Chapter 1
"Ready to go, gorgeous?" Dave asked his mate.
"Of course, handsome," Lynnette told him with grin giving him a scorching hot kiss.
Dave and Lynnette Rossi had been married for over 12 years and were just as happy as they had always been. They now had four children with a fifth on the way, as Lynnette was pregnant again.
Since she was over 40 now, this would be her last child at least until after her mother and her siblings other than Spencer were dead.
The Rossi Mansion was now filled with children's laughter as Dave and Lynnette, as well as Spencer's, and Michelle's all ran through the hallways.
Derrick Spencer Rossi was now nearly 12 years old and his brother was eight. The only little girl of Dave's and Lynnette's was six, while the one after that, was another boy who was four.
As for the one that Lynnette was carrying now it was too soon to tell whether it would be another boy or a second girl as Lynnette was only four months long and barely starting to show under her clothes.
The Rossis were heading for Las Vegas, where Lynnette's mother and siblings lived, as Lynnette had a concert for a children's charity once she had arrived. Most of the ticket money was going to a charity that helped children from poor families to get things like musical instruments and lessons if they showed strong musical talent. After she had been told what the concert was for Lynnette couldn't turn down the opportunity to play in her old hometown after that.
Lynnette had been turning down opportunities to play in Vegas for years and had explained some of her reasons to Blake Yearwood, the music producer.
When this concert for charity had come up, however, Lynnette just couldn't say no, since it was for such a good cause. There were numerous other singers and bands that were also participating to raise money for the charity, and therefore, Lynnette had accepted.
Her only request was that her family get backstage passes so they could watch the concert from there instead of from the auditorium.
Lynnette had also stipulated that William Reid was not to be allowed backstage if he happened to attend the concert.
Blake knew the basic story that William Reid was her father but had no idea that she existed. Lynnette had explained with Dave's help that her father had abandoned the three children he knew about before she was even born.
She had also gone on to say that I have never met the man that I share DNA with, but I know enough to know, I would never want to meet him. He left his other three children with emotional scars due to the way he abandoned them like he did. My oldest brother Spencer is a great guy and yet he's the one that carries the deepest scars, because his memory is eidetic.
I know the day would come where he might find out about me, as I became more famous, which is the main reason I have refused to play in Las Vegas up until now, but since this is for a children's charity, I couldn't really refuse to play in my old hometown.
Both Dave and I believe that once he finds out about me and that I'm married a very wealthy man that he'll try to insert himself into our lives. It won't necessarily matter that he's very wealthy himself, since he's a lawyer, as some people just want more instead of being content with the money they have. Neither Dave or I want him anywhere near his grandchildren including my brother's and his wife's children.
Spencer and Michelle would never allow that man anywhere near their children in any case and would protect them with their very lives if necessary. While none of us believe that William Reid will harm any child that doesn't mean that there won't be a confrontation something we'd like to avoid if possible.
Blake had understood and so a current photo of William Reid would be handed out to all the security that was going to be backstage to protect the musicians.
Dave had also informed the organizers of the event that if one William Reid was caught, trying to sneak backstage, then he would immediately be thrown right back out. Also, charges would immediately be pressed if he was.
If any of the people that were supposed to be backstage were caught taking a bribe from him to let him through and it was discovered, then they would immediately be fired, as they would have proved that they were willing to take money from someone to let them back to see the musicians.
Lynnette was at the moment so popular that the organizers agreed with every one of Dave's requests. With Lynnette as one of the main headliners at this charity event the organizers knew that they could expect to have tickets sold out.
The whole family was going since it was in the summer and the children old enough for school were out for the year.
After Lynnette had accepted playing in Las Vegas, Dave had laid down the rules for his children since they were going to be coming along.
The rules were simple they were to obey Bertha and the second nanny, whose name was Mildred or Millie for short. They were also to obey Spencer and Michelle, who were also coming along with their own children. They were to cause absolutely no trouble, and if they behaved like the gentleman and ladies they had been raised to be then they would be rewarded after the concert.
None of the adults really expected any trouble out of any of the children, except perhaps for Dana, who was now nine years old.
Dana was still the most dramatic child of any of the children that belonged to the Rossis or the Reids.
Spencer's and Michelle's other children both another girl and a boy weren't in the least like their sister, not in that way.
