Chapter 11 Modern Warfare
It's been several weeks since the invasion of Wakanda by HYDRA and Orochimaru.
And Since T'Chaka had opened up to his nephew about what truly happened to his father who had no idea his father was the reason Wakanda was attacked.
After that he opened up to the world about the true Wakanda to make a better difference in the world knowing it was time for the world to come together.
Right now though.
Sean was at SAS with Killmonger.
"SAS? I had some missions with them back then." Killmonger said.
"SAS and SHIELD have a lot of close ties. Hell some of their best were there during of Naboo." Sean said as they made it to a training facility.
"Well, it's been a long time son." Price said.
"Lieutenant." Sean said.
"It's captain now." Price said.
"Damn." Sean said.
"Whats going on here?" Killmonger asked seeing someone rushing through.
"New Recruit, John Mactavish, Goes by Soap." Price said making them laugh.
"The hell kind of a code name is Soap?" Killmonger asked before feeling a knife on his throat making him stop.
"Cause I clean up all the bad guys." Soap said making Sean laugh.
"Shit." Killmonger said amused as it went away.
"Nice work." Sean said.
"Pleasure sir." Soap said shaking his hand.
"Now then." Sean said pulling up a hologram of a cargo ship. "We have a mission. SHIELD has been tracking irregularities in shipping containers from Russia to the Middle East. Makarov and Zakeve wanna know whats going on." Sean said.
"Who's our backup besides you?" Price asked.
"Jinora for one. She's very eager to get involved." Sean said making him chuckle.
"And probably spite her old man from what we've heard." Gaz said making them laugh.
"True enough. Along with Itachi and Kakashi as well." Sean said.
"What about Transformers?" Price asked.
"Seaspray is the only one available at the moment." Sean said.
"All right then. Let's get moving shall we?" Price said.
Later
A chopper was heading to the Cargo ship with the team inside.
"So I hear you were going to be a teacher." Crysis said to Kakashi who chuckled sheepishly.
"Well, I would have...If my team actually passed." Kakashi said.
"What do you mean if?" Erik asked.
"They have to pass a test by everyone of my rank in order to become Genin. Mine on the other hand failed since they were too short sighted to work together." Kakashi said.
"High expectations sir?" Soap asked.
"Well, If they can't work together how are they supposed to depend on one another in a life or death situation?" Kakashi asked.
"He's got a point." Jinora said in some unique black armor. (Look up Jinora's battle armor on my DA account Dragonlord012)
"Well, you fit into that perfectly. Shuri's work?" Sean asked figuring his wife would make something like that.
"Yup. And it comes with its own surprises." Jinora said.
"All right enough chitchat." Price said as they arrived.
"See ya." Jinora said jumping down.
"Girl's got guts." Erik said.
"And to think she used to be a major bookworm back then." Crysis said as his armor appeared before jumping down before shooting the men inside the bridge.
"Clear." Price said as they moved forward.
"We're not just gonna kill anyone right?" Jinora asked.
"We don't know who's a threat or not. But we can't take chances." Erik said seeing someone come out drunk making them stop as he mumbled something in German before Jinora airbended him outside hard making him land in the ocean.
"Damn. I heard of Airbending but seeing it." Soap said.
"I thought the Air Nation was long gone?" Erik asked.
"Gone? Yes. It's people entirely? No. Theres only three left. Her, Her sister Ikki and her bastard father Tenzin." Price said.
"Whats with all the hate on him?" Erik asked.
"My so called father was responsible for what happened to Korra when he wanted her to be more like my grandfather instead of accepting her for herself." Jinora said.
"Oh." Erik said understanding.
Moving forward Crysis saw movement before a sniper riffle appeared.
"Two guards up top." Crysis said aiming at one.
"Mark." Price said as they both shot them.
"Clear." Gaz said as they moved forward.
"Hold up." Erik said seeing movement up top.
"I got this." Jinora said before making large whirlwinds before dashing it forward making them yell as they flew out into the ocean.
"Holy shit." Gaz said.
"Let me guess? Your armor enhances your air bending?" Itachi asked.
"Bingo. Shuri's making some for Korra too." Jinora said as they moved inside.
"I got heat signatures." Crysis said scanning through his visor.
"I got this." Erik said rushing in before shooting them all easily before they could even get a shot.
"Damn." Kakashi said impressed.
"Now you see why they call him Killmonger." Price said as they made it to a container.
"Hold it." Crysis said scanning it. "Oh this is not good." Crysis said opening seeing nuclear signs and a container.
"Tell me that is not what I think it is." Jinora said in shock.
"It's a nuke." Crysis said before pulling out another device before firing making it shrink.
"At least Pym trusts you enough to let you have that." Price said.
"Yeah." Crysis said before they left.
Later
"Incredible." Hank Pym said inspecting the bomb.
"How dangerous is it?" Sean asked.
"Let me put it to you this way. If this went off in a city like New York...The blast would be three times the size of the one on Japan." Hank said.
"How the hell did they get this?" Soap asked.
"Uh...Sean?" Hank said showing an symbol they knew too well.
"HYDRA." Sean said frowning.
"Zemo is back in action again already after that botched invasion?" Gaz asked.
"They're trying to create tensions between us and the east." Price said.
"But how did they make the materials to make a nuke?" Jinora asked.
"You're forgetting something. Both galaxies are allied now. We're mapping out ours while the other is only half mapped out." Sean siad.
"And I'm willing to be theres nuclear materials on the unknown regions." Soap said.
"Yup. Hence why Tony restarted the Starlight beacon project last year." Sean said remembering how approved that idea was.
