In the white void, Toshineko and the others looked at Sidious with an annoyed expression as he told the story. "You ever hear of the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"
Just as Agent Itachi was about to speak, Sidious interrupted him. "I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. You see, Darth Plagueis is the Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise, he could use the Force to influence the Midiclorians to create… li-"
"Ok, ok," Toshineko said, his voice getting high-pitched when he interrupted. "Sidious, I'm going to have to stop you right there. We've already heard this story about a million times."
"Oh, come on, guys, it's a cool story!" Sidious said, his tone very defensive. "It worked on turning Darth Vader to the Dark Side."
"That's all well and good, Sidious," Agent Haena said. "but when you tell the same story over and over like you're some broken record player, then it kind of loses the same effect."
"But what if someone like Darth Vader forgets about the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?" Sidious said, shrugging his arms. "How would I gain control of the galaxy?"
"Master, your habit of telling this story borders on obsession!" Vader said.
"I'd rather let my father tell me great stories about Fire Lord Sosin than listen to someone like you," Azula said.
"Come on, guys, I was merely trying to have fun!" Sidious said. "Isn't that what Toshineko taught us?"
"Well, yes, but, telling the same tragedy over and over is not my idea of fun," Toshineko said. "If anything, I'd rather play blitz chess against Moriarty."
"Where is he, anyway?" Toffee said.
"Just another lecture he has to attend. Apparently, the student named Peter got caught sneaking out of class."
"Uh-huh."
"Damn… It really has gotten crowded in here, hasn't it?" Crocodile said before smoking his cigar. "I'm not sure we can survive in such a small space."
"Well, it's no surprise that YOU are talking," Azula said, making Crocodile glare in response.
"And what does that supposed to mean?"
"Well, it's the stench from your cigar. It's really making the entire room a health hazard. How about you give the Fire Princess some?"
"Absolutely not. You're far too young for my lovely cigar."
"Besides," Kitsune said, blowing a puff of smoke from Crocodile's cigar, "a mere human's ability of storytelling is nothing compared to the tragedy of General Idiofya."
"Oh?" Sidious said, grinning. "Does that include the part where he got killed in his sleep as well as abilities some considered to be… unnatural?"
"No, Sidious. It merely includes our general's genius in taking him down and making him realize the error of his ways," Kitsune said before he and Crocodile laughed.
"I swear, if either one of you keeps smoking," Xanatos said. "I might have to summon a health inspector here."
"At least we didn't get to smoke in my world," Toffee said.
Their conversation was interrupted when they heard footsteps. They turned to see a new guest who had arrived. He was a tall and imposing man, or rather… ape, given his facial appearance, who had a large white beard and a mysterious hat with a green colored eye on it, which also covered his own eyes. The military uniform he wore reminded Itachi of the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. On top of his uniform is a large, lavish coat that flew in the wind. He also wore large black boots that nearly came up to his knees with Spurs.
"Where in Muttrad am I?" he said, his voice cold, calm, and deep with the right aura that screamed 'ruthless'. "I swear, if this is Princess Ilana's doing, I will make her pay with her life. I wonder if I could take off this hat and see where I am in full view? Nah… that would take away the intimidation factor." He then noticed everyone and pointed at them. "You… pitiful little worms."
"Pitiful worms?" Toffee said.
"I'll make this easy for you. Tell me where I am, or be annihilated."
"Another over-dramatic entrance, I see?" Toshineko said, chuckling.
Azula gave the new guest her condescending smirk. "You sure could use some good old makeup, ape-human. I've seen lunch ladies who look more appealing than you."
"Be silent, little girl. You will speak to me with respect."
"If laughter is the best medicine, then your ape face must be curing the world."
Toshineko's agents went, "Oh! Burn!"
"Careful. Or I'll make you beg for your life on your knees," he said as the green eye in his hat began to glow.
"Bold words from a guy who's about to learn his place," Azula said, summoning her flames.
