Chapter 7 Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village

The group walks through some very tall grass in a forest.
"I hope we're not lost." Misty said.
"Don't worry. We just need to focus." Yuto said.
They keep moving until stopping at some large rocks.
Yuto looks around.
He then sees a Oddish drinking some water from a pond.
"Oh an Oddish." He remembers them.
"It's so cute." Misty said.
He then goes to check on the little guy.
"I'm going to catch it!" Misty gets up and pulls out a pokeball.
But then Yuto hears a sound, he stops her from making a move.
"Wait."
"What is it?" Misty asks surprised.
Yuto looks at the side. "Something is coming."
A Bulbasaur comes rushing out to protect the Oddish.
"A Bulbasaur?" Yuto said.
"Bulbasaur!" It said angrily at them as its brings out vines.
"Come Jirai Gummo." Yuto sends his Pokémon out.
Jirai Gummo appears with a screech.
"Oh come on!" Misty hides behind Yuto and Jirai Gummo knocks the vines back.
Bulbasaur fires a razor leaf attack at Jirai Gummo. But the spider swats them away, Bulbasaur gets a bit worried at this.
"Bulba! Bulbasaur!" It said to the Oddish.
"Look we don't want to hurt you. I just summoned Jirai for protection." Yuto said.
But Bulbasaur doesn't believe him.
"Look for your own safety it's best you leave. You don't stand a chance against Jirai."
Bulbasaur uses its vine whip to grab oddish and runs away.
Yuto looks as they ran away. "They're going away."
"But why did that Bulbasaur do that?" Misty wonders.
"Let's check around." Yuto goes forward.
They try to follow the direction Bulbasaur went. Yuto looks around and searched for anything dangers.
But as they move they came across a bridge.
"Be careful." He tells Brock and Misty.
They start to cross it.
"I can't find this bridge on my map." Brock said pulling out his map.
"That's strange." Yuto said.
The wind then starts to blow strongly shaking the bridge. They got surprised and it starts to break.
They quickly grabs on to the unbroken rope while screaming.
Yuto reaches out to Misty. He manages to grab her hand but then Brock starts to slip off and falls into the river with a scream.
"Brock!" They yelled.
Misty then looks at Yuto with fear.
"Yuto, you have to pull us back up! It's our only chance!" She exclaims in fear.
"Hold on!"
Yuto pulls them up and climbs across the bridge to get to land. She hugs him and she was scared.
Yuto tries to calm her down by rubbing her back.
"We need to find Brock."
"R-right." Misty said still shaken up.
He helps her up and they followed the river.
But then Misty falls into a pit trap with a scream
"Misty!"
"What's a trap doing here?" Misty questions rubbing her bottom from when it hit the ground.
"Hold on. I'll get you out." He told her.
He gets her out with the help of his Pokémon. They continued forward and Yuto goes first to make sure theres no traps.
He then notices something on the ground.
"Wait."
Misty stops as Yuto was staring at a root as far as she knew.
"It's another trap."
Yuto and Misty goes around it.
"How did you know it was a trap?" Misty asks.
"When you live in a region full of Pokemon that can crush you, you tend to find things."
"R-right." Misty said a bit fearfully at the thought of getting crushed.
Yuto moves around and holds Misty's hand.
Misty blushes a bit at this.
Yuto looks for where Brock might have went.
"Brock!" Misty calls out.
Yuto searches closely, he then spots Bulbasaur looking angry.
"Oh it's you." Yuto said.
"Wait did it lay those traps?" Misty questions.
"Most likely to keep us out."
"But why?" Misty wonders.
Just then Brock shows up.
"There you guys are." Brock said.
"Brock your okay!" Misty said.
"Yeah. A beautiful girl saved me." Brock said with a lovesick tone and look.
They frowned.
"What girl?" Yuto said.
"Follow me." Brock said.
The two followed him.
He takes them to a wooden cabin where a girl was feeding the Bulbasaur and other pokemon.
"So what's her name?" Yuto said.
"Melanie." Brock said dreamily.
Yuto goes up to her.
