More than twelve hours had passed since Michael had used his security code to override the ambassador's code, thus stopping the elevator. Dr. Franklin had initially transported both Sheridan and Delenn to the Medlab. While Sheridan had suffered nothing but a mild concussion and a few scratches, the ambassador had had to stay, and Sheridan had found it very difficult to leave Delenn behind, even if he hadn't wanted to admit it to his command staff. After the last few hours in a state of emergency, his mind hadn't yet grasped that he no longer had to keep the Minbari safe from the strangers.

He had retreated to his quarters under protest (Ivanova had made it abundantly clear that she could take care of everything else), showered, and slept for a few hours. Now he, Susan, and Michael were sitting in his office, and his team was briefing him on the recent events.

Garibaldi's men had shot the human Cadir in Brown Sector when he continued to resist. They had caught the other kidnapper shortly afterward as he attempted to flee from the station. The man, a certain Oliver Gallagher, was now sitting in a cell, waiting to be dismantled by Sheridan himself.

Garibaldi had a tape of the surveillance camera in the Brown Sector running on the large monitor.

"So, could we maybe talk again about what a badass move the ambassador made?" he grinned amusedly, fast-forwarding to the scene where Delenn had knocked Sheridan to the ground before Cadir's shots.

Ivanova rolled her eyes, and Sheridan couldn't tear his gaze away from the screen, which showed Delenn deftly knocking him over while PPG shots blasted overhead. He wasn't kidding himself. He owed his survival to the ambassador and her so-called badass move.

"It was just unfortunate that this Cadir was at the exact level you two ended up at," Susan pointed out. "It was really damn close."

"Damn tight and incredibly cinematic to watch," Garibaldi said, amused, having decided to lighten things up a bit. "I mean, you're probably 20 cm taller than Delenn and probably three times as heavy, and she practically knocked you off your feet."

"Thank you, Michael, for that vivid description," sighed Sheridan.

"You're welcome. I think I'll save this recording for research purposes," Garibaldi winked.

Sheridan was about to say something appropriate when Stephen's clearing of the throat made them all turn towards the entrance.

Dr. Franklin came into the office, holding one of his MedPads.

"How is Delenn?" Ivanova asked immediately, probably to end the teasing between the captain and Garibaldi.

Stephen sat down on the sofa next to them.

"Scuffs, bruises, a cut on her cheek, at least one bruised rib, and thanks to that bastard you shot, some hairline fractures on her kidney, which I was able to fix with a minor procedure. She's fine and can be discharged tonight."

Ivanova breathed a sigh of relief, and Sheridan also felt grateful that Delenn would soon be better. Stephen put the MedPad aside and stared at the screen.

"Looking at it like this, I can hardly believe you managed to get her through the supply tunnel in that condition. Her pain must have been hell."

"It was probably his irresistible charm," joked Garibaldi, which earned him dirty looks from everyone present.

"Honestly, Michael. You're incredible," Susan hissed.

"Hey, I'm just glad they both got out of there," Garibaldi replied, now much more serious. "It just wouldn't have been good to lose the captain and the Minbari ambassador in the same day."

Susan rolled her eyes, but Stephen immediately began examining Sheridan.

"How's your head? Does it still hurt?"

"None that are unbearable."

"You should take it easy, although I know this will probably fall on deaf ears, just like it did with Delenn. You two are simply incorrigible when it comes to that."

Sheridan grunted something unintelligible in response.

"He's right," Susan stated, "you should take it easy for the next few days. Maybe you'll even be able to discuss your adventure with Delenn with her."

John looked at her, irritated, and Michael chuckled. "I think that's a very good idea. At least you seem to have put aside your unfriendliness toward her, considering how my security guards and I found you in the elevator. A very nice picture."

"Stop it! This was an exceptional situation," Sheridan replied.

"Maybe. In any case, you two make a handsome couple. Starkiller and Satai Delenn."

Sheridan, Ivanova and Franklin looked at Garibaldi in surprise.

"Come on. As if I, as Chief of Security, don't know who we're dealing with here on the station."

Sheridan couldn't answer that. He felt even worse now that he was obviously harboring more feelings toward Delenn than was appropriate.
