Chapter 8: Operation: Delightful Distraction
On the dance floor, many of the OCs mentioned in this story enjoy dancing, talking, eating, and partying. Bunzo Bunny is on a bunny throne with MothFlare sitting on the left armrest and Tibbz lying on his lap like a dog. Bunzo is surrounded by Critters who congratulate him.
"Mayor Bunny, I'm very grateful you lead us for so on," said Sofia Hunter, from Mindyamy69155.
"I'm as colorful proud of you standing tall like a rainbow," said Pridy, made by Mindyamy69155.
Then Sendy by Mindyamy69155 said, "I'm on the verge of passing out from excitement."
"Easy, my dear Critters. You don't want to miss out on a performance that some newbies promised me," said Bunzo.
"I'm still testy on them. That raven has some nerve to talk to you like that, Mayor Bunny," said Tibbz.
"Speaking of the raven, here they come with their group," said MothFlare.
Everyone notices the Smiling Critters twirling their way onto the dance floor while the Nightmare Critters are growling for everyone's attention.
"Uh…What's with the growling?" Bunzo confused.
On the stage, the DayDream Critters are playing instruments. Baba Chops stared at Billy Shanks to determine what song to play for them. He got the message, and the DayDream Critters started playing Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) by Big Brovaz.
Nightmare Critters: Grrr... grr...grr…grrr… [The Nightmare Critters act like beasts while going on stage.]
Thank you, falettinme be mice elf agin [But when they show themselves, the spotlights shined on them to reveal them singing into microphones while swaying their bodies to the song.]
(Smiling Critters: Again) Again (Again) [The Smiling Critters raise their hands before putting their hands on their hips and then moving to the side.]
Rabie Baby: I never thought that I'd be on the cover of a magazine [Rabie begins to fly up for people down below to take her pictures.]
Everybody told me that I've must give it up on my dreams [When she spots Luke MeowLuck, she swoops down to stand next to him.]
(Smiling Girls: So I wanna) So I wanna thank you for letting me be me (letting me be me) [Luke shyly asks for Rabie's wing while his tail moves to the melody.]
(No matter) No matter what I do do do (do do do) [She happily held it so they can both fly together.]
(CatNap: Yeah) I'm gonna give the best of me, oh-woah (Uh-uh) [Rabie playfully bites and wraps Luke up with his tail and drops him in the arms of Cutie Bunny made by Astral_Onyx.]
Icky Licky with Smiling Boys in the background: All my dogs tell me where ya at (KickinChicken: Huh?) [Icky pointed to the Smiling Boys and male partygoers who respond with howling.]
And all my ladies gather 'round 'cause guess what? [He then pointed to the Smiling Girls and female partygoers who screamed, "Yeah!"]
Yes, y'all, we are back! (PickyPiggy: Again) [CatNap and DogDay grab hands as did Bubba and Kickin, to backflip over the Smiling Girls.]
Turn your speakers up a notch. (Bubba Bubbaphant: Yeah!) [The Girls put their hands in the middle so the Boys stack up.]
And let you base bump in you house till your neighbors start bop, haha (Hoppy Hopscotch: Again)[ The Girls lift their hands so the Boys go up.]
Touille with Smiling Boys in the background: Go ahead and express yourself (DogDay: Woah) [The Boys quadruple flip before they land behind the Girls with backs up against each other: DogDay and Crafty, CatNap and Bobby, Kickin and Hoppy, and Bubba and Picky.]
Nothing gets you higher than you get yourself (CatNap: yeah) [Touille does his rat meme dance while using his tail to hold his microphone.]
Look into the mind when they try to hold you down (nuh-uh) [After the Smiling Critters fist-up, they finger gun to the crowd.]
Sing along to the chorus when it come around, man [Everyone cheered that they go on the dance floor, surprising Bunzo, Tibbz and MothFlare.]
Nightmare Critters: Thank you, falettinme be mice elf (Simon Smoke: Yeah) agin [Meanwhile, the Frowning Critters and Dream Critters are in the elevator, who was able to step out of the shadows.]
