7. The Power of the crystal

Chapter 7: Bellas pirates on the attack and the power of the crystal

As Stolas was talking to Andrephelus Blitzo tried a new strategy to get free and save Stolas and that was climbing up the stone walls in hope to get to the top and slip out to save the owl…but slipped down with a yelp as he fell on his bum rolling back against a wall as he groaned a bit in pain as the door opened as a military imp looked in "Lets go out" he said gruffly as Blitzo peeked out the door and saw a familiar sight as he ran out "Stolas!" Yelled Blitzo as the two embraced "Are you alright Blitzo?" Asked Stolas worried "I'm okay but what about you? They didnt hurt you didnt they?" Asked Blitzo as the owl checked the imp over a Andrephelus leaned down "Blitzo I am for sorry, there's been a grave misunderstanding we had no idea how nobly you fought to protect our little Stolas from those awful pirates" he said confusing Blitzo "What's he talking about?" He asked but Stolas gave a sad look.

"Blitzo do this for me forget about Laputa" he said confusing Blitzo "What are you saying?" He asked confused "Its been decided that the search for Laputa will be made secretly by the army with Stolas cooperation really the best thing you can do is forget you ever heard of the place" said Andrephelus as Blitzo was confused and worried "Forget about Laputa?" He asked "I'm sorry Blitzy I caused you so much trouble I hope someday you can forgive me" said Stolas but Blitzo just shook his head no "I cant forget no way! Laputa means to much to both of us" said Blitzo but Stolas just looked sad as he walked away "Good bye" he said "Stolas" yelled Blitzo as he tried to run after him but was blocked by Andrephelus as he struggled "Come back!" He yelled "Now you behave little impling *Blitzo slipped out but was grabbed by his shirt* use your head!" Said Andre as Blitzo watched Andres assistant lead Stolas out as the door slammed close as Blitzo was heartbroken and shocked as Andrephelus took his hand "Here something to show our *Puts three gold coins into Blitzos claws* appreciation of your efforts.

He said as he walked off leaving a stunned Blitzo. Minutes later at the front gate Blitzo walked through onto a dirt path with a sachel and his hat back, his heart heavy at what Stolas said to give up on Laputa as he was glad he wasnt shot at, it still didnt take away the sting of betrayal as he took one look over his shoulder…then ran out of the military castle and into the fields on the dirt path tearfully crying as he ran into a town as through a window on the tower Andrephelus and Stolas watched as the owl felt full of guilt and remorse for what he had said, but he cared more to see the imp safe. The poor owl so distracted he didnt flinch or react when Andre placed his necklace around his neck "Only you can do it remember the words that bring the crystal to life *Leans close* keep your promise and you too will be free" he said darkly as he left, but once gone Stolas broke down crying at how constantly he was used for the crystal and for who he was and wishes for that freedom that he feels wont happen.

Night soon came in the mining town as many hellborn and sinners walked down the night path doing there jobs and work as in a home as Christopher was chasing out a piglet invader with a broom as he turned and saw Blitzo walking down the path head low "Hay mommy, mommy its Blitzo! Blitzos outside!" He yelled as Vaggie stepped out and saw the sad imp "Oh my Blitzo!" She said running up to the imp 'Well where have you been?" She asked as Blitzo just kept his head down "We were all very worried about you Blitzo, what happed to your freind?" She asked wondering where Stolas was "its over now" he said sadly "What?" Was what Vaggie could ask before Blitzo ran away avoiding Vaggie calls as he just ran down the street to his home but tripped as the three gold coins he was forced to accept fell out of his bag as he grabbed them angrily as he wanted to throw them…

