"So much for paradise," Izumi commented moments after both Kyori and Shisui decided to join her and Itachi in the kitchen. Shisui had this pensive expression upon his face while the burgundette was absent of her standard glower. "Did you two make up or not?" the youngest teen wondered out loud with a hint of annoyance. They needed to stop playing with her feelings!

Kyori's amused umber gaze trailed over to Shisui as he sat across from her and served her a plate. His well statured self was tense to the point that every muscle seemed to scream while those dark eyes didn't dare to meet her gaze. It was almost like she wasn't there. While she knew pretending would get them nowhere, the Shimura decided to tease her friend.

"Did we?" Kyori snickered, thinking about the ways in which her and Shisui got carried away while making up. A grin walked amongst her lips at the thought of him nearly failing to resist her. His want for her was so strong that even now, hehadto avoid her. "I definitely think so," she nearly sung, shrugging nonchalantly.

"I wanna believe that but what's wrong with you?" Izumi turned to her brother that was unusually quiet and wondered what had her friend done to mold him like this? For years he was this carefree fool but now he was this ball of… tension.

Itachi withheld a simper as he prepared some tea for the road. It was growing colder in the early days of November. Bottomless eyes fell on his cousin that continued to wolf down an omelet. Shisui did so while ignoring the glowing Shimura that ate comfortably.

"They clearly have so much more making up to do," the younger male uttered so casually that Kyori practically confirmed his musings by nearly choking on a mouthful of eggs.

Shisui being the ever present and suave gentleman that he was, he slid his beverage over and watched her gulp with urgency. His gaze sharpened on her plump lips and those dainty fingers that graciously accepted his glass.

"Slow down. Unless you wanna choke again," he taunted, his words full of amusement as he failed to dial back.

He couldn't ignore her, and she relished in his blatant desire long enough.

His teasing tone had the garnette's cheeks heating up. Her eyes darted from Izumi, to Itachi, and finally back onto Shisui who had a devilish gleam in his moonless gaze, all of a sudden. When she finally digested his words, Kyori decided that he wouldn't get the last laugh.

She placed her foot on his thigh. Heated fudge landed on amused, gradually widened obsidians as her foot snaked its way up and down his thigh until it dangerously glossed over his sex. Those pitless eyes zeroed in on her and he fought the involuntary urge to either drag her elsewhere or further challenge the Shimura girl. Instead, he his hand enveloped her ankle as his eyes alone urged her to stop with the games.

Shisui didn't have time to even imagine what he'd do to her as she whispered, "What if I did?"

He gaped, not sure if he was turned on, amused or insulted by her words as his dark eyes lingered on the girl that tittered to herself. Was she challenging him to rise to the occasion? He couldn't even ask. He struggled to find his words as he intently observed her running her tongue along her utensils before she resumed eating. He felt the heat licking upon his face as he now faced amused pairs of brunette and onyx eyes while Kyori nearly moaned in delight, her belly irrevocably satisfied.

"Looks like they need to be alone." Izumi giggled, forcing Itachi to remove himself from the table. She could tell that Shisui would definitely be in the mood to settle the score with her friend. "Cya at school!"

"Just not in the kitchen." Was Itachi's dying wish before Izumi hauled him out of the house.

Kyori and Shisui both blistered with embarrassment at what was being insinuated before they continued to eat their breakfast. A tense silence reigned over them until she retrieved a few cylinder containers from her bag, picking out small tablets from the tubes before swallowing them did his best to act as though nothing had taken place, not the pills or the flirting. He opted for taking her plate and her unwanted beverage, washing the dishes as he tried to change the mood.

"So uh, how's the uniform?" he asked sheepishly while sopping up every blotch, feeling lame for not coming up with a better topic. Kyori too felt his unease but appreciated his attempt anyways.

The garnette haired teen smoothen out the very few crinkles in her top, thankful that Izumi was close enough in size although, she had to forgo a few buttons. "It's fine."

"Well." The word rolled off his tongue in that Shisui-esque way that had bats sporadically flapping in her tummy. The teen leaned against the sink and as smug as ever, he smirked at her. "I think you look good with my last name on you."

Fudge browns peered down at the shirt once more, seeing no —reading Uchiha in those bold, navy characters before bashfully looking up at the ravenette's smirking form. It made nearly no sense to be flustered after what they had almost done earlier but somehow she just… was.

"S-shut up!" she squawked, appearing unusually meek to the point the Uchiha male chortled.

