One day Simon and Finn got a lunch on the roof of old Empire fort. Now it's a new home for Children of Jakku. This was the highest building in the city. Here Simon could watch all the vale in its obscure yellow color. All the city in a smoke, the same obscure in the day, as its gray sky. All the valley in a silence but the noise of three Tie Fighters in the sky.

"Where do you thing they're going?" Finn asked.

"No idea. Maybe they just like to race. I wouldn't say we still have an enemy."

"Okay. Forget about them and go to eat your sausages." Finn took sandwiches away of chimney. "I forgot to warm them up. Why we can't just eat in our kitchen?"

"Because I want some fresh air. Look, this is highest building in the world. Jakku at least. But I never thought I'll be here. And I want you make me a company. Because we know each other a little time, but I still can say nothing about you."

"I have the same problem. I don't even know what your face looks like. You hide it over the mask all time."

"The first of Children of Jakku use a mask. It's a philosophy has been started by Nelson. He tried to created image of faceless hero of revolution. Either I do."

"Why, if your deal is right?"

"Most of us are the same Stormtroopers. We are accustomed to being nameless and faceless troops in hands of Empire. You're Stormtrooper too. Don't you want use a mask?"

"No, thanks. I have great face."

"Once Nelson said that one of us will inherit his mask and manage children of Jakku. I hope I will. This why I'm trying to get used to mask. Is it clear?"

"No, I mean yes. You wear a mask because Nelson do."

"Yeah, looks like this. But when Nelson had told about this, from this mouth this sounded cooler. My mask is a symbol of power. My mask and a crown are the same. He has a power to make empire burn!" Simon pointed to the sky and far away it started burn. So brightly that made a reflection on his glasses. "Is it? Finn, what do you see?"

Finn was not sure what is happening so far away of the city and put on his glasses. The picture stayed the same. The cloud of flame and steel is falling from the sky. "Is it a sign of new war? I'm not sure. I see the starship was hit by our senators. Why?"

"Let's ask Nelson. I'm sure he has an idea."

The went a few floors down and went in the Nelson's new office. They saw him sitting on the chair and looking on the screen thoughtfully. Simon said first, "Nelson, what is going on here? Senators has hit the starship. Who attacked us this time?"

"How can I know? I see what your eyes see." Nelson replied with no turn of the screen. "For the first. I guess, it came here because of call for help."

"Do we need a help?" Finn surprised.

"I guess this one man do." Nelson pointed on the screen but Simon saw only curve is bending there. After few seconds of silence Nelson clicked play massage. This was saying, "Attention, everyone. Officer Rose is on the line. Jakku was under attack and occupied by the traitors."

"Oh, my gosh. We supposed do not get attention before strengthen its position." and Simon recognized the voice, "I heard it before. It's Karl."

"Yes, of course. We know only one officer Rose in here."

"This mad fellow sends a signal in outer space and calls support. Why we did not arrest him when we had a chance?"

Even Nelson has no face, everybody could fill as grim his eyes now. He whispered, "I believed he is enemy not my size. Empire what we know is dying. What does he hope for? I need to see this starship closer."

"Wanna check survivors?

"No, of course not." Nelson stood in full his length. His mask has a smile and now it expressing a great interest. Walking to the window he said, "Maybe I'll see what is the plan of Karl Son Rose. Maybe it's deepest than I see now."

When Nelson disappeared in the window, Simon lowered his head, "I don't believe this war will ever end. Maybe not in my live."

Finn sat at Nelson place and stared at screen, "Don't panic. I believe the problem is not so big."

"What are you doing? There should be passwords."

"I don't need to go in his computer. I need only this screenshot. Look at this. Karl use radio transmitter. He can't just take megaphone and cry "help" in the sky. In outer space no one will hear his cry."

"Good point. Here is no so much of so strong transmitter." Simon stared at the screen, "But I believe there was much more of them. Where they disappeared?"

"Nelson already market geolocation. This transmitter Karl son uses." Finn pointed on the screen again.

"Good idea. We will go and shut up the transmitter and shut Karl Son Rose too. No Sonny, no funny. This like said my daddy."

