Characters: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Birdo, Rosalina, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser, Bowser Junior, Ludwig, DK, Dixie Kong, Petey Piranha, Kooper, Boo, Dry Bones, Nabbit, Blooper, Larry, Roy, Morton, Goomba, Funky Kong, Cappy, Wiggler, Toadsworth, Bobbery, Bombette, Kammy Koopa, Goombario, Goombella, Lakilester, Miss Mowz, Watt, Vivian, Yoshie, Jojora, Starlow, Geno, Professor Frankly, Peeka
Group 1 was still mourning over the loss of Daisy. Pauline…eh, not so much.
"OH DAISY! WHY?" cried Luigi. "This is all your fault!" he said, pointing to Cappy.
"Well, I didn't say you had to play…" Cappy muttered. Luigi got up and grabbed him.
"You wanna say that again, but louder, so everyone can hear?" Luigi said. Cappy shook his head. Luigi threw Cappy into a shelf and he hit the ground with a thud. The shelf wobbled before falling on top of Cappy and Luigi. Luigi dove out of the way, but the unconscious Cappy was squished to death.
"Cappy! No!" said Mario. "Luigi, why are you so annoying?! You've got multiple members of our group killed for Pete's sake!"
"Oh so you want some too huh?" Luigi said and dove at his brother. He pinned Mario to the ground and pulled out a secret pocket knife.
"LUIGI! WAIT! You wouldn't do this to your own brother, right?" Mario pleaded while in tears.
"Yes, I would. You're all a bunch of phony freaks who don't know how to survive. To survive means to do things you don't wanna do. And I didn't want to play that game, but I did. And I don't want to kill you, but I will." Luigi replied, an evil grin in his eyes.
"That makes no sense!" said Mario. Luigi disregarded him and stabbed his brother not once, not twice, not three, but four times in the neck. Mario screeched, but it sounded awful, like nails on a chalkboard. Mario started to bleed out on the ground. Peach screamed.
"YOU MONSTER!" Peach shouted. "That was your own brother!"
"Oh, so the princess wants action now too? Okay, let's do-" Luigi didn't finish his sentence before falling forward. The arrow had punctured his heart from the back and he was dead.
"V-Vivian..thank you…" Peach said quietly. She was staring at the bodies of Mario and Luigi. Maybe she wasn't cut out to lead this group. Maybe she should give up. They were trapped after all and…
"Hey! Up here!" said a voice. It sounded like it was coming from the ceiling. Suddenly, Yoshie, Starlow, and Funky Kong burst from the ceiling, falling to the floor.
"Yoshie, Starlow, Funky? What are you guys doing here and how did you get here?" asked Kooper.
"We went through the vents and separated from our group. We think that the vents are the best way out." Starlow said.
"No sense in not trying. Bowser, Morton, Wiggler, go get the furniture. Roy, hold the door back for the zombies." said Peach. Bowser grabbed a couch, Wiggler grabbed the tall chair, and finally, Morton grabbed two boxes. Roy held the door back, and he knew it wouldn't hold for long.
"You guys go back up. We'll follow." Peach said. Yoshie, Starlow, and Funky Kong climbed back into the vent. They helped Peach, Rosalina, Wario, Dixie Kong…
"Guys! This door won't hold for much longer!" called Roy.
They helped Bowser up into the vents, then Kooper, Goomba, Goombario, Goombella…
"GUYS!" Roy screamed. He was getting scared and the zombies were starting to push through the door.
Now Watt was up, then Morton, Vivian, Wiggler. Bombette finally got up to the vents.
"ROY! Come on!" yelled Rosalina.
"O-Okay!" said Roy. He let go of the door and the zombies burst inside. He ran towards the pile of furniture. He leaped onto the couch, then climbed the chair. The zombies were gaining on him by the second. He leaped for the vent and grabbed Rosalina's hand. The zombies grabbed his ankle, and started to devour it. Roy's foot was gone in seconds.
"AAAHHH! HELP!" screamed Roy. Rosalina looked back to Bowser. He was tearing up, but he nodded. Rosalina let go of Roy.
