Characters: Peach, Yoshi, Birdo, Rosalina, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser, Bowser Junior, Ludwig, DK, Dixie Kong, Petey Piranha, Kooper, Boo, Dry Bones, Nabbit, Blooper, Larry, Morton, Goomba, Funky Kong, Wiggler, Toadsworth, Bombette, Goombario, Goombella, Lakilester, Miss Mowz, Watt, Vivian, Yoshie, Jojora, Starlow, Geno, Peeka
Yoshi's group stepped outside of the study, careful not to make a sound.
"Okay, everyone stay silent." said Yoshi. He led them down the hall towards the main hall where the door was. Before they could exit the hall, one of the doors on the left creaked open and a few zombies crept out. Yoshi recognized one of them. Mona.
Zombie Mona and the others walked towards the group, thirsty for their blood and hungry for their brains. Yoshi raised his fire poker.
"It's zombie smashing time," he said. Everyone ran forward at the zombies. Ludwig and Petey went for Mona. Petey ran the cheese grater across Mona's chest, and Ludwig slashed her throat before stabbing her in the head. Ludwig stuck his hand in the air in triumph, and saw the zombie behind Petey.
"Petey, look out!" cried Ludwig. Petey jumped and did a spinning kick, knocking the zombie in the head.
"YES!" he cried.
Yoshi, Birdo, Miss Mowz, and Donkey Kong were at the front lines, slashing and stabbing and slapping all of the zombies. Donkey Kong ran into a group of zombies, swinging his sword around. He cut open a decent amount of them, but there were too many zombies flooding out of the open rooms. Donkey Kong was bitten, and he screamed in pain.
"DK!" yelled Miss Mowz. While she was distracted, a zombie came up behind her and bit her on the shoulder. She fell to the ground and was overtaken.
Waluigi and Lakilester pushed past the hoard and tried to get to the door. They got through the hallway, leaving everyone behind, but there were still more zombies from upstairs. The zombies tumbled down the stairs and attacked the two men.
Lakilester grabbed the doorknob and twisted it. The door was stuck. He pulled and pulled, and Waluigi came to help him. Waluigi turned around to see where everyone else was, and was met with the disgusting breath of a horrible zombie…Lakilulu.
Waluigi screamed at the horrible sight before Lakilulu dug into his chest. Waluigi's blood splattered onto Lakilester, but he kept trying to open the door. He stuck the cleaver into the lock and tried to pick it, but the zombie hoard had gained on him. They crawled on top of him and it was all over from there. Blood splattered the door as Lakilester and Waluigi were eaten.
Meanwhile, everyone else was still fighting in the hallway. Larry screamed as he was surrounded by four zombies. He smacked one in the jaw with his rolling pin, but they were very strong and it didn't faze the zombie much.
"Help!" he cried. "Somebody help me!"
Geno ran over to him and shot the zombies right in the head.
"PHEW!" said Larry. "Thank you-OH NO, GENO!" he screamed. Geno turned and was met with the teeth of Toadette. Geno screamed and his blood spilled all over Zombie Toadette. She shoved Geno's body aside and started to go for Larry. Larry dove out of the way, grabbed Geno's gun, and ran to Yoshi and Birdo.
"Is this all we have left?!" Yoshi asked, stressed and frightened.
"Yes, it is. Geno just got killed." Larry added. He turned around and slammed his rolling pin into a zombie's head.
"We go for the door now. If we can't open it, just run." Birdo said. Everyone nodded.
"3…" Birdo counted.
"2…" Ludwig added.
"1-AAAUUGHH!" screamed Jojora as a zombie dug into her neck. Larry shot Jojora in the chest to end her suffering and counted.
"1, GO!" he screamed and the remaining five ran towards the door. Yoshi stabbed and took down two zombies in the head. Birdo smacked one in the mouth and grabbed the meat cleaver that Lakilester dropped when he was killed. She stabbed the zombie and kept running.
Petey kicked and slashed at all the zombies that came for him. His size was attracting the zombies and he was starting to get overwhelmed.
"LUDWIG!" Petey screamed. "LUDWIG, HELP ME!" Ludwig turned and saw his friend in danger. Panicking, he hurled the cleaver at the zombie hoard around Petey. Petey caught it in his mouth and slashed at the zombies. But, while he bent his head, the zombies took advantage of his vulnerable neck and bit him.
"AAHHH! OH MY GOD THAT HURTS!" he screamed. Petey got up and elbowed the zombie off of him. He pushed past the rest of them and ran towards the door.
"I'LL KEEP THEM DISTRACTED! OPEN THE DOOR!" he screamed. The purple mushroom had already started growing on top of his head.
"Goodbye Petey…" Ludwig said sadly. The four survivors ran to the door and they all yanked on the doorknob to pull it open.
"WAIT EVERYONE STOP!" yelled Yoshi. "It's a push door."
"OHHHH!" everyone else exclaimed.
"AHHH!" Ludwig turned to see Petey on the ground, screaming in agony. Ludwig held back tears, and took a risk. He ran towards the zombies, grabbing his meat cleaver and slashing at the zombies. He took down a lot of them, and soon only Zombified Petey remained.
