Characters: Yoshi, Rosalina, Bowser, Bowser Junior, Nabbit, Morton, Funky Kong, Wiggler, Goombario, Watt, Peeka

"Come on, we have to keep moving!" said Rosalina. She was leading the group through the hedge maze, and everyone was still intact(surprisingly).

"Guys, come on, I think we're getting close to the exit!" Rosalina called behind her.

"You said that twenty minutes ago." Bowser said, annoyed.

"Anybody getting the feeling that we're not alone in this maze?" asked Wiggler. Everyone shook their heads "no."

"EW WHAT WAS THAT?" screeched Watt. Something had brushed over her foot, and it felt cold. She looked down, and there was nothing there. It happened again, and Watt looked down and saw a zombie holding onto her ankle, trying to pull her down into the hedges.

"AHHH!" she screamed. The zombie bit her ankle and she rolled over. Funky Kong and Morton were behind her, and they tried to help her up, but the zombie had already gotten to her. They bit her in the nose and chest and soon she was dead. Morton and Funky Kong ran off in a different direction than the group, hoping to find the exit.

Meanwhile, the others had found a large opening in the hedge maze. They took some time to relax, because they were hoping that no other zombies were in the hedge maze.

"Funky and Morton are missing. Watt's also dead…grrrreat." said Yoshi.

"Yep. Almost comical how she died while we were all together and moving so quickly." added Bowser.

"Stop lying, we were slower than Bowser on a treadmill!" Goombario said.

"Hey! I run at a speed of two miles per hour, thank you very much!" Bowser humphed.

"I wonder what caused this virus anyways, like it just sprung out of nowhere." Wiggler pondered. "Hey Goombario!" Wiggler called to the teenage Goomba, who was sitting on a bench. Goombario didn't move, he just stared at the ground.

"Goombario? Got any idea on how the virus started?" Wiggler asked. Goombario still didn't move.

"Goombario?" Goombario slid off of the stone bench.

"Maybe…" he trailed off.

"Dude, you're really creepin' me out right now…you okay?" Bowser asked.

"Uhh…yeah…" he said. "But, I don't think you'll like it…" Goombario spun around quickly, holding two guns. His handgun, and the laser gun that Parakarry had found earlier before he died.

"It was me!" Goombario smiled.

"HA! You really got me there, bud! Who gave you the other gun?" Bowser laughed. Goombario loaded the laser gun and shot Bowser. A green laser fired from the gun and hit Bowser in the chest.

"AAAAGGGH! NOT LYING, NOT LYING!" Bowser roared. Immediately, he started to change into a zombie.

"AHH! OH MY GOD, GOOMBARIO, WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK!" screamed Rosalina. Zombie Bowser got up and walked over behind Goombario. Goombario pulled out a whistle from his pocket and blew into it. The transformed party guests slowly made their way through the maze towards the group.

"So this is how it ends, huh? Cool." said Wiggler as the zombie pack started to form. Goombario cackled and grinned at the group.

"Who's ready for a FINALE?"

Morton and Funky Kong found themselves back at the beginning of the maze.

"Uh, Funky?" asked Morton. "What are those three blurs at the door of the castle?"

"Morton, did you forget your contacts? It's Peeka, Junior, and Nabbit! Hey guys!" Funky waved to them.

"Yes, actually I did. I'm supposed to wear glasses." Morton said and pulled them out. He put the spectacles on and Funky burst out laughing.

"BAHAHAHAHA! OH WOW, THAT'S A HOOT!" Funky laughed. Morton went red in embarrassment. Peeka, Junior, and Nabbit came up next to them. Bowser Junior still had tears in his eyes from watching Toadsworth die.

"What's shakin' your bacon, bud?" Funky said, wiping a tear of laughter from his eye.

"Toadsworth sacrificed himself for us." Bowser Junior replied. "He said that I should live for him."

"Well, we lost our group after Watt got killed, sooooooo…we should go back into the maze. We need to find them." said Morton. Everyone then saw his glasses and started laughing. Morton threw the glasses on the ground and stomped on them.

"SEE HERE! I DON'T NEED GLASSES!" said Morton. "Now let's go!" He walked towards the maze and walked into the hedges. He turned and went into the maze's entrance. Everyone else followed suit.

"Oh my-" said Rosalina. The zombies that stood with Goombario included Bowser, Toadbert, Parakarry, Goombella, Kammy, Toadsworth, Professor Frankly, Mario, Roy, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Pauline, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Watt, Bombette, Birdo, Lakilulu, Lemmy, Flurrie, Zip Toad, Kamek, and Lahla.

"WHAT IN THE ARMY?" screeched Yoshi.

"Yes, all of these deaths were necessary to bring this army to life!" Goombario cackled.

"But why?" Rosalina asked. "Why kill all of these people? Why help them survive just to watch them die?"

"Well I figured that was coming, so why don't I tell you…" Goombario began.

"I was tired of all of the hate I was getting for being "too nerdy" or "too geeky." So, I put that to use, and made a vial of zombifying laser fuel. When I got to the party, I stepped away from the main party room and went to load my laser gun with the special serum I prepared for this occasion. I loaded it into the gun, and saw that Toadbert was going to open the door. I used this opportunity to test out my gun, and to my surprise…it worked…"

"I ran off with Mario's group, because it was the popular characters that were usually calling me names and annoying me the most. I programmed the serum to not target me, and that's why I never was attacked. I had nothing to fear. When Hammer Bro was eaten alive, I shot him, even though I knew that he could have survived. I told Bowser in the vent that it was for the best that he let Roy go. I convinced Yoshie to shoot the rocket launcher. I did all of that, just to strengthen my army."

"Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Pauline, and Diddy Kong all got themselves killed. They weren't a problem for me. After that, I called a bunch of the zombies towards the main hall. That's why so many people were dead and turned into zombies. All of the deaths, sacrifices, carnage…it was all my doing. And I don't plan to stop." Goombario smirked, and loaded his handgun. He shot Yoshi in the foot.

"OH MY GOSH THAT HURTS!" He screamed. Yoshi fell back into Rosalina's arms. Goombario laughed evilly.

"ATTACK!" he screamed. The zombies ran at the survivors, who were bracing for impact. It was now or never. No turning back.