(Smiling Critters: Again) (Simon: Once again) Again [Quickly, CatFeine uses her Twin Daggers to shoot at the security cameras in the elevator.]
Thank you, falettinme be mice elf (Simon: Yeah) agin ["Finally, we could get evidence on Mayor Bunny," she said.]
(Smiling Critters: Again) Again ["And get back at him for framing us as party poopers too," Groddy GrudgeBear.]
Allister Gator with Smiling Boys: Once again ["It hurts to be called that," Dogpressed cried.]
Uh, oh, uh, oh (Nightmare Critters: Grrrr) [Ben Horns hugged Dogpressed while saying, "It will be all over once we get our hands on the proof we need."]
Don't be scared, uh uh [Once the elevator door opens, Floppy FlopZee quickly blows out his Sleep Magic into the Sky Lounge just in case anybody was in there.]
I make up most as weirdo to most people [A couple of Fun Police fell to the ground and passed out.]
I don't know what they're so scared of me for (CraftyCorn: ooooh) [WimpinChicken takes out her Mirage Bow and fires light arrows to create an illusion that the cameras couldn't detect anything abnormal.]
When it's the same thing wherever we go [Easy Peasy does Glitch Control Magic onto the elevator to prevent it from going back down.]
They get hypnotized and sing what we flow ["Now, let's uncover everything you've got, Bunzo," said Bliss Teen, activating the Truth Revelation Magic.]
Poe with the Smiling Boys: You need some S in your soul. [At the party, Allister shakes his hips as Poe's wings appear behind his back.]
Believe me, let go, let us take control (Bobby BearHug: yeah) [Allister then begins to do the Alligator dance as Poe flew above so everyone can notice them.]
I'd like to speak to the peeps; it's the least I could do. [Poe starts circleing Bunzo, who looks confused while MothFlare wonders what they will do, and Tibbz gets wary.]
Cause if it wasn't for you freaks [Poe pointed their talons to Bunzo.]
It wouldn't be possible. [Bunzo seems interested in their claim, but MothFlare and Tibbz begin to feel suspicious about Poe.]
Maggie Mako with Smiling Girls: Thank you for letting me be [When Poe returns to the Nightmare Critters, they get off the stage to dance.]
What I wanted to be right from the start [Maggie side bumps Picky and grinned while holding side hugging her by the neck.]
You helped me make it for while [Rabie wraps CatNap's tail around her like a scarf to tease him, which he smiles off.]
I'm glad to be a part (Baba Chops: ooooh) of this great experience [DogDay held Baba's hips so they can dance, causing her to blush and faint in his arms.]
I'm so delirious that we made it this far [Crafty twirls her dress while Simon circles her, very smitten.]
Raise your hands up high [Bobby has her hands up while moving her hips, and Poe has their wings up while wiggling his body.]
It's S for life [Allister does the Toprock while Hoppy does the Downrock before they do the Freezes together.]
I thank my lucky stars [Kickin and Icky then do head spins together.]
Nightmare Critters: Thank you, falettinme be mice elf (Baba: Be myself) agin [Bubba and Touille to do the Scooby-Doo's begin dance to the song.]
(Smiling Critters: again) (Poe: yeah) (Rabie: ooh) Again [Bunzo said, "Perhaps I was wrong about the Smiling and Nightmare Critters being on to me."]
(Touille: once again) Thank you, falettinme be mice elf (Maggie: Be myself) agin [But then he noticed MothFlare and Tibbz were gone, and said, "MothFlare? Tibbz?"]
(Smiling Critters: again) (Icky: yeah) again [He then notices the two are on the dance floor.]
Baba: At the very start, we were like (DogDay: bark bark) [Baba is seen doing the Spin Pose while DogDay barks behind her with his face on the left and his hands on her hips.]
And now we're like (woof woof) [She then does the Over-the-Shoulder Pose while DogDay switches his face with his hands still on her hips.]
Party people who don't give a (woof) [DogDay gets in front Baba so they can high-five.]
Raise the roof, roof, roof [Then they gesture to their Critter Crews to come together.]
