Group 1 continued down the hallway, terrified for the inevitable moment of their deaths.
"HEY!" said Diddy Kong. "That's not nice! You never know who might survive!"
The monkey was then seized by a force unknown to him. He was told to never mess with the Creator. His head was then squished to a pulp and he fell to the ground, dead.
"AHHH! DIDDY KONG!" screamed Dixie. "I can't believe that just happened in front of my own eyes!"
"And that's why I stay quiet!" Bombette said. Suddenly, zombies flooded from the rooms behind the group.
"You're doing this on purpose limabean10463!" said Bombette. She was then thrown back into the zombies, but luckily, she escaped.
"Phew!" she breathed. The group ran down the hallway and into another room. It seemed to be an art gallery, with a bunch of paintings hanging on the walls. Everyone "oohed" and "aahed" at the beautiful paintings and artwork. Bowser, Wiggler, and Roy took some furniture and blocked off the door. They were safe, for now.
"So, since we're all most likely going to die…how about we get to know each other a little better?" Cappy inquired. Everyone seemed to like the idea.
"I'll go first. I'm Wario, I run WarioWare Inc. and I love garlic." said Wario, and everyone groaned.
"No, what I'm saying, is that we open up and tell everyone things that we've never told anyone!" said Cappy.
"Yeah, I'd like to know a few things about someone." Daisy said, gesturing to Luigi. Luigi broke into a cold sweat.
"How about no?" he asked, but everyone else wanted to play.
"Okay, Luigi, how about you start?" asked Cappy. Luigi gulped and nodded.
"Um…well…uhh…Daisy…I-I've been…" he stuttered, trying to stall.
"WHAT? WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN DOING?" Daisy pressured.
"I've been cheating on you with PAULINE!" Luigi shouted.
"WHAT?" Daisy screeched. She lunged at Luigi, slapping him and kicking him and hitting him. "YOU WANT THAT FREAK OVER ME?"
"DON'T CALL ME A FREAK, FREAKISH FLOWER PRINCESS!" Pauline shouted at her.
"Girls, stop!" Luigi tried to intervene, but he couldn't make them stop.
Daisy suddenly pulled her gun on Pauline. "Don't make me use this." she said sternly. Pauline didn't say a word. Instead, she grabbed her mace, slammed it against Daisy's temple, grabbed her handgun and shot her dead in the forehead. Daisy fell to the ground, dead already.
"DAISY! NO!" cried Peach. She loaded her rifle and shot Pauline in the chest. Pauline fell backwards, laughing before she died.
"Well…that's over with." Goombario shrugged. They sat in silence for a few minutes, before moving the bodies and going to another part of the room.
Group 2 had entered the study with the zombies close behind. Birdo herded everyone into the room before shutting it. What she didn't realize was that she had left someone outside.
"WAIT! BIRDO! You left me out here!" screamed E. Gadd. "I need to come in!" Birdo had already walked away from the door, and E. Gadd turned around in horror as the zombies dug into him.
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Everyone gasped at the scream, but it was normal now, since everyone was dying.
"So, why is everyone here?" asked Geno.
"For the party!" everyone else said.
"Yeah, but is there any other reason why you showed up? Like Bowser's minions, why did you guys show up?" Geno asked back.
"Well…I came here to steal Peach's diamonds when nobody was looking." Miss Mowz admitted.
"I came for the food and to see Wiggler. We haven't been on good terms lately and I came to apologize." Blooper said.
"And I came to apologize to Peach for leaving her in the middle of the woods during our camping trip," said Birdo. Everyone looked at her in disgust.
"How did you forget her?" Donkey Kong asked.
"There was a pink pillow in the passenger seat and I guess I was talking to myself for the whole eight hour car ride." Birdo replied.
"You monster! You left her in the woods for eight whole hours?" Ludwig asked.
"She didn't come home until like three days later. I guess she stopped at a hotel and took a vacation or something." Birdo said.
"BIRDO! SHE WALKED for THREE DAYS!" screamed Yoshi.
"Oh…" said Birdo. "Now I really wanna apologize…"
Group 3 snuck back through the party room. There was a winding stairwell in the middle of the floor and they all ran up it at top speed. When they got upstairs, they found a small room, fit for four Toads to stay in. There was a couch, a bed, and a television. Starlow turned on the T.V. and everyone gathered around.
"Breaking news! The castle of our beloved Princess Peach has been put on lockdown due to a zombie virus that has infiltrated the castle. The party guests inside have been reported to be "fighting for their lives." Our own star reporter, Jojora Kellings, is trapped inside. When texted with questions, she responded, 'I am stuck inside of this castle with a bunch of people and there are weird zombies inside. Please help, I'm begging you. I don't want to die. Many people have been killed and there are only a few of us left.' This text was sent thirteen minutes ago and she has already given us an update that another has fallen. This is Channel 79 News, and you're watching Mushney Channel."
"So Jojora is alive!" exclaimed Toadette. "That means that there's still hope! We have to find the other groups."
"Guys look! I did some searching and I think I found a vent. We can try and split up to find everyone." Bowser Junior explained.
"Great! How many ways can we go?" Professor Frankly asked.
"Four. Two groups of three and two groups of two." Bowser Junior replied.
"Alright, I'll go with Toadette. Junior, you go with Nabbit. Yoshie, Starlow, and Funky Kong can go together, and then Kammy, Frankly, and Bobbery can take the last way." Toad said, sorting everything out. Everyone got into their groups and they all climbed into the vents.
"Good luck!" Yoshie called, before they all went their separate ways.
Toad and Toadette crawled through the vents, trying not to make any noise. They had climbed over a hoard of zombies, and there were a bunch of grates that they could fall through. Suddenly, the grate underneath Toadette opened, and she grabbed it before she fell into the zombies.
"TOAD! HELP!" she screamed.
"I'm trying! Grab my hand!" Toad said and stuck out his hand. She took her hand off of the grate and grabbed Toad's hand. However, Toad's hand was sweaty, and her hand slipped while Toad tried to pull her up. The weight of Toadette falling tore Toad from the vent and the two mushrooms fell into the hoard of zombies who caught them and started to tear them apart.
A/N: I only wanted to do one of the vent group's points of view and I wanted to get rid of the Toads because it would help advance the plot. Next chapter, one of the groups will leave their room (or vent) and make a run for the outside world to escape.
