Group 1 had gone down the hallway into Peach's room.
"So, Peach," started Pauline, "Tell us how your room is going to protect us from thousands of zombies?"
"Let me show you," Peach said, and she opened a small compartment in her bed. There was a keypad. She entered the 20 digit code and the painting above her bed slid open. A tunnel was behind the painting.
"Come on, it's safe, I promise," said Peach. The gang followed her closely as they navigated the twists and turns of the tunnel. Once they reached the end of the tunnel, they found themselves in some sort of armory.
"DANG PEACH! Where'd you get all of this stuff?" asked Morton. Peach didn't respond and instead went over to the gun rack. She paused and turned around.
"You guys gonna get weapons or…" she started, before everyone ran over and grabbed whatever weapon they could. This is what they ended up with.
Mario: Sword
Luigi: Axe
Peach: Rifle
Daisy: Handgun
Rosalina: Katana
Pauline: Spiked Mace
Wario: Baseball Bat
Bowser: Fishing Spear
Wendy: Throwing Knives
Diddy Kong: Pistol

Goomba: Bucket of Bombs

Cappy: Rocket Launcher

After everyone had been suited up, they crawled back through the vent back into Peach's room.
"So, Peach, what are we going to do?" asked Cappy.
"If we're going to escape, we've got to make a stand. We have to fight our way out." she replied.
"W-Wait I-I don't want to die! What if I die? I don't wanna DIIIIIEEE!" yelled Wendy and she started ugly crying. Bowser stabbed his spear into her neck, and she coughed up blood. Everyone gasped.
"BOWSER!" screamed Daisy. "That's your daughter!"
"Oh well, she's an ugly brat anyways and she probably wouldn't have helped us," replied Bowser. "I figured I'd kill her now."
"Yeah, I get that, she's so annoying, especially back at the castle." said Goomba.
"When was he in this group?" asked Bombette, pointing to the small shiitake mushroom.
"Everyone stop! They're here!" screamed Watt. "They're right outside the door!"
"Quick, give them someone to eat so we can kill them!" shouted Hammer Bro. Bowser picked up his daughter's dead body, opened the door, and threw her outside. All of the zombies' attention was now on the corpse, and the entire group snuck outside of the room. Everyone began slicing, stabbing, shooting, and shocking the crowd of zombies until they were all dead.
"YES! We did it! Let's leave now!" cried Hammer Bro. Little did he know, there was a zombie that hadn't been killed behind him. The zombie dug its teeth into Hammer Bro's neck, and he screamed in agony. Goombario took his gun and shot both Hammer Bro and the zombie in the head.
"YOU IDIOT!" shouted Goombella. "We could have saved him!"
"Goombella, he was already turning. I had to do it to save our lives." replied Goombario. Goombella realized the situation at hand, and she nodded.
"Now come on, let's head down the hall and try and find a new spot to hide for a bit." said Peach, and the group followed their leader to a safe spot.
Group 2 had been relaxing in the billiard room after feeding Lakilulu and Fire Bro to the kitchen zombies. Donkey Kong and Lakilester had barricaded the door to the kitchen to make sure those zombies were contained.
"Okay guys did anyone grab anything from the kitchen before we left?" asked Dry Bones.
"I did." replied Larry and he held up a rolling pin. "That's the closest we have to a weapon."
"What about this?" said Zip Toad as he held up a meat cleaver. Tiny Kong also produced a meat cleaver, and Birdo held a frying pan.
"I got a cheese grater!" cheered Petey.
"SHHH! EVERYONE BE QUIET!" yelled Arfur.
"No, you be quiet! The zombies are right outside!" whispered Birdo, and she pointed to the other door that was wide open.
"I'll close the door!" said Arfur, trying to make up for what he had just done. He ran over to the door, and the zombies heard his footsteps. They jumped on top of Arfur. The Doogan tried to push the zombies off, but they tore into his chest. Arfur screamed and cried out in pain. Zip Toad and Tiny ran over to him and slashed up the zombies, but there were too many. One of them bit Zip Toad on the arm and he fell over. The zombies crawled over to him and pulled him into their pile. Tiny tried to chop off the arm, but the zombie was too quick. Zip Toad was quickly eaten.
"ZIP TOAD! MY LOVE!" screamed Mona.
"Wait, I thought you were with-" Boo uttered, but Mona cut her off.
"Wario? No, I dumped him a while back. I love Zip Toad, we've been together for six months! And now, he's dead…I have nothing to live for…," cried Mona. Miss Mowz slapped her.
"Listen up Rosy! You are going to snap out of it, get up, and kill all of those zombies! Avenge Zip Toad! Survive for HIM!" yelled Miss Mowz.
Mona wiped her eyes and got up. "Yeah…Yeah I will!" She exclaimed and ran over to the pile of zombies. Tiny Kong was still trying to kill the zombies, and she wasn't doing well. They had clawed off some of the skin on her arm.
Mona grabbed the cleaver from the ground and jumped onto the zombies, stabbing and punching and slashin at whatever life forms she saw. Meanwhile, Tiny had been pulled onto the ground by the zombies, and Mona had stabbed her in the stomach, and then cut her forehead open, and crushed her windpipe with a punch. Mona fought off the zombies remarkably well, until two of the final five zombies bit her ribs and tore her apart. Her blood and intestines flew everywhere.
"GUYS! RUN!" yelled Birdo and everyone slipped past the zombies and into the study.
The third group traveled down another hallway with rooms of all sorts.
"And here's the ballroom. Ooh, and this right here is the tiara room…" Toad rambled. Iggy groaned.
"Where's the science room? I wanna make a chemical bomb to kill these zombies!" he exclaimed.
"Oh…um, we don't have a science room…" Toad murmured.
"WHAT?" screamed Iggy. "WHAT KIND OF CASTLE DOESN'T HAVE A SCIENCE LAB?"
"Actually you said room." Monty Mole corrected.
"KAMMY, DISINTEGRATE THE MOLE!" screamed Iggy. His eyes were red and his glasses were falling off of his face.
"Of course Master Iggy!" said Kammy and she zapped Monty, turning him into a pile of dust.
"AND ZAP THIS LITTLE MUSHROOM TOO!" Iggy screamed.
BANG!
Iggy dropped to the ground, dead. Toad stood with a handgun and blew the smoke off of the gun.
"URRAAAGHHH!" roared Kammy and she fired multiple lasers at Toad. Toadette pulled out a shield and reflected the lasers. One hit the wall, sizzling open a large hole. Another hit the chandelier, which fell on top of Bow and killed her. The last one burned a hole right through Toadina's head.
"GUYS STOP! THE ZOMBIES ARE HERE!" yelled Yoshie. Everyone turned and screamed at the sight of the zombies pouring through the hole.
"We're trapped! The only other way out is through the party room, and that's infested too!" shrieked Kylie.
"I got this!" Kamek said. He conjured up a bomb and everyone got behind him. He lit it and threw it at the zombies. Without warning, one of the zombies grabbed the bomb and threw it at the group.
"OH-" screamed Kamek before he exploded, along with Kylie and Sushie.
"We have to go through the party room! Let's go now!" exclaimed Nabbit, and the survivors ran off, hoping not to die.
A/N: So that's Chapter 2. I know I killed off a lot of characters, but if I want this story to advance, then I need to start killing people off more. These surviving characters will most definitely have backstory and there will be more talking and less running. The next chapters after this one will most likely have a few deaths, but not as many as this chapter.