"But how did they get past our security to bring it to Earth?" Price asked.
"Space bridge tech. While mostly used by SHIELD it is used for civilians and that tech may have been copied by them." Sean said.
"And it's not Illegal to use for anywhere else since Transformers use it everywhere. There are fields that prevent it from being used in military bases though unless they have special codes." Hank said.
"Right." Price said as they left.
"So the Nuke came from HYDRA just to stir up trouble." Jinora said.
"Not surprised." Sean said.
"JINORA!"
"Oh no." Jinora groaned seeing her father rush in looking furious.
"Where is she?" Tenzin asked.
"Can I help you old man?" Price asked.
"Where is my daughter?" Tenzin asked as Sean came out. "You." Tenzin said glaring at him.
"Long time fuckface." Sean said making him sputter while Gaz and the others laughed.
"Oh so this is the bastard who traumatized the Avatar." Soap said.
"I had nothing to do with that. Yes I admit it was my words that caused it but that is all. I did not tell them to do that." Tenzin said.
"But you still caused it. You know whats happened since then? Korra doesn't trust people so freely because of that. Takes her weeks to lower her guard before she'll even begin to trust them." Sean said making him close his eyes.
"I have tried to apologize..." Tenzin tried to say.
"Like hell you have." Jinora said coming out shocking him at her new look. "What?" Jinora asked annoyed.
"You...What happened to you. You look like a thug." Tenzin said making her scoff.
"This...Is the real me. The little girl you knew that was never me." Jinora said.
"What are you talking about?" Tenzin asked confused.
"That little girl who always did everything you told her was someone who was willing to sacrifice her desires just to make her so called father happy. That was never the real me." Jinora said making him widen his eyes.
"Jinora." Tenzin said.
"Just get out. And don't call me your little girl anymore. That person is long gone. Like you should be. I don't want anything to do with you anymore. So piss off." Jinora said shocking him as she left.
"Damn." Erik said as Tenzing lowered his head in shame.
"I...Never..." Tenzin tried to say before Sean led him away.
"Listen. I understand you wanna keep her safe." Sean said shutting the door. "I got two little sisters who last year came out of test tubes." Sean said confusing him. "It's a long story. Point is I know you wanna keep her safe...But you gotta let her be herself and do what she wants in her life...Otherwise you'll never get a chance to reconcile." Sean said making him sigh.
"How did it all go so wrong? I made one dumb mistake and it led to a slew of other events." Tenzin said.
"True. But the best option you can do is just let her be herself. What about the other one? Ikki?" Sean asked.
"She was more understanding. Is...Jinora...Happy?" Tenzin asked cautiously.
"Very. She's proud of what she does. Hell we just came back from a mission securing a high risk objective and she was a major help. She's good." Sean said.
"I know your line of work is brutal...Has she..." Tenzin asked concerned.
"Killed anyone? Yes. But only when she needed too. Not because she wanted to. She knows the line between necessity and indulgence. Korra too. Her first kill...Oh yeah. It was rough but it was for everyone...But she got past it quick." Sean said making him sigh.
"Please just keep her safe." Tenzin said.
"I don't need to. She's good as is." Sean said leaving.
Later
"You cannot be fucking serious." David seeing seeing Al-Asad kill President Fulani on national television.
"Theres a warmonger for ya." Korra said.
"This isn't gonna be good. Al-Fulani was a respected leader in the Republic and SHIELD and had good ties with Wakanda after they came out about their society." Gaz said.
"We'll get back at him eventually. Right now we got new orders from up on high." Price said before the screens showed two men with three stars. Ross and Shepherd.
"Ross, Shepherd." Sean said.
"Good to see you again son. Now, Recent intel suggests one of our informants has been captured. Nikolai." Shepherd said.
"We can't afford to lose him. If HYDRA is making problems they need to be stopped now. We got enough to worry about. Last thing we need is infighting here." Ross said.
"Just point the way old man." Jinora said making her smirk.
"Now thats a good attitude. Russian loyalists will be assisting you." Ross said.
Later
The team which consisted of Crysis, Keizer, Price, Soap, Gaz, Jinora, Temari and Ward were In Russia.
Temari also had her own battle armor on her. (Look up Temari's battle armor on my DA profile Dragonlord012)
"Right let's move up. Loyalists are waiting for us." Price said
"Loyalists huh? Are they the good Russians or the bad ones?" Temari asked.
"Well, they won't shoot us on sight if thats what you're asking." Crysis said making Ward chuckle.
"Good enough for me." Jinora said before seeing a Ultranationalist taking a drag before she snuck up behind him covering his mouth before snapping his neck before shooting two others with a silencer.
"Damn." Temari said impressed.
"At this rate she may just become a member of the Crysis unit." Crysis said before spotting five heat signatures before pulling out his own snipper rifle firing at them with perfect accuracy.
"Move forward." Price said as they moved inside the house out into a field.
"What is that smell?" Temari asked.
"Kamarov." Crysis said before said man came out.
"Hello my friends." Kamarov said.
"Been a while." Crysis said as more loyalists came out.
"Since the War on Cybertron. But never mind that now. The Enemy is up the hill firing on villages." Kamarov said about to lead them.
"Not so fast. You're with us. Remember Iacon?" Crysis said making him scoff in amusement.
"I suppose I owe you that." Kamarov said leading them.
"What happened in Iacon?" Temari asked.
"Oh he kinda screwed him over." Ward said.
"Not intentionally mind you." Keizer said.
Rushing to a sniping position they saw tanks firing rockets at other villages.
"I don't understand. Why are they killing their own people?" Temari asked.
