that he could see in the adults. The reason why they told their children not to interact with him. The reason they pushed him away. The reason they refused to sell him anything in their stores, or sold him expired goods for sky high prices. It all made sense now. It was because they all only ever saw the demon fox whenever they looked at him.

Naruto had no idea what to think, but he did know one thing. He was not the fox. It would not make any sense that he was. If he was the fox, there was no way in hell he would let himself be treated like he had been. There was no way he would have passively taken all the crap from the villagers like he had been doing. Even if he had lost his memories because of the sealing, it was in the fox's nature to be violent and destructive. He would have been highly aggressive and violent himself, always getting into fights and attacking others, if he was the actual fox himself.

So he knew that he was not the actual fox. He knew that it was actually sealed inside himself. That weird pattern on his stomach that always showed up when he used chakra was probably the seal where the fox was. He had no idea if that was true as he did not know a single thing about seals and fuinjutsu, but even for him, it was not hard to figure out.

It was precisely because of the fact that Naruto was able to figure this out, that he became somewhat resentful to the villagers of this village. Naruto knew that he was not the smartest person out there, mostly because he himself was not very fond of studying, and also because there was no one to teach him about things anyway. So he knew that he was not very smart and had no problem admitting that.

However, if even he could figure this out after just hearing about it, then why were the adults who were supposed to be smart not able to figure this out as well? Couldn't they see that he was just another boy who was simply desperate for attention and not some evil superpowered fox that wanted to kill them all? How could they not understand this? This was what Naruto was thinking to himself, as he finally stopped to catch his breath after running for quite some time.

"Hump. It's not that they don't understand it, but that they don't want to understand it, you fool. Humans are all the same. Traitorous and deceitful. Untrusting and easily swayed all the same by the many, despite not knowing or understanding the truth of the matter. They always try to add reason to things they don't understand, and when they can't put reason to things like that, they label it as a monster to be feared and hated. Most disgusting of all, they always place blame and anger on things that aren't connected with them when things don't go the way they want it to in order to feel better about themselves. Typical of humans." a deep, mysterious voice suddenly said in his head.

"!?" Naruto was shocked and looked around in a panic, looking for the owner of that weird voice. He saw no one around him and wondered if he was just hearing things. He had not noticed it, but when he had felt that bit of resentment build up in him at the villagers for not understanding something that he could, he had inadvertently tapped a bit into the fox's chakra that was trapped inside of him.

However, this was not of his own doing. The fox had been patiently waiting for a chance to get free from its confines. It had been waiting for a time when Naruto would feel anger and resentment at his situation and treatment. It had originally thought that said chance would not come anytime soon, as the boy was hopelessly optimistic and simple-minded. Despite everything that he had gone through, he had not shown even the slightest bit of anger at the people of this accursed village what-so-ever.

He had only shown a bit a sadness, but even that was only temporary. He had then made up his mind to be more determined to do better and get stronger to gain their acknowledgement. He had not hated them at all. The fox always thought that he was a fool and was annoyed at his way of thinking, since it meant that he would have to wait even longer before he was finally free.

He did not expect such a chance to come by so quickly. He did not know if he should thank the foolish humans for giving him such a chance so soon. When Naruto had felt a bit of resentment at the villagers for treating him that way, the fox had instantly picked up on it and had raced to push its chakra through the seal and make it flow through the boy's body. Naruto, having never interacted with the chakra of the fox before, did not notice it flowing through him, and subconsciously connected himself with it without even knowing.

That is what gave the fox this chance. The chance to talk with his host. From there, he would make the boy feel even more anger and resentment by putting certain thoughts in his head. The fox knew exactly what it was going to do to make the boy go over the edge and succumb to pure rage.

So while Naruto was looking around in confusion and doubting whether or not he had hearing problems at the moment, the fox said again, "In here, you brat."

Naruto was shocked at hearing the voice again, realising that he was not hearing things, but that there really was a mysterious voice talking to him in his head. Before he even had the chance to look around at his surroundings and call out to whoever was talking to him, he suddenly felt his surroundings turn and the world around him spin. He felt dizzy and closed his eyes for a bit.

When he opened then, he found himself in a sewer-like place. There was water on the ground, but it was not dirty. There were also canals and pipes running through the place. The chamber was very big, and everything was running in deeper into the place that he was, wherever it was.

"What the!? Where the hell am I!? And where is this place!? How the hell did I get here!? I was just in the forest! What the hell is going on!? And what was that weird voice I heard!? I know I was not hearing things! I heard it twice! Dammit, who the hell are you and what do you want!? Show yourself! Where did you take me!? Answer me, dattebayo!" Naruto was completely panicking at the strange series of events that were playing out and ranted off one question after another.

"Come over here, human!" the strange voice said. Naruto turned to where the voice came from. It was echoing from down the path in the chamber. It was evidently calling him to follow the path to where it led at the end. He would probably get his answers there.

gulp*. "Well, nothing to it, I guess. Here goes," Naruto said, psyching himself up in the process. He then began to walk down the walkway.

He walk for quite a while, before he eventually came out into an open area. It was a huge hall, with a giant cage in the middle. He could not see anything behind the cage, as it was pitch black inside and there was no lighting in there to help with visibility. He wondered what was happening and where the source of that strange voice was.

He was about to open his mouth to call out again, when his voice got caught in his throat. That was because he suddenly saw movement inside the cage. Something opened. It was huge, much bigger than him. Then, another one opened, and he realised that he was looking at a pair of huge, red, slitted eyes.

The owner of those eyes was lying down, but slowly stood up after opening their eyes to look at him. He felt paralysed by those eyes staring at him, as if they were looking into his soul and seeing everything that was to be seen about him. It was suffocating.

As the 'thing' stood up in the cage, lights inside gradually lit up as well, revealing the form of a massive fox with orange fur and finally, nine long tails swinging behind its back. Seeing that, Naruto finally got an idea of what this thing really was. He gulped a bit again as he inadvertently took a step back in fright. However, he caught himself after and bravely took a step forward as he said, "So you're the nine-tailed fox that everyone hates so much. You really have been inside of me this whole time. What do you think you're doing living in my body like you own the place? Get out right now! And pay up! You owe me rent dammit!" He started ranting at the fox.

"Shut up, you insufferable brat. Do you think I want to be in here? Trapped inside the body of a weak, pathetic child and unable to do anything? If I could leave, I would have long since left. I'm not the one who wanted to be here," the fox said loudly in anger, its voice echoing throughout the halls. It was livid that a mere human would actually dare to talk to it in such a way.

"You shut up! It's cuz of you that my life has been nothing but miserable this whole time. If you hadn't attacked the village back then, maybe I would still have a family who loves me and would not be alone."

"Hmph. You think I care about your puny self and your pathetic life? What does it matter to me how you have lived and the things you lost? I could kill you with just a simple sneeze if I wanted to outside. Why do you think I would care about anything about you, weak human? Enough of that nonsense. That's not why I brought you here. I have something to tell you."

"Hmph. What makes you think I would listen to anything you have to say? You're a monster. A being made of evil and hatred. Anything that comes out of your mouth would probably be all lies anyway. I am not listening to anything you have to say."

"Oh really? Even though I was going to tell you a truth about yourself that you have so desperately wanted to know for so long? Do you really not want to know?" the fox said with a mocking smirk on its face. It clearly knew what it was about to do.

Naruto grew suspicious after hearing the fox's words. Something that he desperately wanted to know about for a long time now? What was that? He could think of many things that he wanted to know about, and some of them he had already gotten the answer to by meeting the fox now. What else could the fox know about that he didn't?

Nine-tails saw the curious expression on his face and inwardly smirked. 'Got him,' he thought to himself.

"It's simple really. I was merely going to tell you about your parents and why I was sealed inside of you, as well as the truth about the people who you so consider to be your current family, that old man hokage that you so think is actually someone close to you, but it seems like you're not interested, so never mind then," he said directly, as he pretended to go back to lying down and closing his eyes. He did not keep Naruto in suspense. He wanted to get this over with already, so he want straight to the point, but he knew he had to play this out right, so he also was not being impatient. He already knew he had Naruto with those words just now.

"Wa-Wait, WHAT!? MY PARENTS!? Hold on a sec! How could you possibly know about them!? You're clearly lying!" Naruto said, shouting at the top of his lungs. He was now more frantic than ever.