"Ok, ok, guys, this is enough!" Toshineko said, gaining their attention. "I love roasting each other and all, but we don't have time for this. Let me introduce ourselves, your highness," Toshineko said, bowing down to her, who rolled her eyes.
"Fine. Proceed."
"Greetings, my friend. I am Toshineko Hirozaki. And these are my agents, Haena, Kitsune, Itachi, Ookami and… Wait, where is Sharpwolf?"
"Oh, yeah, we forgot to tell you, general," Itachi said. "Sharpwolf and her male prisoner have requested more fun time in their room. Aaand we kind of granted it. Sorry for that."
Toshineko sighed. "Whatever. Anyway, this is Sir Crocodile, David Xanatos, Princess Azula, Toffee, Darth Vader, and Darth Sidious."
"Hmmm… Interesting," the new guest said, stroking his beard. "And what planet are you all from?"
That made everyone cock their heads. "Uh… excuse me?" Haena said.
"What… planet are you from?"
"Well, uh… Earth, I guess."
"What? No, that can't be right," Crocodile said. "I'm from Earth, too."
"Aren't I from Earth as well?" Azula said.
"Silence!" the new guest snapped. "You are testing my patience."
"Calm down, sir," Toshineko said. "We're from different versions of Earth. That's all." After he regained his composure, he gave a friendly smile. "And, who might you be, sir?"
"I am General Modula, the leader of the Muttraddi Army. I am from the planet called Galaluna. I was once a good friend of their king. I was once trying to fight against Muttrad with the king. But during the battle, I was stranded. And, after the king and his army left me behind…"
"Left you?" Itachi said, his eyes widening. "That can't be true, you two were fr-"
"LEFT me behind," Modula interrupted, raising his voice. "I was forced to find a way to reason with the beasts of Muttrad. To stay alive amongst them."
"Beasts, huh?" Xanatos said, smiling and looking intrigued. "Are these beasts perhaps… gargoyles?"
Modula cocked his head. "Gargoyles?"
"Yes. You know, creatures who come to life during the night, shirtless, wearing only their loincloth, and having wings?"
"Are you coming on to me?" Modula said.
Xanatos's eyes widened. "What? Uh, no, I-I meant creatures who come to life to haunt the night and… You know what? Nevermind. Forget I asked."
"Hmmm… I have not heard of these… 'gargoyles' you speak of. Are they… special?"
"Special?"
"Yes. You know, the kind of creatures that would be powerful enough to kill the princess?"
"Uh… well… depends on who the princess is, I guess."
"So, it seems you have not heard of Galaluna, huh?"
"We do not, sir," Toshineko said. "Tell us more about your mission."
"Very well. You see, after the king and his army left me behind, I managed to reason with the beasts of Muttradd to turn them into my side. I wanted to have revenge on him for leaving me behind by taking over Galaluna. Unfortunately, during the invasion, the princess escaped. After doing some… persuasion on the king, I found out that he mastered the space rift technology."
"Space rift?" Vader asked.
"Yes. It's the technology that can summon a white hole that would transport one to another planet."
"So, kind of like going into hyperspace, right?" Sidious said.
"Hyperspace?"
"Yes. The dimension that can help you travel at the speed of light."
"Hmmm… Interesting. I wonder if I could perfect this technology. Anyway, where was I? … Oh, yes. I kept sending my creatures to Earth to kill the princess. I even had sent a little one that had the power to destroy an entire planet."
"You mean… the Death Star, right?" Sidious said.
"... What is a Death Star?"
"Augh… Never mind."
"Anyway, all of these creatures had performed very poorly. And so, I came to my hideout to file a complaint."
"A complaint?" Itachi said, raising his eyebrow.
"Yes. The scientist named Durock showed me the tour, hoping that I could find something special."
"Special?"
"Are you having a problem understanding me, Itachi?"
Itachi cocked his head. "Understanding you?"
"Yes. You are repeating every one of my questions. It infuriates me."
The agents all looked worried. "Uuuh…"
"By the way, what was that glowing eye on your hat?" Azula said. "Are you some kind of beastbender?"