The second girl whose name was Heather wasn't half, as dramatic, as her older sister, but then again she was only four years old. She also didn't pitch temper tantrums like Dana still did on occasion, though to be honest, Dana had mostly outgrown the stage where she pitched a temper tantrum to get her way, but that didn't mean she couldn't still be dramatic and a drama queen.
Dana had certainly pitched a fit when she had been told that her grandmother was pregnant again back when she was 2 years old after she had begun to notice that her grandmother's stomach was getting rounder. Once Dana had noticed that her grandmother wasn't as slim as she used to be she had been gently told that her grandmother was pregnant again and the fit she'd had pitched over that was one for the ages.
She had kept screaming, no new baby every time she had seen her grandmother and how her stomach became more prominent and more rounded as the months passed.
The family had simply ignored this behavior after Dave and everyone else had gently explained that she and Derrick were not meant to be only children and that she would learn to love whatever her grandmother was carrying.
Dana had tried her usual tactic of crying and carrying on while screaming no new baby at the top of her lungs at every opportunity.
When that hadn't worked, she simply sulked every time she saw Lynnette with her rounded stomach, and when the baby had actually arrived with it being another boy, Dana had simply refused to have anything to do with her new little cousin, at least at first.
Slowly, however, with everyone's encouragement, she had begun to interact with her new cousin, though at first she was not allowed to be alone with little Elijah.
All the adults in the house were afraid that Dana would accidentally or deliberately do her new cousin harm, just because she believed that she should be the center of attention.
It was true, that little Eli was taking up all his parents time and attention for the first few months, but that stage hadn't really last more than a year or so.
Derrick on the other hand, who was older than Dana was, was far more patient and so spent plenty of time with his dramatic cousin, so she wouldn't feel as if she was being ignored.
All the adults in the house were grateful for Derrick spending time with his younger cousin and his parents made sure to reward him for doing so without being asked.
When the next baby had come along this time, it being Dana's own parents, they'd got another girl and Dana had again pitched a fit, though it hadn't lasted long when she had learned that a new child was on the way.
Unlike most children Dana learned quickly that pitching a fit whenever a new child was on the way didn't get her anything except to be ignored until she stopped misbehaving and acting like a brat.
By the time the third child was on the way this one again, Dave's and Lynnette's, Dana had learned that pitching a fit didn't get her anything at all while behaving often got her rewarded for being a good girl.
"Do we have everything?" Spencer asked as he came into the foyer that was just before the stairs.
"I believe so, and if we leave anything that we really need, we can always buy it," Lynnette said. "I have my guitar and extra strings just in case one breaks."
"All the children's things are packed and ready to go," Dave added. "At least for our brood."
"I can't believe you actually decided to accept the offer to play in Las Vegas," Spencer told his sister. "I never imagined you would ever want to play at a big venue there at least when you played in clubs you weren't as well known and William Reid wasn't as likely to discover he had another child, since as far as we know, he doesn't patronize the type of club you played at, but now things are different," Spencer said.
"Now you are very well known and articles have been published with your picture, though not in Vegas and I doubt that our father ever reads anything except the local paper."
"Hopefully, we've taken care of that," Dave said. "If William Reid attends the concert, he's not to be allowed backstage, and all the security people that will be there will have his picture. It's a current one, so he won't be able to slip past them because he looks older, even if he gives a false name."
"You know I couldn't say no when I learned it was for charity, Spence," Lynnette told her brother. "The money will be going to a good cause and is to help children with musical talent buy instruments and get the lessons they need to become musicians. I might be helping another child start on the path to stardom. I wish such programs had existed when I had been young, so Mom wouldn't have had to sacrifice so much to get me my first instrument and pay for the lessons.
"There are so many children that have musical talent that never get the lessons or the instruments they need, because they come from poor families and their families simply can't afford to buy those things for them. Well, that or the talent isn't recognized by the parents or guardians for one reason or another. You know how much mom struggled to pay for my first guitar as they aren't cheap. It's not like that man would have consented to pay for a musical instrument for a child he didn't even know existed, so mom had to take it out of her own funds. You know if it had only been me that mom had to provide for getting me an instrument wouldn't have been much of a problem and wouldn't have strained finances, but with four children, things were different."
"I know," Spencer said quietly, "which is why I was surprised you agreed to play at a major of venue in Las Vegas. They'll be thousands of people there not just a few hundred. It'll also be published in the local paper, as it's a big event for charity, so it will likely be on the front page."
