GOOMBARIO & ZOMBIES

While the battle of the clearing began, the five other survivors of the zombie outbreak traveled through the maze, trying to find their counterparts.

"Do any of you have any idea where we're going?" asked Peeka.

"NO! I don't! I'm only remembering the way we came up until Watt got eaten! I'm trying to find the familiar blood splatter from her body!" cried Funky Kong.

"Peeka, you can float. Just fly up and tell us what to do." Bowser Junior requested.

"Oh…yeah, you're right! I'm a freaking ghost! I can never die!" Peeka said, and flew up into the sky. "Alright guys, let's do this!"

The zombie hoard got closer and closer to the three survivors. Wiggler, petrified and fueled with adrenaline, turned his signature dark red, and fired a rocket at the zombie mass. The rocket killed the zombified Frankly, Bombette, Flurrie, Lahla, and Pauline.

"YES! I KILLED PAULINE! I SAVED US ALL!" cried Wiggler. He grabbed his throwing knives and hurled one into Diddy Kong's already mangled head.

"NO! ZOMBIES, ATTACK FASTER!" cried Goombario.

"Wiggler, Yoshi! Distract the zombies! I've got Goombario!" Rosalina ordered. Wiggler and Yoshi nodded, raising their weapons and running into the zombie crowd. Rosalina peered through the white skin and purple mushrooms and saw Goombario, scanning the area to make sure the battle was going in his favor. She stuck to the side of the clearing, inching past the zombies. Zombified Kammy lunged at her and fired a spell at her. Rosalina slashed Kammy across the face, and then cut off her head. The blood from Kammy's neck splashed onto Rosalina's blue dress. She looked at the ruffles at the bottom of her dress, and without thinking, she cut it up, letting her legs move around more freely.

Wiggler and Yoshi fought through the zombie mass. Yoshi shot Lakilulu in the chest, who fell into Kamek. The zombified Kamek was then stabbed by Wiggler, and the caterpillar and the dinosaur exchanged a high five before going back to battle.

Zombie Bowser, Zombie Roy, and Zombie Lemmy stood guard around Goombario. They looked around to try and find anyone to eat. Suddenly, Morton and the other survivors who had been lost in the maze appeared in the arc that led into the clearing.

"We're here to help!" shouted Nabbit. Goombario shifted his eyes towards Nabbit and the others and he fired the laser gun at them. One laser hit Nabbit in the eye, and he fell backwards.

"OH NO! NABBIT!" screamed Bowser Junior. He took the baseball bat from Funky Kong and slammed it into Nabbit's head, splattering blood all over the wooden object. Morton also ran into the fight, stabbing Zombie Luigi and Zombie Zip Toad with his katana. Yoshi and Wiggler took down Watt and Dixie Kong and then only a few zombies remained.

"YOSHI! BEHIND YOU!" screamed Peeka, who was floating up above the fight to keep people safe. Goombario took his aim and fired his handgun at Peeka. The bullet shot her in the back of the head and she fell right to the ground, shattering her skull and ending her life for good. Yoshi turned to see Zombie Birdo trying to dig into his neck. She bit him on the arm and he screamed out in pain. Wiggler fired the rocket launcher at Birdo, and it hit her, exploding on impact. However, Yoshi was too close to her and was also killed in the blast. His body parts spewed across the clearing.

Meanwhile, Rosalina had run over to Goombario, stabbing Zombie Lemmy in the head and whipping around to cut Zombie Roy in half. Zombie Bowser stood over her, ready to eat her, and Goombario stood at her back, ready to fire just in case things went haywire. Rosalina jumped up and backflipped, kicking Bowser in the jaw. Goombario fired his handgun and the bullet hit Zombie Bowser in the chest. Rosalina landed on Bowser and stabbed him in the head.

"Give it up, Goombario! You're outnumbered! You won't win this!" Rosalina screamed.

"Oh really? Take a look at this…" Goombario countered. Rosalina turned around to see Bowser Junior and Zombie Toadsworth slowly getting closer and closer together.

"T-Toadsworth? You're alive?" whimpered Bowser Junior. The old zombie jumped at Bowser Junior, eating into his neck and killing Junior. Wiggler stabbed the old zombie in the neck while he was distracted with Junior's corpse, and Funky Kong and Morton took down zombified versions of Mario and Daisy. Zombie Peach came up behind Funky Kong and bit him in the shoulder.