"Because they're idiots. They don't support the government for choices it makes and thinks the East is being treated unfairly. Though not without reason but thats not true. Both them and the East are aligned because of similar beliefs." Crysis said.
"Now then." Kamarov said before they laid down sniper fire as Temari took out a more advanced one from her back before firing on them with perfect accuracy.
"Well, I see the sand girl is sniper material." Gaz said making her grin.
"Long range fighting is my thing." Temari said getting a head shot on the next one.
Thats when Attack choppers arrived.
"You never mentioned attack choppers." Ward said.
"I never said there wouldn't be any either." Kamarov said.
"Kamarov, if you fuck us over again." Crysis said annoyed.
"Relax my friends. You will get your informant. Come we must move to the other side.
"Want me to just kick his ass?" Jinora asked.
"Hold off on that." Price said as they moved with Kamarov while Temari stayed behind laying down cover fire.
Rushing to the other side Crysis and Keizer started firing on the enemy before one with a rocket launcher shot at them.
Only for Jinora to airbend it back at them making them scream as they blew up.
"Holy fuck!" Gaz yelled laughing.
"Damn Jinora. You'd make the old Air nation terrified if they saw that." Keizer said making her grin.
"Out with the old. In with the new." Jinora said.
"There the final assault has begun. If you continue laying down Sniper support..." Kamarov tried to say before Jinora airbended him into the wall.
"Enough sniping! Where is our informant? I'm running out of patience fuck stick!" Jinora yelled strangling him.
"Oooh. Yeah she's really pissed because of her old man." Gaz said.
"That house! The house at the south end of the village!" Kamarov said as she let go.
"Jinora...We're gonna have a talk later. But for now let's get moving." Crysis said as they jumped down.
"I was just sick and tired of him wasting our time." Jinora said.
"I know...But thats not why you did that and you know it. Like I said. We'll talk later." Crysis said as they moved on the house.
"Cutting power." Ward said doing so before they moved in.
Jinora seeing one of the men walking past her grabbed his mouth before slitting his throat making him gasp before dying.
Crysis moved up seeing two men before shooting them quickly before finding the target.
"Hey Nik." Crysis said picking him up.
"Good to see you my friend." Nikolai said as they rushed out as a gunship arrived picking the team up as Temari rushed down to them before they took off.
"Sean...I." Jinora tried to say.
"Relax. It happens. But remember to keep your personal issues out of the field. Otherwise you could mess up." Sean said.
"Relax kid. It happens more than you think." Price said.
"Have your allies attacked Al-Asad?" Nikolai asked.
"Not for another few hours. Why?" Crysis asked.
"They are making a huge mistake. They will never take him alive." Nikolai said.
Meanwhile
Above Sadia Arabia stood a Venator class star destroyer before several gunships began departing from the bottom.
In one of them was Erik and T'Challa.
"Ready for this?" Erik asked making him nod.
"Just don't fall behind cousin." T'Challa said.
"Me fall behind? This is my field you're talking about now." Erik said.
"If you guys are done." Reznov said as his armor appeared. "Let's get this done. The Senate wants him brought back for a trial." Thunder said.
"Understood commander. My men are under your command." Lieutenant Vasquez said.
"Good. Bo-Katen your people are our air support." Thunder said.
"Understood." Bo said before they started firing on enemy forces making them yell in surprise.
"GO!" Thunder yelled jumping down as troops began to land before taking heavy fire. Or at least their version of heavy fire since they were better equipped.
"FIRE!"
Suddenly they took rockets from above.
"You're free to move forward."
"Copy that." Thunder said moving into one of the buildings before firing on Enemy forces as T'Challa rushed in taking out some before Erik shot the rest.
"Damn. He ain't here." Erik said.
"To all forces in the area. We have a possible fix on Al-Asad." Shepherd said on the comms.
"Roger that General over and out." Thunder said before they rushed out.
Heading outside they took heavy fire again.
"Man these clowns are in way over their..." Erik tried to say before they heard them screaming followed by Blaster fire making them look seeing some woman in black armor standing over the dead bodies. "Heads?" Erik asked before she faced them showing she had white skin with brown hair and blue eyes with a somewhat sadistic grin.
"Not even worth my time."
"And you are?" Thunder asked.
"That name's May. I'm a mercenary that General Ross hired along with several others." May said. (Look up May the Mercenary on my DA account Dragonlord012)
"Damn they must be taking this more serious than expected." Erik said before taking fire before they were gunned down by a man in Mandolorian armor as he flew down to them.
"Another Mandolorian. Name and Rank." Thunder said.
"Jango Fett. Second Lieutenant." Jango said.
"Let's move." Thunder said as they moved forward.
Rushing to the TV station they took out the Enemy forces easily.
"Commander." Vasquez said as his men rushed to them before breaking in.
May rushed in with one blaster shooting everyone she could see easily before one tried to sneak up behind her but she kicked his feet out before stepping on his balls making him yell in pain as she laughed.
"I like it when they scream." May said aiming at his face before shooting.
"Your sadistic you know?" Staff Sargent Griggs said.
"I know. Dawn says it suits me." May said as they moved forward.
"As in Jedi Dawn?" Thunder asked.
"She's an old friend." May said.
Arriving at the broadcast room Thunder kicked the doors down.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me." Thunder said pissed off seeing it was just a recording.
"Score one for Military intelligence." Griggs said sarcastically.
"Ross, The fucker isn't even here. I doubt he's even anywhere in the country anymore." Thunder said on comms.
"You sure?" Ross asked.
"The guy's a fucking coward. All bark and no bite." Thunder said.
"I agree General. Al-Asad would be here with his people if he truly believed in his cause. But he is not." T'Challa said.
