Tail's here with chapter 9, sorry it took a bit despite being on a bit of a roll with this story, having some personal problems, but it hasn't stopped me from working on this story. Now I want to point out something because of a now deleted guest review, Charlie, Lucifer, Lillith and Makai. They thought, it's all from Hazbin Hotel, but it's not, only Charlie is, Lillith and Lucifer, are based off of Lillithmon and Lucemon Falldown mode, from Digimon, while Makai isn't based of anything from anime. Now as I reput in a previous chapter, the demon language, is now Latin, which pops up a bit in this chapter, translators are a little wonky, from latin to english, some wont be an exact one to one, of what is being said.

We find Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Erza, Gray and Ur, riding in a carriage, Natsu is layed out, with Erza cradling his head. "I really wish Ruby could get Natsu one of those keys, like she uses." Gray says, annoyed.
"Not going to happen, Natsu and I talked to her about it, turns out that key is something only Makai Royalty have, and since she's an adopted Princess, she has one." Happy explains.
"Damn." Gray huffs.
"But she has looked into getting one of the gems, the transportation her key calls, have on them, to be a part of a necklace or armband, so he can never become useless, like he does when on transportation." Happy continues, when the carriage comes to a full stop, just a bit away from an all pink villa, they get out, well, Natsu kind of just flops out, and they hear a giggle, they look behind them and are surprised to see Wendy and Carla, well more Happy and the quickly recovering Natsu are surprised.
"I'm surprised you got on any type of transportation, Mister Natsu, I know I avoid it at all costs." Wendy says.
"You're the girl Natsu met and befriended, during Laxus's rebellion." Erza says, and Wendy nods.
"Yeah, my name is Wendy Marvell, Miss Titania, I'm the Sky Dragon Slayer." Wendy says, shocking them, other than Natsu and Happy, they then see her look a tad disappointed. "I hoped I might get to work with Miss Ruby, when Master Roubaul chose Carla and I to help." She says.
"No disrespect to your skills, since I sparred with and gave you tips on your Magic, but you know we're going to be fighting a pretty strong Dark Guild." Natsu says, surprising the group, except, Carla and Happy, Wendy and Carla nod.
"Yeah, Oracion Seis, a head of the Balam Alliance, I know Carla and I may not be as strong as all of you, but I trust my Big Sister's Training." Wendy says, and Natsu nods.
"Right, Pyrrha is an S-Class, the Battle Goddess." Natsu says out loud, surprising Erza and Lucy.
"The Battle Goddess?!" Lucy says, shocked.
"You've heard my Big Sis's Alias?" Wendy asks.
"We heard it from Ruby, during a sleepover, she said the Battle Goddess had been compared to her." Erza says, surprising Wendy and Carla.
That's weird, Big sis was pretty resolute that Ruby was stronger than her." Wendy says. "Natsu, how is Miss Ruby, is she still in that bad mood, you talked about a few weeks ago?" She asks, and Natsu sighs.
"Pretty much, she's been on non-stop S-Classes, since Laxus's Excommunication, and as soon as she was back from her most recent mission, I was going to try and talk with her, with Gramps help, but then an Emergency S-Class Quest came in, requesting Ruby specifically, and then Gramps chose us for this mission, that was yesterday." Natsu says, surprising Wendy and Carla.
"The same thing happened to Cait Shelter, we received an Emergency S-Class yesterday as well, and it requested Pyrrha." Carla says, surprising the Fairy Tail Mages.
"That aside, you seem pretty interested in Ruby." Ur says, and Wendy nods excited.
"Ruby's her new Role Model." Natsu chuckles, shocking the group.
"She used to look up to Pyrrha the same way, she still does, but after watching Ruby on the projection that day, and Pyrrha saying Ruby's stronger, well, Wendy just looks up to her a lot." Carla says.
"Why is this so shocking, she's so strong, holds the current record for the youngest S-Class in all of Fiore, and she's only 3 years older than I am, why wouldn't I look up to her." Wendy says, and they can understand it, put like that, Erza sighs.
"I wouldn't get your hopes up, Ruby's always been cold and standoffish, but it's been worse since Laxus was Excommunicated." Erza says.
"To me, it seems like she's trying to avoid facing the truth, that Laxus is gone." Ur says, they hear shuffling from the wooded path, Gray, Natsu, Happy and Ur are surprised to see Lyon and Sherry, but Ur chuckles seeing a tall, built man with no hair and oval shaped eyebrows, he's wearing a white and blue striped mantle, lined with yellow string, around his neck, dark belts crossing his chest diagonally, dark green, scaled armbands that almost reach his shoulders, a dark blue wrap around loincloth, that's lined with yellow fur, and thick boots.