Move up to a higher level. [They came to them by doing the Moonwalk.]
Now gettin' more back from our supporting people. [Then they held hands before breaking it to spin.]
With the Smiling Girls: So I say (woof) [They point toward the Zodiac Critters, who finger fun back.]
All the haters who wouldn't believe in us, and I say (woof) [The Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters then pointed to the Magical Critters, who waved in response.]
All the people who told us we couldn't bust so (bark bark) (CatNap: Good boy.) [The Daydream Critters turn up the sound system to make even livelier.]
Here we are now (woof) (yeah) [The Smiling Critters do their signature poses.]
Blowing up now (bark) (uh) [The Nightmare Critters does theirs too.]
(Simon: Uh) I just wanna thank you again, yeah (yep) [Everyone on the dance floor begins at Scooby Doo: Monsters Unleash Dance scene.]
Simon: Best that we back at it. [Everyone was so happy that they completely ignored Bunzo.]
When we came to the party, we cause havock (Crafty: we cause havock) to bring magic ["Hey, now! What about my party?!" he shouted.]
We knew we was gonna make it [Bunzo glared at the Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters who took the dance's lead. ]
Because we just too real that we can't fake, we heartbreak it [Simon flies upward as he sings in his mic.]
With the Smiling Boys: See, me being me is the thing I adore (oooh) [With Tibbz and MothFlare, Simon gets in front of everyone to the wiggle.]
I ain't never ever had to change before [The three then held the back of their heads to move them four times.]
I keep it real for my dogs. [As they do it, everyone puts their hands up and sways them to the sides.]
Make 'em up, jump on the floor [Simon turned over the Bunzo to pull down the lower part of his right eye and stick out his tongue.]
From the front to the back [Bunzo begins to foam at the mouth in jealousy.]
(oooh) I make 'em walk, walk, walk, so yeah. [The Smiling and Nightmare Critters then head to the stage to continue their dance.]
(Simon: Go, go.) Nightmare Critters: Thank you, falettinme (Crafty: let me) be mice elf (Be myself) (DogDay: yeah) agin ["I don't think I like these Smiling and Nightmare spotlight stealers," Bunzo mumbled.]
(CatNap: Once again) Smiling Girls: Again, again, again, yeah [The Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters jump into the crowd to be carried.]
Nightmare Critters: Again [Back in the Sky Longue, the Frowning Critters and Dream Critters go through the bed and office areas to find the evidence.]
Smiling Girls: Again, again, again, yeah ["Floppy, get off of the bed," IckyPiggy yelled.]
Smiling Critters: Thank you(Rabie: Thank you), falettinme be mice elf(Maggie: Be myself) agin (Touille: yeah!) ["Not my fault it feels good," said Floppy, does a bed-angel on it.]
Nightmare Girls: Again, again, again ["Well, this book I found isn't helpful," said Dumbba Dumbbaphant, holding Bunzo Bunny's diary.]
Smiling Critters: Again (Kickin: Once again, boy) (Hoppy: oooh!) ["Wait! That's Bunzo's diary. Good work, Dumba," said UniqueCorn, takes it.]
Nightmare Girls: Again, again, again [The Frowning and Dream Critters come together and reads it.]
Smiling and Nightmare Critters: Thank you,(Bobby: Thank you) falettinme (let me) (Allister: woo!) be mice elf (Be myself) agin (Poe: yes!) ["So, we were right. Bunzo is working with the Prototype to use his mind controlling cymbals to prevent our followers from remembering their duties," said WimpinChickin.]
Again, again, again, yeah (Bubba: It's good!) ["We got the proof. Time to spread all over," Sally Sodden points to the computer.]
Again (Picky: again again) (Crafty: wooo) [Easy Peasy sed her Glitch Control Magic and hacked into the computer.]
Again, again, again, yeah (Icky: It's so good, yeah) (Baba: woooo) [Her friends and the Frowning Critters go to her to watch.]
