Sure enough, that night at Tidmouth Sheds, all of the engines had returned to the sheds and have settled in for the night, each of them now having fallen asleep. Braedey, Rose, and Scooby-Doo were over where they slept a few days earlier, over by the large hole in the wall nearby Thomas' berth. The construction materials should arrive by tomorrow so the hole in the wall won't be there.

"Well, today's been... eventful." Rose commented softly to the others. It had taken some time for her to clean herself and Scooby after the whole sneezing powder fiasco. She didn't blame Harold for that; to her, it was just an accident.

"You can say that." Braedey nodded back.

"At least we cleaned up the mess before the day was through, as well as the engines." Rose added in next.

"But I think tomorrow will turn out better than it did today. That's just how the world works." Braedey shrugged.

"Not bad philosophy there." Mr. Garcia complimented to them. He looked over to Scooby and patted the Great Dane's head. "You kinda remind me of my own dog back home. Though he's a German Shepherd, but he means well."

"Oh..." Scooby looks on in curiosity.

Braedey looks out to the night sky outside. He was in lost in thought about this 'Lost Engine' the others have been talking about earlier today, but he's also wondering about the rest of the gang and if they're alright or looking for him, Rose, and Scooby.

"You alright?" Mr. Garcia questioned, getting Braedey's attention.

"I will be... just thinking about my family." Braedey replied softly, poking out at the moon in the night sky above.

"I'm sure they'll find a way to you, or even vice versa." Mr. Garcia reassured to Braedey. "Let's go and make some hot cocoa." He suggested to them. "That can help soothe the heart and make things better for everyone."

"That sounds like a good idea." Rose commented with a soft nod of her head.

"Reah." Scooby agreed, showing a smile on his face.

Braedey nodded in agreement. "Sure. Let's do that." He goes to get a cup of hot cocoa along with Mr. Garcia, Rose, and Scooby.

But, unbeknownst to them, someone was slowly rolling up towards the sheds, and was laughing quietly, but in an evil tone. Two small lights emerge from the darkness, and the silhouetted figure got closer to the sheds. Then, as the floodlights around the sheds and the shunting yards now revealed the character, it revealed it to be nine other than Diesel 10. The BR Class 42 diesel slows himself to a stop by the scaffolding around the hole where he can see Thomas and the other engines asleep inside.

"Alright, Pinchy, my little bucket of badness." Diesel 10 said quietly to his claw, as he now stopped with a hiss from his brakes. "Time to feast yourself." He now raised his claw up to the top of the scaffolding above him. Then, with an almighty swing, he smashed right into the scaffolding!!

Braedey, Mr. Garcia, Rose, and Scooby were suddenly taken by surprise when they heard and felt the violent shake and crash that shook around the building. The sudden crash and shaking outside the sheds also woke up the engines, all of them startled by this. Then, as the scaffolding fell away into a pile on the ground, the engines seeing who caused the disturbance outside, the four occupants alongside taken aback.

"What was that?!" Braedey called out.

"Cinders and ashes! It's Diesel!" Thomas now spoke out in shock.

"Diesel?! Oh, no!" The other engines were all in shock, as the dust settled around them.

Rose shook her head. "Diesel 10 is here?" She echoed.

"Ruh-oh." Scooby muttered in concern.

Diesel 10 laughed evilly, as he snapped his claw at the engines inside of their sheds, all of them stunned and unable to move as they look on at the maniacal diesel outside of their sheds.

"Hello there, Twinkle Toes!" Diesel 10 snapped his claw at the engines and the occupants inside. "I've got a plan, and you're not in it!"

"You won't get away with this, Diesel I0!" Braedey declared.

"You can't catch me, Diesel." Me. Garcia told him, then blew his whistle around his neck. But, as a soft note came out, a gold glittery aura appears around him, but it vanished from him, and it sounded like it was zapping electricity, like it was failing. He tried again, but the same thing happened. He looks on in concern.

"What? What's going on?" Rose questioned in confusion.

"Something's not right." Braedey answered ominously.

"His magic..." Scooby muttered out.

Diesel 10 laughed evilly as he saw this, as he snapped his claw at the humans and engines. "Losing your sparkle, huh? What perfect time." He mused. "Now, where is that Lost Engine?" He demanded from Mr. Garcia and the engines. Rose and Braedey knew this was very serious. Diesel 10 was after the Lost Engine for one reason - to be rid of her and to take her power. It was like he has a vendetta or something alike against her and all steam engines.

"You'll never find her here on this island, Diesel 10!" Braedey's voice called out. He now found something that could be of use and collects it.

"He's right." Rose added in next. "You'll never see her. She's not even here."

"You're not clever enough to stop me." Diesel 10 stated as he looks in, snapping his claw in the process.

"Yes, I am." Braedey replied back, as he slowly stepped towards the light.

"No, you're not!" Diesel 10 snapped back.

"Oh, yes, I am." Mr. Garcia added.

"No, you're not!" Diesel 10 snapped back.

"Are too!" Scooby now stated.

"Are not!" Diesel 10 barks back. Suddenly, a loud whip cracking sound snapped right by Diesel I0's roof, his eyes widening as he looks about, thinking it was possibly a gunshot or something that had gone off, the bullet possibly whizzing right by his roof. "WHAT IS THAT!" He yelled out.

Braedey now stood by the remains of the scaffolding around the wall, armed with a whip in his hand. He spins the whip above him and strikes it, the cracking whip sound echoing out overhead, his movements precise and perfect, as if he were the classic action hero Indiana Jones.