"Hail, Lady Ur and the Alliance members from Fairy Tail and Cait Shelter." The man greets, respectfully.
"Hello Jura, it's a pleasure to see you again." Ur says.
"Jura, how do you know my teacher?" Lyon asks, and Jura chuckles a bit.
"Right, yourself and Sir Gray, were once pupils of Lady Ur, well she is being evaluated for the position of Wizard Saint." Jura explains, shocking Lyon.
"Is that why you're here Jura?" Ur asks, and Jura sighs.
"Not fully, I am to evaluate you, but Master Ooba also chose to send me as a member of the alliance alongside Young Lyon and Sherry." Jura explains, and Ur sighs.
"Jura, I don't know if this mission is a good one for me to be evaluated on, this is personal for me." She says, and Lyon notices, both her and Gray creating a very cold chill.
(Damn, something has both of them beyond pissed.) Lyon thinks.
"Why is that?" Sherry asks.
"Jura, you know about Ultear's connection to me, correct?" Ur asks, and Jura nods.
"Yes, former Councilwoman Ultear is your Daughter, the one you thought was dead, back before your use of Iced Shell." Jura says, shocking Lyon.
"The Daughter you thought was dead, is actually alive!?" Lyon asks, and Ur nods.
"When Ultear was a kid she got severely sick, I took her to the Bureau of Magical Development because I was told they could cure her, since supposedly she was suffering from having too much magic. The man who led the Bureau at the time, who kidnapped and lied telling me she was dead, is Brain, the Guildmaster of Oracion Seis!" Ur explains, and gets angrier as she explains, Scaring Lyon and Gray, having never seen Ur so absolutely LIVID, as her arms scale over and become clawed, and her normally black eyes turn teal, as she taps into Deliora's Magic inside of her, Natsu and Gray, notice her eyes change, when all that's changed before, were her arms.
(That's new, not that I can blame her for this level of rage, but…) Natsu and Gray think.
"Seem's this Brain guy has a lot of pain coming his way." Wendy says, and they all hear a chuckle, from the tree's, they look and see a man, wearing a green Cloak over a red outfit, and a tribal mask, the person surprises Lyon and Sherry.
"Zalty, what are you doing here?" Lyon and Sherry ask, shocked seeing him, making him chuckle.
"Ah, Lyon-Boy and little Love-Struck Sherry, I'm not really here doing anything, but continuing my travels, I was passing by, and heard this little commotion, taking on the Dark Guild Oracion Seis, huh, mind if I join, I have a… little score with the man Brain myself, though I doubt it's as much as what Miss Milkovich does." Zalty says.
"You know this guy, Lyon?" Gray asks, and Lyon nods.
"Yeah…, he was one of the people helping me on Galuna. Zalty, you realize the Oracion Seis is a rather strong Dark Guild, it's the reason 4 Light Guilds are banding together to take them down." Lyon says, and he nods.
"Of course Lyon-Boy, I in fact have had a few run-ins with a couple of their members, and fought them off with relative difficulty, so if you do let me join, I do have some first-hand experience with them." Zalty says, surprising them, and Lyon looks at Jura.
"Jura?" Lyon asks, and Jura thinks for a minute and nods
"I don't see why not, Sir Zalty understands the risks, is willing to help, and he has information that can only be of help to us." Jura says, and Zalty chuckles.
"Thank you, Sir Jura, you have my word, that I'll give my all." Zalty says, bowing, as they all head to the mansion.
"Hey, Mister Jura?" Wendy asks.
"Yes, Young Lady." Jura replies.
"Yesterday, Cait Shelter and Fairy Tail received an Emergency S-Class Quest, requesting my Big Sis Pyrrha and Miss Ruby. I was wondering, since you're a Wizard Saint, if you might know about the mission." Wendy explains, he nods and sighs.
"Actually I do, Princess Hisui was kidnapped, and initially Draculos Hyberion was dispatched, but he filed the Emergency S-Class Quest to have backup, for such an important task, Ruby Rose, Pyrrha Nikos and Bacchus Groh were his requests." Jura says, shocking everyone.
"Wow, the Second God of Ishgar, and 3 of the top 6 S-Classes in Fiore, on one Mission, that'd be a spectacle to see, it is understandable though, the Princess of Fiore was kidnapped." Zalty says, with surprise in his voice.
"5 now, Laxus Dreyar, was Excommunicated from the Guild." Gray says, and Zalty raises a brow, which none of them can see, they all step into the mansion, and are greeted by 3 teen males, one has blonde hair and wearing a black suit with blue undershirt, the second has black hair and black suit, the third is a boy close to Wendy's age, with short blonde hair a black suit with pink undershirt.
"Where is Sir Ichiya?" Jura asks, and Erza groans in disdain, at the name.
