Well. It's been some time. Actually it's been over ten years since I thought I was going to start writing again. I had just graduated college. What a dumb and naive kind of kid I was. I thought I was on top of the world, except I wasn't. I spent over 13 years in the service industry. A college educated person working at a restaurant. The job market sucked. I couldn't get anything in my field of study. It was hard for me to write for a long time.

Oh I still wrote when my life and soul wasn't sucked out of me. Film scripts. Several of them. I tried to enter Coverfly contests but never got far. A few of the better off people who I went to film school with (Folks with actual jobs in the industry) actually wanted to produce one of my first scripts. Unfortunately, that got lost in production hell.

Eventually I settled with the fact life sometimes doesn't work out the way you want it to. That maybe you're just not good at what you thought you were good at. I swallowed my pride and got a trade. It pays well enough and I'm cleaning up some financial stuff that happened as a result of me trying to start my own photography business along with school for the aforementioned trade.

Recently though, now that my mind is clear I was thinking about you all. You see, I had it in the back of my head every now and again over these ten years that someone new would favorite or follow this story. Sometimes multiple in one year. It really astonished me. Maybe it's a bot crawler but I remember people liking my stories and ideas. I could write. I'd been playing text based RPGs since I was a teenager. Prose was in my blood.

I had all these ideas and nowhere for them to go. Films are too expensive and time consuming to make, and scriptwriters are on gate kept status as bad as being a gas-fitter, electrician, or plumber. I just didn't know what to do about it.

Until...

I was at my optometrist for an appointment and we had gotten into a discussion about my trouble finding work in my field. She shared a story of another would be script writer who got their own work shot down but then went to turn them into a successful books series. That got the wheel turning for me.

So, while I won't be continuing this story here on FFN… I am building a Bleach Themed text based RPG. It should be done before Cour 4 of TYBW and I'll be sure to give you all the details. Free to use of course.

However, I digress. I'm here to shamelessly plug my first book. It's currently just in eBook format. I'm working on a Paperback edition, just getting formatting right and need to commission cover additions. So, If you liked my writing back then. You might like the improvements ten years has made.