"Melanie this is Yuto and Misty." Brock said as she turns to face them
"Greetings." Yuto waves.
"So you're Brock's friends." She smiles with eyes closed.
"Yes. We got worried since he fell inside the river."
"Thanks for saving him." Misty said before looking at the Pokémon "Are they all yours.
"Oh no." Melanie shakes her head.
Yuto looks around.
"This is a place for Pokémon are able to rest and relax." Brock said as he kneels down to a Paras who was eating Pokémon Food and pets it.
Yuto looks at Bulbasaur. "He doesn't seem to like us."
"Bulbasaur is the guardian of this place." Melanie explains.
"For what reason?"
"This place is home to many abandoned and injured Pokémon." Brock said.
"So Bulbasaur was one of those?" Misty asks.
Yuto saw Bulbasaur trying to push him. "Will you stop that. If I were to sent my own Pokémon you wouldn't stand a chance."
Bulbasaur scowls at that. Yuto sighs and brings out some Poképuffs.
"Try some."
Bulbasaur sniffs one before slowly taking a bite, Yuto waits for his reaction.
Bulbasaur then scaffs it down.
"He seems to like it "
"What are those?" Melanie asks.
"Pokepuffs, they're something I learned making out of berries."
"Poképuffs?" Melanie questions.
"From a different region. A friend taught me."
The other Pokémon smells the puffs and goes over to him.
"Good thing I have more." He takes out more.
The wild Pokémon all eat one in delight, he smiles and petted some.
"They really love those." Melanie said smiling.
"I try my best."
"Bulba." Bulbasaur said.
Yuto rubs his scar, Bulbasaur looks at it.
Yuto looks. "Oh this. It was something I got from someone that I thought was a friend."
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said.
"It was... It was another Pokémon that did it." He frowns.
"Bulba?" Bulbasaur questions in surprise.
"Yes. Not from my region but from this, that damn yellow rat." Yuto had a frown as he glares to the side.
"Yellow rat?" Misty questions.
Brock thinks about it. "A pikachu."
"Yes, my father gave me one when I was a kid, I thought we could be partners, friends even, but then in a rain storm... It all changed." Yuto said.
"What happened?" Misty asks.
"I was walking outside before in a cliff it broke and I held on while reaching out to him, but that damn rat smirked and hit me with his tail making me fall."
This shocks them all.
Yuto frowns even more. "I hate Pikachus ever since that day."
"That's awful." Melanie said. "That was a bad Pikachu."
"Yes." Yuto still remembers his father ordering the guards to hunt down that rat for what it did to him.
"How did you survive?" Brock asks.
"With help."
Flashback
A young Yuto was wearing a suit and was outside looking at the ocean at a cliff holding Pikachu who was frowning. He smiles but a storm came fast raining down.
He raises his arms up before they Cliff broke and he falls as the Pikachu was away.
"Pikachu!" Yuto calls out reaching out.
The Pokémon stares before smirking hitting him with his tail, it gave him the wound as he screams failing into the ocean.
It was getting dark before a figure grabs him pulling him out, Yuto was passing out and saw Kuriboh and a black dragon.
Flashback ends
He touches Kuriboh who came to his side.
Kuriboh coos.
"If Kuriboh didn't found me. I wouldn't have survived."
"What happened to that Pikachu after that?" Melanie asks
"He ran away."
"It was never found?" Brock frowns.
"Not yet. But it will appear. No way that rat can survive in that region without help." He said.
"Unless it finds help." Brock said.
"Ha! Good luck, the Pokémon of that region don't like Pokémon from other regions coming." Yuto knows his home better than anyone.
"They don't?" Misty asks concerned.
"Nope. I would believe me if the rat was hidding in some hole."
The pokemon of his region don't like outsiders coming to they're land which is why Pokemon's from other regions don't appear there as some of the only few had to evolve differently to survive.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said.
Yuto looks at him. "I know you don't trust humans... But Pokémon can also be pretty cruel."
"Bulba." Bulbasaur said reluctantly agreeing with Yuto.