"I'm here, Saint Jura." A man says from the stairs, he's short, fat and has a rectangle shaped head, he has orange hair and beady black eyes, wearing a white suit.
"We're all here, let's get this mission underway with the debriefing." Jura says, and Ichiya nods, but notices Zalty, and Jura notices. "This is Sir Zalty, he's an associate of Young Lyon here, he's also had run-ins of his own with Oracion Seis, so he has personal business and first-hand info about them." He explains, and Ichiya nods, but makes a trip to the bathroom.
"Now, north from here is the Worth Woodsea, sealed away by an ancient people, is an amazingly strong Magic, called Nirvana." Ichiya says.
"This Magic must be something else for people of the past to seal it away." Natsu says, seriously.
"I assume, this Nirvana, is what the Oracion Seis is after?" Ur asks, and Jura nods.
"Yes, that is why this alliance has been created, to stop them!" Ichiya yells, doing flamboyant poses, as he talks.
"We have 16, to their 6, this is going to be too easy." Lyon says.
"Don't underestimate them, Lyon-Boy, the Oracion Seis are incredibly strong, there's a reason they're a head of the Balam Alliance, despite only having 6 members." Zalty admonishes.
"Well said, Sir Zalty." Jura nods.
"Hibiki." Ichiya says, and Hibiki nods, snapping his fingers and 6 pictures appear, the first is a slim man with upward styled maroon hair, wearing a white coat over a black shirt.
"This is the Snake Wizard, Cobra." Hibiki says.
"Something really annoys me, looking at this guy, but I can't put my finger on it." Wendy says.
"Same." Natsu nods.
"Second, we think he uses some type of Speed Magic, Racer." The black haired man says, and a new picture enlarges, showing a slim man with a blonde mohawk, wearing a red and white racing suit.
"Something rubs me the wrong way, about this guy." Lyon says, Gray and Ur nod.
"Third, the man willing to wipe out armies, if the price is right, Hot eye." The young boy says, as the picture of a large and imposing man dressed like a preacher, enlarges.
"He kills for money, that is disgusting!" Ur growls, and Jura nods in agreement.
"It turns my stomach." Jura says.
"Fourth, she's beautiful, but just as dangerous, Angel." Ichiya says, as the picture of a girl with silvery white hair and revealing attire enlarges.
"Beautiful but deadly, how cliché." Lucy scoffs.
"Lucy, you realize, many people would probably say the same thing about Erza, Mira, heck even Ruby." Natsu says.
"Fifth, we actually know nothing but his name, Midnight." Hibiki says, enlarging the picture of a lean effeminate man with spiky black, and straight white hair, wearing a punkish outfit.
"It's an odd name, does it have anything to do with his Magic?" Erza asks
"Last but not least, the Guild Master, Brain." The Dark haired guy says, as the picture of a tall, dark-skinned man, with odd lines on his face, slicked back, silver hair, wearing a white coat lined with black fur. Ur, balls her fists, as her eyes turn teal, and everyone else notices the mansion getting very cold.
"Mister Zalty, what can you add to the knowledge here?" Ur asks, taking a deep breath.
"Well, I've had run-ins with, Cobra, who has Hearing Magic, making him a very difficult opponent, since he can hear your slightest movement, and even hear your thoughts, but what really makes him a threat on top of that is the fact that he's a Second-Generation Dragon Slayer, his is Poison Dragon Slayer Magic. Second is Hot-Eye he uses Liquid Ground Earth Magic, and some type of Eye Magic. Last, and second strongest after the Guild Master, Midnight, he uses Reflector Magic, he can distort and twist all manner of things." Zalty explains, shocking everyone, but he holds a hand up. "I believe Dragneel-Boy, might be a good counter to Midnight, not only is Fire Dragon Slayer Magic a powerful magic on it's own, but I distinctly remember seeing you use Crash Magic on Galuna Island, if you've gotten better since then, it might be the perfect counter to Midnight's Magic." He says, which Natsu nods his head at.
"I can counter Hoteye, Earth Magic is what I'm known for, I am called Iron Rock Jura." Jura says.
"Well, I can back anyone up to fight Cobra, his poison will be useless against my Sky Dragon Healing Magic." Wendy says.
"Alright, but how will we counter his Hearing Magic?" Lucy asks.
"We'll need someone who can move faster than he can react." Zalty says.
"I really wish Ruby was here, hell even Laxus would be helpful, if we need speed." Natsu says.
"Well, I'm also capable of Enchantment, I can make someone faster, stronger, and even take hits better." Wendy says.
"I think Gray, with Wendy's help, can handle Cobra." Ur says.
"Well that's if our original plan fails, finding them and their base, and using the Magic Bomber, and Pride of Blue Pegasus, Christina, to rain Oblivion down on them." Ichiya says.
