Chapter 7
Aramyre lay against the wall in the cave as the others were sleeping except for Borfur. Her hand was on her sword as her tired eyes scanned the room. She turned her head to see Bilbo packing up his blanket and the resist of his things along with his walking stick. She chewed the inside of her cheek knowing that this wasn't a good sign.
Bofur saw Bilbo trying to leave them. Bofur jumped up to his feet. "Where do you think you're going?" He whispered to Bilbo.
"Back to Rivendell."
"No, no, you can't turn back now, you're part of the Company. You're one of us."
"I'm not though, am I? Thorin said I should never have come, and he was right. I'm not a Took, I'm a Baggins, I don't know what I was thinking. I should never have run out my door."
Thorin stared thoughtfully as he listened to Bilbo.
Aramyre shifted a little watching Bilbo carefully knowing that she couldn't make much movement alerting the other three that she was awake.
"You're homesick; I understand," Bofur said looking down.
"No, you don't, you don't understand! None of you do - you're dwarves. You used to - to this life, to living on the road, never settling in one place, not belonging anywhere."
Bofur looked offended at what was said.
Bilbo quickly went back on what he had said. "I am sorry, I didn't..."
"No, you're right. We don't belong anywhere. I wish you all the luck in the world. I really do." Bofur smiled and placed his hand on Bilbo's shoulder.
Bilbo turned to begin to walk away.
Bofur noticed something glowing. "What's that?"
Bilbo pulled his sword partway out of its sheath and saw that it was glowing bright blue.
Thorin raised his head as he heard strange machinery noises and saw the cracks on the floor of the cave where the sand was. "Wake up. Wake up!"
Before anyone could react the floor of the cave collapsed downward showing it was a large trap door. The entire company fell down the chute and slid through the tunnel into a cage. They struggled to get up when a horde of goblins attacked them taking away their weapons dragging them away.
Aramyre moved forward being shoved by three goblins. She grit her teeth as she followed the dwarves who were fighting back. But she knew that this probably wasn't wise to fight back against the goblins. She knew that it would most likely lead to more trouble that they didn't want to be in.
Nori looked over his shoulder noticing that Bilbo had gotten away from the group.
The goblins were leading the dwarves and Aramyre through the vast network of tunnels and wooden bridges to the throne room that had the platform that the Great Goblin was sitting on a massive through.
The weapons were piled together.
The Great Goblin jumped off his throne trampling on several goblins and approached the company. "Who would be so bold as to come armed into my kingdom? Spies? Thieves? Assassins?"
"Dwarves, Your Malevolence."
"Dwarves?"
"We found them on the front porch."
"Well, don't just stand there; search them! Every crack, every crevice."
The goblins searched the dwarves throwing away whatever that they found left on the company. Oin's hearing trumpet was thrown onto the floor and crushed by others.
"What are you doing in these parts? Speak!"
No one spoke up knowing that it wasn't needed to be known of why they were there.
Aramyre narrowed her eyes at the Great Goblin knowing that this probably wasn't going to end well for them whatsoever. They needed to try to escape from this and so far her brain hadn't figured out a way to escape from the goblins that were holding them. She hadn't expected that there was even a trap in that cave. She should've known better that there was one.
"Well then, if they will not talk, we'll make them squawk! Bring out the Mangler! Bring out the Bone Breaker! Start with the youngest." The Great Goblin pointed at Ori thinking that he was the youngest.
Thorin stepped forward pushing Ori back. "Wait."
"Well, well, well, look who it is. Thorin son of Thrain, son of Thror; King under the Mountain." The Great Goblin bows exaggeratedly in Thorin's direction.
Aramyre's hands clenched tightly at her sides knowing if they figured out who she was the same would probably do the same to her.
"Oh, but I'm forgetting, you don't have a mountain. And you're not a king. Which makes you nobody, really. I know someone who would pay a pretty price for your head. Just the head, nothing attached. Perhaps you know of whom I speak, an old enemy of yours. A Pale Orc astride a White Warg."
Thorin looked up in surprise and disbelief. He couldn't believe that the Pale Orc and White Warg were both dead. Something that he didn't have to deal with. "Azog the Defiler was destroyed. He was slain in battle long ago."
"So you think his defiling days are done, do you?" The Great Goblin laughed before turning to the tiny goblin that was sitting in a basket holding a slate. "Send word to the Pale Orc; tell him I have found his prize."
The tiny goblin wrote down the message on his slate cackling before pulling the lever causing his basket to start sliding down the system of ropes and pulleys into the darkness below.
Aramyre knew that this wasn't a good sign. "I should've known that we should've gone farther than this… How did I not know there was a trap waiting for us? This will be held over my head for quite a while. We need to get out of here now." She thought to herself knowing that they needed to bide time.

This is the end of Chapter 7. I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter. It took me a little bit to write this chapter out. I think it turned out fairly well. I've been working on a few other fics during this time doing many rewrites for many stories since my writing had changed since I originally started to write. I hope that this turned out well. I'm hoping to add more plot to the story. I think I see Aramyre either with Fili or Kili. I haven't quite decided yet. But I don't see her with Thorin. Please leave a review and let me know what you think of this chapter. Reviews help me keep going when it comes to writing. And it keeps my muse going. I hope to have the next chapter out soon. Until next time.