Yuto rubbed his head.
"Oh yeah I promised Melanie we will not capture any pokemon here." Brock said.
Yuto shrugs. "Well... That's okay."
"Did you seal it with a kiss?" Misty teases Brock.
He got nervous.
"We'll take that as a no." Yuto said. "Could I let one of mine come out since I just got him from home."
"Sure." Melanie said a bit curious.
He takes out one as he summoned Neo Spacium Glow Moss.
"What Pokémon is that?" Melanie questions in surprise as the Pokémon of the village was also surprised.
"Glow Moss. She's from my region as theres many unique ones."
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur looks at Glow Moss.
Glow Moss tilted her head
"Oh and Brock and Misty wanted to see more of Rock and Water so..." He takes out two. "Come Giant Soldier and Gagagigo." He throws as the two came.
Giant Soldier of Stone and Gagagigo appeared.
"Wow!" Both of them said in awe.
"They are special." Yuto smiles.
Soldier and Gagagigo looks around.
"Gagagigo was my first starter." Yuto added.
"Gagagigo was my first starter." Yuto added.
"Really?" Misty asks curious. "Wait is this after or before the Pikachu?"
"After, I went to get one instead of those things." He looks to the side.
Misty winces.
Soldier looks and saw many of the pokemon like the rattatas and Oddish climb on to his body. He sits down to make it easier for them.
"Giant Soldier is known as a protector. Some wild ones are seen protecting weakened and new born Pokémon." Yuto said.
"Amazing." Melanie said.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said as it recognize it as a fellow protecter.
Brock inspects Giant Soldier.
Giant Soldier looks at Brock curious at what he was doing.
"So what's your opinion?" Yuto asked.
"It seems like a strong Pokemon. While having good attack its defense is its strongest stat." Brock said.
"It also well taken care of."
"Well guys enjoy yourselves." Yuto told his Pokemon.
They nods as Gagagigo goes into the water.
Yuto goes off to check around and he sits near a tree.
Bulbasaur sits by him.
"Surprised you came to see me."
"Bulba." Bulbasaur said.
Yuto patted him. "I know it's hard to trust another. I can feel someone left you, i've felt that feeling a long time ago."
"Bulba." Bulbasaur said sadly.
"Just think about the good things you did. Whoever left you didn't deserve you." Yuto said.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur nods.
He smiles.
He rubs Bulbasaur's head.
They heard a sound and it was a old Mans voice.
"Who is that?" Misty questions.
A old man came out and rubs his head. "Oh my head."
"Professor?" Yuto said.
"You know him Yuto?" Misty said
"Yes, he's the professor of my region." Yuto said.
The man smiles. "Ah Yuto, yes I am Eisenstein!"
"Eisenstein?" Brock asks.
"Yes, I am the Pokemon professor of the region Yuto comes from. I came to research more on this one."
"What are you researching here?" Melanie asks.
"The many different Pokemon before. I just came accross here by accident since there was a slope that I tripped." He rubs his head.
Melanie checks him for any injuries.
"Now what is this place?" He asked.
"My home. I treat Pokémon here." Melanie said.
"Oh I see. Also Yuto I have invented a new discovery for trainers." He said.
Yuto raises a eyebrow at this.
He shows a device that has six orbs with one lit up. "This can swap Pokémon without the need of a PC. Just selecting which you want to switch out quickly and you can exchange them, if you want to add a different option the PC can always be used to alter the options."
"Impressive." Brock said.
"Theres already One, try changing Jirai with it." He said.
Yuto swaps them and throws the new pokeball getting Mystical Elf as she prays.
"Wow. She's more human like." Misty said.
"Oh yeah she's like some from other regions. She was once one called Key Mace before evolving into the Mystical Elf. Her kind are known to pray non stop and charge powerful abilities for defense and assisting others." Yuto explained.
"Amazing." Brock said.
"Yes. She's a good assist Pokémon."
Bulbasaur studies her.
She smiles despite not opening her eyes.
They heard a sound and looked up to see Team Rocket on a flying machine.