"Fair point. All right run a sweep for the next couple days. Nothing turns up then we pull out and look elsewhere." Ross said.
"I'd have a better and easier time looking for Banner." Thunder said leaving smashing a table with his fist.
"Oooh. He's pissed." May said amused.
"He has reasons." T'Challa said.
Meanwhile
The others were flying back to base as Sean laid against the back.
"Tired?" Soap asked.
"I do this Job day in and day out. What do you think?" Sean asked making others laugh.
"Don't let him fool ya. His people get off more than he says after major events like this." Ward said before an alert was heard.
"What is that?" Jinora asked.
"SHIT! MISSILE!" Temari yelled as they were hit before crashing down.
Crysis quickly pulled Jinora out as she stretched.
"Ok. That was annoying." Jinora asked cracking her neck.
"Pilot's dead." Price said.
"The hell did that come from?" Gaz asked before choppers arrived.
"Move." Crysis said as they moved out away from the crash site.
"Crysis 01. We're tracking your location. Be advised, An AC-130 is on route to your location." Baseplate said on comms.
"Copy that. Stand by for instructions." Crysis said.
"An AC-130? Really?" Jinora asked surprised.
"I'm not surprised." Ward said.
"Uh what is that? I'm lost." Temari asked.
"A weaponized plane. Three types of big guns from cannons to a minigun." Keizer said.
"Oh. I look forward to seeing that in action." Temari said as they moved forward into some barn.
"Hold up." Price said seeing ultranationalists arguing with some farmer.
"They're gonna waste him." Soap said.
"All right." Crysis said shooting each one once killing them quickly.
"I would have taken my time for threatening an old man." Temari said making him scoff as they moved forward.
"Shit! Chopper!" Keizer said as they went down.
"No one move." Price said.
"Why not just shoot it down?" Temari asked.
"Too messy and it'll just draw attention." Gaz said before it left.
Only for them to take fire from the road.
"Damnit!" Keizer yelled firing back before the chopper came back.
Temari took out her sniper aiming for the pilot before firing making them lose control before crashing down on their own men.
"Damn." Soap said.
"Not bad." Crysis said making her grin.
Rushing into the house they went out the other end before arriving near a gas station.
"Crysis 01, this is Warhammer. Heard you could use some help. Call the Shot." AC-130 FCO said.
"Targets marked." Crysis said using a laser on targets.
"Roger."
Soon heavy fire came down on the enemy from above.
"Holy fuck!" Temari yelled.
"Bloody outrageous mate!" Gaz yelled.
"Damn." Ward said before they moved forward.
The AC-130 laid down plenty of cover fire for them to get to the next pickup site.
"Now that was fun." Temari said.
"They knew. They knew we were on our way to the safe house." Jinora said.
"How could that be?" Ward asked.
"Because we have a traitor." Sean said.
"Come on. SHIELD goes through various methods to weed out corruption." Ward said.
"I never said it was in SHIELD." Sean said making him frown.
"Oh shit." Price said.
"In the Republic?" Soap asked.
"Makes sense. They're in total control of these ops. Chancellor being top, Jedi second." Sean said.
"So who sold us out?" Jinora asked.
"I don't know. But I can assume without question someone who has an axe to grind." Sean said.
Later
While this was going on the Marines were pushing through the City to find Al-Asad.
"Ross we've been at this for 2 days. Theres no sign of him." Thunder said.
"All right. I'm giving the order. Pull back..." Ross tried to say.
"Command we have a situation here." A Crysis rookie said.
"Go ahead." Thunder said.
"We have a possible nuclear weapon in sight. HYDRA symbol is on it."
"Damnit! All forces pull back." Shepherd said.
"Roger that." Vasquez said as everyone began to leave.
"Any idea what the blast radius might be?" Thunder asked.
"Possibly 3 times the size of Hiroshima."
"Damnit. I want all forces to pull back to maximum safe distance." Thunder said.
"Any timer or some control system on it?" Ross asked.
"Negative. And scans indicate..."
Suddenly a massive explosion occurred shocking everyone to the core.
"BRACE!" The Pilot yelled before they crashed down hard.
Thunder kicked the doors off before walking outside seeing the blast making him glare.
"Causality report...only 200 of our troops were within the blast zone...One Crysis member." Thunder reported.
"Understood. Evac is on route to you." Ross said.
"Roger that." Thunder said. "And Ross...Let the press know HYDRA did this." Thunder said.
"With pleasure." Ross said.
Meanwhile
News of the whole thing we reported everywhere in both galaxies.
"Al-Asad is a dead man for this." Gaz said pissed off.
"Too right mate." Soap said.
"Al-Asad is a cowered. He would never sacrifice himself like that." Nikolai said.
"Yeah. This isn't his style. Any leads?" Sean asked.
"One. A safe house in Russia." Nikolai said showing the area.
"Right. Gear up...And bring anyone willing." Price said.
"I got one in mind." Crysis said.
Later
Arriving at a village the original Crysis members were there along with Several Jedi council members.
Anakin was also there.
"Been a while Anakin." Crysis said making him grin.
"Yeah. Let's get this done." Anakin said as they moved in.
Thats when they heard was sounded like screams of horror.
"That doesn't sound like civilians." Soap said.
"Nope." Crysis said before a headless corpse came down making him look up seeing a man with some fur coat on.
"Kraven." Crysis said making him smirk.
"Hey Kid." Kraven said.
"As in Kraven the hunter?" Gaz asked.
"One and only." Kraven said. (From the movie)
Thats when they heard blaster fire.