"Well, let's at least go looking for the base for now, we can figure a few things along the way." Natsu says, and the group heads out, though Ur looks back at Ichiya and Jura and waits outside.
"Saint Jura, a question, since you're a member of the Wizard Saints, would you consider yourself a match for Master Makarov?" Ichiya asks, and Ur's brow rises.
"Perish the thought, I may be a Wizard Saint, but I'm certainly the weakest of them. Comparing me to Master Makarov is like comparing Heaven to the world of Earthland." Jura says.
"That is a relief; I was worried, what I'd do if you were the same level as Makarov." Ichiya says, as Jura smells a foul smelling odor, and starts having trouble standing, and is then stabbed in the stomach, he looks at 'Ichiya', who glows gold, and turns into 2 tiny, blue imp like creatures, Ur is looking around the doorway.
(If I'm right, I think that's the Celestial Spirit Gemini.) Ur thinks, surprised to see another Celestial Spirit.
"Peh, that Ichiya guy doesn't think about anything but, Sex, it's disgusting. He doesn't think at all." Gemini says, and the Seis member Angel walks up to Jura.
"Yes, yes, stop your complaining Gemini. Thanks to copying that dirty old man, I know your whole plan, but that Zalty guy is a problem, for all that info he has, which shouldn't be possible, nobody who has fought any of us has survived." Angel boasts, but is shocked when Gemini are frozen in place, and she feels something stab into her own stomach, she looks down to see the end of a rapier made of Ice stuck through her stomach.
"Thanks for confirming the feeling I've had about that Zalty guy." Ur says, pulling the Rapier out, then freezes Angel over. "Now be a good girl, and stay right there." She says, kicking and knocking Angel out. (I hope Ruby is having a better time than we are.) She thinks.
[That morning]
We see Ruby, Pyrrha, Draculos, and a tall, muscular guy, probably 19, he has straight, black hair pulled in a low ponytail, slanted, red eyes, he's wearing a dark blue, form-fitting, sleeveless changshan tucked into dark black pants with a light sash looped in said sash is a gourd shaped flask, and plain Chinese shoes with light soles, crouched in a dense thicket of trees staring at a cave entrance. "So Boss man, what's the plan?" The other man asks, seemingly inebriated.
"Bacchus, why do you have to already be drunk, you should take this more seriously!" Ruby growls, well beyond annoyed. (I have to deal with that drunk failure, more than I'd like. Why do I have to be on the same job, as someone who's entire fighting style revolves around being drunk?!) She thinks, and Draculos sighs.
"Bacchus's Inebriation aside, normally I wouldn't make a plan for a job like this, with the 3 of you being well known S-Classes, I'd normally let you operate as you normally would. But as this is a very serious situation, with Princess Hisui in the clutches of some very vile people. Bacchus, Pyrrha and myself, shall take on the Dark Mages behind this, while Ruby you are perfect for infiltration to get Hisui to a safe place or protect her." Draculos says, and the 3 of them nod.
"Sir, I have a question." Pyrrha says, and he nods. "I understand the direness of the situation, but you're still one of the four gods of Ishgar, what makes a run of the mill Dark Guild need this type of response, no matter who they kidnapped?" She asks, and he nods in understanding.
"That is a reasonable question, we're up against a rather new Dark Guild, they call themselves the Tres Daemones, they've been causing trouble all throughout the year, even threatening several of the former Council members lives." He says, and Ruby's eyes widen, and they notice. "I assume you've heard of them, Miss Rose?" He asks.
"No sir, it's the name of the Dark Guild, it's Makain." Ruby explains, surprising Draculos and Pyrrha, but confusing Bacchus.
"The hell is Makain?" Bacchus asks, annoying Ruby.
"It's the language of the demon world, you drunk dunce, and only Demons, Devils and Devil Slayers know the language, and I mean it that way, no other race is capable of learning Makain, short of words for items or even weapons, demons and devils make pacts with humans with, and the Guilds name means Three Demons." Ruby explains.
(This Ruby seems much meaner, than the one I remember from Remnant. It makes me skeptical that she remembers her Past life like I do.) Pyrrha thinks.
"Does that mean, there's only three members of this Dark Guild?" Bacchus asks.
"It's possible they chose to model themselves after the Oracion Seis, who only have six members." Draculos says. "As a Devil Slayer yourself, Miss Rose, is there anything we need to watch out for?" He asks, and Ruby sighs.
"Not really, none of you use any form of Dark Magic, so you don't have to worry about them consuming your spells, I can't really tell you what to look out for, without knowing their element, just like Dragon and God Slayers, a Devil Slayers way of fighting is drastically different based on their element." Ruby says, and he nods.