"You know why I made that decision though, even though I know it's a risk that, that man will come to the concert, because he'll see my picture in the paper and how I'll be playing at the concert hall."
"If he does see the paper, he's bound to see the resemblance between you and mom as you, as look just like her you know," Spencer said. "The only difference is she's a lot older than you are, but there will be no doubt of whose daughter you are."
"So, with any luck, he'll think that mom took up with another man after he left and that I am a product of that relationship, since I really don't look much like that man, as I've seen pictures," Lynnette said.
"You do have his nose and his lips as well as his forehead but other than that no, you don't look much like him," Spencer agreed. "If dad actually believes that you're the product of another relationship, then he's not as intelligent as I seem to remember him being from when we were kids, but I guess we'll see."
"It's just as well that I don't look like that man, or I wouldn't be able to stand to look at myself in a mirror," Lynnette said not joking in the least.
"We'll handle it if he does show up," Dave promised, "but now we really do need to get going."
"I'll go get all the children and hurry them along," Spencer said. "We all know that Dana is going to take the longest, because she's such a drama queen. Michelle should also be down any minute now."
"Bertha and Millie should be able to help you get the children organized and get them down here," Lynnette told her brother. "They know how important this concert is to the adults and especially to me."
"The children also know that if they don't behave, they'll be in trouble," Dave added. "Whichever one misbehaves will be denied a chance to go to any concerts for the rest of the summer, even the one here in New York. Well, at least that's true for Lynnette and mine," Dave corrected. "I expect no trouble from all four, as I know very well that Dana is our main troublemaker."
"Harsh, but I do understand," Spencer said. "As for Dana, she's been warned that she had better behave or she'll be denied the same privilege your children will be. Michelle and I sat her down just the other day and told her that this was a big event for our family and that if she behaved she'd get a special treat. As for the other two, I'm not as worried about them, particularly the youngest since he's only two."
"No, Dana is the drama queen and the one most likely to cause a problem," Dave agreed gravely. "She's matured somewhat since she was going through the terrible twos, but that doesn't mean she can't cause trouble."
"I'm only glad that none of our other children are like Dana, as having one child with a dramatic bent is enough. It won't surprise me at all if she goes on to be a movie star, considering she's very good at acting. She can certainly generate tears at the drop of a hat," Spencer said.
"Which will certainly be useful in such a profession," Lynnette agreed, watching as her brother disappeared upstairs to gather up the children with the nannies help.
~~~Dave and Lynnette~~~
"Can I have a snack dad? I'm hungry," Dana asked her father with a hopeful look.
Dana thrust out her lower lip as if she was about to cry, but neither her father nor her mother hardly ever fell for it when she did.
The shuttle that the whole family was traveling on belonged to the Rossi family personally. It was a nice one and very luxurious and large enough for the hoard they had become. The seats were a very comfortable plush, and there were several couches that people could lay on, so they could take a nap if the trip was more than a couple of hours. The other seats were captain style and could be leaned back so more people could sleep while sitting up if necessary.
"Only if you promise to behave once we land," Michelle broke in before Spencer could respond to his daughter's request.
"No throwing a temper tantrum just because you can't have what you want immediately," Michelle continued. "You're a big girl now and any misbehavior will be punished. None of us want a repeat of the terrible twos is that understood?"
"Why am I always the one that is told to behave?" Dana pouted.
"Probably because you're usually the one that misbehaves," Derrick muttered under his breath from where he was sitting in the opposite aisle close enough to hear the quiet discussion.
"Stay out of it Dirk," Dave told his son quietly, patting him on the shoulder. Dirk was Derrick's nickname.
Derrick shot his father a look but fell silent.
"You are to promise that you will not wander away from where you were supposed to be. If you behave and don't get into any trouble from when we land until after the concert is over and we're back at the hotel then you will be awarded for good behavior," Michelle continued.
"This concert is very important to your grandmother," Spencer added to Dana. "It's for charity to buy poor children, musical instruments, and lessons that go along with them. You know how Lynnette feels about getting a musical instrument into the hands of children who show the talent and you will not ruin this night for your grandmother, as it's very important to the whole family, because it's important to Lynnette. Your Nana, aunt and uncle will be there as well as their children and I'm sure you wouldn't want to miss seeing them, just because you were on restriction."