His parents? But how? How could the fox know about his parents? It couldn't be, right? He had to be lying. There was simply no way the fox could know who his parents were.

Nine-tails once again smirked and looked over at Naruto. He was getting worked up. The fox new that he had him. Just a little more. He just had to push him a bit over the edge, and then everything would be fine from there. He would finally be free after being trapped for so long. He could finally get his revenge on this cursed village for sealing him away in someone else for such a long time.

"Calm down brat. Think about it. Why do you think I attacked back then in the first place? I am sure that none of you even really know the reason for it. However, that reason is not important. What is important, is that I am very much aware of who your parents are. You want to know how I know about that? Simple. It's because before I was sealed inside of you on the day you were born, I was sealed inside your mother. That's right. Your mother was my former jinchuriki, and that is why I know who they are.

For a woman, the seal placed on the tailed beast sealed inside of them grows weaker during pregnancy. Because she was going to give birth to you soon, the seal that was placed on me to keep me in check was weakened and allowed me a chance to escape. When a jinchuriki looses their tailed beast, the strain from that kills the host. After I was removed from her body, it was only natural that she would die.

After that, the fourth hokage had no other choice but to seal me away again, for we tailed beasts cannot be killed. We are literally beings made of pure chakra given physical form. We cannot be killed. We will only temporarily dissipate into the surroundings and will reform in just a few years. Also, only a person can be used as a vessel for the sealing and not an object, as there are no objects strong enough to withstand the sealing of me, the strongest of all the tailed beasts. My power is simply to great.

As for why you were chosen? That's simple. Why wouldn't the hokage choose to sacrifice the life of his own son for the sake of the village? That's right, you brat. You heard me right. Minato Namikaze, the fourth hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village. The so called greatest hero of the leaf, and your biggest hero as well. The one responsible for putting me in you. The one responsible for your miserable life up until now, where no one wants anything to do with you or be friends with you. That fourth hokage is your own father. Your true name should be Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze.

Uzumaki is your clan name. A clan that died long ago. You're probably the last remaining member of said clan. You were never told any of this before, were you? Of course you weren't. Well I am telling you now. Hahahahahahahaha!"

"..." Naruto was in shock. He had no idea what to say to that. He wanted to say that the fox was lying. He wanted to not believe anything that he was saying. He wanted to think that it was all wrong. But he knew. Deep down, he knew the fox was telling the truth. He had no idea how he knew that, he just did. Somehow, he could hear it in the fox's voice that everything he said was true. There might have been some parts that were intentionally left out, but nothing said was false.

'It can't be. This can't be real. There is no way that this is true. It can't. It can't it can't it can't. No! No no no no no no no no no no no. Why? Why me? Why why why?' Naruto was in hysteria. His mind was breaking down from the truth he had learned. His father was the fourth hokage and the one responsible for his life up until now. His own father had doomed him to a life of solitude from the start. So then, what was even the point of any of this anyway? Why was he even trying to live his life for others? Why was he actually trying to become the very thing that had condemned him? Was there even a point?

The fox – Kurama – saw the despair on Naruto's face and knew that he almost had him. It would only be just a bit now and he would finally be free. Normally, it would not be this easy. Things would not have gone so smoothly if Naruto was in his right mind. If he had told Naruto this when he was calm and in proper control of himself, then telling him this would not have had this effect. Naruto might have even grown excited to learn that he was the son of his greatest hero.

That was why Kurama had chosen his timing properly. He knew that he had to be careful. Naruto was just too optimistic and forgiving a person. He had not a single mean bone in his body. He might just brush it off completely and say something stupid like 'so what if my dad was the one to seal you in me? I'm sure there was a good reason for it. And besides, if sealing you in me meant that I would be able to not let anyone else experience what I have to go through, then I would happily take up this burden. So shut it fox! You can't trick me!' or some other ridiculous thing like that.

However, because he was already in shock and doubt from what had happened that night, Kurama decided that it was the perfect time to enact his plan to free himself. It seems like he was right. Naruto was quite shaken by his words. Now, all he had to do was put on the finishing touches and everything would finally be over.

"I can see it on your face that you don't want to believe me. However, you know that everything that I said is true. Your mother's name was Kushina Uzumaki. You should easily be able to find out if a person ever lived in the village by that name, so there is no point lying to you about it. As for the fourth being your father, come on now, you should be able to see the resemblance you have with him. Remove those whisker marks on your face you got from me and you're practically a younger clone of the guy. I would know. I have seen his face more times than I care count after all. Being sealed inside your mother will naturally cause that.

Also, lets not forget about the other thing I mentioned before. Do you really thing that the third hokage, that old man, really cares about you? You might thing that he does, but has he really been helping you and treating you like a grandfather would? Think about it. He is the hokage for crying out loud. There is no way that he would not know about you being the son of the forth hokage. It's just not possible.

Yet how many times have you asked him about your parents? And what was his answer every time? He always just brushed you off, saying that they were simply normal ninja who died on that day. How could the hokage and his wife possibly be normal ninja? Then no one else would be exceptional.

Plus, look at how you have been living this whole time. He never told you about your parents or your burden that you carry; that being me, but yet, every adult in this village clearly knows about me and has been treating you the way they have. He never did anything about any of it. He only ever told you that they were just confused and that things would get better eventually, but did they ever? No. Instead, he then told you that you should work hard and get stronger to make them realise that you are not a danger to them.

Don't you get it? He was using you. You are this village's jinchuriki. It would be an absolute disaster if you ever left the village for some place else. He only ever wanted for you to remain loyal to this village. He simply wanted to use your power for the sake of this village. He wanted to use your power as it was always meant to be. It is the same reason why your own father sealed me inside of you. The simple fact of the matter is Naruto: YOU ARE A WEAPON FOR THE VILLAGE AND NOTHING MORE!

No one cares about you. No one loves you. Everything has always been just a show, a gimmick. It was all just an act to make you feel like they cared. If he really did care, then he would have done more. He is the hokage after all. The fucking leader of this village. His word is law. What he says is what goes. If he had truly cared about you, then he would have actually made an effort to make sure that you were properly taken cared of instead of mistreated. That you were properly fed with proper food instead of rotten goods that were majorly overpriced. That you were properly clothed instead of wearing such atrocious clothing that makes you stand out like the sun at high noon. That you were properly taught in the academy instead of being sabotaged and handicapped.

If he really cared, he would have looked into all of these things and made sure that you were properly taken care of like you should have been as the son of this villages so called 'greatest hero'. But has he done any of those things for you Naruto? What has he done for you? He knows that you want to become a great ninja, yet did he ever do anything to help in that regard? Did he ever try to teach you himself? Did he ever even give you a little advice? Did he even ask about the things that you wanted to know or did not know about and needed to get better at? Did he even try to get someone willing to teach you a bit extra to aid you in your endeavours to grow? Well? Did he? Of course he didn't. Because he doesn't care!" Kurama went on with such a lengthy explanation of things.

He was really going at it hard. He tried hitting all of the spots that he knew would hurt Naruto most more and more. He struck at all of his weak spots and made him fall deeper and deeper into his doubt and despair. He watched on as Naruto grew more and more pale with every word that left his mouth, as he savoured every bit of fear and betrayal that appeared on the boy's face.

Naruto had fallen to his knees by this point. Tears were running down his face uncontrollably as he took in everything that the fox was saying. No matter how hard he tried to deny it, no matter how hard he tried to rationalise things, he knew. He knew that what was being said was the truth. He had experienced everything for himself. He had seen it all. And he knew the fox was right. Everything it had said was right.

The third hokage had really not done anything for him. He had not tried to help him despite knowing about his pain. He had only ever provided comfort for him with empty words, but had never physically done anything to ever stop things from happening. He had never told Naruto about his parents or his burden. Maybe it was supposed to be some kind of secret that was not supposed to get out. But then, if that was the case, why did all the adults know about it? They clearly did. So why was he the only one who did not know? Especially when he was at the center of it all.

Naruto knew that the teachers at the academy did not like him and intentionally tried to mess up his results so that he would fail. If even he could know that, then how could the hokage not know? It was simple to find out about what was happening in the academy. The other things as well. The overpricing for rotten goods. The clothes that he was forced to wear because he could not get anything else – granted he did not mind that point so much as he actually liked these clothes and never really bothered to think deeper about them – the neglect. The lack of teachings despite knowing what he wanted to do. All the words of care, but lack of action to follow up on those words. Naruto saw them all at this point. After having them be called out to him, he saw them all clearly.