"I'm sorry…my friend…" said Ludwig. A gunshot was heard and Ludwig looked up to see the bullet hole in Petey's head. He fell backwards, dead.
"Ludwig, come on! The door's open!" yelled Yoshi. Ludwig turned and ran towards the door. The four exited the building and were immediately surrounded by…
…
…
…
…
…more zombies.
Group 1 continued their journey through the vents, trying to find a new room to escape to.
"Everyone, look! The dining hall is right below us!" Yoshie said.
"Then let's go!" Funky exclaimed. He slammed his fist on the grate and it didn't budge. He screamed in pain and looked at his hand. There were engraving marks on his hand from where he had hit the grate.
"Funky, move. Let me try." said Bowser. He stood up, and the entire vent collapsed. Kooper fell onto the chandelier hanging in the dining hall and he was impaled on the sharp glass. It then fell to the floor and killed Goomba, who had been knocked out from the fall.
"BOWSER!" Rosalina yelled. Bowser slapped her and put a finger over his mouth, signalling for her to be quiet. He pointed outside of the door and she saw the zombies filing in.
"Get down…" Yoshie whispered. They all got down on their hands and knees and crawled in the opposite direction of the zombies.
"I'll check under the table," said Wario. He lifted the tablecloth and suddenly a zombie sprang onto his face. Wario roared in pain as the zombie tore apart his face.
"Go go go go go go go go go go go go go go GO, GO NOW!" said Starlow, and the group ran towards the zombies. Peach fired a few bullets at the zombies in the front and they were instantly killed. Their bodies fell back into other zombies and those zombies became trapped underneath dead weight.
Peach peered through the crowd of the zombies. She saw a few faces that she knew. Mario. Luigi. Daisy. Roy. Pauline.
"GUYS! Mario, Luigi, Daisy, Pauline, and Roy are zombies!" Peach exclaimed. Everyone facepalmed.
"REALLY? Not like they died or anything!" Dixie Kong shrieked. She ran at Peach and shot at the zombie that was about to bite her. She shot Peach in the shoulder instead and she fell over, the zombie digging into her head and chest.
"AHHH! OH NO! PEACH! I-I killed her…no, no, no…I'm a killer…" Dixie said, before a zombie came up behind her and bit her on the arm. Dixie yelped in pain and the zombies overtook her. Rosalina slashed all of the zombies on top of Dixie, before stabbing Dixie in the head.
"EVERYONE STAND BACK!" Yoshie said as he shot the rocket launcher that Cappy once had.
"What?" asked Goombella. She, Vivian, Starlow, and Bombette were all in the crossfire of the rocket and they exploded, along with all of the zombies. Yoshie flew backwards and hit his head on a chair, knocking himself out.
"VIVIAN!" yelled Watt.
"GOOMBELLA!" wailed Goombario.
"STARLOW!" screamed Funky Kong.
"BOMBETTE!" cried Rosalina.
"YOSHIE!" shrieked Bowser.
"Bowser! Grab Yoshie and the rocket launcher! We're so close to the exit!" said Rosalina, and the survivors ran towards the main hall to save their lives.
The group in the study heard the commotion of the fight outside of the study, and they heard the creaking of the door.
"D-Did they escape?" asked Nabbit, who was hiding under a chair to escape the noises of the dying.
"I think so. Come here Nabbit." said Toadsworth. Nabbit slowly came towards Toadsworth and the two hugged each other.
"Who do you guys think survived?" asked Boo.
"Definitely not Geno, and not Petey. I heard their names being yelled followed by a scream of pain." said Dry Bones.
"I don't think Jojora survived. The clatter of her cellphone is far too recognizable." sighed Peeka.
"Yoshi and Birdo have plot armor, they're not going anywhere." Blooper said.
"Do you HAVE to break the fourth wall every ten seconds?" asked Peeka. Blooper shook his head.
"I only broke it to say the obvious. I mean-" Peeka slapped him.
"SHUT IT! Or I will personally feed you to the zombies myself!" she screamed. Blooper nodded slightly.
"Um…do you all hear something…above us?" asked Boo.
"No, why?" Peeka asked in return.
"Because I think there is something in the vents." Boo said, before out of the vent fell three zombies.
"Frankly? Kammy? BOBBERY? What happened?" asked Dry Bones.
"They're clearly zombies!" said Peeka. Suddenly, Zombie Kammy pulled out her wand and zapped Dry Bones into dust.
"AHH! MY LOVE!" screamed Boo. "Take this!" She exclaimed and ran at the zombie, punching and kicking. Zombie Kammy was unfazed because, well, Boo was a ghost. If you know anything about ghosts, they go through things and cannot hit things. Although, they can be hurt.
Zombie Frankly jumped at Boo. She fell over and Frankly bit her on the neck. She screamed before falling still on the ground in a puddle of her own blood. She then got up, with the mushroom on her head, the red spotted skin, and the bloodshot eyes.
"Um…guys? I think we're trapped…" said Blooper.
"REALLY?" screamed Peeka. They all backed up against the wall, and prayed for their deaths to be quick.