"The path is not close. Let's call my favorite Tie Pilot." Finn get a phone from his pocket and soon Simon sew the familiar face on it. But now the face was hidden with a long black hair and was a little red like she had lie face down for a long time. Finn said "Take your rifle, Tie-fighter and go to the new fort. We will hunt for Karl Son Rose."

"Can he wait for tomorrow? I had a bad sleep.", she has a sleepy voice indeed and Simon tried to joke, "Had you worked at Death Star?"

"No."

"Too bad. If someone there would be too sleepy for shoot, one planet would not be destroyed and one princess would be so happy. But I don't remember her name." Her head fell back on the pillow and Simon understood, "I guess my joke is so boring and you wanna sleep again."

Finn said, "Let me try. Karl Son of Rose took a megaphone and call for help. No one heard him in the desert and he got a huge radio transmitter."

Her face changed. It becomes pale. Simon commented, "Seems you got a sick."

"It's not good." She cried and leaped off the bad, "Why're you talking so slowly? This will become such a big problem if we won't do something."

"Relax, our Tie-senators already hit one starship." Finn put dawn the phone and they walked on the roof. The same city around them. The same column of smoke is rising above horizon. Still few residents of the city are walking across the streets and look at horizon. Noise in the sky and Tie-fighter landed close to them. The both set in the cockpit and in close quarters they went in the ride.

The empty space of the desert, the white sand and blue sky was all that they have seen all the way. Finn tired of the journey and started to grumble, "I'm tired to sit bent over three deaths. Can I look out the manhole?"

"And step on my head? No thanks."

"What you wanna see?" Fin replied. "All I see is sand, sand and little more sand. Papa Karlo should be absolute lunatic if he lives in a desert."

"How well do you know Jakku?" Simon asked.

"Very well. Because there is nothing. The desert around and the cosmic junkyard flying above us."

"There is very much lost thing what you can find. Broken spaceships, old toys, abandoned city for example. We're flying to the one." Simon felt as the TIE fighter turned to left. "What is going on?"

"We have arrived."

The abandoned city was no more than six buildings with single story structure near the oasis. And transmitter of course was there. Simon stood near the pilot, touched her shoulder and said, "There is hangar. The building with the red roof. Destroy it."

"Okay, I see it?" She answered and made a shoot few times what made the building crashed.

"Good, now he can't go anywhere. That's just like old times when we was raiding an enemy's bases." Said Finn.

"Yes, indeed. I do the same job I did years ago. Nothing has changed."

Simon looked at her with the outrage in his eyes but she just shook her head. Then landed the starfighter and said, "Finn, stay here and guard my spaceboat."

"Do you think that Karl is super hijacker? Then why I can't go with Simon and you stay here?"

"I worry about you."

"I'm Stormtrooper, after all. I'm very good at storming a castle."

"And you have batter vision than I have. You're very good at surveillance."

Finn sighed and put the eyeglasses, "I hope you're pleased."

She nodded and left the TIE fighter with Simon. They looked around and Simon said, "Look at the building with the solar panels. There is working air-conditioner. I guess the house is aboded." They walked to the door and hugged the wall while Simon is preparing his ruffle. Then he shoot the lock and attack started. There was everything to think that the old man lives here but silence around. They've hit every room in the house but found no one. As result of their futile search, they decided to check others buildings.

In the meantime, Finn was sitting in the starfighter and watching the town. Abruptly, the radio honked about a signal on an unfamiliar frequency. It caught his attention and Finn decided to check the massage. But there was undecipherable noise that's like a booting modem. Then the voice started to chat but Finn didn't understand any of these words. Everything went dark and he lost track of time. In the dark and silence, he heard a woman's voice, "Why are you here?" Felt her touch. She called him by his name very clearly. His eyes cleared and saw the mirror and his own reflection with a gun to his head.

"Nothing. I'm standing here for no reason," Finn answered lowering the gun. Looked around and saw the town.

"I see." She looked sideways at his face. "That's what I worry. What happened before you got here?"

"I just," in that moment, he heard an engine start and saw TIE fighter flying away.

"Oh my god! Is it my TIE?" she cried, holding her head. "How do we go back now?"

"Do you know," Finn bit his lip and think. "Stormtroopers can't hit anything and you're not exception. Let's check the hangar."

Simon ran up to them and asked, breathing hard, "Was it our ship?"