"If you get in trouble, you can spend the time in the hotel suite with one of the adults while the rest attend the concert. You'll have to watch it on the vid screen instead of being at the actual event while everybody else attends," Michelle added
"I'll behave," Dana promised not wanting to be denied seeing her great-grandmother Diana Reid who she was named for, but then, so was her grandparents Dave and Lynnette, daughter. The only daughter of the Rossis was named Dina, which was just a different version of Diana, just as Dana was.
Nana Diana was a favorite amongst her grandchildren of who she had ten soon to be eleven when her Grandmother Lynnette gave birth to her fifth child, as Roxie had finally found someone to settle down with a few years ago and had two children presently.
Diana had been overjoyed when Roxie had finally married someone she had met in her hometown. The fact that Roxie and her new husband still lived in Vegas meant that Diana could see them and her two grandchildren by her oldest daughter on a regular basis, which made her very happy.
As for Rocky, he also had a child, a girl named Myrna, who he was raising by himself, as the mother hadn't wanted the child, but had also decided not to have an abortion or put the child up for adoption once they were born. The woman in question had signed over all parental rights to the girl to her father and hadn't seen the little girls since.
Rocky had gotten her pregnant because he had believed her when the woman had said that she was on the pill so Rocky hadn't bothered to use a condom.
Diana had accepted the news better than the family figured she would, as she had always been about being married before having children, but Diana also knew that mistakes happened and that Rocky had learned his lesson about not using a condom whether the woman said she was on the pill or not.
Contraceptives after all could fail, even in this century. It still happened, even if it was rare and that was even if the woman hadn't been lying.
Diana finally had grandchildren from all four of her children, even if Rocky was the only one that hadn't married his daughter's mother. However, Diana also didn't want her youngest son to be miserable and forced to marry the girl that had given him his daughter, and she also didn't want the young woman to be miserable either. A mistake had been made, it would not be repeated.
This wasn't the far past where marriage had usually been forced on the couple that had gotten the female pregnant in the first place.
Dana couldn't help but wonder if her own parents were going to have a fourth child or if they were done with just three that included her, her sister and brother.
She certainly hoped not, as she thought they should've just stuck with her and not had any others at all. However, both her parents had sat her down and gently explained that she was never meant to be an only child, so throwing a tantrum and screaming no new baby at the top of her lungs wasn't going to do anything except get her punished or ignored depending on who it was that caught her throwing a tantrum.
If it was her granddad, then he would just ignore her until she stopped screaming no new baby, but if it was her mother, she would be punished for creating a scene.
Dana was slowly learning that she wasn't going to get her own way all the time by throwing a tantrum, as she was a smart little girl who took after both her parents who were very intelligent, especially her father.
Dana knew that everybody in the Rossi household loved her, but they also love children in general, which is why her family the ones that lived in New York had a whole hoard of children instead of just her and Derrick.
"Well, good, make sure you keep your promise," Michelle said satisfied.
"I'll get you a snack now," Dave said flickering on the communications panel that was on the arm of his chair now that the talk seemed to be over. "Anybody else want anything while I'm ordering?"
Nobody else was hungry other than Lynnette, not even the rest of the children, as they'd been well fed before they had gotten on their flight with a luxurious breakfast, even if it had been a bit rushed. Lynnette was pregnant however, so that made a difference, which meant she wouldn't object to a snack and would likely need another one before she performed. Dave rang for the flight attendant to get Dana and Lynnette that snack.
"Yes, sir, how can I help you?" The flight attendant asked politely once she had answered the call.
"We need cheese and crackers, fruit and a glass of ginger ale for my wife," Dave told her. "Also, for Miss Dana, we need a glass of soda and two chocolate chip cookies."
"Right away, Sir," the attendant answered before cutting the link.
"Really dad? Chocolate chip cookies," Michelle protested. "Dana hardly needs the sugar as she's high strung enough as it is."
"You can't deny her sugar just because she's hyper," Dave told his daughter, but not without sympathy.
"To deny her any sugar at all would be denying her one of life's little joys. Besides, a lot of things have sugar in them, not just sweets. Would you want to deny her chocolate until she's an adult just because she's often hyper?"
"You're not the one that has to deal with her at bedtime," Michelle told her father frowning.