"Let's move!" Price said as they moved forward seeing a girl shooting at the Russians with quick and accurate aim.
She had on some heavy metal armor with white skin orange hair and Green eyes.
"Oh, Misty being here means theres a heavy bounty on that prick." May said grinning.
"Who's she?" Soap asked.
"Her name's Misty. She's a bounty hunter and a good one at that." May said.
Thats when Jango landed down.
"Sir, Al-Asad isn't in any of the houses. But we have thermal images of him being in the barn." Jango said.
"Lets move." Crysis said as they moved forward before Jetfire laid down heavy fire for them to move up.
"You're clear." Jetfire said transforming.
"Jetfire head off. I wanna know if any reinforcements are on the way." Crysis said.
"Roger that." Jetfire said.
Arriving at the barn they looked through using scanners.
"He's here." Keizer said.
"Whatever. As long as I get my bounty." Misty said making them chuckle.
"You'll get it." Crysis said before shooting his guards before they rushed in taking him.
After that they were torturing him for intel.
"Why'd you do it!" Keizer yelled stabbing him making him scream as he screamed in Arabic.
"What do you mean it wasn't you?" Anakin asked having learned the language.
"I find it hard to believe." Kenobi said.
"I swear...It wasn't me!" Al-Asad yelled.
"Then who?" Price said as Thunder shot his leg making him scream.
"Give us a fucking name already!" Thunder yelled with a knife at his throat.
"I would think you would stop this." Anakin said to Mace.
"I would...If I hadn't seen what happened. We need to know what happened. If it wasn't him he clearly knows who." Mace said.
Thats when a phone rang.
"Uh." Fang said taking out Al-Asad's phone before handing it to Crysis who answered.
"It's been a long time Kruger."
Crysis hung up before looking at Al-Asad before aiming at his face.
"Wait!"
BANG!
Crysis shot his face off.
"Sean?" Jinora asked confused as he kicked a table.
"who was that?" Gaz asked.
"Barkov." Crysis said.
"Bloody hell." Price said.
"Who's Barkov?" Mundi asked.
"My first assassination target 8 years ago." Crysis said.
Flashback 8 years ago
"It was after my first mission. My second mission involved with Price before his promotion and his old commander Captain MacMillan. As many here know about Chernobyl there was lots of left over nuclear material before the Republic showed up. Our orders were simple...Kill Barkov by any means necessary." Sean said.
In the fields we find Crysis with his armor camouflaged to blend in with Price and MacMillan in ghillie suits.
"All right lads let's move." MacMilan said as they moved up.
"You sure your up for this son? After what happened last time?" Price asked.
"Like your first mission was perfect?" Crysis asked making MacMilan chuckle.
"He's got you there son." MacMilan said seeing a patrol before Crysis shot them quick without raising an alarm.
"Nice work son." Price said as they moved forward.
"I'm surprised Russia is even allowing this." Crysis said.
"Even they have limits." MacMilan said.
Moving forward past several enemy troops taking them out without raising any alarms they soon came to the town.
"50,000 people used to live here...Now it's a ghost town." MacMilan said.
"Yeah. Real shame. But maybe someday we'll actually learn." Crysis said before they encountered a wild dog.
"Don't do anything stupid." MacMilan said before it spotted them before walking to them.
"Hello boy." Crysis said petting him making him pant rubbing against him.
"Seems to like ya." Price said amused.
"Lot of animals do." Crysis said before they went up top with the Dog staying behind.
Soon the made it up top waiting for the deal to go down.
"Here they come." MacMilan said seeing cars come up as Crysis with a powerful sniper cannon aimed.
"Remember, Barkov is top priority." Price said.
"Yeah...You might wanna reconsider that." Crysis said looking closer.
"What do you mean? Ah Bloody hell." MacMilan said seeing HYDRA before spotting Grim Reaper. "They're the ones buying." MacMilan said.
"Perfect." Crysis said aiming at Grim Reaper.
"Son. Barkov is the target." MacMilan said.
"HYDRA is a worldwide target. Which gives me reason to deviate from the original objective." Crysis said aiming.
"Son we have orders. I know you're still sore about what happened." MacMilan said.
"You weren't there. Don't give me a fucking lecture on something you didn't see." Crysis argued aiming before a chopper got in the way making him growl.
"Leave it be Captain. Compared to Barkov HYDRA is even worse. Remember how close we came to losing everything in the 40's." Price said.
"I haven't forgotten. Alright son...Your call." MacMilan said as Crysis aimed seeing both Barkov and Grim Reaper in the same position.
BANG!
Suddenly Grim Reaper lost his arm while Barkov left his leg.
"Holy shit." MacMilan said impressed.
"Not bad kid." Price said.
"There. Got both in one shot." Crysis said pleased.
"Chopper!" Price yelled as it came at them before Crysis fired again making it crash down hard.
"Let's go!" MacMilan yelled as they rushed out jumping using a cable.
"Here they come." Crysis said shooting at them as one tried to sneak up behind him.
Only for the Dog to jump him and mauled his neck making him raise an eyebrow as it came to him panting.
"Good boy. Come on." Crysis said as they moved to the extraction point.
"Chopper!" MacMilan said as they shot it down. "That outta show them." MacMilan said looking away.
"CAP!" Crysis yelled as it crashed down making them rush but MacMilan's legs were pinned making him yell.
"My Bloody legs are fucked!" MacMilan yelled as Crysis slung him over his shoulder rushing to the extraction site.
Firing on the troops behind them they made it to the Evac site where all four got on a chopper.
"Whats with the Dog?" One of the Men asked as it laid next to MacMilan who chuckled petting it.
"Call it one of us." Price said amused.
