Meanwhile, back on the island of Sodor, Diesel 10 was sitting nearby a rocky cliff face on a section of track far from the mainline or so, him looking up at the cliff face with a satisfied smile, the cliff now having Diesel 10's face carved into the solid limestone and rock.
Diesel 10 rests his claw back onto his roof, looking on at his artwork, admiring what his mechanical arm had done. "Pinchy, you've captured the real me. I mean, that's beautiful. I could cry." Diesel 10 complimented to his mechanical appendage in admiration. He had to admit, his claw definitely got the best parts of him.
Just then, two British Rail (BR) Class 08 diesel-electric shunters pulled up on the adjacent tracks nearby, a small rumble coming from their engines before their brakes grind as they stop. These two diesels are both painted in dark grey, but the first diesel's cab, utility boxes and front are painted in dull purple, while the second diesel's are painted olive green. The first diesel has the name 'Splatter', the second shunter having 'Dodge' painted on their sides in white.
"Uh, boss." The purple diesel began. "We're here." The yellow shunter added, now getting the larger BR Class 42 diesel's attention from his rock carving.
"Huh?" Diesel 10 now looked over, and he saw the two diesels. He immediately snapped to attention. "Oh! Right right, listen, you two. I, uh, I got a job for you, Splodge." He began to explain to them.
The twins looked confused by their boss' words as they look to one another. "Actually, it's S-Splatter." The purple diesel said. "And-And Dodge." The yellow diesel added.
(A/N: for clarification to who's who, Splatter will have Italic text, while Dodge is underlined)
"I AIN'T GOT TIME TO SAY BOTH NAMES!!!" Diesel 10 snarled out at them with clenched teeth, which all made both of the diesels stop in their tracks.
"Oh. Oh, well." The two diesels sighed and corrected themselves.
"I've come back here to find a steam engine." Diesel 10 said to the two diesels with an evil smile, once calming down.
Splatter and Dodge grinned in response. "Well, that's easy. Yeah, they're everywhere." They said together, while laughing together.
"Not the one I want." Diesel 10 told them with the same expression as he thought back hard, remembering when he was on the island years ago and had caused much trouble for the steam engines, especially one particular little tank engine. "She escaped me once before. As long as she exists, so do the others, but if she can be destroyed..." He trails off.
"D-Destroy?" Splatter spoke out.
"Did you say destroy?" Dodge asked.
"The D word." Splatter clarified to him.
"Like hunt down?" Dodge questioned.
"Yes. Destroy." Diesel 10 replied back at them, now grumpy with his lackeys and their annoyance.
"But, there's one wee small little problem there, boss." Dodge spoke up. "Ya, Mr. Garcia is coming here to the island, and he won't let you destroy her." Splatter added. "Yeah. There's even some two little kids and some dog wondering about with the steam engines." Dodge included.
Diesel 10 was now cross as he clenched his teeth and glares at the two small shunter diesels. "I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT!! I can get them too, with Pinchy." He now lifts Pinchy up above him and snaps the claw for emphasis, while laughing aloud evilly. But then, Pinchy stopped snapping, and it abruptly drops down, and smacked into Diesel 10's face. "OW! PINCHY! I hate it when you do that." He groaned from being hit in the face, his eyes spinning.
Splatter and Dodge laughed silently at their boss' struggles with his mechanical appendage, and seeing this even happening, it's rather humorous to see.
Diesel 10 now glares back at both Splatter at Dodge after he had wrestled control of his mechanical claw. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Don't just sit there like your engines are idling!! GET GOING!!!" He snapped.
Both shunter diesels immediately get their engines going, and they go on their way, Diesel 10 sighing to himself as he looks up at his face up at the cliff face. He smirked as he looks on, then he rumbled his engine to life, and the BR Class 42 diesel began to make his way down the line, now on the prowl.

Back in the human world, at a nice modest home somewhere just outside of Shining Time, a young girl was hanging up the washing out in the backyard. Today seemed to be a nice day to do so, and one to enjoy for the time being.