"Your father is right, Mellie," Spencer told Michelle quietly kissing her cheek. "It wouldn't be right to deny her chocolate, just because it makes her more hyper then she's normally is. It would be easier if she preferred vanilla like I did as a child, but unfortunately, she takes after you in that regard."
"But at least at home, we have ways of wearing her out, so she comes down from her sugar rush. That's not going to be true when we're heading for this very important concert," Michelle protested again.
"If she isn't tired by the time, bedtime rolls around, then I'll put her to bed tonight," Dave offered.
"I'll hold you to that," Michelle threatened practically growling her annoyance as obvious as the nose on your face, but didn't protest when the attendant brought Lynnette's snack and also Dana's
~~~Dave and Lynnette~~~
The Willow Hotel
The Willow hotel was a five star of course, as the Rossis would never stay anywhere else. In fact, since Dave was the owner it also meant this is where the family stayed whenever they were in Vegas.
Dave and Lynnette along with their children had visited multiple times over the last few years instead of Diana coming to see them whenever Lynnette wasn't on tour and school wasn't in session. Just because Lynnette had never agreed to perform in large venue in Vegas until this charity event didn't mean she hadn't visited Las Vegas at all. She had come to visit her family undercover, as it were instead of publicly. Michelle and Spencer and their children had done the same, so Diana got to see her family often instead of just a few times a year, which made her happy.
Dave had thought it prudent to buy a nice hotel in Vegas since the family visited on a regular basis. It wasn't like Dave didn't own a lot of property and not just in New York, but he hadn't in Las Vegas until after he had met Lynnette.
Dave had found a hotel that wasn't being kept up by the owners and was quickly going downhill and turning into a dump. It had barely been a three star when Dave had acquired it at a very good price, as the owners had been looking to sell since the hotel had stopped bringing in decent money, but only because they didn't want to spend a few million to update it. Dave had renovated it, as it was in a good neighbourhood.
Once renovations were complete, it had been turned into a five star and new staff had been hired while a lot of the old ones had been either retired or let go depending. Some of the original staff had been kept because they had been doing a good job on the little money that the owners had paid them.
Dave had gotten a bargain, because the owners hadn't realized how much work there would be in keeping the hotel updated or how much money it would cost to do so Basically, the owners were poor businessmen, at least when it came to hotels and keeping them updated.
"Nana!" Dana exclaimed excitedly, as her father opened the hotel suite's door to admit his mother.
The Rossis and Reids occupied much of the top floor of the hotel between adults and children they took up quite a lot of room. If you included the two nannies who had rooms of their own half the upper floor was taken just by those that were related to each other. There was only four suits on the top floor each with multiple bedrooms, so one of the nannies stayed with the Rossis, and the other joined the Reids in their suites to help look after the children.
There was the master bedroom in each suites and several bedrooms, so some of the children had to share instead of having a room of their own. The rooms were plenty big enough for that, though. In the case of the Reids, Dana had to share with her sister, so there would be a room for the nanny that was staying with them. Something that Dana wasn't pleased about.
Why can't Bertha and Millie stay in one of the other suites that are not being used Dana had pointed out to her parents quite loudly. Michelle had then his explained calmly that the nannies needed to stay close by in case the adult needed them and in one of the other empty suites on the floor would not be convenient for anyone.
As for the Rossi children two of the boys had to share, while Derrick and got his own room. As for Dina, the other nanny was sharing with the youngest member of the Rossi household so that she would be available if the two-year-old needed her. Derrick was the oldest so that meant he got a room all to himself at least while they weren't at home while Dina was the only girl, so that meant since she was the opposite sex she needed her own space.
Yes, one of the nannies was staying in the same room as Dina, but there was an extra room for the hired help unless the two nannies use one of the empty suites. Dina certainly didn't seem to mind unlike Dana and the two-year-old was all smiles. Dina was certainly better behaved than her older cousin, even as just a toddler.
That left the two younger boys sharing a room, which they didn't mind, because they were the best of friends, which wasn't always the case, between older and younger siblings.
Dana threw herself into her great-grandmother's arms, and Diana caught her.
"Careful," Michelle warned Dana gently. "Your Nana isn't a young woman anymore. You could hurt her on accident by the way you fling yourself into her arms.
"I'm fine," Diana said, waving away Michelle's admonishment of her granddaughter. "I'm still in good health and I'll be around hopefully, to see all my grandchildren grown."