"AHHH! HELP ME! AAUUGGHHH!" Roy screeched. Blood and guts flew everywhere, and some got onto Rosalina's face. She smeared it onto her face.
"Let's move."
Group 2 continued to sit in the study. Without warning, Yoshi stood on the table.
"Are we just going to sit in here and rot, or are we going to escape?" he said. Peeka raised her hand.
"Rot."
"Uh-well…um, I'm not rotting in here! During the run over here, I saw that the door is right outside of this room. We need to get past those zombies and get out of here!" Some people cheered, and others didn't.
"What if we can't get out? What if we all die?" asked Geno.
"That's a risk we're going to have to take." Birdo said, and stood next to Yoshi on the table. The table snapped and they both fell.
"Ow…anyways, if you want to escape, stand with us. If not, stay with Peeka." Yoshi said while rubbing his head.
Waluigi, Ludwig, DK, Petey, Dry Bones, Larry, Lakilester, Miss Mowz, Jojora and Geno all stood with the dino duo, and Boo, Blooper, and Toadsworth stood with Peeka.
"B-But Boo! We need to escape! We have kids!" Dry Bones pleaded.
"If you want to see your kids again, you won't go with them. If we wait it out, then we can survive. That's a suicide mission." said Boo. Dry Bones nodded and looked back at Yoshi and Birdo. He walked over to Boo and held her ghostly hand.
"Okay, stay safe. We'll see you outside." said Yoshi, and the group walked over to the door. Larry held his rolling pin, Lakilester and Ludwig had the meat cleavers, Petey had his cheese grater, Birdo had a frying pan, Yoshi, Miss Mowz, and Jojora had fire pokers, and Donkey Kong had a sword that was in the study. Waluigi had searched the room and had found a hidden compartment that had two handguns. He took one, and Geno took the other.
"If we lose someone, don't turn back. Push to the door and get out. No matter what." Yoshi said. A tear rolled down his cheek before he turned to the door. He took a deep breath, and opened the door.
Bowser Junior and Nabbit made their way through the vents, trying to find any signs of other people. They crawled over the kitchen, where they saw the mangled bodies of Lakilulu and Fire Bro crawling across the ground. They eventually made it to the study, where Nabbit jumped onto the grate to alert the people of their position. Boo looked up and floated to the top of the room. She opened the vent and the two kids jumped down onto the ground.
"Where is everyone?" asked Nabbit.
"They left. Went on a mission to save their lives." replied Peeka.
"Oh, well at least we have you guys." said Junior. Toadsworth nodded.
"I've got you buddy, I'll make sure you survive this." He said. Bowser Junior smiled.
Bobbery, Kammy, and Professor Frankly shimmied through the vents, looking for a way to escape this nightmare.
"Hey guys! I see something up ahead!" said Bobbery. "It looks like light, like moonshine!"
"Yeah well can you hurry it up! I'm getting mooned by being behind you!" Kammy said.
"Oh…sorry Kammy!" Bobbery said, blushing.
"It's fine, just hurry up!" Kammy ushered, and Bobbery went quicker through the vents. He eventually reached the light, and kicked the vent open. It was a huge drop to the ground, but at least they had made it outside.
"BOBBERY! MOVE!" yelled Kammy, and she shoved him out of the vent. Bobbery fell out of the vent, falling all the way down and splitting his head open on the grass. Blood seeped out of the wound as Kammy screamed.
"Oh…oh my god! I just killed someone! I mean, I killed Monty Mole, Bow, and Toadina too, but this, this was different! I killed someone with my hands…I mean-" Kammy couldn't finish her sentence because Frankly pushed her out of the vent too. Kammy fell all the way down, and just like Bobbery, died on the spot. Frankly then jumped out as well, killing himself. As he fell, he thought, This is for the best.

A/N: So, that's that! Yoshi's group is going on a mission to escape, and Peach's group, along with Yoshie, Starlow, and Funky Kong, are in the vents, searching for an exit as well. Next chapter will be posted soon! Bye!