"I think I'll call him Max." Sean said as it laid next to him.
End Flashback
"Oh so thats where you found him." Jinora said remembering him from occasions.
"So Barkov survived." Mace said.
"Sadly yes." Sean said annoyed.
"So what is he up to now?" Anakin asked.
"I'm not sure to be honest. Part of me thinks he's just using Al-Asad's followers to make a distraction. He's up to something." Sean said.
After that Sean went outside looking at the night sky.
"You ok?" Jinora asked walking to him.
"Yeah." Sean said.
"You know...You talk about all your missions...But your first." Jinora said making him look at her slowly. "What happened?" Jinora asked making him sigh.
"You know Shuri asked me that before we even married. And I was stupid enough to answer." Sean said making her frown about to walk away. "HYDRA had been on our radar for years...After WW2." Sean said getting her attention. "Red Skull may be dead but his vision never was...Not in the eyes of people like Zemo and others." Sean said.
"What happened?" Jinora asked.
"Reports of missing people came in. Adults, Teenagers, Children...Infants. Finally we located their base where they were taking them. I was sent in first. I managed to get inside...God knows How I wished I never did. For what I saw." Sean said making her frown.
"What did you see?" Jinora asked.
"They were experimenting on them. None were left alive. They were trying to make super soldiers...Dr Lists work. What I saw...The Cruelty...The inhuman delight in enjoying every second of pain and agony they caused...I snapped. I killed everyone in that base. In the same fashion of what they did. Begging for mercy I ignored everyone and everything around me. I lost control." Sean said shocking her. "Eventually Coulson and the others showed up seeing the carnage of what I did. I gave no excuse. Went under psychological counseling. To help deal with what I saw. But I never forgave myself for what I did. Regardless of what they did...Acting like that not giving them mercy...Made me no different." Sean said as she held his left hand making him look at her.
"And thats why you're always careful about what you do." Jinora said.
"Yeah. Not a day goes by where I wish I could take it all back." Sean said.
"I don't think you should." Jinora said making him look at her. "If you didn't you wouldn't be who you are today. Sure, what you did was horrible...But they deserved it for what they did. A horrible fate for horrible actions." Jinora said.
"Mmm." Sean said.
"Besides, If it wasn't you it was just gonna be someone else." Jinora said.
"Yeah...I suppose." Sean said looking at the stars with her. "You know I normally don't involve myself in family affairs but do you even love your father anymore?" Sean asked shocking her.
"Of course I still do...I'm just so tired of his whole everyone should be the way he wants them crap. I mean...I gave up years of my life being what he wanted instead of being me." Jinora said.
"But that was also your choice. You could have said no." Sean said making her frown seeing the logic in that. "Now I know you have issues with him but maybe when this is over...You should at least consider talking. Because he's worried to death about you." Sean said making her sigh.
Hours later
"We got incoming!" Soap yelled as sun rose up with enemy forces converging on them.
"Right. Mace you and your people stay back for now. You can't exactly deflect solid rounds." Crysis said.
"I think you might wanna reconsider." Anakin said grinning.
"What are you up to?" Fisto asked amused.
"You'll see." Qui-Gon said as Anakin rushed in with the others before they took fire.
Kraven got behind a group before tearing them apart easily before Anakin rushed in with his lightsaber as one fired at him but the shot just bounced back at him making him yell.
"Whoa! The hell happened there!" Gaz asked.
"Magnetic repulser. rebounds anything metal at high speeds." Anakin said.
"Bloody beautiful kid." Price said as Soap got on a downed mini gun before firing on them.
Crysis jumped down firing on several troops before stabbing his lancer into one in the face before using a shotgun on another in the face.
"INCOMING!" Gaz yelled as choppers came in only for Jinora to airbed them into buildings.
"HAHAHA! I'm loving that armor!" Thunder yelled shooting.
Taking a major advantage against their enemy they started sending in tanks.
"Fall back to the Barn!" Price yelled.
"Roger that." Aqua said as they fired on the enemy.
Arriving at the barn Jinora pulled out a rocket launcher with target lock before firing at them blowing them to pieces.
"Crysis 01. We cannot land in the LZ. It is too hot!"
"Oh thats just fucking perfect." Keizer said firing at the Russians.
"Where the hell are you landing?" Crysis asked.
"We're gonna try to land at the bottom of the hill, over."
"Oh he's gotta be taking a piss! We just busted our arses to get all the way up here and now they want us to go all the way back down!" Gaz yelled.
"FORGET IT GAZ!" Price yelled as Crysis created a wall of white fire pushing it forward making them scream in horror.
"GO! GO! GO!" Price yelled as they rushed down to the new LZ.
Arriving the Chopper soon arrived before Griggs and others laid down cover fire as everyone got in.
"GET US OUT OF HERE!" Price yelled as everyone got in and took off.
Later
"So Al-Asad was just a pawn." Fury said looking at the Data.
"Yup. Should have figured. That fuckhead wasn't anywhere close to smart enough to pull all this off." Sean said.
"What now?" Griggs asked.
"Now we need to find Barkov and end this. Makarov is already preparing full retaliation if they do something drastic and knowing him it is not good." Sean said.
"How are we even supposed to find him?" Temari asked.
"Oh I got one option." Reznov said showing an image of a girl in her 30's with black hair and grey eyes.
"Keket Barkov." Price said.
"Daddy's little monster. Figures." Griggs said.
"Keket is leader of the Ultranationalists military. We get her and we get her father." Price said.
"All right. Everyone get geared up." Sean said.
Later
Everyone was back out in the field to find and capture Barkov's daughter.
