Chapter One: It Begins with an End!
Hogwarts had vanished just as Voldemort had planned.
The world that Harry Potter once inhabited had succumbed to an overwhelming darkness.
The Death Eaters, led by the malevolent Lord Voldemort during a final, atrocious ritual, had devoured everything in flames and shadows.
The air crackled with chaos as spells danced like lightning across the tumultuous skies, while magical barriers that once protected the innocent crumbled like fragile glass under the weight of malevolence.
When the suffocating smoke finally dispersed, Harry found himself standing alone amid the desolation. He remembered the desperate screams echoing in his ears—the grief, the terror. And then… an unsettling quiet.
Suddenly—light.
A radiant golden glow pierced through the oppressive void, wrapping around him like a warm embrace.
When he dared to open his eyes, an astonishing sight met him; three colossal beings floated majestically in the sky, their forms so immense that they seemed to warp the very fabric of reality around them.
One towered with an undeniable, overwhelming force, its presence suggesting the crushing weight of mountains.
Another crackled with an electric energy, bolts of thunder emanating from its form like a tempest unleashed.
The third blazed with an intense heat, a luminous flame that seared the heavens, illuminating the darkness that had engulfed everything in its wake.
He couldn't comprehend what they were. They were not beings from any dusty textbook, nor mere spirits he had stumbled upon in the deepest corners of the Restricted Section. They radiated an ancient essence—an aura that spoke of timelessness and divinity, echoing with the power of ages long past.
They were observing him.
And then, in a blinding flash, everything became searingly white.
When Harry awoke again, he was on a bench in a city that was unfamiliar to him. He was still wearing his Hogwarts robes, with his wand tucked in his sleeve, but he could feel that his magic was gone. Something else pulsed in his pocket—a rectangular case. He pulled out the case from his pocket and opened the case.
Inside the case were two strange decks of cards. One deck glowed warmly, featuring faces of Ron, Hermione, Hagrid, and even Hedwig. The other deck was cold, pulsing with whispers—and it displayed the faces of Voldemort, Bellatrix, and others.
"Use me… bring them back…" the dark deck whispered.
He quickly shoved it deep into his pocket so that Deck stayed in the deepest part of the case he found it in.
Before he could collect his thoughts, a teenager with wild brown hair approached him, grinning from ear to ear.
"Hey! Are you okay? You're not from around here, are you?" he said, breaking Harry's musings.
"…I'm not sure where here is," Harry replied to the odd teenager.
"I'm Jaden Yuki. Welcome to Duel Academy—well, the entrance exam at least!" Jaden said with a calm grin, which seemed to calm Harry down.
Harry followed Jaden, who was animatedly explaining how he intended to become the next "King of Games" whatever that meant.
Harry Potter stood at the entrance of a grand, unfamiliar building.
The strange atmosphere was unlike anything he had ever felt—there was magic in the air, but not the kind he was accustomed to.
He could feel it, swirling all around him. But it wasn't the type of magic he'd used his whole life. This was something different.
Jaden had already rushed in leaving behind Harry who was asked a million questions by a bored city worker, they fitted Harry with a strange object and directed him to the entrance!
Harry entered the building, feeling the weight of his uncertainty pressing down on him. The bustling noises of happy future students for this 'Duel Academy' duel fields like the ones Harry had set up in Hogwarts stretched out before him. Students and Professors battled on the fields with strange creatures summoned from cards that they used to battle until they reached 0 Life Points on their strange devices.
Harry saw Jaden bouncing happily from the corner of his eye; he was talking to a blue-haired kid and someone who reminded him of Hermione. Speaking of her, he pulled out the odd deck of cards he found, as he looked through them he spotted her smiling face looking up at him; book and her wand in hand... the other deck he found still whispered to him; the voice of all his foes whispering to "USE THEM"
"Hey, Harry!" Jaden's voice shakes Harry from the whispers from the dark deck; he quickly stuffed Hermione back into the deck of his friends. He waved at Jaden who pointed to his blue-haired colleague, and then Harry heard Jaden's name being called over the hum of many students talking all at once. Jaden heard it also and rushed towards his duel arena.
Harry watched Jaden's duel, learned a little from his duel; about how to use the cards, what monster summoning was; how to use spell and trap cards... and fusion summoning which was the staple of Jaden's deck.
"HARRY POTTER TO ARENA 17!" a deep voice says.
"You're late." the professor said in a cold tone, not even looking at Harry as he entered the arena. "No matter. We will begin your entrance exam now."
Harry had no idea what this "entrance exam" was, but the professor quickly explained that if Harry won he'd enter the academy, he explained in a bored tone like Harry was beneath him.
"Let's get started, shall we? My name is Professor 13, and that is all you will call me by!" The professor smirked, raising his duel disk. Prompting Harry to raise his own, he watched as the Professor slotted his deck into the device, Harry followed the professor by slotting the deck of his friends in the strange opening in the device.
"DUEL/Duel!" Harry and Professor 13 shout out, why Harry felt the need to shout that he didn't know. Their life points both read 4000 each.