He understood. He realised. He knew. And for the very first time in his life, Naruto felt true hatred. He felt the truest, purest hatred he had ever felt before for someone else. He was angry. Angry at everyone for treating him like he was a monster when he was just a lonely boy looking for a friend. He was angry at the village that prided itself on respecting others and treating everyone equally yet still making his life miserable. He was angry at his parents for damning him to such a life. He was angry at the hokage for lying to him and betraying his trust.

But most importantly of all, he was angry at himself, for letting things develop to this point and not realising things sooner. He was angry that he was not smarter. He was angry that he was so dumb to not notice things sooner. He was angry that he had actually went along with things to this point while being completely clueless about the truth. He was angry that he let himself be manipulated to such an extent. He was angry at his own weakness to change things for the better. He was angry that he did not even have the strength to get his revenge on anyone if he wanted to. He was angry.

Angry.

Angry! Angry! Angry! Angry!

Angry! Angry! Angry! Angry! ANGRY! ANGRY!

ANGRYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

HE WAS FUCKING PISSED OFF!

"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" A deep roar of fury suddenly echoed out from within the forest.

*BOOOOOOM*

An explosion of power occurred. Red chakra exploded forth from his body in a wild frenzy. It frantically spread everywhere, destroying everything in the vicinity. Trees were uprooted and the ground was crushed. Stones were thrown about randomly several miles away. The air was choppy and sliced through everything in its way as it carved a path of destruction. Luckily, or unluckily depending on who you asked, the forbidden scroll that Naruto was carrying got caught up in the wind and was simply but safely blown away towards the direction of the village, but that was hardly a concern at the moment.

The second Naruto's chakra exploded forth from his body, a preventative barrier that had been put in place to prevent chakra leakage from the forest to interfere with the village was instantly activated, making it impossible for anyone to sense what was happening inside the forest. It was a good thing too, as the chakra was so rich and powerful and filled with malice and evil intent that even the civilians and children would have been able to feel it if it was allowed to run wild. Naruto's anger was so deep that he had broken past every single layer of the seal and unleashed all the power in one go before the fourth hokage's protective measures had any chance to take effect and prevent a disaster from occurring. He had directly blown away the seal in his rage, fully channelling the nine-tailed fox's chakra to unleash complete and utter devastation to everything.

There were still two people inside the forest however, and so, they were not protected by the barrier. They were given a front row seat and made to sense in full the great might of that chakra. They both felt it. Both Iruka and Mizuki, as well as any animals that were in the surrounding area at the time and inside the barrier's confines, felt that immense, evil chakra wash over them. They were immediately immobilised by the immense pressure bearing down on them. They could not move a muscle. They were slammed down onto the ground face first and were forced to remain there as power exploded out of Naruto's body. They were forced to feel all of it in full.

The raw power. The raw emotion. The pure hatred. The pure anger. The overwhelming evil intent. The wickedness. The malice. The corruption. The fear. The despair. It all washed over them both in a split second and pressed down on them. Naruto's anger was adding to the fox's power and making it even stronger than it already was. It was pressing down on them, like a massive weight crushing them down into the ground.

At that very moment, in his office, Hiruzen was recovering from his knock out lesson from Naruto when his ANBU suddenly burst into the room.

"Lord hokage, it's urgent! A barrier suddenly went up and was activated at full strength in the forest on the outskirts of the village. There is also a ridiculously huge amount of chakra being released inside there as well, and judging from the amount and the strength of it, we have reason to believe that it is the chakra of the nine-tails."

"WHAT!?" Hiruzen jumped up from his seat after he heard that from the ANBU. "What do you mean the chakra from the nine-tails. What the hell is going on!?" he demanded.

"We have no clue, my lord. I came here to inform you of this as soon as we recognised that it was the beasts chakra. It was far to large an amount to be normal. We believe that something most have happened to the host and he might be in danger at the moment. We have already sent over some of our members to check to see what has happened."

"Oh no! What the hell happened!?" Hiruzen was fearful. What had happened? What was going on? Everything was fine just a little while ago. He had just met Naruto not too long ago even, and was promptly knocked out by the boy and his... perverted... ingenious... jutsu. He was clearly doing just fine, so what the hell had happened in such a short span of time?

He new that Naruto had taken the forbidden scroll, but he was not worried about that. The boy probably just wanted to learn a jutsu from it or something. He was not worried that he would try to escape from the village and turn traitor. It just was not who he was. He did wonder about how he came to learn about it though. Either way, he could let it slide if he did manage to learn something from it, though he hoped that it was nothing to dangerous. That scroll had some pretty nasty jutsu in it after all. But now, it was clear that something had happened to Naruto.

Despite everything, Hiruzen really did care for Naruto as his own grandson. However, his hands were tied with a lot of things. He simply could not do as much for the boy as he would have liked. He truly hope that Naruto would be able to endure and last long enough to overcome all that he experienced. He hoped for that more than anything else, and so, he did not want to see anything happen to him.

He quickly got up and gathered most of his remaining ANBU while leaving some behind to look after any matter that may crop up in his absence and headed to the forest where the ANBU said the chakra signature was coming from. He had to see to this personally. If something was happening to Naruto, then he would try his best to save him. But he knew deep down, that if it was too late, then he only had one option. For as much as he loved Naruto, he also loved the village. And as the hokage, he had to protect them from all danger and harm, even if it was from him.

The village was completely calm thanks to the barrier preventing them from sensing anything. Hiruzen was thankful for that at least, as things would have really been out of hand if this matter got out to the public. He hurried over to the forest so that he could check on things while hoping that he was not to late. He and his ANBU finally reached the forest where everything was going down, meeting up with the ones who had left first beforehand, and they prepared themselves, before they entered the barrier blocking off everything that was happening inside from the outside. The ANBU entered first, followed by the hokage.

As soon as they entered, they all felt it. The fear and pressure that they had felt on that fateful night. The immense power and overwhelming hatred and evil intent was the same as back then. They recognised this feeling very clearly. It was the same as what they had felt on that night twelve years ago. It was still so very clear in there minds it might as well have happened yesterday. However, they could also feel the malice in the air, and it made them afraid. A lot of them could not handle the pressure and were forced to crumble onto the ground despite their training.

Hiruzen saw the situation and realised that things were really bad. He could feel the immense chakra washing over him, and it was hard for even him to withstand it. He dismissed some of his ANBU ninja to remain at the edge of the barrier and stand guard in case the worst happened. The ones who stayed behind were the ones who could not stand up to the pressure. He did not want any of his ninja getting hurt unnecessarily. He had a lot of questions to ask, and he was going to get his answers soon. He felt a headache coming on as well, as he had a feeling that this was going to create a lot of work for him, assuming they all survived tonight. For now however, his main focus was on finding out what was going on with Naruto and try to prevent things from getting any worse.

It was too late however. From the place where Naruto was, there was suddenly another explosion of power as a large chakra construct appeared. It was fully made of pure chakra, but it clearly had the vague image of a massive fox. It was gradually getting clearer and clearer, showing that the fox was on the verge of getting free.

Inside of Naruto, Kurama was laughing his head off. It had worked, even better than he had hoped. The accumulated pain and suffering that Naruto had endured all his life had completely back fired. It all came back now in a massive surge of pure, unadulterated negative emotions that only served to further boost his own power. He saw the seal desperately trying to fix itself, he could even see the vague image of the fourth hokage trying hard to form up and return things back to normal, but it was all pointless. Nothing could be done about it now.

Naruto had kept his true feeling and emotions bolted up inside him for too long. All his pain, his sorrows, his loneliness, he had kept it in and buried it deep down in his heart. He suppressed it and hid everything under a mask, smiling all the time to make it look like he was fine, but in truth, he was not fine. He was just trying his best to endure while hoping for things to one day get better. That had backfired on him now. Because of the words of Kurama, all those bottled up emotions had now come exploding forth to the surface in a violent tempest of pure rage, and this event was the result of that.

Kurama had really pushed Naruto to the brink. The kid had completely given in and let everything go all at once completely. He had used the massive surge of power to directly shatter the confines of the seal and let the fox free, and now, it was an inevitability. His soul was already dissipating. Once he had completely dissipated, the fox would be free to rampage and kill everyone who had hurt him and betrayed him, while he himself would be dead. Everything was over. He didn't even care about anything else anymore.

