Uzumaki Difference
Naruto is placed on a team with two clan heiress both very important to the future of the village, he knows he's on the team for a reason and he'll make sure they become the best they can be. Naruto/multi. Strong Naruto. FemSasuke. FemHaku
"Team 7!" Iruka announced "will consist of the rookie of the year, Uchiha Sasuki and kunoichi of the year Hyúga Hinata."
The two kunoichi turned to each other gaze meeting with a simple nod of acknowledgement towards one another. Sasuki and Hinata had always been battling for the top spot in their class, each gaining an edge of the other in varying subjects. Determining the rookie of the year came down to their last spar of the exam with Sasuki managing to trap Hinata's right arm behind her back and Sasuki's knee on the back of her head. With Hinata laying on her front in the dirt and no way of escaping unscathed she was forced to tap giving Sasuki the victory and the title of 'Rookie of the Year'.
"Your third member will be, ugh, U-Uzumaki Naruto?" Iruka stuttered out.
"Who!?" yelled a kunoichi with short brown hair and red markings on her face.
Iruka looked up from the sheet, still unsure if it was correct "Ugh, Kiba don't shout in class!" he chastised before answering "Uzumaki Naruto is a genin who was trained outside of the academy, he was given genin status last year but apparently hasn't been given a team since."
"Pfft" Kiba scoffed "He didn't even graduate from the academy and no one wants him on their team?" Kiba looked over to Sasuki "Ha, good luck with that Uchiha!"
"Kiba!" Iruka shouted "There is no need for that, you are all shinobi of Konoha, you need to remeber that!"
Meanwhile Sasuki's mind was racing, 'Naruto-kun, on my team? I-i...' she couldn't control herself and a quite "yes!" escaped her shocking those around her.
Hinata's eyes widened at the name "N-naruto?" she whispered.
Iruka cleared his throat before continuing "As I was saying, Team 7 will be Uchiha Sasuki, Hyúga Hinata and Uzumaki Naruto. Your jonin sensei will be Uzumaki Kushina."
"Yes!" came the shout from the resident Uchiha causing the whole class other than Hinata to stare at her wide eyed, they'd never seen her so animated or loud. Hinata was now just smiling happy with the team she had been placed on.
"R-right, anyway, Team 8 will be Aburame Shino, Haruno Sakura and Inuzuka Kiba your jonin sensei will be Yúhi Kurenai" Iruka continued, just wanting to finish and get out of there "Team 9 is still in rotation, Team 10 will be Akimichi Chóji, Nara Shikamari and Yamanaka Ino your jonin sensei will be Sautobi Asuma." With that Iruka let out a breath before looking up at the class "well, that's it, your jonin sensei will be here within the next hour or two and you will receive further instruction from them. Good luck out there class, keep safe and be strong"
"Hai Iruka-sensei!" came the reply before their teacher gave them a bow before leaving the room.
The class split amongst themselves, mostly grouping into their teams before leaving to catch the sun and relax before they officially are no longer students. Meanwhile Sasuki made her way over to Hinata who was eating lunch from a small bento box.
"Hyúga-san I'm glad we're on a team together, at least now I know I don't have to worry about being let down by my team mates." Sasuki said "Do you know Naruto-kun?"
Hinata looked up at Sasuki with a slight dusting of red on her cheeks "N-naruto-kun? Yes, we've met a few times, Kushina-sama knew my mother." she finished softly before looking back down at her food, she didn't really like talking to others about her mother.
"Huh, same, Kushina-sama and Kaa-chan where academy friends, I can't believe he never said anything!" Sasuki complained "I seen him last week and not a word!"
"M-maybe he didn't know either" Hinata replied pulling the zip of her cream coloured jacket a little higher.
"I guess, either way I can't wait, Kushina-sama will make us strong and I'm going to prove that bastard wrong!" Sasuki finished with a whisper.
Most of the teams had been picked up from the classroom, only Teams 7, 8 and 10 remained still waiting for their jonin sensei. Most of the would be ninja waited quietly, one of the kunoichi with dark hair tied into a spiky top knot seemed to be asleep at her desk. As the classroom door slid open those still conscious looked up as someone walked in. The first thing most of ninja in the classroom noticed was the striking bright red hair and a black clothed hitai-ate with the Konoha symbol before lowering to the intense blue eyes that swept the class. Upon seeing the two kunoichi they were evidently looking for their eyes widened slightly and a small smile graced the tanned face bringing attention to the three whisker like marks on each of his cheeks.
He wore an open sleeveless orange flak style jacket with black trim around the arms and zipper. The fishnet shirt worn underneath done nothing to hide the obvious abs with what appeared to be a spiral tattoo over his navel. Standard black shinobi pants tapered off into bandage wrapped shins leading to black shinobi sandals. The most unusual thing that stood out was the second red clothed hitai-ate tied around his left bicep, the plate of which was adorned with the same swirl symbol most Konoha ninja clothing had on the sleeves or back.
"Team 7, with me." he called to the two kunoichi sat next to each other at the back of the room.
"Naruto-kun!" exclaimed Sasuki as she made her way quickly to the doorway he was standing in "where is Kushina-sama?"
"Kaa-sama is waiting for us, I will take you to her shortly" replied Naruto before he turned to the rest of the class, who had sat staring at the scene before them "hello, my name is Uzumaki Naruto, I look forward to working with you all in the future" he finished with a slight bow before turning and leaving the room with his two kunoichi team mates.
