Epilogue

"MORTEM!" Andrasta called out while waving a lint roller around. "Get back here! You still have lint on your robes.

"I don't have any lint left!" Death called out as he jogged a bit further away. "You de-linted me the entire morning!"

"The girls and I are just trying to help you look your best," Andrasta grumbled.

"All I wanted to do was take a little sneak peek into the future before the big event!" Death grumbled to Fate, who had been sitting by the pool with her hand dipped in it.

"What are you doing?" He asked, confused.

When his sister pulled her hand out, he saw that she was holding a squirming blue-flamed soul. He had honestly forgotten about Voldemort's soul after letting his sisters have fun with it. The soul seems to have been sputtering from the sudden bath when Fate replied, "I found him rolled under the couch, covered in cobwebs and dust bunnies. Wasn't it your turn to vacuum?"

"When were you going to get around to putting him back in the reincarnation cycle?" Fate frowned. "I have plans of my own you know."

"Soon," Death grumbled. "I was thinking he'd make a good capybara or beaver,"

"Morty, I need him to be human," Fate stated.

"Oh, come on!" Death sulked. "Not even a fruit fly?"

"His soul is leaking far too much magical power to be put into a capybara. Could you imagine the upheaval in the mortal realm when people find out about an apparating capybara?"

"It would be funny," Death muttered under his breath. "It's not like a capybara can hold a wand."

"Mortem," Fate grumbled. "Do not make me get Mother involved."

"Fiiiine," Death sulked some more, and with a snap of his fingers, the squirming blue soul flame vanished. "There! Happy?!"

"Extremely," Fate nodded.

"So what are you really doing?" Death stared at his sister. "Giving souls impromptu baths usually isn't on your list."

"I am just deciding what futures to give those besides your Master and soon-to-be Master," she chuckled while beckoning her brother over and making a ripple in the water to shift to several figures. Death realized that these were the teens and their siblings that were residing in the Prince estate.

"Miss Rowle will succeed her father after poisoning him and having his Dark Mark revealed at St. Mungos," Fate smirked. "The Ministry will seize more than half the family assets, but this young lady is quite business savvy when no one is breathing down her neck.

"The Greengrass sisters will reunite with their mother. Their father will be put on probation after his claims of being imperious while in the Dark Lord's service. Lady Greengrass also adopts those three rascals from Knockturn, much to her husband's objection, as her daughters and the kids had grown close."

"Pansy and Snyde make a go of it, but they don't quite keep working out. They are on-again-off-again for years until they add Draco to the mix while at a school reunion." Fate smirked. "Now that would be a surprise to everyone, but somehow they make the perfect throuple,"

"Any others you've already decided on?" Death asked, clearly invested.

"Hmmm, not really." Fate thought for a moment. "Hermione and Ron are pretty solid in this reality. They've already overcome surprise, betrayal, and sickness. I was actually quite moved that Ron stayed with Hermione's side through her recovery from the fire. In most realities, there is a 60-40 chance they end up together or not. The tension later on with Hermione's high-powered career in most realities and Ron's slow promotions up the Auror ranks usually causes some friction."

"The trickiest love story in all of this is actually Deidric and Neville's," Fate frowned. "After the first few dates, thanks to Draco's pushiness, the two find a lot of common ground. Deidric is a Lord, though sometimes still unsure of himself, but he will grow into the role quite nicely, I might add. Neville only takes over as Lord once his grandmother passes. Sadly, she was one of the points of contention in their relationship. Augusta's pushiness for Neville to court Lord Black is what actually soured their relationship for a while. They stayed friends and occasionally friends-with-benefits, but never got serious. I would say that it is only in their late 40s that they will finally confess their love for one another." Fate frowned here as she scrutinized the relationship through the pool. "A snowstorm and a cabin in the woods might be interesting,"

"They are wizards, you know," Her brother deadpanned. "They can just apparate."

"What about being magically handcuffed together?" Fate then asked.

"It could work," Death grinned. "You know, I love it when you plot."

"And what of the others?" Death now asked eagerly.

"Hmmm, let me think," Fate mumbled. "Amelia Bones might retire early when Harry pulls another of his stunts,"

"What aren't you telling me?!"

"Nothing!" Fate said far too quickly before changing the subject. "Ginny meets Dean Thomas a lot sooner, and Minerva gets the hell out of dodge when the twins' triplets start their first year."

"Triplets?"

"Yes,"

"TRIPLETS! EACH?!"

"Now you sound just like the Headmistress," Fate muttered.