Vaguely, he remembered the only people who were ever really, truly nice to him. The ramen stand owner and his daughter, who was like a big sister to him. However, it did not matter at this point. Plus, despite everything, the Ichirakus were food store owners. It was their choice to be nice to him and serve him, but that was technically their job. They were not being particularly good to him. They had never been nice to him outside of the shop, mostly because they had never even met him outside of the shop.

'Of course we never met outside the shop. They never even made the effort to come see me ever. It was only me going to see them. They probably just thought of me as another customer and nothing more. I was probably the only one who thought that our relationship meant something more. But to them, I was probably just another form of income, and since I ate there so often, I was a great source of income. Haha. I was truly a fool. In the end, no one really does actually care about me for being just me. There was always something behind their smiles. The fox was right. I am all alone.

Well, that's fine. This way, everything can end now. Let it all burn to ash. Let the fox have his way with them. I don't care anymore even if I die. Everything will be over now. I wish you all to suffer a painful death, consumed in the deepest, darkest flames of hell. Good bye and good riddance to you all,' was Naruto's last though, before he closed his eyes and let himself fade away.

He was now dead. Naruto Uzumaki had fully passed away. His soul completely dissipating into the void and moving on to wherever dead souls go to in the afterlife. Kurama was ecstatic. After all this time. After all these years. After all of his patience waiting for a chance to make a move, his freedom was finally at hand. He knew exactly what he was going to do. He was going to make the people of this village pay for sealing him away. He was going to kill them all. But he was not going to fool around.

If there was one thing he had learned about humans, it was that they were very resourceful. They could always find a way to overcome despair and turn things around. He would not give them that chance. He would kill them all quickly. He did not care about torturing them at all. He did not want to waste time. He just wanted to finish this quickly and then find some place where he could live and relax in peace. That would be for the best for now. He would think about other things later.

His freedom had practically been guaranteed. He could still see the image of the fourth trying hard to manifest itself in the seal to try and somehow fix things, but he was not worried. The seal needed a soul to be the base for it to be placed. While Naruto's body had yet to be destroyed, his soul was long gone. It was only a matter of time for everything to occur. Nothing could change it now. Nothing short of another soul being placed inside this body at least. However, he knew that chances of that happening was practically zero. Where would they even find a soul willing to occupy this body anyway? And even if they did, transferring another soul into a different body was no easy feat, and could not be easily done. It would definitely take quite a long time to pull off even if they succeeded, time they did not have. So he was not worried.

The hidden leaf village was now faced with what was probably the greatest calamity it had ever faced in its history. That was because there was no one strong enough to face this disaster left. The third was way too old and could not face such an enemy. He was not even strong enough to seal it away. Plus, there were no suitable vessels to seal it in even if he was strong enough. The beast could only ever be sealed in an Uzumaki. That was one of the reasons why Naruto was chosen. He was the only one capable of handling the nine-tails, as only the Uzumaki bloodline could deal with the strain of sealing the nine-tails' immense power inside them. Anyone else would die.

Terror and malice spread throughout the forest protected by the barrier as the image of the nine-tailed demon fox got more and more clear to them. Very soon, he would have completely escaped from the seal, and then, their destruction would begin. Everyone had prepared themselves for such an outcome. Hiruzen realised that he could not stop it, they were already too late. The ANBU also realised that things were not looking good.

Iruka and Mizuki who were closest to the scene were paralysed with fear. They were once again face to face with this monster. And because they were so close, they felt it all in the fullest. They got a first hand experience of what the fox was really capable of. They felt in full, the immense gap between then and just how powerless they were to change things. They felt in full, the overwhelming power that the fox possessed.

It was at this moment that Mizuki began to regret his decision. He never should have done this. It was his fault that things had progressed to this stage. He had no idea how things had come to this, but somehow, he had a feeling that revealing to Naruto that he was the fox in such circumstances was, in hindsight, probably not the best idea. Now, the fox was free and would kill them all. 'Maybe I should have thought this out more clearly before doing anything,' he thought to himself.

However, it was too late for regrets now. Things had already progressed to this stage. He could only hope that he would find a chance to escape. However, with the pressure bearing down on him like it was, making him unable to even move a muscle, he knew that chances of that happening was very slim. He was really starting to regret his actions right now.

All of the ANBU who were heading to the scene couldn't help but pale in fear under their masks at the sight of the nine-tails slowly becoming corporeal. They new that once it had fully become corporeal and stabilised its form, then the hidden leaf would most likely see its end tonight. The barrier might be able to hold off its aura for now, but that would not last forever. There was simply no way for any of them to win against such a powerful being. Maybe they might have had a chance if Jiraiya was in the village, but unfortunately, he currently was not. So there was no way for them to seal the beast. Defeating it was obviously out of the question.

Hiruzen looked at the nine-tails slowly becoming more and more corporeal in form, realised that it was too late to do anything right now. That most likely meant that Naruto was already dead if the beast was getting free, and very soon, they would all follow in his footsteps.

'Is this my punishment for not being able to help him more? For not being able to make life a bit more easy for Naruto-kun? Oh Naruto-kun, I am truly sorry for failing you. You did not deserve any of this. If only this old man was stronger, then maybe, just maybe, things would have been different. Alas, it's too late now. All we can do is try our best.' Hiruzen thought to himself.

He then turned to his fellow ANBU ninja and said, "Men, it would seem that the leaf is facing yet another disaster once again. And this time, things are looking very slim for our survival. However, this is not the end. Let us stand tall and fight. We will at least do our best to delay and keep the nine-tails busy. Everyone else, evacuate the village. Civilians and especially the children need to be taken somewhere safe from harm.

Though the leaf may fall tonight, it would most definitely not be a permanent one. We will surely rise again from the ashes, and rebuild our great village, returning it to its splendour once again. It may take a very long time. There will most definitely be hard trials ahead of you. However, you must always stand firm.

Never lose yourself. Never forget you resolve. Never lose your determination. Never let despair take over. Never give up. Always remember that you are proud citizens of the Hidden Leaf Village. Take that pride with you, and climb all the way back up from the bottom. Prove that we are truly the strongest of the five great villages, and are fully worthy of that title." After giving a short speech, he turned and got ready to face the nine-tails once again. The few ANBU who were left behind prepared to go and start evacuating the village, obeying their hokage's orders.

He had done this before, back when it had first been released from Kushina. He had used Enma to push it out of the village and reduce the destruction done to it. Now, he was going to do so again. As soon as nine-tails fully manifested itself, he was going to do everything he could to get it out of the village and try to buy as much time as he could for the villagers to escape. It was the best he could do now.

He summoned Enma to his side and he, along with all the ninja who would be fighting alongside him, readied themselves for their last fight. Kurama saw everything that was happening, but he did not pay it any mind. He was going to destroy this village, but he did not care if any weaklings escaped. He was simply going to rampage for a bit and then leave to find some place safe. Nothing else mattered to him. He also got himself ready to go wild for the first time in a while, waiting for the moment when he fully manifested in the real world.

It was just as the last part of the seal that was keeping him sealed away was about to break, suddenly, a tremor spread throughout the space. A ripple ran throughout the entire elemental nations, causing the very space itself to tremble. However, it was not very strong. Almost no one felt it. Not even the beings on the level of kage, or even the mighty tailed beasts themselves, with few exceptions.

Only those who possessed power on the level of Kurama himself, or special and unique abilities, were able to just barely feel it, but it was so minor that no one bothered to pay any attention to it. It was at the same level as a small fly passing by right in front of your face. Good enough to notice, but not enough to be bothered with.

That was not the case for one certain being however. He felt it far more clearly than anyone else. And that was because the ripple was centered around him. To be more specific, the cause of the ripple originated from Naruto's body. Kurama was curious about what had just happened and hurried to take a look at what was happening. He was about to be free after all. He did not want anything to ruin his chance.

What he saw however, made him frantic instantly. Somehow, the seal was beginning to repair itself. Everything was going back together. It was all going back into place as it was before. When Naruto had unleashed it earlier, it seems as though he had not actually destroyed it, but rather simply pushed it aside to go right through to reach the fox and allow its chakra to flood through the seal faster than it was able to keep it at bay.