He couldn't understand how she was so bold whenever there was a crowd. But when they were alone, Kyori was like a little mouse. She was cute like that.

"Crow caught your tongue, sweetheart?" he mused, simpering with those cavernous eyes that seemed to sparkle at the sight of her lips fumbling. She couldn't come up with a smart remark had her life depended on it.

"Not even close." was her answer and he graced her with a smile before obtaining his keys, though he was victorious in making her tongue-tied he thought to relent. But they both knew he had this power over her.

The crow seemed to truly have her by the tongue as she had no quips or complaints. Kyori feigned annoyance and slipped out of his home, sauntering over to the car with her arms shielding her bust from the frigid, fogged morning. Before she could even shiver the Uchiha opened the door to his car for her and waited for her to be seated and before getting in. Her bubbling fudge brown gaze only softened as his car purred, and shortly after the heating system hummed to life.

The ride to school had been relatively quiet as the Shimura girl openly gazed at him from the passenger side. Her depths had traveled from his perfect brows to sharp coal pits that quirked and gleamed with delight when he heard or saw something he liked. She found her teeth digging into her lips as her gaze tripped over his uneven, pink lips that abruptly turned upward.'Ughh, he's so fine.'She couldn't help but go there as this was foreign grounds for her.

"Wow, you've got it bad dontcha?" Shisui's brow quirked with interest as he teased her, his bottomless gaze floundered on her briefly before he focused on the road.

The Shimura girl scoffed, her smirk rivalling the one upon his lips. "You wish!"

"Then what was all that about?"

He was just so cute. But in the same breath, she found him to be ravishing, especially when she saw the veins that tunneled across his forearms as he gripped the stirring wheel with those large yet slender hands of his. Oh how she'd love for her hips to be in the shape of the stirring wheel. She gulped at the thought of him gripping her tightly, and brought her eyes forward. The burgundette swore lip biting was her route to gnawing away at the thought of sin. She wish that she could think these thoughts away sometimes.

"Nothing." Kyori shrugged, fluffing her hair to sneak glances at the Uchiha.

"Hm, it was nothing?" there was something playful about his tone that had robbed Kyori of the distraction she dearly needed. The girl nodded as he pulled into the school's parking lot. "So what was all that during breakfast?" he quired moments after putting his car in park. "Was that nothing too?"

"If you want it to be," she paused, her train of thought faltered when she fell into his gaze. Trapped in his orbit, Kyori felt herself throb with need.

"How about earlier this morning?" The burgundette exhaled dramatically at the question, rolling those deep umber pools as he brought his gaze anywhere but on her person. "Was that possibly nothing too?" he probed like that of an officer— terse and deliberate.

"You already know it was more than nothing," Kyori murmured, grinning to herself. She had wish he known that their time spent meant everything to her.

After shutting off his engine, Shisui assisted the Shimura girl out of his car. He made sure to carry her messenger bag while propping his arm around her shoulder. Kyori quirked a brow, but decided not to question him at the moment. Although they would have varying answers when it came to where they were in their relationship, the Uchiha knew that he wanted for a certain someone to take a hint.

"Great. People are staring," Kyori mumbled. She remained within his arms, curling inward as she shielded herself from the autumn gust and onlookers.

"Let them," the Uchiha responded without a care, leading her into the main hall. "Staring never hurts." He smirked, feeling victorious as they made it to her locker.

"I guess," The garnette huffed, popping her locker open so that she could gather the materials needed. "It's not like privacy exists." Kyori then turned to face Shisui, who decided to shut her locker for her by trapping her.

"Who wants that when we can give them a show." Shisui gave her a dazzling smirk that had her rolling those carob pearls as she laughed in his hold.

The Shimura girl wrapped her arms around his neck. Bringing the ravenette closer, her fudge brown eyes fluttered with amusement. "Is that what you want?"

The Uchiha feigned nonchalance, shrugging coolly as his eyes dribbled from her eyes to her lips. "What if I did?"

"If you did then I'll play my part." Kyori leaned forward, pulling him into a heated kiss.

Shisui nearly moaned at the taste of mint and mixed berries, he couldn't help but to drape his arm around her waist as he desperately wanted them to be closer. More than anything he'd love to finish what they had started this morning.

"I'm guessing, the kitchen is definitely in shambles 'Tachi." Izumi tittered, astonished but mostly amused by their display of affection.

