Characters: Yoshi, Birdo, Rosalina, Bowser, Bowser Junior, Ludwig, Nabbit, Blooper, Larry, Morton, Funky Kong, Wiggler, Toadsworth, Goombario, Watt, Yoshie, Peeka

"Yoshi, what do we do?" Birdo asked quietly.

"Um…I don't know…" Yoshi said. Birdo could hear the fear in his voice. She held him close.

"I'm right here with you, whatever you want to do, I will." she said in his ear. Yoshi looked at her, a glimmer of hope shining in his eyes.

"We have to try." Yoshi sprang forward, swinging his fire poker around, stabbing a zombie right through the mouth. Ludwig and Birdo followed suit. Birdo slammed a zombie in the head with a frying pan and stabbed it in the neck. Ludwig stabbed another in the back.

Larry, however, had been backed into a corner and was now surrounded by a decent amount of zombies. Zombie Donkey Kong, Zombie Geno, Zombie Miss Mowz, and Zombie Wendy were all in the hoard.

"Wendy, please! I'm your brother, you-you wouldn't do this right?" Larry pleaded. Zombie Wendy crept closer and closer and Larry screamed in pain as his sister's teeth sank into his neck. Larry's blood spewed out of the hole in his neck and splattered on Wendy and himself. Larry quickly transformed into a zombie, and dropped his weapons. He crept towards Ludwig, hungry for blood.

"Yoshi! Look out!" yelped Birdo. Yoshi kicked a zombie away and saw the five zombie forms of his friends heading towards him.

"Well…if I'm going to go down, I'm going down with a fight." He said, before letting out a battle cry and charging into the group of zombies. He stabbed Miss Mowz in the eye with his fire poker and ripped it out, jabbing Donkey Kong in the stomach with the blunt edge. He turned around and stabbed Donkey Kong in the neck, all while kicking Wendy in the face. He threw the fire poker into Larry's head and ran towards the weapons that Larry had dropped. He grabbed the handgun and fired a bullet into Wendy's head, and slammed Zombie Geno in the head with his rolling pin. Yoshi shot Geno in the chest three times before stomping on his head, splitting it open.

"Oh my…what a RUSH!" he cheered. He turned and saw a zombie creeping towards Birdo, slowly but surely getting closer and closer…

"Birdo, behind you!" yelled Yoshi, but it was too late. Birdo cried out in pain as the zombie's teeth penetrated her shoulder, and its claws sank into her back. She fell to the ground face first and the zombie clawed open her chest, ripping out her insides and splattering blood everywhere. Yoshi screamed, and shot the zombie blank in the forehead, and he and Ludwig ran out of the courtyard and into the garden where the gate to the castle lay.

"WAIT!"

"Guys the exit is right here!" cried Wiggler. He pushed open the door and saw Ludwig and Yoshi running towards the gate, and Birdo being eaten alive.

"WAIT!" he called out. Yoshi and Ludwig turned to see him and saw the entire group standing behind the caterpillar.

"You guys are alive? I thought everyone was de-" Ludwig said before he paused and fell over in pain. The zombified Lakilester stood behind him, his mouth dripping blood.

"AHHH! LUDWIG! MY OTHER SON!" cried Bowser. "I've lost Lemmy, Roy, and now Ludwig! WAHHHHHHH!"

"What about Wendy?" asked Watt.

"I killed her out of spite." Bowser said, before continuing to cry. He wiped his eyes and saw Zombie Larry's body on the ground.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

"Well, we better move, because the zombies are coming." said Rosalina, and everyone ran outside to Yoshi. Yoshi shot Ludwig and Lakilester before running off with the rest of the group. Once everyone had gotten to the gate, they found themselves standing right outside of a hedge maze.

"Does ANYONE remember going through this when we got here?" Morton asked.

"Nope." Everyone replied.

"I went through the back door, that's where Peach said to go," said Bowser.

"Yeah, me too." replied Yoshie.

"Wait, you're Yoshie, right? I'm Yoshi!" said Yoshi.

"Oh cool! Nice to meet you Yoshi!" Yoshie replied to Yoshi.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH THIS WRITING IS GETTING VERY CONFUSING!" shouted Goombario.

"Shut up nerd." Bowser said back to him. Goombario rolled his eyes.

"So you didn't realize that he was also Yoshie, Yoshi?" asked Rosalina.

"Wait, which one are you talking to?" said Yoshie and Yoshi at the same time.

"You know what? Let's just do this!" said Watt and she zapped Yoshie, electrocuting and killing him.

"WHAT THE HECK WATT! THAT WAS MY FRIEND!" yelled Yoshi.

"Don't make me zap you too." said Watt. Meanwhile, Wiggler took the rocket launcher.

"Don't mind me guys…heh heh…" he said.

"Okay, now that that's over with, let's open this gate." Rosalina said. She unlocked the gate with her powers and opened the right side of the gate. Everyone walked in and stood at the start of the foggy maze.

"We stay together here. No matter what, always follow the person in front of you." she directed. Everyone nodded.

"Alright, let's go." she said, and they began their trek through the maze.

"Oh Peeka, I'm so sorry for what I did last Tuesday!" Blooper cried.

"What did you do now?" Peeka said, rolling her eyes.

"I ate your powdered donut holes." he said. Peeka went dark red.

"YOU WHAT?" she screamed. She grabbed Blooper and threw him into the pit of zombies. Some stopped to eat him while others kept going towards the group.

"Okay, now I'm scared!" said Bowser Junior.

"Hey, I have an idea. You might not like it, but it'll work." said Toadsworth.

"What is it? Hurry up and tell us!" said Peeka who pushed away a zombie.

"You guys will get up in that vent and go into the main hall and escape. I stay here and get eaten. Simple as that." Toadsworth said. Bowser Junior gasped.

"No, Toadsworth! You can't die!" he exclaimed. Nabbit nodded.

"It's what I was meant to do. I promised you your life, and so I'll pay my dues. I'm sixty-eight years young anyways, so I don't have many years left in me. I'm sorry, but it's the only way." Toadsworth explained.

"Alright, well I'm out!" Peeka said and she floated up to the vent, opening it. "I'm ready to get them when they get over your death Toadsworth!"

"Okay Toadsworth. I'll live…for you." said Bowser Junior. He got on top of a chair and jumped up to the vent. Nabbit did the same. Bowser Junior looked back down the vent, and saw Toadsworth sitting down, looking up at Junior. He put up a thumbs up before the zombies dragged him into their hoard. Blood splattered on the floor, and Junior ran as Toadsworth screamed in agony.

A/N: So everyone is almost outside! Who will survive? Did I do good with Toadsworth's death? Come on, someone out there cried, I know it.