Now however, something had happened, and was assisting the seal in pulling back in all of the chakra that had been released and bringing it back into the seal. The seal itself was being repaired at a rapid rate. He thought that it was the forth that had somehow managed to do something, but when he looked over, he saw that the image that was trying hard to form had not succeeded yet. In fact, it had stopped moving as well and was clearly looking around in confusion at everything that was happening. It was not very clear, hardly an image with form and extremely ethereal and incorporeal. It was obvious that it was not going to make it in time to help out with the situation, so the problem had to lay somewhere else.

Kurama frantically looked around while starting to throw out curses at nowhere in particular, demanding whoever was messing around and interfering to come out and show themselves. He was not about to let things end like this. Not when he was so close. If things continued the way they were, then he would be sealed once again. He already felt himself being pulled back into the seal and losing his almost fully corporeal form.

He exploded with rage and fought hard against the seal to get free, but it was no use. Whoever or whatever that had interfered clearly had the upper hand and knew what they were doing, and slowly but surely, Kurama found himself pulled all the way back into the seal, his form in the outside world gradually fading away and returning back into Naruto's body.

Hiruzen and all the others who were watching on and waiting for disaster to strike, and preparing themselves to fight their last fight, looked on in bewilderment as the nine-tailed fox slowly lost its form and faded away, gradually shrinking until it completely disappeared from view. They were all confused about what had just happened.

Were they safe? Was it over? Was that it? Where was nine-tails? Did he fail to escape the seal? But then, where had he gone to? Did he simply disappear? What was going on exactly? They were all completely lost, but for now, Hiruzen decided that the best thing to do was to find the source of all of this commotion. The ninja who were responsible for evacuating the village had stopped for the time being and were waiting to see what was going to happen. They would wait and see how things played out before deciding whether to continue with the evacuation or if things were okay now.

Over on Iruka and Mizuki's side, the two of them were still down for the count. They were far too close to where the fox had manifested and so, they had taken the full brunt of the pressure exuded by his immense might and chakra. They would not be moving any time soon.

Naruto's body was laying completely still on the ground a ways away from them. They had actually been following him before, trying to catch up to him. Well, Mizuki was trying to catch up to him, in order to take the scroll and escape. Iruka, on the other hand, was trying to keep Mizuki from reaching Naruto and trying to protect him. They had no idea why the nine-tails suddenly appeared.

Hiruzen and the others eventually appeared, and when he saw the two of them, he wondered what had happened and asked them to explain. When he heard what had happened, that Mizuki had actually tricked Naruto into stealing the forbidden scroll and was planning to escape the village, and had even told Naruto the truth about his burden, he was completely livid.

"ANBU, take this fool away to T immediately! I want him confined and given the harshest treatment we have for criminals and traitors! Give him over to Ibuki and let him handle this!" he ordered in a furry. Because of the foolish actions of one traitor, the village was almost completely destroyed and he might have just lost someone very dear to him. He was not going to let this fool get away easily.

"Yes, lord hokage!" A few ANBU members replied to him, before two of them moved over to knock out and take away Mizuki. Iruka was then helped up and they went over to get to Naruto and see if everything was alright with him. They were not very hopeful however, as the mere fact that the beast had come so close to escaping meant that something had most definitely happened with the seal. There was a very high chance that Naruto was no more, though they did not want to think about such a possibility.

They eventually found Naruto's body. He was laying head first on the ground in a massive crater, most likely created from the insane release of power earlier. They quickly ran over to him, before Hiruzen gently flipped him over and felt for a pulse. It was weak, but it was also constant. It showed that while very, very weak, Naruto was at least still alive. Hiruzen was happy for this fact and quickly took him up in his arms.

"He's still alive. Quickly, we have to get him to the hospital. Inform the doctors at once, he needs to be seen immediately!" he ordered.

"Sir!" was the response, before the ninja around him took off in the direction of the hospital.

Iruka came up to him and asked, "Lord hokage, how is he?"

"He still has a pulse, but it's very weak. At the moment at least, it seems to be constant, but I'm not sure how long that will last. We need to get him to the hospital at once."

"But sir, is everything okay with the village? With the commotion just now, I doubt that anyone would want anything to do with Naruto. In fact, his secret is most likely out completely now, and life for him would probably be even harder than it was before now."

"Don't worry about that. There's a barrier around this forest that was activated when Naruto lost control and released that power. It perfectly prevented the chakra from overflowing and spreading into the village. No one else would have sensed anything. I only know about this because of the ninja responsible for monitoring the barriers around the village. So there is no need to worry on that front." Hiruzen reassured him.

Hearing about that, Iruka let out a sign of relief. That was good. At least this way, they did not have to worry about things getting harder for Naruto. At the very least, this meant that tonight's events would be kept under wraps. Hiruzen would be sure to let all of his ninja know that tonight's events were absolutely not to be spoken about to anyone at all under any circumstance what-so-ever.

They all gradually let the forest, before Hiruzen hurriedly left to get to the hospital as soon as he could. Iruka also went with him, as he was also injured from his fight with Mizuki, as well as from feeling the pressure of the nine-tails' chakra. Naruto was properly admitted into and taken care of by one of the doctors that Hiruzen knew he could trust did not have anything against Naruto for what he held. He hoped beyond hope that Naruto would be fine and live on.

Going back a few minutes, to a time a bit before Naruto unleashed the seal and allowed Kurama to be set free.

"Where... am... I...? What... is... happen... ing? I... don't... under... stand. The... last... thing... I... remember... is... dying. I... think... I... was... accidentally... caught... up... in... flames... or... something...? I... can't... remember... to... well. Well... whatever. It... just... means... that... I... am... dead... now. Is... this... what... it...feels... like... to... die...? It... feels... weird. I... can't... feel... anything. Or... see... anything. I... don't... know... where... I... am... or... where... I... am... going. Maybe... to... hell... or... heaven? I... can't... say... for...sure. I... hope... I... reach... there... soon. I... don't... like... this... feeling. Every... thing... is... fading. I... am... losing... con... scious... ness... ... ... ..."

A discarnate soul was floating around randomly in the void of space. It had no idea where it was or where it was going. It had no control of what was happening to it. It could only let things proceed as they were, completely unable to do anything and oblivious to what was happening or about to happen.

This person had just died back in his own world. His consciousness was floating around and getting ready to pass on, however, it was not meant to be. Suddenly, a split in the void opened up, and it found itself pulled through the space. Normally, something like this happening would be enough to tear a physical body apart, much less a soul. However, something mysterious and powerful was protecting this particular soul and preventing it from dissipating.

The soul was pulled through to the would of the elemental nations, right where things were going down with Naruto's now soulless body and Kurama. That was the cause of the ripple that had spread through the whole world. It was caused by another being entering this world from a foreign one. No one knew how or why this had happened, but it would be the spark that would create many changes and a new legend in the entire elemental nations. Something never before seen would now come to be simply because of this one happening, as the being who had just entered this world was no simple person. It was special, in quite a few ways.

A mysterious force had placed the soul into this now soulless body and directly and fully merged the two together. It had also been the one to return the seal back to its original state and pull Kurama back into he body. No one had any idea who or what was this mysterious force, and none would ever find out.

One thing was for sure though. Now, for all intents and purposes, this new soul would be the owner of this body. They would now become the new owner and take on the identity of Naruto Uzumaki. How would this affect things in the future? Only time would tell.

Back to the present time, inside the seal with Kurama.

"GGRRRRRRRR! Dammit dammit DAMMIT! I was so close to finally being free! What the hell happened? Why has everything gone back to normal? And why the hell can I sense a new soul in this body? Whoever this is, it's clearly not Naruto. Where did this soul come from, and who the hell put it in here? Whoever you are, mark my works, you better hope and pray that I never get my hands on you, or I will make your live a life filled with pain and suffering the likes of which you have never experienced before ever for the rest of your miserable life allowed by your lifespan. YOU WILL FEEL MY FURY!"

Kurama was pissed off beyond reason. He was trashing around in his cage and his chakra was wildly attacking everything inside it. It was all pointless however, as the seal made sure that nothing came of his actions. That did not stop him from venting however.

On the other hand, the chakra apparition that was trying to form up and regain control of everything had long stopped and disappeared since it was no longer needed. The seal was fine, which meant that there was no longer any problem or need to worry. It was not sure what had happened, but it would wait until it was needed again, or if Naruto had managed to call it forth, before trying to figure out what had happened.