The girl is named Andrea Garcia. She stands 5'8" tall, has the most enchanting set of ocean blue eyes one person could have, accompanied by short golden blonde hair with a few blue highlights framing her face, and has porcelain white skin. She looks like she is 15 in the face, but she's 17 years old. She has on a light blue shirt with a cerulean shield, a white star in the middle with the word 'Autism' on top and 'Awareness' on the bottom of the shield, and a pair of comfortable black jeans with a black belt around her waist. Over the top of the shirt is a white and blue jersey jacket with a dragon on the left sleeve, a VHMS Patriot's School symbol on the right sleeve, and her last name on the top back, with the number 10 on the bottom of the last name, a pair of blue shoes with red thunder marks and a white 95 on each of them, and white socks.
Andrea looks over to see her German Shepherd dog whom she named Buzz walk over, sitting nearby her. Andrea smiled softly and gently patted her dog's head, the German Shepherd humming as he enjoyed the head pats. A moment goes by, then they both hear a faint twinkling sound. Buzz barks twice, and Andrea now saw a golden flash and glistening nearby, and there stood her father Franklin Garcia now appear before her and her dog.
Franklin Garcia looks to be a Caucasian male at about 37yrs of age, with a set of brown eyes, accompanied by short blonde hair. He stands around 6ft tall, and he has a firm body figure and shape. He is wearing a blue and gold railway conductor's uniform, with conductor's hat included.
"Whoa. Dad. I didn't know you were home." Andrea smiled as she ran up to him. "Hiya."
Franklin looks over to Andrea, showing a soft smile. "Hello, Andi. Buzz." He greeted to the two, Buzz sitting there and barks once in acknowledgement. "Good boy." He then adjusted his outfit, and he checks if he has all his gear. "Okay. Let's see... Tool kit? Check. Ticket puncher? Check-check. All aboard!" He suddenly announced. "Just testing, Andi. Mustn't let my conducting skills get rusty." He reassured to his daughter.
"I guess today is an important day, Dad?" Andrea took a guess. "I mean, you're all dressed up and ready to go."
Franklin now looked to his daughter with a big smile on his face. "Oh, yes. It is a very important day! I'm going to the Island of Sodor." He announced.
Andrea was now taken aback. "Wait- Really?! You mean... the island is real?" She asked in surprise. "The very same island from the 'Railway Series' books and the TV show?" Franklin can't help but chuckle and nod back to his daughter. "But... but how?" Andrea asked.
"Oh, the island does exist, but it exists within a plane of existence that nobody knows about, except they believe the island to be protected by a magical entity." Franklin clarified to his daughter. "But yes. The island does indeed exist. As well as Thomas and all his friends."
"Wow..." Andrea looks on in amazement.
"Indeed. Sir Topham Hatt has given me a really big responsibility. He's asked me watch over the railway for a few days while he and Miss Lady Hatt are on holiday. And I shouldn't be late." Franklin
"I hope your visit goes well, Dad." Andrea smiles and shared a hug with her father.
"Thank you." Franklin hugs his daughter back. "Now, I must be responsible, reliable and... Don't tell me." He said to himself.
"Really useful?" Andrea cheekily answered.
Franklin huffed and shook his head. "Really useful. I knew that." He said back, Andrea giggling at this. "Come on, let's get to Shining Time."
"Sure. Let's go." Andrea nodded.
Over at Shining Time, Stacey was just finishing up talking to someone on the phone regarding schedule changes for the next train. As she puts away her phone, she looks over to see Franklin Garcia and his daughter Andrea walk in. She gives them a wave as they wave back while approaching the front desk.
Franklin now takes notice of the painting that the Mystery, Inc. gang had found earlier. "Stacey, where did you find this painting?" Franklin inquired, gesturing to the painting.
"In an old locker. It was done by Burnett Stone when he was a child." Stacey answered. "I was told that he used to work on this railroad. But he never leaves the other side of the mountain now."
Andrea now took notice of her father's expression as she looks between him and the painting. "You seem puzzled, Dad."
"I AM puzzled. This place on this painting, it looks just like that of the Island of Sodor." Franklin stated, Andrea and Stacey looking to him. "But how could Burnett Stone even travel there without any gold dust? That's been the only way to make the trip since the Lost Engine disappeared."
