Update

Everyone still here?

Hi to whoever is still hanging around after all these years. What has it been, 10 years or so? Wow.

Firstly, I want to apologise to everyone who expected this next chapter after all this time, only to be disappointed with a message.

I would have given you the next chapter if I had it. Although it was never completed, I had so much written not just for the next chapter, but for a lot of the future story. The only part I have left is a few hundred words of not much I found on an old drive. The rest is on a laptop that gone thrown out a long time ago.

Now, to what I want to say. Thank you to everyone who read and reviewed and followed this story. I both love and hate what I've written. It was my first attempt at writing a fully fleshed out novel, but the task I took on was far too much for me to ever hope to complete. I had so many ideas and tried to fit all of them in, ending up with me getting lost in what I was trying to do.

The ultimate plot, if you could call it that, was Harry eventually winning the World Cup through trials and tribulations galore in the Quidditch world.

I haven't been back here in ten years, but I've thought about this story so many times. It will never be completed in its current version.

Writing block got its grip into me as well. I haven't written much of anything in all this time, but the bug is coming back to me.

So, if anyone is still interested, I have a few ideas and I want to get yours too. I love the idea of Harry becoming a professional Quidditch player. It's different to most stories you see, and I always wanted to read something like this, which is why I wrote Style and Brutality in the first place.

I've been toying with re-writing this, but the problem with that is it would probably look completely different. So, how would you feel about a new Quidditch story with far less meandering writing? I have a bit more free time now than I've had in years, so I can write a little here and there.

I have a plot that I started scribbling down in work, and found I couldn't stop fleshing it out. I'm thinking of importing a few characters from this that I created.

So, long story short, I'm planning on publishing an entirely new Quidditch story, that won't be as long as this. Or combining a new story and keeping some elements of this. Or re-writing this so it's shorter and a lot of the rubbish is thrown out…

My writing is rusty, to put it both mildly and kindly. I was never that talented to start with and with an absence of ten years I feel I'm back to square one.

I realise I'm rambling now, so I'll end it here.

Thank you all once again.