"Well, let's get started, the mission starts now." He says, as Ruby sinks into the Shadow Realm, and follows the three to the cave entrance. "Would you be so kind as to get the cretins attention, Miss Nikos?" He asks, she nods, holding a hand out and in a crimson flash a large, gold and white blade appears, she holds it to the side as a blue magic mist starts to flow off of the blade, and swings it, releasing an arc of pure magic, hitting just above the cave entrance, but carving well into the mountainside, and after a minute, three men run out, and their eyes widen, seeing Draculos.
"Shit, this wasn't part of the plan!" one yells, he has short brown hair, and pupiless blue eyes, he's wearing a sleeveless black shirt over a short-sleeved mesh shirt, blue pants and black boots. Ruby speeds into the cave, as Draculos, Pyrrha and Bacchus attack the 3 Dark Mages, after she's a ways in, she sees an odd door, it's… bright pink with blue flowers across it, she rises out of the shadow realm, and hears 2 different voices, one she recognizes as Princess Hisui, she opens the door and see 2 girls, first and foremost a 13 year old girl with shoulder-length, green hair and large dark green eyes, wearing a fancy, white sundress, this is Princess Hisui E. Fiore. The second girl on the other hand, is only 5 or 6; she has neck-length black hair and large, pupiless, pale blue eyes, she's wearing a much more humble red sundress, the 2 girls look over.
"Miss Ruby!" Hisui yells, happy, not at all scared, as Ruby would've expected, running up to her. "I didn't expect you to be the one to come to my aid, but Miss Ruby, you need to know there's a big misunderstanding here, yes those men did kidnap me, but it wasn't for nefarious reasons, the leader Henry, his daughter here really needs help." She explains, and Ruby stares, at her then the girl, and notices how pale and frail she looks, she's trembling looking at Ruby, and then Ruby is surprised, as the sclera of her right eye turns black while that iris turns pink, and crimson marks that look like thorny vines appear on her right arm.
"Depelle aliquem Magia in hoc cella." Ruby says, as her Uncle's Spear appears and she taps it on the ground releasing a gold wave, which washes over both girls, the little girl goes back to normal. "Now say that again, Princess Hisui." she says, and Hisui does, saying the exact same thing, making Ruby sigh and look at the trembling girl. "Scio quid pateris, ac mederi optime scio." she says, and to Hisui's surprise the girl stops shaking, and looks at Ruby hopefully.
"Vere?" The girl says, and Ruby smiles kindly.
"Ita. Quod tibi nomen est, puella?" Ruby asks.
"An-Annabeth." The now named Annabeth says, and Ruby nods, guiding the 2 of them out of the cave, only to see the three 'dark mages' tied up.
"Ah, Miss Rose, there you are with the Princess and am I to assume another kidnapped child, how foul?" Draculos asks.
"No." Ruby says simply, and looks at Annabeth. "Quis est pater tuus?" She asks, and Annabeth runs over to the guy with brown hair.
"Pater!" Annabeth says, shaking the man awake.
"Annabeth, what are you doing out of your room, honey?" Henry asks, surprising Pyrrha, Draculos, and Bacchus, he then sees the Mages, as Ruby bends down in front of him, glaring at him.
"You have some rather big balls to kidnap Princess Hisui, just to get your daughter some help." Ruby says, surprising the mages, and he looks down ashamed.
"I'm sorry but it's the only thing I could think of, you see her don't you, she's super sick, and nobody would help me after that dirtbag mayor, labelled us Dark Mages, I snapped, even if we go away for a long time, my daughter, will get the help she needs." He says.
"Once this is explained, I doubt you'll be going away at all, King Fiore is a father after-all, but you're lucky that I'm here, or your daughter would have been sent to an orphanage, and most likely have died." She says, shocking all of them.
"Do you know what's going on with her brat?" Bacchus asks, seriously.
"Of course I do, at this moment, little Annabeth is suffering from Induced Magic Rejection." She says, confusing Henry, and horrifying the people who use Magic.
"What does that mean?" Henry asks.
"It means, her body is rejecting the Magic she now has, the magic is tearing her apart from the inside out, very slowly." She says, horrifying him. "Now the reason you're lucky, is normally this is irreversible, but considering the Magic she has, I actually know of a way to reverse it, no matter the damage that's been done." She says, surprising them.
"What Magic does she have?" Pyrrha asks.
"She's a Second Generation Devil Slayer, at some point before she got sick and her body started to reject the Magic, she must've accidentally eaten a Devil's Heart." Ruby says, shocking and horrifying them. "What it's not like devils made the way for Second Generations Devil Slayers to be made, unlike Gods, that was all humanity, plus it's much easier to eat a Devil Heart than you might think, as they don't look like hearts. Now, off that topic, we need to get a strong healer, and take her to Makai to go through the blood ritual all Slayers go through to stabilize her Magic, and purge the darkness in Devil Blood." She explains, and Pyrrha sighs.