Thank you, falettinme(Rabie: let me) (Allister: woo) be mice elf agin ["There's even voice diaries that matched everything in Bunzo's Diary," said Matt Mako.]
Again, again, again, yeah (Simon: It's our party right here) ["Ooh, ho ho ho. Soon, Bunzo will learn what will happen when you mess with the descendants of the Critters," Virginie laughed.]
Again ["Hey, I found the security footage for the Terrance. Maybe we can check how the Smiling and Nightmare Critters are doing," said Easy Peasy, continuing to type.]
Again, again, again, yeah (Bobby: thank you) [When she pulls up the footage, the two Critter Crews see the other two Critter Crews being tossed up into the air by the crowd.]
Thank you. ["Well, at least, they're having fun and being good distractions," said Lee.]
"And right on cue, when the music ends, Bunzo gets out of his seat to complain," said Coco Crocodile.
Once the Smiling Critters and Nightmare Critters got back on their feet, everyone cheered for their performance as Bunzo Bunny walked over.
"Thank you. You're all so kind," said Bobby.
"We're here till Sunday. Try the shade," Poe laughed.
"Hey! What kind of performance was that?!" Bunzo yelled.
"It was a song in your honor? I thought you liked it, Mayor," said Picky.
"Yes, until you made everyone forget the party's purpose."
"Now, Mayor Bunny, everyone was just having fun," said Bubba.
"Yeah, why can't you just be cool?" Kickin added.
"What?! I am the ultimate party animal here," said Bunzo.
"Tch, yeah right. You're too old to be one," said Icky.
"Ooooo," the onlookers said.
"I'm like in my 20s," said Bunzo.
"Nah, man. That's so old comparing to everyone," said Allister.
"Hey, Nightmare Critters. What gives?" Hoppy whispered.
"Just let us talk. We still need to keep distracted for the plan," Touille whispered.
"Face it, old man. We are the real party animals," said Rabie.
"Ooooo," the onlookers commented.
"I have run this city for five years, and my parties are always on top," Bunzo shouted.
"Because you have a party hat on? How lame," said Simon.
"That's it! You and me, dragon! Party-off!"
"Party-off! Party-off! Party-off!" the onlookers chant.
"Ah, well. Suppose it's what everyone wants. Daydreamers, move the music over!" Baba said.
"Coming your way," said Daydream Critters, pushing a giant stereo.
"Don't mind me and my Critters; we're just going to be over here," said DogDay, getting on top of the stereo.
CatNap got on his lap like a cat and said, "We need rest after all that dancing."
DogDay wagged his tail to pet CatNap, which made Baba and Rabie grow jealous.
Crafty sat on the small left stereo, leaning on the big one, and said, "We'll cheer you on while bopping our heads to the tempo of the music."
Kickin sits on the right small stereo, putting his left foot on it while letting his other leg swing. Hoppy leans on his stereo while she holds Bobby by the side. Bubba stands by the small stereo with his arms crossed, and Picky holds his right shoulder.
"Heh, good here, Princess. Hey, Daydreamers! Come on over here," said Simon.
The Daydream Critters came over to the Nightmare Critters and said, "Yes?"
The Nightmare Critters whispered something in their ears while Tibbz and MothFlare went to Bunzo.
"Mayor Bunny, are you alright?" MothFlare asks.
"Want me to kick them out for ya?" Tibbz asks.
"No, they'll think I'm a coward. I will stand my ground and prove that I'm the best party animal," said Bunzo.
"Song request approved," said Billy Shanks, as Simon hands him a disc.
"Hold on! Why are we going to party with your song and me adding mine?!"
"Sheesh, you're acting like party pooper," Baba commented.
The onlookers gasped in shock, which steamed Bunzo red.
"Daydream Critters!" Bunzo yelled.
They said with worry, "Yes, Mayor Bunny."
"Play my favorite song as well. The spotlight isn't just for one. I'm not merciful at any musical battle, so prepare yourself."
"Bring it on, Bunny boy," said the Nightmare Critters.
Easy Peasy then said, while closing the footage before hacking even more, "I think that's enough watching. It's time to create broadcast news."