"What?"
"Have you eaten the Eye Devil Fruit?" Crocodile asked.
"Have you gained the power of magic?" Toffee asked.
"Um… What do you mean? I created it myself."
"So, you didn't have any eye hat guy do it for you?" Toshineko said.
"No. Nothing like that."
Toshineko smiled. "Well, I'd love to have one of those myself. My hat could sure use some intimidation."
"Nice coat, by the way," Crocodile said.
"Thank you. Beautiful, isn't it?"
"So, who are these beasts like, Modula? Are they intelligent?" Toshineko asked.
"Well, not quite. I've tried to find more with a bit more… intelligence. But somehow, they all failed me right after the other. I even sent a Kaiju-level monster on Earth who had enough power to destroy entire cities, and yet, somehow, it failed. If only I can find a creature that won't fail me… and she will be crushed."
"Well… Have you tried framing the princess?" Crocodile asked.
"Framing the princess?"
"Yeah. I had my Baroque Works agents infiltrate the Royal and Rebel Army, and had them frame the king of Alabasta to make himself look bad so that I can rule the kingdom as a beloved ruler."
"Beloved? I prefer the term… feared."
"Come now, Modula," Sidious said. "Wouldn't it be best if you earn the respect of the Galalunians after you take over?"
"I don't need their respect. All I need… is for their spirit to be crushed."
"Well, you're going to have a here of uphill battle," Toshineko said. "Even in my world, my arch enemy, Lucario, managed to keep the spirits of Carmonia and Audia intact."
"Have you tried using the Force?" Vader asked.
"Force? Force them to do what?"
"No, not that kind of force. I meant a mystical power that works like magic. Have you tried using the Force Choke?"
"No, I haven't. How do you even do that?"
"Well, all it takes for you to make a dramatic hand gesture at someone, and then…" Vader used the Force Choke on Toffee, who gasped for air as he widened his eyes.
"Ack! W-what did I do this time?"
Azula, Xanatos and Modula smirked with amusement. "Well, well, this is… entertaining."
"Vader!" Sidious said.
"Oh, right, sorry, master," Vader said before releasing Toffee, who coughed.
"What the hell, Vader?"
"Very impressive, Vader. Perhaps I could use it as a form of persuasion. However, I would still like to rely on creatures who would not fail me."
"How about I give you some, Modula?" Xanatos said. "I'm a rich guy leading a rich company, and I can have my scientists create the best creatures on Earth to destroy the princess. It worked for me when I made robotic gargoyles."
"Wait, wait, wait, you can create gargoyles yourself, Xanatos?" Haena said.
"Of course. There is nothing I cannot do."
"Ok. And how special are they?" Modula said, smirking.
"Well, they can possess amazing intelligence, can fly, have supernatural powers and take down any enemy in a single stroke. Including the princess. How does that sound?"
"Very impressive. But… are they big enough? Are they strong enough?"
Xanatos cocked his head. "Um… Well, they're not… super big. But they all look like they've been working out at the gym. So, does that count?"
Modula simply stared at Xanatos. Well, if he could even do that, with the hat covering his eyes. "I think I'll pass."
"Have you tried using the Septarian monsters?" Toffee asked.
"Septarian monsters?"
"The monster that I'm a part of. We possess greater intelligence and can regenerate any wounds. We can also communicate like humans do. And I can be your strategic kind of guy. Maybe even manipulate the princess."
Modula flashed his teeth when he smiled. "Yes. Now THIS. This is something special."
"Well, my monsters are not the most special in terms of size."
Modula's smile wavered. "They're not?"
"Well… Some of them can be… rather dumb and are hunks of garbage to put it nicely. In fact, I say I manage to easily manipulate them and turn them to my side."
"... I think I'll pass on this opportunity."
Toffee sighed. "Very well, then."
"How did you manage to reason with the beasts of Muttradd anyway?" Itachi asked. "Have you used some… brainwashing and intimidation?"