"Yes. Let's hurry up if we wanna catch it up."

They ran to the hangar and found there a few starfighters covered with pieces of the roof. A few of them look intact but Simon noticed one special, "Look, X-wing. Let's get this one. I heard this starfighers became symbol of the Rebellion."

"Very funny. And how we supposed to fit into this? I won't hold so big kids on my knees."

"Okey, then. Look at that. That's … I don't know what but looks like a transport. Let's get this one."

"Then help me clear the way." Finn said and started to take out the pieces of hangar of the road.

When the work was done, he get inside and informed her that they're ready. However, for his surprise, she kept reading the manual. And explained her action, "I need to read a manual before every flight."

"We have no time for this. He is leaving!"

"He won't. There is a tracking chip." She had messed with the interface for a few minutes before switched the engine. The starship entered the orbit and they continued the pursuit. After twenty minutes flight, they could see the cloud of steel on the horizon of the desert and black space above them.

"Is it?" Finn asked, staring.

"Cosmic junkyard."

The TIE fighter was right ahead of them. One missile was fired but TIE fighter turned to side and missile passed the target.

"Why so cruel? Here is laser cannons." Simon said.

"I forgot. I just want to hit the engine."

Karl flew inside the station what forced them follow him through the tangle of iron walls and broken electronics. Fire gets more aggressive as chase continued. His pursuer wondered, "Why can't I hit him?" They lost him for a minute when Karl entered the tunnel. They flew near the tube, hoping they'll meet him in the end. And they did but the starships are passing each other now.

"I can't believe but he beat you as a pilot." Finn said, seeing a flash of anger in her eyes. In the next moment, the starfighter turned left and ram Karl's fighter what made both landed. All of them saw as cockpit opened but Karl didn't crawl outside. He was catapulted on the high platform.

Finn said, "I see two ways where he can go. Let's split up and surround him. I'll go with Simon?"

"Why?"

"For equal teams. I don't believe you're so good fighter. She and I are soldiers, after all"

Karl started to go downstairs and changed his decision when he saw two armed men going up. He ran another way but running aside the trash can, he was kicked in the leg what knocked him flat. "God! Trash attacks!", he screams lolling aside but even so he felt the foot on his back and the voice above him said, "Don't move, disco man!" This nick name was not just a talk. His helmet made a very brightly blink what blinded her eyes, then header in her nose and he is free. In the next moment, he got a kick but caught it. Then turned the enemy around and kicked her in the back. Karl says breathing hard, "Looks I'm not your size." The girl just smirked and made step back in the shadow. This confused Karl because she disappeared. He walked slowly hearing as the new enemies almost there. This why he pointed his cone with the gun inside. But something feels wrong and when he turned around, he caught the dart of stun gun. This was a surprise for shooter and, she lost the moment when Karl sting the dart in her gut. Grin and stun of electric shock, she couldn't believe her eyes. "I'm not your size!" Karl said again, "Because I've a greatest power." Then he through her over the railing and her body made all the way dawn.

Help has come. Late but it's come. They shoot in Karl what force him to hide behind the big box. They made the same. This supposed long waiting. But box started to move toward them and move very fast. Lucky for them, they were near the railing and jump un it. The railing bended because of the box hit and Simon fell down. Lucky for him, there was a heap of oakum and fall was almost safe. There he saw already started starfighter. He set inside and asked, "Did you see that? He is powerful like an elephant."

"I don't care. I have a big gun." Cockpit closed and the starfighter moves up. In the middle of the way Finn also fell to them. He tried to say something but they couldn't hear.

Simon asks, "Can we let him in?"

"No, the glass is blocked in movement" They lifted little higher the platform. "It's time to die." Laser cannons activated and bolts of energy rushed on the platform. In that moment, they almost could see a stream of purple light formed a blade in Karl's hand. But the platform fell down with Karl. "How did he dropped you dawn? You said."

Before Simon said the word about paranormal force around Karl Son Rose, he has returned. They saw Karl again just behind the glass, like he is swimming in the air. Simon almost went deaf from scream under his ear. Almost went blind of sparks and lightsaber afront of him. And the last he saw was splash of lightning seeking to Karl. This force threw him away but control of the starfighter was lost.