"Ok theres a checkpoint up ahead." Price said as they moved forward.
Arriving outside a gas station they saw Kaket's men waiting.
"Snipers...Take them out." Price said.
"Copy." Sam said as she and Anya took out the snipers first before Marcus and the others took out the others.
"Clear." Dom said before Kamarov and his men came out.
"That was easy." Clayton said.
"This part. Kamarov get your men in this gear. She'll be here soon." Price said.
"Understood.
Hours later
Crysis was on top of a building on his front waiting.
"Convoy incoming." Crysis said adjusting his sniper as they parked in front of Kamarov's men.
"I got eyes on her." Soap said.
"It would be so easy to put a hole in her head." Erik said.
"Don't even think it. We need her alive." Crysis said.
"Positive ID. Smoke her protection." Price said before they started firing on her protection.
Keket growled before driving her jeep into a tower.
"The tower is about to collapse!" Griggs yelled as it fell over.
Crysis jumped down seeing Keket run off.
"DO NOT LET HER GET AWAY!" Crysis yelled rushing after her.
Rushing to the town he got pinned down by her men making him growl before shooting them quick and efficiently.
"I got eyes on her." Silverbolt said from above. "She's heading into that abandoned apartment building." Silver bolt said.
"DO NOT LET HER OUT OF YOUR SIGHT!" Crysis roared rushing in shooting through her forces.
"Hang on kid!" Price yelled before several of them fell out of the building.
"Oh shit." Temari said.
"Yeah he really wants her captured." Griggs said as they rushed up.
Keket growled as Crysis aimed at her.
"Nowhere left to run terrorist bitch." Crysis said with Star Scream and Thundercracker flying over her just as the others rushed up.
"I can put one in her leg commander." Griggs said.
"Can't risk it Sargent. Thunder, Secure her." Crysis said.
"With pleasure." Thunder said approaching her before she started walking backwards to the edge.
"Whoa. What is she doing?" Jinora said in alarm as she smirked.
"Ty proigryvayesh." Kaket said jumping back.
"NO!" Gaz yelled as they rushed to the edge seeing her on the ground bleeding.
"Fucking hell." Keizer said.
"Bitch has got some issues." Griggs said.
"Loyalty is what it is." Price said.
"Bloody hell, sir she was our only lead." Gaz said.
"Forget it Gaz. Barkov isn't gonna let this go. This will get him to come out." Crysis said.
This made Jinora frown.
"You ok?" Sean asked with his helmet gone.
"Yeah...She was so devoted to her father...She reminds me of me." Jinora said.
"Only you decided to not follow just his way but your own. Thinking about him?" Sean asked.
"I guess." Jinora said.
Later
After Keket's death Barkov had launched an assault on a nuclear launch facility.
So the team was sent in to the area.
Crysis grunted as he landed taking his chute off.
"Everyone here?" Price asked.
"Wheres Griggs?" Vasquez asked not seeing him.
"Must have strayed." Crysis said.
"I got his transponder signal." Jinora said as they moved up.
Coming to an enemy patrol Temari quickly took them out easily.
"At the rate you go you might just make elite operative one day." Price said.
"Like I said I specialize in long range. You should see me with my mother's battle fan." Temari said.
"Battle fan?" Soap asked.
"It's a ninja tool." Temari said.
"Hold up." Price said seeing enemy forces inside.
Crysis and Marcus went up before using silencers on them quickly without alerting the others.
"Clear." Marcus said.
"It's like the Pendulum wars all over again." Dom said.
"Hardly." Price said as they went outside before Jinora got one guard snapping his neck before throwing a knife in the head of another.
"Clear." Jinora said.
Going into one of the houses Marcus kicked one door down before shooting the Russians.
"About time." Griggs said as he was set free." Almost thought you were gonna leave my ass." Griggs said.
"Tempting but your dumbass had all the explosives." Marcus said making him scoff.
"You good?" Crysis asked.
"Yup." Griggs said.
Rushing to a power line they planted explosives for the second team to enter the base.
"Go." Price said before Jinora blew them making the tower fall over.
"We're moving in." Anya said.
"Copy Anya. We'll see ya soon." Marcus said.
Rushing to the next building they quickly took out the Russians before meeting up with Anya's team.
"Base is full of them. No loyalists alive anywhere." Anya said before the ground shook.
"What is that?" Temari asked in alarm before a missile launched.
"Uh...We got a problem!" Griggs yelled.
"Ross! We have a missile in the air!" Crysis yelled.
"Theres another one!" Temari yelled.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me!" Keizer yelled.
"Can't you two fly or something." Griggs said.
"If we try to destroy them Barkov might just detonate them damaging the area to spite us. We gotta deactivate them from inside!" Crysis yelled as they rushed inside.
"Crysis, Makarov just secured the abort codes. You got about 20 minutes before those nukes get anywhere close to home." Ross said.
"Whats the destination?" Price asked going down the launch silo.
"12 areas. They carry six missiles easy. New York, Boston, DC, Hartford, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Richmond, Norfolk. Estimated casualties, 41 million." Ross said.
"MOVE!" Crysis yelled as they rushed forward.
Mowing through Barkov's forces with fierce determination they came to the main doors to the control room.
"OPEN IT!" Price yelled as Crysis and Thunder pulled them down.
"MOVE!" Marcus yelled.
Coming to the control room Crysis shot up every follower of Barkov before running to the controls.
"Ross I need those codes now!" Crysis yelled.
"Sending them now." Ross said.
"Come on." Crysis said inputing them.
"Stand by." Ross said.
Crysis growled watching the screens before the room went from red to green.