"Prepare for trouble!" Jessie starts
"Make it double!" James said next.
"To protect the world from devastation!" Jessie said
"To unite all peoples within our nation!" James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" Jessie said
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" James said
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light! Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" Both of them said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth ends the motto.
"Team Rocket!" Both Misty and Brock shouts in surprise.
"Just great," Yuto frowns.
"Now time to steal all of these Pokémon." Jessie smirks.
The machine landed down and a tube starts to suck like a vacuum.
The Pokémon all started to get sucked up with cries of fear.
"Let them go!" Melanie shouts at Team Rocket.
Mystical Elf was in front and she puts up a barrier to protect many.
"What the heck is this?!" Meowth exclaims in surprise as Bulbasaur catches any Pokémon that was high in the air.
"Who cares, get her instead." Jessie said.
"Go Koffing!" James sends out Koffing.
"Koffing!" It said.
"Gagagigo, water gun!" Yuto said.
Gagagigo fires a burst of water at Koffing.
It sent the Pokémon against the tube making it get blocked.
"Oh no!" James shouts.
It then overloaded the machine and it explodes.
"Team Rocket is blasting off again!" They shout as they fly through the air.
The Pokémon got more relaxed.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said in relief.
They went to the cabin to check on the others.
"Is everyone feeling ok?" Melanie asks the Pokémon.
"Bulbasaur." Bulbasaur said smiling to show it was ok.
"Everyone seems to have been saved." Yuto said.
Melanie then looks at Yuto.
"Yuto, don't you agree that Bulbasaur would be a excellent addition to your time?" Melanie asks surprising him.
"Wait what? But isn't he the protector?" Yuto said.
Melanie then picks up Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur stayed here to protect the weaker Pokémon but this village is too small. The bulb on its back can't grow." She said with closed eyes.
"Hmmm." Yuto thinks about it.
Bulbasaur looks at him.
"If he wants to."
"Bulba." Bulbasaur nods.
"Well we'll have a proper battle then." Yuto said.
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur shouts in agreement.
Yuto gets Kuriboh to face him.
"Kuriboh?" Misty questions.
"He can do it."
Kuriboh coos in agreement.
Kuriboh faces off against him getting ready, Bulbasaur sends out its vines at Kuriboh.
"Kuriboh dodge and use tackle."
Kuriboh dodges the vines and tackles Bulbasaur.
It sent the grass type back.
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur uses Razor Leaf.
"Use multiply."
Kuriboh many clones of himself.
"Multiply?" Melanie questions.
"It's a unique attack Kuriboh has." Brock said.
Kuriboh charged at Bulbasaur.
Bulbasaur fires more razor leaf at them, some got hit but the clones charged.
"Use explosion."
The Kuribohs then start to blow up!
Bulbasaur got sent down defeated as the original Kuriboh stayed. Yuto then throws a pokeball.
It hits Bulbasaur before sucking it into the ball. it then shakes
They waited for the result.
It then stops and makes a ding.
"Yes. I caught Bulbasaur." He lifted the Pokeball up.
Bulbasaur's ball then disappears.
"I'll get you back buddy." Yuto uses the device to swap one for him.
He then brings out Bulbasaur and gives him a oran berry while getting a potion ready.
He enjoys it and Yuto petted his head. "Welcome to the team."
"Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur said excited for the journey.
Yuto looks at Misty. "How is Brock doing?"
Misty looks and sees he was doing his usual lovesick routine with Melanie making her sigh.
"We'll have to drag him." Yuto frowns.
Misty goes and grabs Brock by his ear.
They dragged him and went on with they're adventure.
Note: Yuto got a actual catch being Bulbsaur since he wanted to help him grow, yes Yuto hates Pikachus, because of the one that betrayed him in the past, so he got his starter Gagagigo which started as Gigobyte, then evolved into Jigabyte before becoming Gagagigo, the Giga and Gogiga are too lost in power to be for Yuto, only one form can be used for later. Blaze-Rider-10 well the movies can appear in they're time periods but as for dragons, that's a surprise.
