Ninja Chill Time

At the Monastery it has been two months after the Oni Attack and right now, Melissa was in her room and doing some target practice on a dart board, with Harumi's picture in the middle of the target as she missed a few times before she hit her on the cheeks.

"Nice! Now let's see if I can hit between the eyes." Melissa said with a smirk as she grabbed a small knife and aimed her target.

Just then Nya entered the room. "Hey Melis- WOAH!" she yelled out when Melissa threw her knife and nearly hit Nya as the Water Ninja duck to avoid it as it stabbed a wall.

Melissa's eyes widened when she realized she nearly hit Nya. "O-Oh! Sorry, Nya! You startled me." She said to her.

"Target practice on Harumi's picture again?" Nya guessed.

"Yeah. And you know better than to startle me when I'm targeting practice." Melissa said to her. "And that throw knife was one for example."

"Yeah, I can tell." Nya said with a cringe. "But how are you feeling after you and Lloyd got back together?"

"Well, after we restarted our relationship after that near death with the Oni and nearly losing Lloyd, things are going fine." Melissa said with a smile. "I mean, after we stopped Garmadon, we had a talk to take things easy at first, but after the Oni thing, it kinda pushed us back up."

"See, I told you that everything works out after you two just talked." Nya said with a smile. "Especially since you keep chickening out every time you try to tell him you wanna get back together."

"You chicken out when you dump Jay. I was taking it slow after the whole Sons of Garmadon thing." Melissa pointed out.

"You were a sad mess throughout the whole Oni thing because you were too afraid to talk to Lloyd." Nya told her.

"You think that's sad? You should've been in the First Realm." Melissa said with her arm raised as she crossed her arms. "I was going through a mood back there at the time."

"Like how you nearly lost your mind and attacked Kai" Nya asked as Melissa's eyes widened by that.

"The guys told you, didn't they?" Melissa muttered with a sigh.

"Mostly Jay." Nya said.

"Remind me to give him my treatment later." Melissa muttered before turning away from Nya with a guilty look. "But after all that, when we got back home, at first, we were taking it slow, from how we both experience during Garmadon's take over and me and the others marooned in the First Realm, but after the Oni trouble, it kinda regain that push back, but I still feel bad for not hearing Lloyd out, and for what I said to him."

"To be honest, I was like that when Jay and Cole, well you know." Nya said to her. "So I kinda understand what you were going through."

"But Lloyd didn't cheat, I just didn't listen." Melissa said with guilt. "And he suffered for it."

"And how's that any different when you babbled out my secret to Jay when I didn't tell him the truth when he got mad?" Nya asked, which made Melissa cringe a bit.

"I already apologized to you for that and admitted that I was wrong and it was a lot harder than it seemed." Melissa told her.

"But that proves my point that every couple gets mad at each other and won't listen to reason." Nya said to her. "So it was natural. Especially after Harumi played both you and Lloyd. She planned this out, so it's mostly her fault."

Melissa nodded in agreement. "Yeah, but at least everything is fixed now and Lloyd and I are back together." She said with a smile.

"Yeah." Nya said with a smile before giving a teasing smirk. "And who knows, we might hear wedding bells and possibly see little baby feet on the ground pretty soon."

Melissa blushed a bit from that. "W-We're not ready for that road yet! We're just taking it slow!" She said in embarrassment.

"Yeah I know, I was just teasing." Nya said with a chuckle. "Now, the guys are making a challenge on some video games and whoever loses gets to pay for the pizza, you wanna be part of it?"

Melissa gave a small smirk. "Sure thing. That bet is always entertaining." She said as the two girls left the room.

In the living room, the guys are in the living room while Kai and Jay are playing the video game while the others are chanting to their bet players as the girls enter the room. "Alright, so who's facing Kai and beating him this time?" Melissa asked.

"Jay is, and as you predicted, Kai is losing and is about to throw a fit." Cole said with a chuckle.

"Come on! Come on!" Kai called out as he was mashing his controller while Jay gave a laugh.

"Just you wait, Kai! I'm about to beat your record!" Jay cheered on.

"Jay is a video game guy." Nya said with a smile.

"When isn't he?" Melissa asked with a chuckle. "And I am betting a hundred and fifty on Jay." She said as she placed the money on the table.