It moved aside and flew a long way till it crashed into the wall. Simon said breathing hard, "He is dead. I saw as Finn died." He tried to find a word of comfort but there was no one who would listen. The pilot already left the starship and search lost passenger.

While she was running up and down in search of the friend, Simon checked interface. He didn't understand anything. Time flew and silence fell around. Simon left the transport afraid there will be no one he could to talk. But lucky for him he still wasn't alone. So, he reports, "Machine still working, I guess. I can't read this panels. But I didn't hear nose of Tie-fighter. Karl is still here. We still can catch him."

"This is enough for today," Now she is sitting on the wing, with drooping head, clasping her knee. "Sorry. It's too much for me: Finn died, Jedi. I never fought them before. I thought they were extinct long before my birth. It's impossible, I could die."

"Before he made a deep breath of freedom, his story ended. And either we could. Because Karl is Jedi, out from nowhere. But we didn't, because he is not only one Force sensitive here."

"And what do you want of me?"

"So, it wasn't just my imagination" He forced the words, "This was manifestation of the dark Force? Sith!"

And she answered monotonously as usually, "Yes, I am."

"Like Emperor Sheev Palpatine. I… I'm not sure what to say."

"No need of speech. I see you confused more than me. You can run away if you want."

"I do, but where will I go? We are on the cosmic dumb. There is nothing but the space air around us."

"Sorry. I will take you home."

"I can run away in any time. I have a question or two. Because, if Karl Son is Jedi… I heard that the Jedi were the guardians of peace and justice in the Galactic Republic. I confused why he fought us? I remember we attacked but we had forced. I confused why he fought us? I remember we attacked but we had forced. So why?"

Looking sideways young Sith replied, "I don't know. This was, long time ago. There ain't Republic anymore. Nothing to fight for Jedi."

"Well, what is Jakku then?"

She tightened herself harder and said, "Still Empire. It can't be anything else?"

"Why?"

She regained her feet and says, "Ask for me, I was born in Empire and can't imagine the world without it. The same goes for the others. This like…" She grinned a little smile. "Can you believe I'll became Jedi if I was a Sith all my life? The light side of the Force? What is it? I can't feel it."

"I believe we can change ourselves. And Nelson is older Empire. He remembers good old days. He will teach us"

"Is that so? All your hope for Nelson? It's not a lot but… Help me with one thing. I can't return Finn to home. It's far away from Jakku. Help me bury him, at list."

They found something like a coffin and let Finn's dead body go away in open space. And there on Jakku, when Simon left the starship, he said about his feeling, "This looks like I'm criminal who hid a dead body. There in outer space no one will search him. But if we bury him in the desert, this would feel the same. This happens with every Children of Jakku. We make a deal only this way." The starfighter rushed forward and Eric was alone, keeping his eyes on the horizon. As the rest of the starship burn far away in the desert. This was an afternoon but the city keep silence. On his own in his mind Erik got a little cigarette on the edge of the roof. But in the start of smoking he dropped it and ran to Nelson's office.

The office was still empty. And Erik spend a long time waiting Nelson's return and even fell asleep. He woke up because of noise as Nelsen klicks a button. Nelson says in microphone "Attach warp engine to the Tie-fighter on the dock number four. Warp engine to the dock four." Hearing as Simon moaning through the dream Nelson said, "You can sleep. I'm leaving now. You can play some funny game or something but don't forget to lock the office."

"No, thanks. I guess I slept enough."

"Really? Where you lost glass eyed Stormtrooper?"

"We made a huge mistake, Nelson. He and I attacked Karl Son Rose."

"Why?"

"The same reason we had killed everybody in the White House not long time ago. He tried to call a new army. You know that."

"And what?"

"Finn died in the battle. And I buried him in open space."

"Oh, Erik. Can you think before acting? This starship was not of Empire. It's came from new Republic. Huge mistake our senators made."

"Oh my gosh. Poor guys. But why Finn? Never mind." Simon made a fake caught. "Have we a problem now?"

"I don't think so. Who care about one little ship in the days of civil war? But I suppose to work with Republic in the foreseeable future. We shouldn't hit their ships. What the sense after all?"

Nelson left the room before Erik could ask more. He was left on his own thoughts. With no idea what to do he went to home for rest.
