Blu woke up to see Jewel cuddled beside him. Wither she did it when she was asleep or not. He was unsure. Jewel woke up next. Her and Blu stared at the other. She didn't utter a word. So, he bit the bullet and asked. "What happens next"?

Jewel gave a shrug. "You tell me. I make a decision you don't like and you might hide again". She didn't mean to sound sharp, but as much as she loves him, she cannot simply get over, him disappearing without a word.

Blu flinched. He didn't blame her. But he did what he thought was right. Obviously, he didn't make the right move. "I'm a hurricane trainee, and Tendai's more terrifying to anger than your dad. So, skipping, mightn't be in my best interest".

Kai who woken up, heard this. "Actually, I told my dad about the new arrivals and he decided you should focus on your wife and kids before anything else. Your suspended, not as punishment, but because you got a lot to deal with".

Blu nodded. "Thanks".

Kai nodded and flew off.

Tiago was the first to wake up. "So, what first".

Carla was next. "I wanted to dye my feathers, but miss killjoy said no".

Then Bia. "I want to learn every detail of this place. The history".

Tiago snorted. "You mean learn. I didn't fly all the way here for that. How about we hang out with Kai. He seems cool".

Blu shook his head. "He's working today".

"He seems cool", admitted Carla. "How is it, dad can make all these cool friends when he isn't anywhere near". Jewel gave Carla a look. "What? It was a compliment".

Rafael decided to give them space. Being here made him miss his own wife and kids. He flew off to explore.

Nigel and Budzo were finished making Carlie build the boat. They were down near the waterfall. Nigel, Gabi and Budzo were about to get on. There wasn't enough room for Charlie, not that he was complaining. He was happy to be away from the 2. In fact, Nigel wanted Gabi out of the way too, but the frog wouldn't take no for an answer.

As for Blu, he was explaining the history of Zambezia. Tiago and Carla weren't thrilled, but the more he went on, the more they took interest. About why it was built. About the hurricanes and what they do. A bit about Kai and Tendai. About how marabous became the final piece of the community.

Tiago made a joke. "That last part is sadder than happy".

Bai gasped. "Tiago! That isn't funny. This kind of discrimination slows down progress. Perhaps if 'Pop Pop' and Felipe got along, the war could have been avoided".

Blu flinched. "How did the tribe cope after losing the game".

Carla snarked. "Great. You were certainly the talk for days". She turned sadder. Only three days were about the Pit of Doom. After you abandoned us, I heard it everywhere, no matter how hard I tried to block it out".

Blu felt ashamed. "You had Roberto, and your Pop Pop and Mimi".

Tiago turned sad next. "They were certainly a comfort, but they couldn't replace the emptiness you left".

Bai nodded. "Every day without you, each one. I can only think about how better they were if you were around. And I wondered if your days were better without us around".

Jewel looked like she was fighting back tears. Blu looked down, but Jewel slowly moved his head back up. "Please, don't look away. I spent enough days without your face. I'm relieved you never hated me. A part of me feared you did. But another part of me is horrified you thought our lives were better off without you".

"I know".

"But I supposed I didn't listen when you tried telling me. I didn't pay attention to your feelings".

Suddenly, Cecil was yelling. "Budzo is alive! And he's on the island. Protect the eggs".

Budzo smirked as he made his way closer to the tree. And Blu was shocked to see Nigel on his back like a horse. "Nigel".

The bird smirked. "Thought you gave me the slip back in the rainforest, did you? But you won't escape now".

Blu was momentarily confused. Nigel was in the rainforest".

For drama, Nigel did a dramatic leap of Budzo and landed in front of Blu.

Cecil and many birds attempted to prevent him, but he knocked them out of the way.

Kia and Zoe landed beside Blu and Jewel. Blu turned to them. "You need to take any bird you can and protect, those eggs. You two and Jewel fly up to them".

"What Blu? I won't leave you".

"I'll be fine Jewel. I beaten him before. Now go".

3 of them flew to the top of the 3. As for Blu and Nigel. Blu went for him, but Nigel knocked him back. Before Blu could respond, Nigel pinned and kept a grip on his neck. "Looks like the chokes on you".

Blu was able to get Nigel off him and deliver a few punches. As for Budzo, birds were throwing things at him, but wouldn't be slowed down. "Your tricks won't work this time". He was getting closer to the eggs. Kai, Zoe, Jewel and Tendai attacked. With their beaks and talons. Causing Budzo pain. Jewel went for another attack. He swiped her into Zoe, knocking both into the tree.

Nigel slammed Blu into the tree. He then delivered a few punches. "You took everything from me"!

"I didn't make you side with the poachers".

Blu looked up and saw Budzo was near the eggs. "Wait here a moment". Blu suddenly flew up. Nigel yelled at him to come back and fight. Blu landed beside Kai and Tendai and told him his plan.

Tendai considered it. "Risky, but it will protect the eggs". The 3 went for a charge, right into Budzo. It took him off balance knocking him off the tree. Nigel saw the falling lizard and barely evaded.

Budzo was off the tree, but unfortunately, landed on top of Tendai. "Dad"!

Before Blu could respond, Nigel pinned him again. Kai quickly knocked him off. But Kai learned Nigel was strong and was unable to keep him down.

Blu wanted to intervene but an injured Budzo was in his way. "I understand now why Nigel hates you so much. I promised I would let him kill you, but I can cause you serious pain". Thankfully for Blu, Budzo was weakened from his fall and easier to battle.

Gabi was concerned for Nigel and was watching from the sidelines. "Maybe I can Poison Blu and Kai. And 'accidently' poison Budzo".

"You aren't poisonous".

Gabi saw Blu's kids beside her. It was Bai who answered.

"I'm not"?

"No. You're a tree frog. You're type resembles poisonous dart frogs so predators won't attack but I can tell the difference".

"But my parents told me I was poisonous and shouldn't touch anyone".

Carla replied. "Huh, you just have really mean parents".

Gaba was delighted. That meant there was no barrier to prevent her and Nigel from being together.

Kai and Nigel kept at it. Each got a punch on the other. Nigel delivered a hard one, Kai was stunned. But quickly recovered and gave him the hardest punch yet. Knocking out Nigel.

As for Budzo, he finally pinned Blu. "You know something, I am gonna kill you myself and I'll enjoy it".

"Blu, no"! Jewel rushed to save her husband but was swatted away.

Ceci and Rafael was able to organize the birds. Cecil gave the order. "In a single unit, attack"! Bird after bird, went for Budzo, some pecked, others used their talons. It became too much and he fled. With birds after him, he made his way to the boat. Not planning on recovering Nigel. Budzo liked him, but not enough to fight to get him out of there. They didn't bother chasing after him".

As for Blu, Jewel fussed over him like there was nobody else in miles.

"Don't worry Jewel, I'm sore, but I'll recover".

"Dad"!

They saw Kai was checking on Tendai.

"I'm okay son. 'Argh'. But I won't be flying for a few weeks".

Chief Sekhuru nodded. "Considering that fall should have killed you, I'm amazed you'll recover. Not that I'm complaining".

Kai and everybody else was relieved.

Rafael raised his wings. "We won. That means we party"!

Zoe pointed at Nigel. "What do we do with him"?

Tendai answered. "Since he is a bird, we here have the power to put him on trial".