"Still, you need to be careful, Dana. Many elderly people are frailer than younger people," Michelle told Dana. "A lot of people your Nana's age aren't as sturdy and aren't as in of good health as she is."
"I see that we just get ignored," Rocky joked to his sister having entered the suite at the same time as his mother.
"Uncle Rocky," said Sigmond, pulling in on his uncle's pants leg.
"Hey squirt," Rocky said, picking his nephew up and swinging him around in a circle making him giggle. "You're getting so big. You look as if you've grown at least an inch since last time I saw you."
"Oh, he has," Spencer said, as he gave his brother a hug.
"All of them have grown several inches since you last saw them," Michelle said. "It seems like it happened overnight."
"Now Sig, say hello to your cousins and allow your aunt and uncle to sit down and relax before their sister's concert," Spencer instructed.
"I still can't believe you named him. Sigmond," Roxie who had been silent said, winkling her nose in disgust. "You do know he's going to be teased maliciously when he starts school don't you? Of course you do, as you're not unaware of how cruel kids can be since you went through school being bullied. I don't know how you could've done that to your son. Branding him with such a name is bound to get him bullied just like you were Spence."
Sigmond was due to start kindergarten in just a few months.
"We're sending them to the same school that Dana and Derrick and all the children attended when it was time for them to start their education," Michelle told Roxie.
"What Michelle's getting at is that bullying is stamped down on quite severely," Spencer informed his sister. "Anyone who is caught bullying anyone else is disciplined by detention after school and if that doesn't correct the miscreant's behavior then they get a demerit on their record, and after that their parents are contacted. If you get three demerits, you are suspended for a week and if you get five, you are expelled."
"Yes, Sig's name is rather unusual, but I agreed with Spencer when he explained his reasons for wanting to name our son that," Michelle added.
"It makes him stand out unlike all the other Tom, Dick, and Harrys in the world," Spencer said, "and I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.
"I was certainly teased and bullied in high school, partly because of my name, but then, I know mom couldn't afford to send any of us to a private school like we're doing with our kids."
"I suppose that's good then," Roxie said, winkling her nose again. "I still think he could've picked a more normal name."
"That's enough Roxanna," Diana told her daughter sharply. "You'll give Sig a complex if you keep complaining about his name. You know how intelligent he is like his father and you wouldn't want to give him the wrong impression at such a young age like your father did to all of you, but especially to Spencer."
That drew Roxie up short, and she fell silent as she realized that it wasn't really her business when it came to the name that her brother and his wife chose for their children.
Yes, Sigmond was definitely an unusual name, especially in this era, but maybe that was why her brother and Michelle liked it so much because it wasn't as popular as other names. It just meant that Sigmond had a lot to prove as he grew into adulthood.
Besides, it was much too late to change it now as Sig was nearly 5 years old, and the birth certificate had been made out and registered years ago.
"You could at least wait until he wasn't present before you said anything. Spencer and Michelle are allowed to name their kids, anything they like whether you agree with it or not," Diana continued.
"You're right," Roxie said, as she ruffled her nephew's hair. "Just because I don't like the name doesn't mean Spencer and Michelle don't. I could never name any kid of mine something like Sigmond."
All the children, meanwhile, were ignoring the adults, as they chatted with each other as they hadn't seen each other much during the school year.
Diana, of course, was free to visit whenever she wanted, usually on a weekend whenever school was in session. Still, they kept in constant contact with each other to catch up on the news and the gossip.
"Now that that's settled, why doesn't everybody sit down and relax as Lynnette's concert isn't for a few hours," Diana gently suggested.
Everybody listened to Diana's gently worded suggestion and sat down so they could chat before Lynnette's concert.
Lynnette, on the other hand, would already be at the concert venue, making sure everything was set up for her performance, so none of them would see her until after the concert was over. Dave, however, would be over with his children while his wife was busy before the concert, so they could all travel together. Once they arrived at the location that the concert was being held they would immediately be escorted backstage where they would watch Lynnette perform.
After that, they would be given a backstage tour and meet some of the other performers that had agreed to participate in this event for charity.
They would certainly be quite popular with their classmates when school resumed when they told about their experiences. Their classmates were going to want the Rossi and Reid children to repeat those stories again and again and also wish that they'd had a similar experience.
They would be on top of the gossip chain for the next few weeks or until something else came along too take them off it.