"Who did the twins marry?!" Death was now staring wide-eyed at his elder sister.

"Just the Parvati twins,"

"And you gave each of them triplets?!"

"Yes," Fate deadpanned.

"THE WIZARDING WORLD IS DOOMED!"

"Why are you such a drama queen at times?" Fate asked while crossing her arms.

"I can't with you. I just can't," Death muttered dramatically.

"Speaking of, aren't you going to be running late if you don't go now?"

"Hmmm?" Death frowned.

"You know, the ceremony…" She uttered. "The thing you agreed to,"

Death blinked before he shouted, "Why didn't you remind me sooner?!"

"He's your Master!" Fate shouted back just as Death ripped open reality once more. "Bloody hell! You do know I have to fix these, don't you?!"

Death popped out from the other side of the rip just in time to see his Master and his Consort reach the altar for the Bonding ceremony. They were in a forest clearing with chairs set up on either side of the aisle. Minerva, Poppy, and Albus were present along with other Hogwarts staff. Hagrid was sniffling. Amelia Bones was also present, as were all of the Weasleys, the Slytherins that had been Severus's students, and some Potion Masters Severus was on good terms with.

Draco was the bonding ribbon bearer and strutted down the aisle, holding a velvet pillow with the ribbon while scattering rose petals along the way.

Lucius and Deidric stood on either side of Harry and Severus as their best men while Death used his magic to bind the ribbon across the couple's entwined hands.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today…" Death began as Harry and Severus smiled at each other. Harry leaned forward and placed a kiss on his soon-to-be bonded's hand.

"I haven't gotten to that part yet, Master!" Death admonished which caused several of the audience members to laugh.

23 Years later

Severus and Harry, both now immortal, had been traveling the mainland for the last two years after giving people they trusted proxy voting power over their seats.

The couple had been taking a stroll just outside of Muggle Prague when they heard shouting coming from not so far away. The voices grew heated, and Harry, being the more curious of the two, wanted to know what was going on.

The shouting came from an alleyway, and when Harry and Severus got closer, they could see that it was between two nuns. One was clutching a young boy by the arm, painfully, if the scrunched face of the boy was any indication.

"Nemůžeš mi ho vnutit! Je to ďáblův zplozenec!" The nun in the doorway shouted as she braced herself. Harry's Czech was poor, but he understood part of the conversation. Especially the devil's spawn's comment. Severus was more practical and cast a translation spell.

"Sister Agatha, please. This is the last place that I can think of," the other nun begged. "The children at my orphanage abuse him so."

"Because he is a devil's spawn!" Sister Agatha uttered as she glared at the struggling boy. "This is the 7th orphanage he's been kicked out of. All the sisters say the same thing. He makes strange things happen!" she continued. "Sister Clarence's robes vanished on the street! One of the Mother Superiors wound up on the roof of her convent after disciplining him! He communicates with the devil!" Her eyes narrowed. "Sister, don't think the rumors haven't reached me. He communicates with snakes! The devil's servants!"

"Uhm, excuse me?" Harry interrupted as he could feel an unnatural wind whipping up in the alley. That definitely wasn't normal, and when he looked at the struggling child, he could sense faint whisps of magic.

"You want this child?" the sister holding the boy frowned as she looked at the newcomers, while the other nun warned them off with "Don't even look at the devil's spawn!"

Harry ignored the nuns, and now, as he got closer, he could feel the magic around this boy. It was strong and probably prone to lash out the more emotional he got.

"Hello, my name is Harry. What is yours?"

"Thomas," the boy mumbled as he eyed Harry with suspicion. "Thomas Gaunt,"

"YOU DIDN'T!" On a higher plane, Death shouted as he looked at Fate and then back towards the viewing pool. "TELL ME YOU DIDN'T! You wanted his soul for this?!"

"It was all going to come to a head one way or another," Fate shrugged casually. "He is Gormlaith Gaunt's descendant. Many think she never had children, but she had an illegitimate son due to an assault. She also never acknowledged her son due to his poor magical powers."

"But this?!" Death gestured towards the viewing pool.

"If your Master and his spouse don't take the boy, then he will become another Dark Wizard that history will remember," Fate stated.

"You could have at least let me turn him into a fruit fly! They live for 50 days max!" Death now sulked.

"Oh, but you'll be Uncle Death!" Fate chuckled. "Imagine Harry asking you to babysit."

"Merlin forbid!" Death looked aghast while his elder sister chuckled evilly.