"Oh, it is on sista." Nya said with a smirk.

"You really love to bet on people, huh?" Lloyd asked his girlfriend with a smirk.

"What can I say, I sometimes love to gamble." Melissa said with a smirk before a beeping sound was heard.

"God fucking damn it!" Kai shouted.

"Yahoo! I win!" Jay called with his arms raised while Kai slouched in defeat.

"Alrighty, whoever betted in Jay, you win." Cole said as the others all shared a laugh together while Kai joined in as he laughed as well.

"So it looks like Kai is going to be paying for the pizza." Zane noted.

"Well, I haven't beaten Melissa yet." Kai gestures to the Master of Darkness. "If I beat her then she will pay for the pizza!"

"Are you sure it's smart of you to challenge me?" Melissa asked with a smirk.

"Yeah, Kai, I don't think that is a wise choice." Lloyd advised with a small smile. "Are you sure you can beat her?"

"I know I can." Kai said confidently. "She's probably not that good at this game anyway."

"Oh it is on, Flame Boy!" Melissa said as she sat down and grabbed the controller as they began to play the game.

And to the surprise of absolutely nobody, Melissa won against Kai, much to the dismay of the Fire Ninja as she looked at him with a smirk. "So, I'm not good at this game, huh?" She asked tauntingly.

Kai groaned as the others all laughed in amusement. "Fine. You beat me. And I guess I have to pay for the pizza, huh?" He questioned with a small smile.

"Yeah, pretty much, hehehehe." Nya said with a chuckle.

"Ahh, now this is the life." Jay said with a smile. "No evil group, no evil Princesses, no Dragon Hunters, no Oni, and no trouble, just us kicking back and re-lax-ing!"

"You said it, Jay." Cole said while slurping on his straw hat. "Now this is so worth the wait after that crazy adventure."

"Tell me about it." Lloyd said in agreement.

"Yeah, frankly that whole adventure is something I'd rather forget about." Melissa said as she took a sip of her drink.

"Amen to that." Nya nodded.

"Not me. I managed to secure all of our events and--" Zane tried to stay.

"It's an expression, Zane." Melissa said with a dull look.

"Come on, Melissa, that adventure wasn't as bad as it seems." Jay said as everyone, more specifically Lloyd and Melissa, gave him a look which made him remember the event they wanted to forget. "Oh, uh, right. Sorry." He muttered with a sheepish look.

"Uh, yeah. I'm gonna make the order now." Kai said as he rushed out of the room after seeing the tension.

"Okay, new rule, we can talk about the whole Sons of Garmadon and Oni incident, but let's leave out You-Know-Who and the You-Know-What, agreed?" Cole suggested.

"Agreed." The others all said in unison.

"So, while we wait for the pizza, what do you guys wanna do next?" Nya asked.

"Well, how about some Uno?" Melissa asked, holding up a packet of Uno cards.

Sometime later, they were all gathered around playing some Uno as Jay kept picking up more and more cards. "What is this fucking game?! Give me a green card!" Jay yelled in rage as the others laughed, he then picked up another card and saw it was green. "AHHHHAHA!!!! FINALLY! A GREEN!" He cheered as he placed the Green down.

Melissa laughed as she then put down a green reverse, meaning Jay has to go again. "Your turn again, Jay." She said with a smirk as Jay's eyes widened from that.

"WHAT?!" Jay called out as he looked at his pack of cards as he still had no green.

"Boy, you really can't win this huh?" Kai asked with a smirk before Jay then started breathing heavily.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!" Jay shouted in rage as he tossed his deck away and tossed the game away as the others looked surprised by this as Jay crossed his arms with a huff. "This game stinks!"

The others were silent before they just bursted out laughing again at what just happened. "Oh… oh God… I was so evil for doing that!" Melissa laughed while clutching her stomach.

"Ahahaha, oh man! You sure did!" Lloyd laughed.

"Who knew you were a sore loser, Jay!" Cole laughed.

"Yeah, and you wanna know what makes it better?" Kai asked with a laugh. "I was after Jay, and I had one card left and it was green!"

Jay's eyes widened from that as he gave a groan and slouch in defeat as the others shared another amusing laugh. "So frankly, you would've lost either way, Jay!" Cole laughed.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up!" Jay said, rolling his eyes.