"Goddamn it," her cousin swore under his breath as the couple parted from their kiss with fevered gazes.

Shisui brought his attention towards his meddling family members and the fire in his pitiless eyes were washed away. Bashful but also concerned, he wondered out loud, "What's up?"

"Did you two sex each other up in the kitchen?" Izumi asked, smirking at her flushed friend. "We were just wondering cause that was one helluva kiss."

"Uhm no!" Kyori nearly shrieked with a horrendous expression on her face. Though she was deemed a whore she had enough decency to not have sex in the kitchen. That, and they never had sex!

Shisui could only cackle at what transpired just now. "Izumi, I love you my dear sister but please don't ever use the phrase sex each other up." He then added after internally seizing, "Actually, never mention sex."

"Yeah, yeah." The female Uchiha fished for a couple of bills, slamming them into Itachi's waiting palm. The irritation had vanished from his vampiric features, in its place was the smile of a victor.

"I knew they wouldn't do such a thing."

"Nah things were done," the suave Uchiha stated suggestively. "Just not in the kitchen."he smirked, referring to the way they spent the early morning.

"Shisui, you idiot!" Kyori glowered in disbelief. "Don't say that when nothing happened!"

"Well what would you define as nothing? Cause it sounds like something happened, Kyori." Izumi's brunette gaze went from her deviant of a brother to her blistering friend.

"Yeah sweetheart, what's nothing exactly?" They eldest Uchiha smirked in the face of her fierce gaze, finding her ridiculously stunning.

"We had this conversation earlier or had you forgotten?" Kyori gave Shisui a knowing look before she pecked him on the lips. She then turned to Izumi and Itachi. "Nothing implies that while it's no one's business, nothing of the sexual nature happened. Happy now?"

"Very, considering we don't have to disinfect the entire kitchen." Itachi held an amused expression.

The bell finally rang, signaling for them to disburse so that they could combat truancy.

Out of the Shisui's peripheral, he caught a familiar glare his way. A pair of golden eyes and a head of auburn tresses was all that was necessary to confirm that Yamanaka was there to witness this. Kyori was his girl now and by the baleful scowl at his lips, he did not like it.

'Good,' The cheeky Uchiha grinned before pouring all of his attention onto the burgundette.

The minute she was dismissed from class, Kyori was glad to meet Shisui during their lunch break. She reached for his hand, locking their fingers as they walked through the of students.

"I'm kinda hungry." The burgundette bit her lip, wondering what was on today's menu.

"Hungry for what? My lips," he mused, his eyes darkening a tad as they fell onto her tactful ones.

"Hmm, that does sound good." The Shimura girl held a grin as her eyes darted towards the entrance of the cafeteria. "But food sounds better. Sorry."

"No worries, you can have me for dessert."

"You're such a dork!"

Kyori nearly broke into a speed walk as her stomach began thundering. She guessed ignoring the gossip, side eyes, and rubber necks had been more taxing than she had thought. And the few that were bold enough to ask her personally if her and the cheeky Uchiha were together or not. But if she was being frank, she wasn't sure about their coupling. They were figuring things out while indulging in each other, and she was not in a rush to come to a conclusion. Kyori placed her head against his shoulder as she held him close, and his scent overflowed into her senses.

She could get used to this.

Just as she reached the door, she felt Shisui tug her backwards and she fell onto his body.

"What was that for!?" The burgundette asked roughly, throwing a glare at her… friend boy?

"You almost bumped into someone," the Uchiha answered, his gaze was caught by another dark pair of eyes that was behind thick glasses.

"Oh, Torune…" Kyori blinked, forgoing an apology while biting back a scowl.

Shisui glanced between the two of them, picking up on the bit of tension before glowering suspiciously at the Aburame.

"You know this guy?" He murmured with quirked brows.

"I used to." The garnette glowered, satisfied by the taller teen flinching. "He was my friend."

Torune frowned at that.

"I still consider you my friend," The Aburame pointed out. "Just because I refused to be involved in whatever you had with Fu? Don't forget I was completely blindsided!"

The Shimura turned to Shisui after realizing that he was at her side. She leaned into him, urging him to go. "I'll meet you at our table," she promised.

"Ok." Shisui gave her a quick kiss to the forehead, and begrudgingly he released her hand, leaving the two in the bare hallway

Once they were alone, she brought her attention back to her former best friend who seemed to have shrunk in size. The Aburame male had his eyes downcasted to avoid her astonished gaze.