"Something like that. But I happen to have a good Muttraddi teacher. He taught me a lot," Modula said, smiling. "That Galalingo app helped me as well."
Itachi smiled in response. "Awesome!"
"May I have a question?" Crocodile said. "You mentioned that the Muttraddi continued to fail you. Have you tried feeding them to your beasts for their mistakes?"
Modula stroked his beard, considering Crocodile's response. "Now that you mentioned it. I haven't actually thought about that. I guess using my powers isn't enough to spread fear among my subordinates."
"Well, if they ever fail you again, Modula," Vader said. "Always try to Force Choke. Or throw them out of the airlock."
"Oh, oh, how about you have the beasts torture them?" Sidious said.
"I have a better idea, Sidious," Azula said. "Burn their face off! Give them a permanent reminder of their failures and make them wish they want to die!"
Modula flashed a big smile at Azula's suggestion. "Yes… That would be… special."
"How about you destroy all magic and make them powerless?" Toffee said, earning him a baffled stare from everyone. "What? It works, doesn't it?"
"Hmm… I suppose it does. I might give it a try," Modula said.
"And while you're at it, tell Princess Ilana about the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise," Sidious said, making everyone except Modula moan. "That always works."
"Darth who?"
"Oh, come now, you never heard of a tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"
"I do not."
"I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend."
"Hold on a second. Jedi? Sith?"
"Darth Plagueis is the Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wi-"
"SIDIOUS!" Toshineko snapped, startling Sidious.
"Oh! Sorry, sorry."
"No, no, continue, Sidious," Modula said. "I'd like to know more. It sounds very… special," he said, smirking, making everyone groan and roll their eyes as Sidious smiled.
"Excellent. You see… Darth Plagueis is the Dark Lord…" As Sidious continued the story, Vader was seen tapping on his iPhone while Azula and Toshineko played tic-tac-toe, and Crocodile simply smoked his cigar to pass the time.
After Sidious finished, Modula's smile came back. "Hmmm… Very special indeed, Sidious."
Toshineko and Crocodile turned back. "Oh, thank Arceus it's over…" Toshineko said. "I almost died from boredom."
"I've been bored before," Crocodile said.
"I never knew just how ruthless Plagueis and his apprentice was," Modula said. "His Sith health care plan, as well as his ruthless accounting office, has made himself quite special."
"What about the cooking recipes?" Vader asked.
"No, Vader, we're not doing that again," Sidious said, sternly. Everyone looked shocked.
"Wait a minute," Toshineko said. "You actually told a different story about Plagueis? Why didn't you tell us that earlier?"
"Because you interrupted me while I was giving an award-winning story," Sidious said.
"Oh…"
"Yeah, 'oh'."
"If 'boring' was a sport, then you'd be the undeniable champion," Azula said.
"Burn!" Toshineko's agents said.
"Shut up, guys!" Sidious said.
"At least I didn't make fun of his face," Modula said.
"How did you manage to get the beasts to obey you, anyway, Modula?" Toshineko said. "Have you made sure they wouldn't turn on you?"
"I'm not sure what you mean by that."
"Well, usually, the beasts in Hyenastan," Haena answered for Toshineko, "aren't tameable. Aren't you worried that the beasts in Muttradd might turn on you? Perhaps by giving you life-lasting scars, impaling you through your heart, or eating your entire body?"
Everyone stared at Haena, like he had gone completely insane. "Dude… too much description," Crocodile said.
"Even by my standards, that is disgusting," Toffee said.
"Uuuuh… No. All it took was some military propaganda, a little bit of persuasion, then suddenly, they like me," Modula said.
"Ooooh, impressive," Sidious said. "Will you be able to achieve unlimited power?"
"Well, I'm not quite there yet. But my hat has served me well."
"Speaking of that hat, it looks like my eyes," Toshineko said. "If only I could make it look that threatening, I'd be unstoppable!"
"Oh, please, with that outfit of yours, no chance," Azula said, rolling her eyes.