Then they heard the doorbell. "Hey, the Pizza's here. I'll get it." Kai said as he rushed off.

"And Cole, try not to hog it." Nya advised with a smirk.

"Hey!" Cole said in offense.

Kai then came back with the pizza. "Alright, it's Pizza Time!" He announced as he placed the box down and they began to have some pizza.

Once the pizza was finished, the Ninja then sat back with their stomachs filled. "Now that was delicious." Kai said with a smile.

"You said it." Cole said with a smile while patting his stomach.

"Indeed." Zane said in agreement.

"Yeah." Nya said with a nod.

Lloyd then sat up and looked at the others. "So, what should we all do now?" He asked.

"How about we watch our movie again?" Jay suggested.

"We've watched it too many times, Jay." Kai said tiredly.

"Well, what about a different movie?" Jay asked.

"I'm fine with that." Cole said with a shrug. "As long as Jay's not picking."

"You guys go pick a movie, I'm gonna put the cards away." Melissa said as she grabbed the Uno cards. "BRB guys." She said as she went to her room.

Melissa entered her room and put the cards in one of her drawers and she was about to go back to the others, but then she stopped and looked at the picture of Harumi with a stern, yet upset look.

"I may hate you for what you did, but even I have to admit, you did not deserve your fate." Melissa said softly as she gave a sigh. "If only things were different." She said as she was about to leave her room.

But then Melissa stopped when she felt something off, she looked around and saw everything glitching and moving. "W-What the? What's happening?" She said nervously before everything turned black as her head hit something.

Back with the others, they were still trying to pick a movie to watch. "Okay, how about The Lion King?" Kai suggested.

"Nah, not in the mood to sing." Lloyd said, shaking his head.

"Transformers?" Cole asked.

"Nah, too much sci-fi." Nya said.

"Not to mention I hated when most of the Autobots kept getting killed in each movie." Kai added.

"Very unnerving." Zane added with a shudder.

"That's why I like Transformers One better than the Michael Bay movies." Lloyd admitted.

"Agreed." Jay said in agreement.

"Oooh! How about How to Train Your Dragon?" Cole suggested. "I mean, we all loved dragons."

"That… actually doesn't sound like a bad idea." Kai admitted with a smile.

"Yeah, I love Hiccup and Astrid's relationship." Nya said with a smile.

"Reminds you of you and Jay, huh, sis?" Kai teased.

"... Maybe." Nya said sheepishly as her cheeks turned red.

"Wait, am I the Hiccup?" Jay asked.

"You do kinda share similarities." Zane said with a smile.

"Alright, it is settled, we are watching How to Train Your Dragon." Lloyd said with a smile as the others nodded in agreement.

But then Nya realized something. "Wait, what's taking Melissa so long? Shouldn't she be back by now?" She asked.

"Yeah, it shouldn't take that long to put away some cards." Kai said in confusion.

"That is troublesome." Zane noted while rubbing his chin.

"I'll go check on her to see if she's okay." Lloyd said as he got up and went to Melissa's room and knocked on the door. "Melissa? Are you okay in there?" He asked hoping to hear Melissa's voice, but nothing and this got him worried. "Alright, I'm coming in." He said as he opened the door, but when he did he was surprised to see a body on the ground, but it's not Melissa. "Uh, guys, you might wanna see this!" He called out.

The others rushed in and saw it was a different girl who was wearing a Purple Gi while the girl had auburn hair while sporting a ponytail as they all looked in surprise by this. "Since when did Melissa get a new look?" Jay asked as the others gave him disbelief looks. "What?"

"No, I know Melissa and, that's not Melissa." Lloyd said, looking at the girl on the floor.

"Is she dead?" Kai asked.

"Her vitals are okay and I detect a heartbeat. She is alive, but unconscious." Zane said after scanning her.

"Help me get her on Melissa's bed." Lloyd said as they helped the mysterious girl up. "When she wakes up, we'll get some answers and find out what happened to Melissa." He said as they nodded as they walked off to Melissa's room to find out who this mysterious girl is and what happened to Melissa.

A/N: And that was Ninja Chill Day, and it seems like the Ninja are just hanging around and just relaxing after that Oni attack, but it seems like something happened with Melissa and now this mysterious girl has appeared in her place, but who is this mysterious girl?