"Ok you two, follow me, I'll be quick so keep up, -ttebayo" with that Naruto took off at a steady pace glancing back to see both Sasuki and Hinata keeping pace behind him, with a small smile and a slight nod he jumped to the rooftops and continued on his way to meet his mother. It took another five minutes of the steady pace he set before the trio landed in a clearing surrounded by trees with a small lake on the far side.
Sitting on the grass before them as they landed was a kunoichi, obvious by her green Konoha flak jacket and a blue clothed hitai-ate with the Konoha symbol etched into it that was tied around her forehead surrounded by medium length red hair, the same colour as Naruto's, that stopped at her shoulders. She also wore the standard blue shinobi pants and sandals, underneath the flak jacket was a short sleeve fishnet top just visible on her arms. Uzumaki Kushina.
"Naru-chan, about time -ttebane" she greeted with a smile "Sasuki-chan, Hinata-chan, welcome to your new training ground. This will be your meeting place each morning and don't worry about being interrupted here, this training ground is private for Senju or Uzumaki clan members."
"H-hello Kushina-sama, thank you for sharing these grounds with us." Hinata greeted with a bow.
"Yeah, Kushina-sama, thank you" agreed Sasuki.
Kushina smiled back at the two young kunoichi "you're both very welcome, but please, you can call me sensei, -ttebane" she said with a teasing grin "right, normally you three would be put through another test given by jonin sensei to see if you can work as an active team or if you need to be put on reserves" Kushina stated causing both girls eyes to widen as they glanced at Naruto to see his reaction, he just smiled lightly at them before turning his attention back to his mother "you three though are a special case, I know each of you has more than enough skill to be genin and each of you get along with one another."
Hinata smiled slightly before speaking up "b-but what makes us so special" she asks nervously. Both Naruto and Sasuki look at Hinata, frowning at the question but seeming to also want to know the answer.
"Well, Hinata-chan, we have the heiress of one of the strongest clans, who where one of the first to join Konoha, have a very special dōjutsu and has the ability to back it up" Kushina smirked as Hinata gave a sideways look at Sasuki "we also have the heiress of one of the strongest clans, who where one of the first to join Konoha, have a very special dōjutsu and has the ability to back it up" Kushina chuckled as Hinata's head snapped up to look at her "yes Hinata-chan, both you and Sasuki are very important young ninja, skilled and just need the right directing."
Sasuki bumped hips with Hinata gaining her attention "See Hinata, I tell you all the time you need to be more confident in yourself, if you can keep up with me then you deserve to be here just as much if not more than anyone else."
"T-thank you Sasuki-san" Hinata blushed heavily.
"Yeah! Kaa-sama is right, Hinata-chan, Sasuki-chan, the three of us together will make and awesome team and I've been waiting for this for a year now -ttebayo" Naruto seemed to get a little excited at the prospect of finally being on a team, before calmed and kept a small smile on his face looking at all three ladies before him.
Kushina stood up then, dusting herself off, before gaining her teams attention once more, "I guess I should test you somewhat, you know, cover all the bases in-case someone asks, hmmm. Ok Hinata-chan, Sasuki-chan you have half an hour to subdue Naru-chan and keep him captive until the timer has finished! No weapons, Hinata you are free to use Byakugan, Naruto no chains and no furball."
"Hai, Kaa-sama" Both girls looked at each other before turning to the smiling Naruto "Hinata-chan, Sasuki-chan, please try your best so I know what I'm working with here" his smile widening.
Naruto stood opposite the two kunoichi relaxed while he took in their appearance, Hinata stood in the classic gentle fist stance still wearing her cream coloured jacket, legs covered by dark blue shorts that tapered in just past her knees with standard blue shinobi sandals. Her hair was a dark, midnight blue cut in a short bob and bangs hanging over the shiny new Konoha hitai-ate firmly tied to her forehead, just below which two pale lavender eyes narrowed in concentration at the male red head opposite her.
Sasuki faced him side on, fists clenched ready to pounce. She wore a high collared, sleeveless blue shirt with the Uchiha symbol on the back that ended just above her navel showing a firm stomach with the evidence of a six pack starting to come through. A light grey, almost white pair of hot pants was worn over the top of fishnet shorts that ended mid thigh. Her forearms and shins where wrapped in white bandages with the standard blue shinobi sandals adorning her feet. Raven black hair was tied up in a mess of spikes allowing bangs to fall past her hitai-ate just like Hinata's, though below hers where two narrowed onyx eyes showing she was ready to strike.
Naruto himself was ready to go, just waiting for his mother to give the signal. It was a shame he had to hold back. He really wanted to show theses two what he could really do, but he understood they wern't ready for that yet, not everyone could be a Uzumaki jinchūriki.
'What about you, furball-chan, ready to start picking up training again?' Naruto thought to his tenant 'It's been awhile since we've made any progress.'
A loud rumbling echoed in his head, "How many times have I told you not to call me that you puny little whelp!?"
'Well since you won't tell me your name I have to call you something' Naruto replied.
"You have not earned that right yet, maybe when you can control at least three tails, and if you want to call me something then call me Kúybi, you bat."
'Heh, fine, be that way. Fox-baka' Naruto retorted in his mind as out of the corner of his eye he sees his mothers hand drop.
"Hajime!"