"Wow, that insult was as good as my self-esteem," Toshineko said, smiling and leaving Azula speechless, which surprised his agents.
"Oh shit!" Agent Itachi said.
"Ku ah ah ah. What a comeback," said Crocodile.
Azula then smirked. "I must admit, Toshineko, I'm impressed. Not one person I know of could counter my roast like that."
"I've been practicing roasts myself, Your Highness. At least I don't look like a Godfather-wannabe like Crocodile over there," Toshineko said, pointing at him.
Crocodile widened his eyes in shock, then growled. "Careful, Toshi. Or you will meet the same fate as Azula's!"
"Thanks, Croc, but I don't accept unsolicited feedback," Toshineko said, surprising Toffee, offending Crocodile, impressing Azula, and Toshineko's agents.
"Damn! How the hell did you get so witty, Toshi?" Xanatos said.
"I've had to study conversations in the shadows. PawTube videos and websites give bullshit advices."
"Care to share some more… special comebacks, Toshineko?" Modula asked.
"Cut it off, Modula," Toffee said, looking annoyed. "We got it the first time."
"Nah. I'd rather read the room and learn my place than go down that road," Toshineko said.
"Oh, please, Toshineko," Azula said, her tone excited. "roast this ape-human, I really want to see it!"
"Silence your tongue, little one," Modula said, his normally calm tone growing more aggressive.
Azula just smiled condescendingly at Modula. "Oh yeah? Make me."
Toshineko laughed. "Y'know, Modula, I like you, you look and sound like a general who can use his tactics to conquer anything. I hope you'll get to destroy the princess."
Modula nodded. "I hope so, too. One day, a creature won't fail me, and she'll be crushed…"
Suddenly, they heard rapid footsteps from a person who looked like an alien frog, but only if he lived in a cave in prehistoric times. The frog creature bowed to Modula. "Sire, there's urgent news."
Modula turned his head, startled. "You? How did you get in here? … Hmmm… On second thought, never mind. What is it, now?"
"We've received words from Cartoon Network executives. Apparently, the show that featured us has not sold enough toys or merchandise. As such, they've decided to cancel the series."
"What? You're sure?"
"Yes, my lord. Our conquest of Galaluna has failed. And abandoned."
"No… This… this cannot be. Are you serious about this? Or are you messing around with me?"
"It is the truth, sire!"
"Hmmm… Very well, then. Leave at once."
"Yes, my lord," the creature said before he turned and left, leaving Modula to frown as everyone looked at each other, as if they're trying to think of a way to comfort him.
"Hmmm, great… All of my hard work. My leadership. The paperwork. The conquest of Galaluna. My revenge on the king. Gone. What do I do now?"
Toshineko looked at everyone, smiled and nodded, then looked back at Modula. "You know, General Modula, we could use your military mind to help us out."
Modula turned. "What do you mean?"
"We've been conspiring to conquer the multiverse, and we were wondering if you would like to join us."
Modula widened his hat-covered eyes. "Conquer the multiverse? Hmmm… When you put it that way… That sounds…" Modula smiled as he said, "... Special. Very well." He then frowned as he glared at Azula. "But I warn you, Azula, if you disrespect me again, I'll make sure you pay the price for your insolence with your life."
"Ooooh, I'm shaking," Azula said, rolling her eyes at him. "I've seen old ladies who are more threatening than you."
Crocodile closed his eyes. "Let's just hope she won't roast me again…"
"I highly doubt it, to be honest," Toffee said. "Azula has the unfortunate tendency to roast anybody she pleases."
"Welcome, Dark Lord Modula," Sidious said.
"Hmmmm, yeeesss… Dark Lord Modula… I like it. Ominous… and-"
"Yes, 'special', we know."
"Well, I guess with this, we'll end today's episode, our dear readers," Vader said. "If you like this episode, please give it a fave or follow this channel where you can find new episodes like these every single week. See you soon, and as always, for the Toshineko Army."