After raging a while inside the cage, Kurama finally calmed down. There was no point in continuing to rage on about not getting his desired freedom. What had passed had passed. He just had to wait for another chance. He knew that things would be harder from here on however, as there was a different person in the body now and they might not be so easily fooled.

He would not give up however. He would do anything for his freedom, he just had to be patient and wait for his chance. Surely another opportunity would arise soon enough given some time. He just had to wait.

Back with Naruto.

After the ordeal had occurred, Hiruzen had taken Naruto to the hospital to be taken cared of. Despite everything that had happened, Naruto's body actually was not injured. It was only his soul that was collateral from the experience, but Hiruzen and the others had no way of knowing that. To them, it seemed like the fox was about to break free, before something had happened to prevent it from completing. Then he had been drawn back into the seal, and it had been put back into place.

Hiruzen was no sealmaster, but he was knowledgable in the area. He could tell at the very least that the seal was back to being how it was before and still contained the fox. That meant that somehow, the fox was pulled back into the seal at the last second and was not allowed to leave. He had no idea how it had happened or what this all meant, and could only wait until their more capable sealmaster came back to the village in order for them to check the seal and find out if everything was alright with it or not.

He still decided to leave Naruto with the hospital staff just to be safe, and warned them that they were to properly keep an eye on him. He knew that there were some in the hospital that did not like him and was not looking forward to anything more happening to him after what had happened that night. He was not looking forward to having to explain all of this to Naruto either.

He decided that he would deal with it when it finally came, worrying about it now would only make his head hurt even more. He then left to take care of matters.

Naruto – or rather, the new soul inhibiting Naruto's body now – opened his eyes, waking up from his sleep after several hours had passed.

"Mmmmmm. Ouch, my head. It's killing me. What the hell happened? Where am I and what the hell was I doing before this? Ouch ouch ouch," was his words, as the tried to shake off the grogginess he felt from waking up.

He tried to get up and take in his surroundings to try and figure out what had happened and regain his bearings, but he was not given the chance. Suddenly, his headache got significantly worse, as a whole bunch of unfamiliar information about many things he had no idea about suddenly flooded his mind. The sudden influx of info all at once put extreme strain on his brain, and it was only through shear willpower that he was able to just barely endure it.

It did leave him completely exhausted though, and when the pain finally settled down after the information flux ended, he collapsed back unto the bed. He breathe hard, as he tried to once again regain his bearings.

After a while, he was finally able to calm down. He once again tried to sit up and take in his surroundings, deciding for now to leave all of that strange information that he did not recognise anything about for later. He got up, then slowly looked around. He realised that he was in a hospital.

'Okay, hospital. Why am I here exactly? What happened yesterday? Or was it last night? Before I lost consciousness, what happened before I lost consciousness? I... can barely remember anything. Okay, first calm down. I need to thing back properly. Think back. I was... I was... mmmmmm... That's it. I was on my way back home from work like any other normal day, but then a car lost control and ended up crashing in front of me.

It was actually on course to hit me directly, but I was able to just barely move out of the way. Glad I have good reflexes. I was able to avoid death by crushing, but not even my reflexes could save me from what happened next. That's right. I remember now. Stupid car hit the wall in front of me and then decided to explode right after, engulfing me in the flames who was too close in proximity to escape. Couldn't the damn thing have waited for me to get clear first before exploding? Don't take me with you in your raging inferno of death dammit!' the soul complained to no one in particular. He was mad that he had been caught up in something that was not supposed to involve him in the slightest. It was just a matter of bad timing and being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

But then it hit him. The soul looked down at himself and examined his body. He did not feel any pain. He was sure that he had been engulfed in the flames from the explosion completely. That kind of thing should have completely incinerated his body. He should be dead without a doubt. But not only was he alive, here he was, completely unharmed, nary a scratch – or rather, a burn – on his body. He did not even feel any pain. He wondered if he was dead, but when he tried pinching himself, he definitely felt it, so he could not be dead. He was pretty sure that dead people could not feel pain.

That also ruled out the possibility of his being in a dream. He would have woken up after all. But everything had remained the same. He wondered what was even happening right now.

"Okay, this is all weird. What the hell happened while I was out? And what's with this hospital anyway? It looks nothing like the normal hospitals I have been in before. Is this some kind of super high-tech hospital with the latest and greatest installations of medical technology or something? But I doubt anyone in my family would have the money necessary to afford something like this. Just what is going on?

Come to think of it, now that I look closer, my hands look much better than before. It looks different, smoother. Thinner as well, as if suffering from malnutrition. But that makes no sense, I have always made sure to eat properly growing up. Granted, my family was not exactly rich or anything, but it was not like we were poor either. We're a moderately standard family finance wise, so I've always had enough to eat every day. There's no way I can be malnutritioned right now," he said, talking out loud to himself.

It was then that it hit him. The weird happenings, the strange information that suddenly hit him in the head despite never having studied and learning anything even remotely related to that stuff, the difference in his body, that weird floating feeling he had felt before after he was in the accident, his strange surroundings. It all painted a picture that he had a hard time believing but was starting to make more and more sense the more he thought about it.

He quickly got up, moving the covers off of him, before moving over to the mirror that he saw on the wall to the side. When he looked into it, his suspicions were immediately confirmed. What he saw was someone completely different reflected in the mirror, definitely not the appearance he was used to seeing before. It was quite clear that he was not in his same world and not the same person that he used to be.

He was very shocked. Reflected in the mirror was a short, blonde haired boy with three whisker marks on either side of his cheeks. His body was thin, but also somewhat developed as well, as if he did not eat properly to get sufficient nutrients for the body but still did strenuous body training despite that. It was completely unbalanced. He wondered what the hell this person had been doing before.

"Okay, calm down. Breathe. Deep breaths. In. Out. In. Out. *phew*. There has to be some kind of explanation for this. Why did this even happen? Either way, I have no idea why, but it's clear I'm no longer on earth. These weird memories in my head probably belonged to the former owner of this body. I wonder what happened to him? He probably died as well. So does that mean that I have somehow possessed his body?

But wait, his body is in perfect condition minus the malnutrition, so that means that it was probably just his soul that was destroyed. And somehow, my soul that was on the verge of death after I had died in my old world was transported from that world to this one and implanted into this body that had become soulless.

Is that even possible though? I can't imagine that a normal soul of a dead person that was on the verge of dissipating could possibly survive being transferred between entire worlds. Wouldn't that be quite a strain on it? I mean, forget something as fragile as a soul, even a whole body of a fully alive person has very little chance of surviving something like that in reality. This isn't some anime or light novel after all. But if that's the case, then how the hell am I here right now? Unless I'm mistaken? Or maybe something else happened that I' not aware of? Hmmmmm." he was quite confused by everything that he was currently experiencing.

"Well either way, I'm here now and I can't exactly change that unless I want to die. Seeing as I have no intention of taking my own life, that means that I am going to have to live like this from now on. Guess I should be glad that I even get to live at all. I was definitely done for after getting caught up in that explosion. Had no idea that I'd actually be isekaied though, but at least I get a second chance, so might as well make the most of it.

This is going to be weird though. I'm betting that I'm nothing like the person who was formerly inhibiting this body before. Won't people know instantly know that something is wrong? Hmmm. What do I do...?

... well for now, I think I should look through all of these memories and get familiar with the life he has lived up to this point, I guess. The fact that I have his memories means that he had not fully dissipated completely before I was put in this body and ended up absorbing a fragment of his soul, just enough to give me all of his memories." The soul was busy thinking to himself as he subconsciously put on the clothes that he believed was his own that were on the side of the bed, removing the hospital robe he had previously been wearing. They were a horrible bright orange colour that could make someone easy to spot even in the most crowded of areas, and they did not look very appealing in his eyes either. He would need to do something about that later.

However, he then stopped for a bit at that last thought of his. "Wait, is that even possible? What are the chances of me just so happening to absorb a fragment of his soul that just so happens to be the part that carries all of his memories, practically the most important thing for me to have in this kind of situation? That can't seriously just be a coincidence, can it? Seems a bit far-fetched. But then, if it wasn't a coincidence, then what was the cause? Could it be...?" he began to think, before he quickly shook his head to get rid of that particular thought of his.