"AAHHH!" He screamed. Morton stabbed Funky to kill him and decapitated Peach. Morton and Wiggler turned to face Goombario, but didn't know that three other zombies were still kicking. Zombie Goombella bit Wiggler on one of his humps of his body, and Wiggler thrashed around in pain, while Morton was taken down by the rabid Toadbert.

"NO! No, no, no! Goombario, you can't do this…" Rosalina broke down crying. Toadbert, Goombella and Parakarry's zombified forms stood next to Goombario on either side of him. Rosalina fell backwards in fear.

"Just let them eat. They're hungry!" Goombario chuckled. Rosalina's eyes went from Goombario to Parakarry to Goombella to Toadbert and back to Goombario. She noticed something she hadn't noticed before(she was really good at that) and she saw that Toadbert's purple mushroom was…glowing? Goombella and Parakarry's mushrooms atop their heads were dim, but Toadbert's had a purple haze around it. Rosalina scooted away before turning and running over to where the dropped weapons were.

"Get her." Goombario said, and he pointed towards Rosalina. The three zombies limped towards her menacingly.

Rosaline scooped up Yoshi's handgun and threw it into one of her dress pockets. She also grabbed four of Wiggler's knives and threw two at the three zombies. One of them wormed its way into Parakarry's right wing, and he fell to the ground. She tossed the final two at Goombario. One of them fell short, and another fell over Goombario's head and into the hedges behind him. Goombario looked and grinned. He hopped off of his post and walked towards Rosalina.

Rosalina grabbed Morton's katana and began dual wielding. She used one katana to stab Goombella in the chest and the other to slice the mushroom off of her head. She kicked the girl goomba's corpse away, and pulled out the handgun. She looked up and saw Zombie Parakarry struggling to fly. She shot him in the other wing and he came crashing to the ground, splitting his head open.

BANG!

"OW!" screamed the space princess. Goombario had shot her in the leg, and Toadbert was getting eerily closer.

"Aww…too bad. You only had one zombie left. You were so close…" Goombario reached out his hand to Rosalina, then pulled it back. "...yet so far away."

"You won't get away with this…t-the cops are…coming…" she slurred. She was losing a LOT of blood and she wouldn't survive at this rate.

"O-Oh, oh no! T-The cops!" Goombario said sarcastically. "The cops won't know. I cut all of the phone lines earlier during the vent scuffle. I have to admit that was the best move that you made, Rosie. Trying to save Roy, oh, so sweet!" Goombario rambled on. He turned around while continuing to talk about himself, and Rosalina pulled herself to her feet. She grabbed Toadbert by his collar, and put both of her hands around his neck. Then, she hurled the zombie at Goombario. The two collided, and Toadbert looked to Goombario. His eyes had malicious intent.

"T-Toadbert…this doesn't look like you…" Goombario stuttered. Rosalina grabbed Toadbert by the top of his head and jaw, and held Goombario down with her knee. She pushed Toadbert's mouth closer and closer to Goombario.

"WAIT! NO!" Goombario screamed, but it was too late. Rosalina slammed Toadbert's jaw down on his neck and Goombario cried out in pain. Toadbert licked his lips. The powers of the serum had been overcome by the taste of blood. He crept towards Goombario again, and jumped onto him. Blood and guts spewed, and one of Goombario's eyes rolled towards Rosalina. She stepped on it, splattering it on the stone.

Rosalina took out the handgun. It had one bullet left. She cocked the gun, aimed for Toadbert's head, and fired.

BANG!

EOF.

A/N: The fic is over. I know that in the middle some of the characters didn't act as they should have and the jokes may have been a little much, but this is only my first time writing Horror and Humor as a whole. Please review how you found this fic to be, and PM me if you have any questions.

P.S. TD: Chris's Revenge is cancelled. The only fic that I will be updating is Super Mario Ultra-Stars. If you guys like the horror genre in my style, I will continue to write them, because I had a lot of fun writing with 75 characters and whittling it down to one survivor(MY QUEEN, ROSALINA). The next fic that I will be working on is either another Mario story, or a Hunger Games story. The Hunger Games story is still under debate on whether or not it will be a SYOT, but I think it will be. I like to update really quickly so I think I will start both stories, and have the Hunger Games story be a SYOT and while I update the Mario story, I get tribute submissions.