==Professor 13's First Turn==
The professor began first, drawing his card and looking at Harry with an almost smug expression.
"I'll start with a monster." Professor 13 declared, placing his card on the duel disk. "I summon Void Bane Knight in Attack Mode!"

"I'll end my turn!" he said, leaning back on his heels. "It's your move."
==Harry's First Turn==
Harry felt the pressure mount as he drew his card. He had no idea what he was doing, but he knew he couldn't let this professor win. He glanced at his cards and, despite his uncertainty, decided to start with his Hedwig Chick in defence mode.

"I'll end my turn with one face-down card" Harry said, feeling a little lost but trying to keep his composure. he slots a spell/trap card into the required slot.
"Whoa, what's that card on the field?" Jaden's voice comes from the sideline, his duel ended with his victory against a professor named Crowler... he hoped that's what the professor was called.
"I don't know Jaden... Must be a new deck." the blue-haired boy says.
"Hope Harry is a great duelist ey Syrus!" Jaden says giving the blue-haired boy a playful nudge with his elbow.
==Professor 13's Second Turn==
The professor drew his card, his eyes narrowing as he scanned his hand.
"Very well..." he said, a wicked gleam in his eye. "I summon Void Tyrant in Attack Mode! by sending this card to my graveyard." the professor says showing Harry a monster called Dark Void Shade.

"You can Special Summon this card from your hand by sending 1 DARK monster from your hand to the Graveyard. If you do, this card's ATK becomes 1400."
"Once per turn: You can banish 1 DARK monster from your Graveyard to have this card gain 400 ATK until the End Phase."
"If this card destroys a monster by battle: You can send the top 2 cards of your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard."
"I'll end my turn," the professor said coolly, his monster looming over the field. "I won't attack because I don't trust your face-down card... Your move child, if you wish to enter Duel Academy you better summon something better than that weak chick."
"Huh..." Jaden says feeling an odd feeling, he pulls out his Winged Kuriboh card from his deck. "What's up bud?" Jaden asks looking at the card, the card seemed to vibrate with excitement.
"What is up Jaden?" Syrus asks looking over at Jaden who had began talking to a card from his deck.
"Dont know... feels like something is happening... Something big!" Jaden replied placing Winged Kuriboh back into his deck.
==Harry's Second Turn==
Harry drew his next card, and his eyes widened slightly as he saw it: Hedwig's Call, a spell card that could boost Hedwig Chick's power. He didn't know how long this would last, but he knew he had to make use of it while he could.
"I activate the Spell Card: Hedwig's Call!" Harry shouted placing the spell card into the slot.

"Target 1 "Hedwig Chick" you control; increase its ATK by 1000 until the End Phase. If that monster is destroyed by battle this turn: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Beast or Spellcaster monster from your Deck, ignoring Summoning conditions."
"Let's go, Hedwig!" Harry says switching Hedwig's Chick to attack mode.
The tiny owl chick glowed brightly as her feathers shimmered in light powered by the spell card that shared the same name.
"Hedwig Chick, attack Void Tyrant!"
The audience gasped. Jaden's eyes widened. "Is he crazy?! That little bird can't take on something like that!"
Void Tyrant's 1400 ATK still outmatched Hedwig Chick's base 300... but with Hedwig's Call active, the chick now had 1300 ATK—still not enough.
"Kid you need to learn how to play the game!" the Professor says with a smirk watching Hedwig Chick turn into a pixelated mess of shimmering colour.

