Chapter 2:
The Gang arrive at Head Quarters. "What's up, Mr. Socrates," asks Velma. They then see Fangface. "Mask?"
"Real werewolf," says Fangface.
"Right," says Velma. She tries to remove his 'mask', but… "Jinkies!"
"I know," says Fangface.
"Listen, this is serious," says Mr. Socrates, "every few thousand years, Earth collides with a tenth planet known as Planet X or simply Nibiru. This event was called 'the Doomsday Event'! During this event, deity-like creatures known as the Anunnaki from Planet X will be able to cross the barrier to visit Earth. Some Annunaki are benevolent and cooperated with humans throughout history, while others were evil and sought to destroy the human race!"
"Werewolves and alien invasions," asks Shaggy, "can I suck my thumb now?"
"Is any of this true," asks Velma.
"Remember that disk piece you found in the Laff-a-Lympics," asks Mr. Socrates, "that is a part of it! During the most recent contact with the Anunnaki, an Evil Entity was captured by its benevolent counterparts and imprisoned inside a crystal sarcophagus for crimes against humanity. Since then, for aeons, the Evil Entity has plotted its escape, possessing animals and manipulating humans in attempts to free itself!"
"Did you say animals," asks Daphne.
"All the talking animals that inhabit our world are descendant from the Anunnaki," says Mr. Socrates.
"You mean Scoob's part alien," asks Shaggy.
"That explains a lot," says Scooby.
"During the Spanish conquest of America, the sarcophagus was found by conquistadors led by Fernando El Aguirre. However, the Evil Entity possessed and controlled them, corrupting them as they ransacked the villages of former allies in search of treasure. However, they were eventually able to resist the Entity's influence enough to hide the treasure," says Mr. Socrates, "they used the Planispheric Disc, a complex guide to mark the location of the sarcophagus, then broke the disc into six pieces, buried in six locations, to prevent future generations from finding the Cursed Treasure. The conquistadors then scattered to the four winds, as were the pieces of the Planispheric Disk."
"Why are you telling us this," asks Fred.
"Because I should have told you in the first place," says Mr. Socrates. He then shows them a footage of Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels fighting over the disk piece. "You must obtain all the other disk pieces! They have been found by other mystery solving groups! It is important that the Evil Entity never returns! During that, Fangface will go to Mystery Island to obtain the Heart of the Jaguar, the only thing that can destroy this entity, should you fail to stop its return!"
"Like, why can't the werewolf dude stop the scary entity thing from coming back," asks Shaggy.
"Because the Temple of Jaguaro has traps you kids couldn't handle," says Fangface.
"The disk pieces… you've seen what they can do before, haven't you," asks Daphne.
There's a pause. "They called themselves the Clue Club. They were a good team. They found a disk piece and it drove them mad. They became obsessed with the Cursed Treasure and then killed themselves! Then there was Butch Cassidey and the Sundance Kids! They were my best agents. The same thing happened. And then there was Fangface's team…"
"I killed my team… including my best friend, Puggsy Colmare," says Fangface.
Scooby places his paw on Fangface to comfort him.
"We'll find the disk pieces," says Fred.
"Try to ignore any temptations you might experience," says Mr. Socrates, "here is a list of the groups you must look for! They have their own… unique mascots!"
"Let's go, Gang," says Fred.
...
The Gang then drive off in their Mystery Machine.