"Crysis all missile have been destroyed in flight. None made it close enough to the coast." Ross said.
"Perfect." Crysis said as people sighed in relief.
"That was way too close." Baird said.
"We need to find Barkov and stop him for good." Dom said.
"There he is!" Clayton yelled seeing him on the screens getting in a chopper.
"More forces inbound." Shepherd said.
"All of you get going...We'll handle this." Crysis said.
"You sure?" Jinora asked.
"We'll be fine." Crysis said.
"Lets move." Marcus said as they went to the loading docks.
Later
While Crysis and his team stayed behind to kill what remained of Barkov's forces while the others on trucks drove out.
"Ross! We're out of the base but Crysis and his team stayed behind to finish off the majority of the Ultranationalists." Marcus said.
"Copy that Fenix. Be advised you are being tracked by a small number of enemy forces converging on you." Ross said.
"Copy that." Marcus said as they came up behind them.
"Here we go again." Jinora said before seeing a Minigun down below making her grin before grabbing it.
"OH SHIT!" Cole yelled as she started shredding them before they even got close.
"WATCH OUT!" Price yelled as a gas tanker almost hit them.
"Damnit! There are civilians on the road!" Dom yelled.
"Check your fire." Marcus said before a chopper came in.
"Oh you gotta be kidding me!" Gaz yelled as they fired on it before Temari took out her sniper before aiming at the pilot.
Only for them to get rammed making her lose it.
"FUCK!" Temari yelled.
"It's bugging off!" Price yelled.
"Wait...It's never that easy. OH FUCK!" Griggs yelled as they came to a bridge that it fired on.
"STOP THE BLOODY TRUCK!" Gaz yelled as they crashed.
Jinora groaned as she got up grabbing her gun.
"The bridge is gonna collapse!" Griggs yelled as they rushed forward before they got behind vehicles taking heavy fire.
"Ross! We need support down here now!" Price yelled.
"ETA till they get there is 10 minutes." Ross said.
"THATS NOT GOOD ENOUGH! WE'LL BE DEAD IN FIVE!" Gaz yelled.
"Seems you could use some help." Makarov said on comms.
"It's bloody good to hear from you mate!" Price yelled.
"We'll be there in 3 minutes." Makarov said.
Jinora continued to fire before noticing behind her was a gas tanker making her gasp.
"LOOK OUT!" Soap yelled as it exploded.
Jinora slowly woke up seeing the chaos around her as her team was down.
Thats when She saw Barkov among the chaos with a smug look on his face pulling out his pistol.
Only for his chopper to blow shocking him as a Loyalist one came in.
"Kid." Price said making her look as he tossed her pistol making her grab it before aiming at Barkov who saw before.
BANG!
Jinora shot in in the head along with his two men.
Sighing she laid down as Choppers from Makarov soon arrived landing troops before he rushed to her.
"You will be all right. I want medics down here now." Makarov said.
"Yes Commander!"
Later
Jinora slowly began to wake up seeing she was in a hospital room as she winced trying to sit up.
"Easy Jinora." Tenzin said letting her back down.
"Dad?" Jinora asked.
"You're pretty injured." Tenzin said.
"How long was I out?" Jinora asked.
"A week." Tenzin said.
"A week?" Jinora asked in shock.
"Everyone sustained serious damage from the explosion. Your were closer so it did more damage. But you'll fully recover in a month." Tenzin said.
Jinora sighed.
"I hate hospitals." Jinora said making him smile.
"You know your Grandfather did too. Mostly because of what happened with Zuko's sister when she almost killed him and he woke up." Tenzin said making her smile lightly. "Jinora...I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am of you. You stopped a man from killing millions out of spite. And was willing to pay the ultimate price." Tenzin said.
"This is the real me. I don't mind being an air nomad...But the complete version isn't me." Jinora said.
"I know. And...Maybe it's time the air nation changes. I would rather you and your sister be yourselves and be happy...Than be something your clearly not and be unhappy." Tenzin said making her smile. "I know I messed up years ago. And that is on me. I never meant to push you away." Tenzin said.
"I know. But maybe it was just for the best. Otherwise I wouldn't be who I am now." Jinora said.
Outside Pema smiled watching them reconcile.
"It's always when something major happens that this happens." Sean said leaning on a wall.
"Well, I'm just glad to see them back together again. I do have a request though." Pema said.
"And that is?" Sean asked.
"Please for the love of god. Do not let Ikki join." Pema begged making him laugh having heard stories about how over excited and talkative she could be and figured if she joined her sister...That would make everyone lose their minds.
"I'll try. But something tells me she'll follow her sister's footsteps. At least in some ways." Sean said making her moan in disappointment. "Speaking of which where is she?"
"Oh she's at home since Tenzin didn't want to give her a headache." Pema said making him grin as he left.
Meanwhile
Price was in the break room before Fury walked to him.
"You look like hell." Fury said.
"Been in hell." Price said.
"So what did you want to talk about?" Fury asked.
"A task force. Operating within the Crysis unit. Best of the best." Price said.
"Why?" Fury asked.
"Nick this was too close. We need to start putting our best together to prevent this from ever coming close to happening again." Price said.
"Mmm." Fury said before handing him some folders. "These might help. Other people outside SAS and other groups. Marines, Rangers, JSOC." Fury said. "What would you call this task force?" Fury asked.
"141." Price said.
Author's note: Damn this chapter was seriously Intense. A madman was put down who wanted to nuke the US. Now Stability to Russia and the East returns. Now Next Chapter will involve another series I said I would add. Fairy Tail. This will take place during a tragic incident. Also I realized I screwed up the last added series because I forgot to save the file correctly.