Professor 13 smirked. "When my Void Tyrant destroys a monster, you lose more than just your creature. Say goodbye to the top two cards of your Deck."
Two cards slid out from Harry's Deck, landing in the Graveyard slot.
Harry glanced at them—his heart skipped. One of them was a card he hadn't even gotten the chance to look at yet... the other was a powerful Trap he could have used later.
"Your little chick did more than just vanish, Potter!" the professor said coldly.
"But it's just what I wanted!" Harry said his tone confusing everyone watching the duel and the professor, a flicker of confidence returning to his voice.
"When Hedwig Chick is destroyed by battle, I can Special Summon a Beast monster with 1500 or less ATK from my Deck!" Harry adds with a smirk. "But because of Hedwig's Call, I can also summon a Level 4 or lower Beast or Spellcaster" Harry continues, two flashes of light appear behind him.
"First Hedwig Chick lets me summon a fuzzy friend. Come to the field Crookshanks, the Knowledge Familiar, in Defense Position!" Harry says with a laugh.

"Huh, kid is this card special or something?" The Professor asks with a bored tone.
"You'll see, first I declare a type... say BEAST type and I can summon a fusion monster that uses those types as fusion materials. So I will do exactly that! I will summon from my fusion deck a monster that is close to my history." Harry says flickers of energy surrounding Crookshanks, the Knowledge Familiar & Brave Toad.
"I Summon Fluffy the Three-Headed Fiend" Harry shouts the energy surrounding his two monsters turns into sparks and slowly starts a dance to create a new creature.

This card gains the following effects based on the Types of the materials used for its Fusion Summon:
● If both materials were Beast-Type: This card cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects once per turn.
● If 1 or more materials were DARK Attribute: When this card destroys a monster by battle: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent.
● If this card was Fusion Summoned using a card effect (like 'Hogwart's Keep'): You can target 1 card your opponent controls; it cannot be activated in response to this card's attack this turn.

"Whoa, what is that?" Jaden asks leaning forward his eyes widening as he looks at the monster Harry Fusion summoned. Students followed Jaden's movements; they all wanted to get a closer look at this monster, especially a figure sitting on a chain tapping his fingers on the chair's arm.
"Interesting!" the figure mutters to themselves as it seems like this new duelist could be the one he was waiting for... but time would tell... the other one could work with his plan as well, his eyes focusing on Jaden.
"Whatever it is, it looks strong!" Jaden adds shaking with excitement.
"Before I attack I'll use Fluffy's effect; Because Fluffy was Fusion Summoned using "Hogwart's Keep", and I declared "Beast", the following condition is met:
● If this card was Fusion Summoned using a card effect (like 'Hogwart's Keep'):
'You can target 1 card your opponent controls; it cannot be activated in response to this card's attack this turn.' So your Void Tyrant is now locked out—it cannot activate any effects." Harry says as black energy surrounds Fluffy that spreads from Fluffy out towards Void Tyrant!
"Oh, so that's what that card can do?" Jaden says thinking that Harry's cards are amazing but confusing as heck.
"Now I'll attack!" Harry says, energy flowing from him connecting to Fluffy who slowly begins charging energy that flows from all three of the monster's heads.

"Nice move kid..." the Professor says with a smile his LP lowering to its new amount. He looked down at his LP on his duel disk, a confused look on his face; he then checked on Fluffy's effect: If 1 or more materials were DARK Attribute: When this card destroys a monster by battle: Inflict 500 damage to your opponent.

"I am not done yet!" Harry says with a smile, from his hand, he shows off a card; swirling energy shows on the face of the card, and the name of the card: "Friendship's Vengeance"

"And that's game... I think." Harry adds watching as the holograms vanish, but before they do so Harry feels a wave of calm from his deck of friends.
"Good job kid, you're in the school. I'll see you in Yellow... if you get there." the Professor says leaving the arena with a flick of his cloak.