It was just way to crazy to even think about, that there was actually someone who was in control of all of this and did it on purpose. He did not want to think about things that were so far away from him. Those were godly feats, and he did not want to bother wasting brain power trying to think about something like that.

He decided that he needed to get out of that place and find somewhere more secluded where he could take the time to think. Luckily, it seemed that the former owner of this body did not like hospitals very much and often escaped on his own when he got up, so it was fine if he continued that streak and left without telling anyone, as it would not be seen as weird behaviour but the norm instead.

He reluctantly got dressed in the orange catastrophe and quickly bolted from the room via the hospital. Using the memories that he had, he easily navigated from the room. It seemed that despite being malnutritioned, the body still had a good bit of strength and flexibility. Not nearly enough for his taste, but it would do for the time being.

He searched through his memories for a spot where he could be alone, hoping to find a good place, before just such a place came up. He quickly followed the memories to the place; the hokage monument. He wondered what a 'hokage' was, but figured that he would find out all of that soon enough.

When he finally got to the sight, he had to take a minute to simply take in the sight of the place and the amazing view it gave. He was somewhat prepared for it from the memories he had of the place, but actually seeing and experiencing it for himself was completely different.

"Whoa, this is a totally incredible view. Totally amazing. I have never seen a view this amazing, at least, not in person. Well, to be honest, it's not like I have been to many places myself, so that is probably the main reason for that though, but still, this is really incredible. I will have to agree with the former owner of this body, as this is definitely my new favourite spot, hehe," he thought to himself.

"Okay, time to get to studying these new memories of mine and see what I can learn about this place that I now need to call home," he said. And with that, he sat down cross-legged and folded his arms across his chest. He closed his eyes and focused on going through all of his new memories bit by bit, making sure to take it all in and not leave anything out.

For some reason, he could actually recall everything that had happened with extreme clarity, even his own memories from his own past life. They were all extremely clear to him, as if they had just happened a minute ago. He was confused by this, but figured it was just a perk he got for being transferred to a new body in a new world. Or maybe this body just naturally had a really good memory? He had no idea and was not going to think hard about it.

He sat there for a long time, several hours, as he carefully went through all of the memories that belonged to the original owner of this body and learned everything he had learned and experienced throughout his life. When he had finished, it was already starting to get dark out.

"... okay, so this world and the people in it are quite messed up it seems. I feel sorry for this guy, though he was a bit of an idiot himself. But still, he did not need to live the way that he had been forced to. The people of this world are really a bit naive and foolish. Honestly, this is kind of sad.

Anyway, let's see if I have everything correct. First off, this place is called the Hidden Leaf Village. It is one of the so-called 'Five Great Ninja Villages' of the 'Elemental Nations', that being the name of the continent we live on. No idea what the name of the planet is though. Anyway, name of the person whose body I now inhibit is called 'Naruto Uzumaki', and he was an orphan. He was kicked out of the orphanage at the age of five and was treated as an outcast by all of the villagers.

He was neglected and ignored by all of the adults for reasons he did not know about, and they all told their children to stay away from him as well. This caused him to not have any friends growing up and no one to take care of him or teach him anything that needed to be taught. He apparently greatly admired the 'forth hokage' – hokage being what the leader of Hidden Leaf Village is called – wait seriously? 'Fire Shadow'? As a leader of a village? Talk about lame – and is the one who rules and oversees everything that happens in it – and greatly desired to be hokage himself so that he would gain the recognition and acceptance of others.

Bad move kid. You don't become a leader to get recognised by others. It's because others recognise your greatness that you eventually get put into a leadership position. To bad he had no one to teach him that. And the one who should have instead filled his head with a bunch of bullshit. I don't think that 'third hokage' guy is very trustworthy. He seems like the manipulative type if you ask me. It's entirely possible that he was tricking Naruto in order for him to remain loyal to the village, though this is all just conjecture on my part, so I probably shouldn't jump to conclusions. I should talk to the guy some time soon. I have some questions for him.

Moving on, when Naruto joined the ninja academy, he thought that things would get better for him and that he would finally be able to make some friends. However, things never ever go that smoothly. Parents had apparently already warned their children about him and made sure that they would not approach him. Seems he was even bullied for a time.

It was then that he got into pranking others. He wanted to get paid attention to, even if that attention was negative, he figured that bad attention was still better than no attention. Geez, just how horrible are these people to force a child to go to such lengths just to be noticed? This kid is pretty strong though. That would break most normal kids and leave them dispirited, but he kept holding on and looking forward no matter. Gotta give it to him, he's got guts, if nothing else.

Things continued on that way. And it seems like he was able to make some friends along the way. Aside from the hokage who he thinks of as a grandfather-like figure, there was also the ramen shop owners, the Ichirakus; Teuchi and Ayame. They were the only shop owners who did not kick him out of the store and did not over charge him for food. They were nice to him. There were also some from his class as well. Shi...ka...ma...ru... Nara? And Cho... Chouji...? Aka...michi? Geez what is with these names? Sheesh. Seems like there was also a Kiba Inu... Inuzuka...? as well, though that seems to be more of a rivalry of some kind.

He seems to have a crush on Sakura Haruno. But she instead like Sasuke U..chi...ha? So they did not get alone very well with each other. Sasuke apparently hated everything and everyone and just wanted to be alone. His teachers in the academy refused to teach him and even some times kicked him out of the classes, so he ended up just skipping some times himself or not even bothering to show up, so his education is severely lacking. Gonna have to make up for that somehow.

Lastly, the proceedings that led to his death was the graduation exam that was meant to let him become a ninja, more specifically, a 'genin' as they call it. He had failed them twice before and if he failed this time, it would be game over for him. Unfortunately, as he had never been trained by anyone or given any advice on how to improve, he was never able to properly find out what his problems were and unable to maser or even perform the clone jutsu, so he was failed yet again.

It was while he was sulking alone on his swing that he was approached by a teacher who told him about some secret test that would allow him to pass if he managed to succeed. Naruto happily jumped at the chance. Come on dude, how gullible can you be to fall for such an obvious trap? It's clear even to me that he was lying.

Anyway, Naruto went through with it, sneaking into the hokage office using his training skills in pranking – which by the way, are actually quite good – to stealthy get in and grab the village's forbidden scroll. He was however, caught by the hokage, but in the heat of the moment, and with some quick thinking, he used his original jutsu, the sexy jutsu, to catch him... off... guard...

... seriously? He really knocked out the hokage, the literal leader of this village and strongest ninja here, with a jutsu that transformed him into a busty teenage girl in her birthday suite? Really? Is this village some kind of joke? You have got to be kidding me!?" Naruto let out a long, deep, heavy sigh at that particular memory point.

He was really getting more and more disappointed with this village the more he learned about it, but he decided that he would still not judge them yet, as he was only learning things from Naruto's perspective after all. But he was inclined to believe his judgements were right for the time being, as he had experienced for himself how the villagers hated and treated him on his way here. The looks they had shot him were quite uncomfortable, and had he not have already been used to ignoring other people and not caring about what others thought about him, he might have actually been affected by them. As it stands, for him, they were just annoying pests that were insignificant.

"Anyway, after knocking out the hokage, he left with the scroll in hand to go learn a jutsu from it and meet up at the designated meeting place with his teacher to complete the side test. He was ecstatic to be able to pass and become a ninja, and was blissfully unaware of what was really happening around him and what he had caused apparently.

In the end, Iruka and Mizuki finally caught up to him and he learned that Mizuki had actually tricked him to stealing the scroll for him and wanted to abandon the village, becoming a traitor. Iruka tried to stop him, but Mizuki then told Naruto about the reason he was so hated by the villagers. It was apparently because he was in fact the nine-tailed fox-

... wait, what?" Naruto had to stop and blink a few times at the absurdity of the memory fragment he had just recalled. Did he see that right? Or recalled or whatever? He had to have made a mistake. He checked again, but it really was as he had recalled the first time. Mizuki had actually said that he, Naruto, was actually the fox. Not that he had it sealed in him, but that he was the fox itself. After checking it over and over again to make sure that he had it right, he could not help bursting out in loud laughter.

He rolled all over the head of the forth hokage he was currently on, laughing like a mad-man. The level of absurdity was so high that he could not control himself.