"If Sir Draculos and Bacchus can handle this from here, I know the perfect Healer, but we'll have to help with another Mission." Pyrrha says, making Ruby sigh, and Draculos nods.
"I'll have the reward sent to your Guild Master, to hold onto, you 2 go save this girl." Draculos says, and they nod, Ruby grabs Annabeth and pulls out her key, summoning a small Airship with plenty of room to walk around, that Ruby, Pyrrha and Annabeth get on, and an imp appears.
"Where do you need to go, Lady Ruby?" It asks.
"No clue, Pyrrha where are we going?" Ruby asks, and Pyrrha notices the familiarity in how she speaks to her now.
"The Worth Woodsea." Pyrrha says, and the imp nods, the airship takes off at a fast speed, Ruby takes Annabeth to a small on ship bedroom.
"Dormi, et in titulo meo, adoptata principissa regni daemonis, proximo tempore expergiscimini, omnia meliora sentias." Ruby says, and Annabeth lays down on the bed.
"Gratias tibi ago, principissa Ruby." Annabeth says, and Ruby uses the same sleep spell, Mystogan uses, to put her to sleep, she walks back to the bridge and sits across from Pyrrha.
"So what job is your little sister doing, in the Worth Woodsea, because last I heard a few Light Guilds are banning together to combat the Oracion Seis, who were last seen in the Worth Woodsea." Ruby says, and Pyrrha chuckles awkwardly.
"Uhm, that's kind of the job she's on… her and Carla are a part of that alliance." Pyrrha says, shrinking a bit, then she feels Ruby's Magic.
"WHAT!? You let your little sisters go on a mission against one of the heads of the Balam Alliance!?" Ruby screams, as her magic starts manifesting, bathing the room in a red haze, scaring Pyrrha a bit.
"It's alright isn't it, since there are Mages from other Guilds, including Fairy Tail." Pyrrha says, shrinking a little more, and Ruby shoots up.
"No it's not, going against a member of the Balam Alliance is tantamount to an S-Class job, as an S-Class, you should know the dangers they pose, you should know how quickly a job like that could go south! Gods, the Pyrrha I remember, would never do something like this." Ruby says, rubbing her head to alleviate the newly gained headache, when she realizes what she said, and see's Pyrrha looking shocked.
"I wondered if you knew about your past life like me." Pyrrha says, and Ruby just growls.
"Of course I do, I'm the adopted Daughter of the King and Queen of Makai. Let me guess, around the age of 7, you started having these odd dreams that at some point, ended with your death in them?" Ruby asks, and Pyrrha nods. "Who's your adopted parent, and what type of Slayer are you? Since only Devil's, Dragons and Gods in a pretty high position, are capable of restoring memories from a past life." She says.
"I'm a War God Slayer, my adoptive Father is Ares, Head of the War God Pantheon." Pyrrha says, and Ruby chuckles at that.
"The Head of a Pantheon, huh, how'd that happen?" Ruby says.
"I could ask you the same, how'd you end up the adopted Daughter of Lucifer and Lillith… and also, what happened on Remnant after my death?" Pyrrha asks, and Ruby growls at that.
"I'll answer the first question, if you do so, but let me tell you something, Remnant is history, it's not our world anymore, there's no reason to think about it anymore!" Ruby grinds out, scaring Pyrrha at the hostility.
(Things must've been bad, or more likely gone bad, for Ruby specifically, for her to have this much disdain.) Pyrrha thinks. "It's pretty simple really, but my hometown was caught in the middle of a war and was completely razed, I was the only survivor, Ares followed soon after, to stop the war, and found me, and took me in, I was only four at the time, so I wasn't to cooperative with him back then, plus it was before, I got my memories back." She explains, and Ruby chuckles.
"The Head of the War God Pantheon, stopping a war, sounds like a bad joke." Ruby says, and Pyrrha chuckles.
"Yeah, I was confused too, but in time Ares explained how War Gods are, they hate most of the reasons behind Human Wars. To War gods, war is a different beast, war is a form of art and expression, and they absolutely loathe mindless bloodshed and slaughter, and when mindless wars start up, they stomp it out before it can cause too much damage, it's probably the main reason, War Gods don't have a good rep with humans, Humanity inherently veers to hating anything that is stronger than us, puts us in our place, heck Humanity will find any reason to hate anything." Pyrrha explains.