Kyori felt her irritation rising as she thought about the road blocks placed on their friendship. Torune had proven he was loyal to Fu, and despite that they could've easily repaired their relationship.

"So I'm still your friend?!" She attempted to reiterate, ruminating on the hurt he caused. Her glower sharpened. "Then why'd you never checked on me? You didn't even try to talk to me despite beingso oblivious. You just sided with him!"

"Kyori, stop yelling. Please,"

"Don't tell me what to do! Torune, you threw away our friendship," the girl balked in utter disbelief at how calm her ex friend appeared. That only reminded her of the auburn haired Yamanaka, further upsetting her. "We've been best friends since we were 10-"

"I know." He clinched his jaw.

"I fought and defended you when people tried to bullied you."

"I know."

"I was there for you when you lost your parents-"

"Kyori, I know!"

"Then why the fuck weren't you there for me?!" she screamed, her voice thundering through the hall.

"Because of Risu!" He blurted out, apologizing right after she jolted.

"What do you mean because of Risu?" her fudge brown eyes settled on him, free of irritation as they sparked with curiosity. "Have you talked to her?" she then wondered.

Torune shook his head in response to the last question. "Not recently. But she told me what happened between you two."

Now it was her turn to feel small as she remembered how shaky her relationship with Risu was after the Kiri trip.

"S-so she told you that I made her leave?" She choked, feeling a deep regret fall onto her as she thought of her dearest friend. "I caused her-

"You didn't make her do anything!" Torune was quick to remove the blame from his friend, speaking gently as he pursed his lips uncomfortably. "Risu did what she did because she wanted to."

"But how I treated her didn't make it any better." The Shimura girl shook her head. "I was awful. Instead of being a self-absorbed bitch, I should've been a good friend."

The silence between them only seemed to affirm her words, deepening the ache in her chest.

"I could've helped, or stopped her."

The Aburame shook his head, sighing as tears welled before pouring from the girl's eyes. He hated when girls cried. "Stop that," he muttered almost robotically. It was as though he had said those exact words before.

"S-sorry," the burgundette stammered. Her head hung low in shame and grief at her transgressions. She could only hope that from now on, she would treat her friends better. That she would love on them, and put them first. If, they decided to ever forgive her.

"It's not like you knew she was going to do it," Torune reasoned before stiffly pulling the Shimura girl in for a hug. "Risu was really sick and there was nothing we could have done that would have change her mind."

"...I know that but-"

"Risu deserve better?" he knowingly interjected. His eyes were wistful as they met hers in understanding. "Who's to say we aren't better now?"

"W-we?" she nearly balked with uncertainty coating her voice.

"Even though I've been distant, I know you're constantly trying. And so am I."

"Torune…" Kyori's eyes watered all over again, but out of relief. She then pulled away from her friend, giving him a teary smile as she wiped her tears away. "I owe you an apology."

"You're fine."

"No, I'm sorry for putting you in this situation in the first place. And projecting." She looked away, feeling extremely remorseful. "I have been cold towards you and you didn't deserve that…" she paused.

Her words seemed to have caught the raven haired teen off guard as his mouth formed into a small 'o.' Torune was stunned at her admittance.

"I just felt like I lost you too when Fu rejected me, and I couldn't handle it so I resorted to being cold and angry." Kyori pursed her lip uncomfortably, wondering what he would say in response.

"And I'm sorry for not being a good friend when you returned. I should have been present and supportive." His stature hardened with regret as he realized the effect he may have had on Kyori. "While I never intended to abandon you, I did nothing to combat it."

"Truce?" the burgundette pulled out her pinky, raising it toward the lanky teen.

"Truce."

A smile broke onto her face when he locked his with her own before giving it a firm shake. It was nice to gain her friend back, but someone leering in the shadows could only bitterly disagree. If it was up to him, the Shimura girl would not be smiling after all that she has put him through. He needed an explanation before he could ever let it go.

Ochaaa here!

I'm always struggling to produce a chapter, life is being lived or whatevers.

It seems that Shisui and Kyori has finally made up, and has even went public with their relationship, if that's what they would call it! Perhaps Izumi was right about their being some sort of paradise: Kyori got the guy, the friend, along with a little reassurance! All of which goes a long way!

Just what else is missing, or rather who is looming in the shadows? And will they come to light?

May we all find out later on, so make sure to favorite it, flame it, book it, or keep it in your history (mobile users).