Andrea looks on at her father. 'Lost Engine?' She thought. What did he mean by that?
"Anyway, I just came to say goodbye. I have to go now." Franklin now said to them.
This immediately got the ladies' attention as they look to him. "Wait. Right now?" Stacey and Andrea asked in unison before looking back at one another.
"Yes. I have to make sure everything's safe and sound on the Island of Sodor. Just as I try to do here." Franklin clarified back to them.
"Just be careful when you're over there." Andrea said to her father.
"I will. You take care of yourself and your mother until I get back." Franklin now pulls out a small gold whistle from the chain around his neck. "To the Island of Sodor... AND BEYOND!" He announced, and blew the whistle. In response, Andrea watches as her father disappears in a flash of golden dust, heading off to the island and the North Western Railway.
Unbeknownst to anyone else in the room, Willow had seen and heard everything from what the Garcia man just said, and had witnessed him vanish with gold dust.
'Lost Engine... Gold Dust... The Island of Sodor...' Willow thought to herself. 'That has to be where Braedey, Rose, and Scooby had gone to. But the next question is how to get there...' She had to leave and make some notes.

Back on Sodor, Thomas the Tank Engine was currently chugging his way along the mainline towards Knapford. He had passed by stations like Maron and Wellsworth, but he still hasn't spotted Franklin Garcia anywhere.
"Mr. Garcia, where are you?" Thomas called out as he trundles along the line. "I know you live far away, but you always seem to get here on time." He wondered.
Just a little further away down the tracks, there looks to be a flash of gold and the twinkling of golden dust, as a figure in a blue conductor's uniform appeared nearby the train tracks, just as Thomas arrives.
"Mr. Garcia!" Thomas whistled happily and in relief, him now coming to a gentle stop and hiss of steam. "Are you all right?" He asked to the blonde male.
"Hello, Thomas. I'm alright. But sometimes, everything happens at once." Franklin answered back to the blue tank engine. "I have to get to Knapford to see Sir Topham Hatt, and get my orders right away." He then winced as he rolled his left shoulder. "The journey from Shining Time keeps getting bumpier and bumpier." He muttered to himself.
Thomas looks concerned as he heard this. "Does it?" Franklin nodded before he makes his way over, and climbed up into Thomas' cab. "That big bully Diesel 10 is back, Mr. Garcia. You had better be careful." Thomas advised cautiously.
"Sir Topham Hatt warned me about Diesel. Don't you worry a thing, Thomas." Franklin reassured to Thomas, the blue tank engine as he began to puff away with his passenger onboard, heading towards Knapford. "I'll just pop in and out wherever he goes... and keep him in order, I hope."
"You won't be alone in that ordeal, especially with our three new friends." Thomas added in. This got Franklin's attention. What did Thomas mean by that?
But as this is happening, Diesel 10 was already causing trouble. He had pulled into Knapford Station, and pretended to try and grab some of the passengers with his big claw, scaring them off as he does so.
"Old McDiesel had a plan, Hee, hee, hee, hee, hee~" Diesel 10 sung to himself as he leaves the station. "With a pinch-pinch here, a pinch-pinch there, Here a pinch, there a pinch-" He chucked as he rolled off the out the yards. "I crack myself up."
As he left, Rose and Scooby peek out from behind one of the station pillars, the two breathing a sigh. They were fast to hide before Diesel 10 could reach them, and stayed dead silent to make sure to not be caught, and made sure he was long gone before they emerged.
"Roo close." Scooby sighed in relief.
"You're not wrong. That mechanical menace is going to cause no end of trouble here." Rose agreed with Scooby.
"Reah." Scooby nodded.
"But I'm still trying to wonder about what he said about a lost steam engine." Rose wondered. Scooby looked at her. "Diesel 10 knows of something some of the engines do or don't know. And if he does, this railway and others could be at risk."
"Oh..." Scooby muttered in concern.
"Come on. Let's go." Rose said to Scooby, and the two of them immediately head off to find Bertie so they could go and find Braedey.