"You think you can get away with attacking us in our shed? Next time you go do this stupid stunt, it'll be the last thing you do! NOW GET!" Braedey threatened, then he cracks the whip at Diesel 10 as if he were a Lion tamer in the circus, the cracking whip sound echoing overhead of the diesel locomotive. "I SAID GET! GET BACK!" Braedey ordered, Diesel 10 placing his claw back on his roof. "Back to the scrapyard from whence you came!"

Diesel 10 grunted and snarled with clenched teeth, as he slowly began to reverse away. "Make the most of tonight, Twinkle Toes. Because you won't like tomorrow!" He yelled out as he reversed away from Tidmouth Sheds. "Neither will that... that line of steam kettles!" He called out, his claw snapping out. Soon, he was gone from sight, but he can still be heard, since his claw wouldn't be quiet. "Shut up, Pinchy." Diesel 10 called out to his wayward claw, and finally, he was gone.

"Rone." Scooby stated.

"For now." Rose added softly and with uncertainty.

After that little unexpected event. Mr. Garcia, Braedey, Rose, and Scooby move away from the collapsed scaffolding and sat by the bed core. The former was unsure of what's going on. It was like their magic was sucked out of him. He felt weak, as if his Gold-Dust seemed to have vanished.

"Mr. Garcia?" Thomas asked. "What happened to your sparkle?" He was concerned for his friend.

"What did happen to your magic?" Rose questioned.

"I don't know, Thomas." Mr. Garcia replied to the blue tank engine.

"We'll just have to sleep on that." Braedey answered as well.

Thomas looked confused. "On your sparkle?"

"No, Thomas." Mr. Garcia corrected to him. "On the problem of what happened to it." He clarified in explanation.

"Reah." Scooby nodded.

"What are you going to do now?" Thomas now asked.

"We're going help, Thomas." Braedey replied, sitting next to Rose. "We need to know what happened, and how to get their magic back."

"But, Mr. Garcia." Percy spoke up, him looking rather worried for them. "Without your sparkle, or the Lost Engine, you can't travel here, and you won't be able to help us anymore, or help Braedey, Rose, and Scooby-Doo get back home."

"Don't worry, Percy. We'll solve the problem." Braedey reassured to the little green engine. "But that is for tomorrow. Do not worry."

"You can all go back to sleep now." Mr. Garcia now said to the engines, then he turns the lights off.

"Easy for you to say." Percy said softly.

Braedey, Rose, and Scooby all now look on to one another, all three of them having a sense of uncertainty about what might happen next, especially with the sudden disappearance of magic. It made them feel concerned, not just for Mr. Garcia, but also for the engines, and the whole island...

A little later in the evening, everyone had eventually fallen asleep, despite the rude interruption by Diesel 10 earlier. Braedey and Rose were both hugging one another in one bed cot, with Scooby asleep in another cot nearby, Mr. Garcia in his own cot. The engines have all fallen asleep and settled down for the evening.

Mr. Garcia rolled about in his bed. He then woke up, almost thinking of something odd. "Sparkle, Magic Railroad, buffers, Lost Engine." Percy was awakened and heard this, and he was rather confused. Scooby was also woken up and looks over. "My family always told me that if there was a railroad and an engine, there will be harmony. As long as there is Gold-Dust, there will be energy; you will never have to worry." She laughed a little. Percy smiled when he heard this, and fell back to sleep. Scooby shrugged as he too fell asleep. But as they sleep, Braedey and Rose were both having nightmares, the two of them both holding one another as their dreams were terrifying.

For Braedey, he was lost and alone in an apocalyptic scene, him trying but failing to find anyone. He could only see much fading away from him, like all the magic is fading from sight. He reaches a train station, but it was closed down, the steam engine there rusting away with the coaches, and it seemed like the city had been reduced to nothing but an empty ghost town...

As for Rose, she was underwater and making her way along towards what looks to be Mermaid Tail, her home in the Dominican Republic. But as she got closer, she felt short of breath, feeling like something was wrong. She looks back at her tail, and to her shock, she saw that her tail was starting to disappear, slowly changing to that of a pair of legs. Rose looks ahead, but as she did, she saw Mermaid Tail was crumbling away like a house of cards, collapsing down to the ground. Rose tries to swim up towards the surface, but her tail was fading away faster than she could swim...

Braedey suddenly shot out of bed, and looked around. He saw she's still at Tidmouth Sheds, and still in bed. He sighed, and wiped off sweat off her forehead. But, he had a very bad thought going on through his mind. He then saw Rose sit up with a look of fright.

"You had a nightmare, too?" Braedey asked softly.

"Yes... It was Mermaid Tail..." Rose replied hesitantly. "It was crumbling away and turning to dust... the magic all fading away... Like it didn't exist, and it felt like I was drowning..."

"I didn't see it from the start, but now, after what happened earlier tonight, I now know what it means. The magic all around us is in danger of collapse." Braedey realised.

"Wait. You don't mean..." Rose looks on in concern. She felt dread forming within her body as she looks on.

"Mermaid Tail, this island, Thomas and his friends..." Braedey looks at the engines, then looks back at Rose. "All of it will fade away from existence, all childhood memories disappeared, and nobody will ever know." He added in dread, horror present on his face.

Braedey and Rose look at each other with fear written on their faces. "We've got to find the Gold-Dust and get all the magic back!" They said in unison, and they shot out of bed at once.