"Definitely look at the humans back on Remnant and how they treated Faunus, when on all conceivable notions, they were better, with the vast animal traits they could be born with. Now, my tale is pretty similar to yours, It was when I was 3, one night a group of Demon Worshippers, came to my village, attracted by me and my moms Magic signatures, they sacrificed the entire town and were about to kill me, when their sacrificial ritual worked, but instead of summoning some no name demon, they somehow summoned Lillith, she was absolutely livid and disgusted, she slaughtered the worshippers, and took me in, but not after, saving a piece of my mothers soul, and storing in in a crystal ball." Ruby explains her story.
"How ironic, my childhood was ruined by war, and yours by Demon worshippers, yet, we were essentially raised by the very thing that destroyed our childhoods, a War God and Devils." Pyrrha says, and Ruby scoffs.
"If anything ruined my childhood, it was regaining the memories of the Remnant Ruby Rose." Ruby scowls. "I'm going to take a nap in the other bedroom, come and get me when we get to the Worth Woodsea." Ruby says, leaving the bridge, and Pyrrha just watches her.
"Is she very different from your past life, Lady Pyrrha?" The Imp driving asks.
"Yeah… extremely, the Ruby I remember from Remnant was easily one of the nicest and kindest people you'd ever meet, she had more energy than I had ever seen in anyone, and she wore her heart on her sleeve. But this Ruby is so distant, and cold, well except for that little girl, but she seems easily angered at times, she seems a lot like Yang." Pyrrha says, and she sees the imp tense.
"Lady Pyrrha, never say that name around Lady Ruby, and especially not to her face. I do not know what happened in her past life, but something about her past life's older sister brings out this… seething rage." He says, shocking Pyrrha to her core. "But on the contrary, their is a small handful of people, she shows a softer side to, you're just re-meeting her, in a very bad time, I assume, when you were in Magnolia during Sir Laxus's rebellion, Lord Dragneel told you how close, Laxus and Ruby were?" He asks, and Pyrrha nods. "Well, Lady Ruby's not exactly taking his Excommunication very well, and is frankly, not dealing with her personal feelings, with the situation." He says. "Though how she was with little Annabeth, is kind of the norm, if she's around children, it's like all of her negativity goes away, and she's the same old Ruby… before she regained her past life's memories." He explains, surprising Pyrrha.
"I had temper problems, before I regained my memories, with it came all the discipline I had built, in my past life. But Ruby seemed to be the same as I remembered from then, before regaining her memories, and after is when she became distant and cold?" She asks.
"Yes, I mean she wasn't like that all the time, Lady Charlie, was always able to bring her positive side back out." He says. "There's also Young Romeo and Anais, who are like younger siblings to her… …then there was Lisanna Strauss, Ruby looked out for that girl like she was her own sister, instead of Mirajane's, when she died, it pretty much broke Ruby, and solidified her coldness, to the point she only shows her softer side to children." He explains, and Pyrrha just files all of that away, and watches the scenery go by, after a few hours, she can see the Worth Woodsea in the distance, but is alarmed to see a black and white magic beam blast into the sky quite a distance away.
"That's still like an hour away." Pyrrha mumbles, trying not to think about the possibilities, after-all Ruby was right, she does know how easily, an S-Class and a job like this, could go south, and like Ruby, Pyrrha's own crimson colored magic manifests. (If Wendy's hurt or god forbid dies, I'll show the Oracion Seis, what it truly means to fight a War God!) She thinks, calming herself down.
[Back with the Alliance before backpedal]
We see the group minus Ur, Jura and Ichiya, running along the forest path, until they see the shadow of Blue Pegasus's Magic Bomber Christina, they Look up at it in time to see it get rocked by an explosion, it falls creating a giant dust cloud, that dissipates revealing the Oracion Seis, except for Angel, and they see brain holding his head as one of the lines on his face is fading away. "How did they take down Angel, already!?" Brain growls, surprising his members and the alliance, and he glares at the alliance members. "How did you maggots defeat Angel?!" He yells, and Gray steps up, radiating a black mist.
"We have no clue what you're talking about, we didn't run into anyone on the way here, sorry Master, but I'm bagging this trash." Gray says, slamming his hands together. "Ice-God-Make : Arrows!" He chants, creating a large chunk of black ice, that shatters into a bow, then releases a massive volley of black ice shards, surprising Brain, as everyone except for Midnight, who's napping on a floating carpet, burst into action, with Erza and Wendy rushing at Cobra, Lyon and Sherry rushing at Racer, Hibiki and the other 2 guys, rush at Hot Eye, and Natsu rushes at the napping Midnight, while Lucy hangs back with Happy, Carla and Zalty.
"Salamander is an idiot, going after Midnight." Cobra chuckles, dodging a sword swipe and a wind encased kick.
"Absolute Fist!" Natsu yells, throwing a glowing, white Fist at Midnight, it hits the air, seemingly hitting a sort of barrier. when the barrier bursts into cubes and Natsu's fist plants into Midnight's face and slams him into the ground, shocking the Oracion Seis.