"HAHA, HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA. Seriously!? That's... haha.. that's what they thought this was the whole time? They actually thought that... hahaha... that Naruto was the actual fox instead of having it sealed in him? Hahahaha. Just how crazy is that? Why would a monstrously powerful, almighty being such as the nine-tailed fox even bother to take the crap they have been putting him through all these years? Hahahaaaaaa.

Even if somehow the forth had really sealed him into a human form, and even sealed his memories, there is no sealing away a beast's true nature. Naruto would have been violent as hell growing up. A couple measly pranks would have been the least of their worries. Just how stupid are these villagers to be so lacking in knowledge? It's utterly pathetic. Hahahahahaha." Naruto continued to laugh for a while where he was. It took a good bit of time before he was finally able to regain his composure and calm himself down after having such a good laugh.

phew* "Well one thing's for such, these people clearly don't know squat about anything. Which means that there opinions don't really matter much in the long run. Then again, come to thing of it, it could also be that some of them might actually know the truth and are still being like this as a way to vent their anger. They chose to condemn Naruto not because they think that he is the fox, but because they just want someone to take out their frustrations on.

This means that they don't care about what the truth is and will continue to think bad about him no matter what. People like that are always a pain to deal with. The best way to deal with them is to just ignore them completely. After a while, they will be overruled by the ones who would eventually see the truth.

Anyway, back to the trip down memory lane. So after Mizuki told Naruto *snicker snicker* that he was the fox *snicker snicker, ahem. So yeah, after he told Naruto about that, Naruto was apparently greatly disheartened by learning about it. Mizuki then attacked while Naruto was distracted and tried to kill him, but he was rescued by Iruka. Iruka then told him to escape with the scroll, so Naruto, in his confused state, took off running.

However, while running, he had a chance to think things over and realised that he was actually not the fox but simply had it sealed in him. He figured out what the weird pattern like thing that appeared on his stomach every time he used chakra was. It was apparently the seal where the fox was sealed into, meaning he was not the fox, but it's jailer.

When he realised that, he couldn't help just a small amount of resentment for the villagers appearing in him, as if even he could figure out something so simple, then why were the other villagers who were supposed to be much smarter than him unable to realise it themselves? True that my dude. It's clear they are a bunch of idiots.

But it was this slight bit of resentment that opened up a path for the fox to take advantage of. It had then pulled his consciousness into the seal, before telling him the truth about his burden and his parenthood, as well as some other nasty stuff to make him lose his trust in the people he had once believed to be his family.

So in other words, the fox took advantage of his weak and unstable mental state to further plant some nasty ideas in his head. Follow it up with some half truths and maybe even some lies mixed in, along with some apparent proof, and this is what happened. Naruto had lost it and completely released the seal, allowing the fox to gain control and free himself from it, regaining his freedom.

It seems like he would have gotten free as well, if it wasn't for my timely arrival. If that wasn't the case, then this village might have been nothing but ashes right now. Lucky them. Either way, because he had released the seal in such a way, completely by passing the seal levels and directly opening it up forcefully through his immense anger – which by the way, was quite the bit of anger and resentment he released. Poor kid had really lost it – his soul had completely dissipated once the whole thing was over, and he was dead beyond a doubt.

His body would have followed after the fox was free, but because my soul was placed into the body, that never happened. It seemed like the seal was fixed up as well somehow, though I have no idea how that happened or why. I don't really know much about seals or how they work after all, and neither does Naruto. I can only thing that it had something to do with that maybe? Can't be sure though.

Anyway, and that's Naruto's life in a nutshell. The kid really has been through a lot," he said, as he then stopped to think, looking out at the village below. He simply stared on as the wind blew by, blowing his hair and hitting him in the face as he contemplated what to do from now on, though he really only had one option if he didn't want to simply kill himself.

Finally, he made up his mind. He would live in this world as Naruto Uzumaki. It's not like he had a choice in the matter. He was forced into this position for reasons he had no clue about. He had no idea why he was brought to this world, or why he was placed into this body. If he had a choice to chose, he would prefer to start over completely from a new born baby. There would be a lot of inconveniences, but at the very least, he would have more than enough time to adjust and acquaint himself with this new world and learn all he can.

However, that was not an option for him at the moment. He was already in this situation whether he liked it or not, so he could only make the best of it as best he could. He would make do with how things were, and make the most of his situation.

"So my name now is going to be Naruto Uzumaki huh? Well, that's fine, I suppose. I just have to remember that from now on," he said, before he looked up to stare at the vast blue sky. "Naruto, I'm gonna be taking on your identity from now on. I have no idea how this happened, but since I'm in this position, then I promise to live out life for the both of us. I'm not some jerk who would ignore what you went through completely and do things however I liked without caring about you at all.

Since I now find myself in this situation, then it can be considered that I am now something like a big brother to you, so as your older brother, I promise to live fully for both our sakes. I will also make your dream come true, as it is now my dream as well. But be warned, even though I am in your body now, I'm not you. I will be doing things my way." Naruto said, as he raised his hands above his head and clenched it in the direction of the sky. "I will become the strongest ninja this entire world has ever seen before.

I won't be satisfied with just being the strongest hokage. I will surpass every ninja that has ever come before me. I will reach the absolute peak, then surpass that peak to go even further beyond. I will become hokage, not because I want to, but because there would be no better option than to make me hokage because it would be what I deserve more than anyone else. I will make them recognise me, recognise us, and all of our efforts. The name Naruto Uzumaki will go down in history as the greatest ninja to have ever walked the Elemental Nations. That's a promise."

And with that, Naruto, or the new soul inhibiting his body, had made his conviction. He would remain in this village, for the former owner's sake, for his parents' sake, and for his own sake. He would train hard, dedicating himself completely to bettering himself and growing stronger. He would use his knowledge from his past life to improve his abilities beyond reason in this world and become the strongest. He would absolutely make it happen.

Today was the birth of a new Naruto Uzumaki, and the world would soon come to know his name. He would bring forth a raging storm in the Elemental Nations, and he would be at the center of it all. People far and wide would know who he was, and would respect him for a long time to come. He would change the way he used to be before, both he himself in his past life, and the former owner of this body in this life. He did not even care that he could not go back to his old world. He did not live the best life over there, and was determined to use this chance granted to him to change that fact. He would be the best person he could be.

"Look out world, for I am about to bring forth carnage!"

TO BE CONTINUED!

Right, and that's the end of chapter 1. What did you guys think? Good? Bad? I know that many people don't like the isekai genre for Naruto, so I am not expecting much readers for this story. However, I myself like the isekai genre and wanted to try it out for myself. If you like it, well that is good, but if you don't feel free to leave. I am not forcing or begging for anyone to read my story. I have said this many times before in my other story 'My Lemons For Naruto', but I am doing this for fun.

So if you guys have a problem with this story, feel free to hit the back button. For those of you who like this story and want to keep reading, look forward to more chapters to come in the future. I am going to devote most of my time to updating this story with fresh chapters, so 'My Lemons For Naruto' will be taking a back seat and see slower releases, but I will not abandon it. I might, MIGHT, release a new chapter for it once a month or so, but we will see.

Anyway, the next few chapters will be part of the prologue still, as the new Naruto begins to adjust to his new life and makes some changes to the original Naruto's way of life. It will not be a very long prologue, might consist of about three or four chapters for the most, if even that many. I actually am really looking forward to writing out this story. I have so many ideas that I want to put in, all of them already being laid out for me in my draft for the story.

Also, as you have all seen, but the parings for this story for Naruto at least, will be with Hinata and Ino. Hinata will be at first, while Ino will come much later on. That will not change. I will not add or remove anyone from that, as my story has already been decided around that and changing it now would cause a lot of other things to change as well which will mess up my story and I will have too many things to change. So it will remain as is.

Also, another thing. For the current soul inhibiting Naruto's body and taking on his identity, I will be referring to his as just 'Naruto', but for the cannon Naruto whose soul has died and no longer exists in this story, he will be referred to as 'former Naruto' to make things easier to understand, as I will be using the differences between them a lot in future chapters.

You guys can feel free to review or flame or whatnot, they will all be appreciated, but not considered seriously. I will thank all those who support me and my story however, as I always thank those who support me. I will try my best to give regular updates, but I also have a life outside of writing fanfiction after all, so no promises there. All I can say, as usual, is that I will not abandon this fic. Anything beyond that? Well, we will just have to wait and see.

And with that, I'm out. See you in the next chapter. PEACE!