"How did he hit Midnight!?" The other members of the Oracion Seis yell, and the floored Midnight's eyes shoot open in pain, he kicks Natsu in response, pushing him back.
"How, how did you hit me!?" Midnight yells in shock, holding his face, then points a hand and finger at Natsu, and a whirlwind erupts from under him, everyone hears a growl of pain, when the whirlwind flickers with fire and burst into cubes, and they all see Natsu wreathed in flames with specks of white glittering through the flames, as bands of fire around his knees and wrists, and from his nape around down to his sternum.
(He's perfectly balancing Crash Magic and his Dragon Slayer Magic, now I truly understand what you said back then Gildarts; Natsu truly is a combat genius.) Erza thinks, and Cobra's eyes widen, as he dodges another sword slash, then a tornado encased fist, and Wendy jumps back.
"Midnight, be careful, Salamander is mixing his Dragon Slayer Magic with Crash Magic, he can counter your Reflector Magic!" Cobra yells, shocking the Oracion Seis, as he shoots a hand out and a floating purple snake that has been loosely coiled around him rushes out and bites Erza on the arm, leaving a glowing purple mark, the snake retracts only for Wendy to appear behind Erza, with her hand on Erza's back.
"Heal!" Wendy chants, and the purple mark disappears, Wendy then jumps back with her hand pointed at Erza. "Ile Arms, Ile Armor, Ile Vernier!" She chants, causing Erza to glow green and she speeds towards Cobra requipping into a heavy looking black and spiked armor, and giant spiked mace, swinging and actually clubbing him in the stomach, launching him back.
(That girl, she's the Sky Maiden, if I capture her, she can revive Jellal, after-all she owes him a debt, Ultear's spy network is finally coming in handy.) Brain thinks, as he jumps back dodging the black mist encased fist of Gray, with Natsu and Midnight, midnight jumps back and throws a hand out, using his magic to distort the air into a crescent shaped blade that launches at Natsu, but on impact with Natsu, the majority of the attack turns to cubes and dissipates, Natsu rushes at Midnight, and knees him in the stomach with a glowing white knee, launching Midnight back through some tree's, Natsu stalks towards him as Midnight gets up his eyes are bloodshot, he goes to throw a hand out, but Natsu just lands a glowing white fist wreathed in flames into his sternum, launching him back again, going through even more tree's, Midnight snarls getting up, creating a dozen whirlwinds, several dozen wind blades and launching them at Natsu, who just crashes right through it all, and Midnight only sees a silhouette with glowing red eyes, running towards him, scaring him for the first time in many years, Natsu bursts out of the final whirlwind.
"Blazing Empyrean!" Natsu yells, landing a glowing white fist wreathed in flames, into Midnight's chin, launching him into the sky, Natsu takes stock of where he's at and realizes he's quite a ways from the group, he rushes back, and is in time to see Wendy and Happy held by a green magic hand, and disappear into Brain's staff who charges up a strong spell with said staff, also noticing another line on his face is gone.
"Dark Rondo!" Brain yells, releasing a green and black Magic blast at the alliance member, Natsu throws a hand out and, releasing a crash magic net in front of the blast, but he also sees a wall of ice and rock appear in front of the alliance members, but the blast hits his net first and is crushed completely. Natsu runs to the group, and sees them getting up, as Ur, a slightly hurt Jura and, and a really hurt Ichiya run up, Ichiya pulls out a vial.
"We're battered but not out, take a whiff of my Painkiller Parfume, and let it ease you." Ichiya says, as the ones hurt, feel their aches and pains fade away, but they all hear growls of rage and feel extreme levels of heat, they look over and see Natsu trembling, up to his wrist is red as his fingers are clawed, and his eyes are currently purple, and the flames wreathing his body have turned blue.
"Natsu, calm down, I know Happy and Wendy were kidnapped, but flying off the handle, is not going to help them." Erza says, and Natsu ignores her, and walks into the forest, and a few minutes, they hear and see a large tree in the distance fall, and see what they realize is a large group of dark mages go flying, as they hear a roar of rage.
"What's wrong with him?" Lyon asks, kind of scared, and they all see Gray and Erza look down sad.
"Happy, the cat, is like a son to Natsu, same as our deceased guild member, Lisanna. Lisanna was Natsu's Mate, the Dragon term for Wife and Husband, Happy is all Natsu has left of his relationship with Lisanna, and is very protective of Happy." Erza explains.
"In simple terms, Oracion Seis, kidnapped Natsu's son, who is the last good link to his late wife. Now we're on a time table because if Natsu finds the Oracion Seis, before we do, he will kill them, and he will burn down this entire forest if he has to." Gray explains, no one notices the apprehensive look on Hibiki's face.