He just instead broke down crying at the unfairness of it all as he got up and pocketed the coins and then just continued to his home as he sadly walked up to the door to his home ready to weep…however those were broke nas the door slammed open as he was graded by his shirt as he was dragged in…and then hog tied by one of Bellas kids as he looked up and saw Bella having taken over his home and set out a feast as her kids ate "Welcome home kiddo" said Bella as Blitzo got mad and got up to charge "Get out!" He yelled however his bound wrists were tied like a leash as Drago held it tight and dragged him to a beam "Or I'll throw you out!" He yelled as he was tied to it "Its my house" he yelled as Bella who ate a drumstick just tossed the bone over her shoulder "You dont scare me runt you cant even protect one small boy…" she said grabbing a lobster as Blitzo struggled annoyed "What do you mean" he demanded as Drago searched his pockets and founded the gold "Hay ma can I keep this money?" He asked as Bella gave a look "Up and sold the little boy did you? I know your type" she said as she ate as that made Blitzo mad "You dont know what your talking about!" Yelled Blitzo annoyed at the accusation "They offered you money and you took it didnt you?" Said Bella as that made Blitzo bristle "I only left because Stolas told me to that's why" he said as Bella spat out the lobster shell and gave the imp a smug look "So you believed him and you came back here like a crybaby right? Your just a scared little boy that runs away!" Yelled Bella as she slammed her fists into the table as Blitzo got mad "your one to talk you couldn't stand up to Andrephelus and the army!" Yelled Blitzo "He who turns and runs away can steel the treasure another day *leans close* dont you think its kinda strange that the army has gotten into the kidnapping buisness? *Having stabbed a hunk of meat with a knife she ripped off a piece as she held it* do you really think they'll keep him alive? Dont you see that they forced him to make a deal?" She said as Blitzos eyes widden in realization and confusion as Bella ate down the piece of meat

"He saved your life get it?" Said Bella as Chaz and Striker chatted with there mom as Blitzo started to realize it must be true "Mom you amazed me how do you know these things?" Asked Chaz as Blitzo got serous faced "Well you cant be a sensitive women like me without learning a few things Stolas and I are exactly alike all warm and soft and sensitive" said Bella taking the wine jug from Chaz "Now so when you boys and girls get married you go and find a mate like him" said Bella chugging the wine down as the two were confused "There gonna end up like mama?" Asked Chaz

However the conversation was interrupted as a radio rang that was picking up a signal as Bella in a quick motion knocked away the food annoying Chaz and Striker "Aww that was good ham" said Chaz as the two tried to clean it up as Bella adjusted the frequency as Bella listened through the mike as she smirked humming as she chuckled checking a book "Ah it wont work changing the code on me *Frowns after checking the codebook* they're calling for air destroyer Goliath" she said as the camera goes to outside at the sky as a grand airplane flew through the sky as code beeping was heard but Bella got every word of it "They're planning to take off with Stolas *Puts it down* we got to hurry or it'll be to late! Come on boys stop eating!" She commanded "I'm going mama" said Striker as he and Chaz stopped picking up the food as they rushed out to get ready to save the owl "Wait are you gonna rescue Stolas?" Asked Blitzo "No we aren't little runt we want her crystal" said Drago "Wait a minute! You've got to have Stolas to make that Asmodus crystal work otherwise its useless, Bella please let me come with you I need to save him" said Blitzo as Bella got dressed to set out "Stolas means everything to me!" Yelled Blitzo "You know something you're acting like a smiling little cry-baby" she said putting her pilots hat on "Maybe your right I should have protected Stolas but instead I was stupid and angery but let me come with you and I swear I will protect him this time" he said as Chaz peeked grinning "Blitzo loves stolas" he teased "Be quiet you cheek" said Bella as Chaz ran off as the fox looked straight at Blitzo studying his eyes "Humm I guess you can be useful in getting Stolas to cooperate *Steps up* you might never come back here again Blitzo!" Said Bella "I know" he said with a resolute tone "Ready for what might happen?" Asked Bella as Blitzo nodded as Bella took out her sword and cut Blitzo free "We leave here in one minute" she said as Blitzo ran forward and got his aviator goggles as he opened the gate to free his pidgins as he peeked in "May you guys be good" he said

Striker got the air ships ready as he cranked up his powering it up as the others loaded onto there air runners as Blitzo ran up to Bellas air runner "Here fasten this *Pulls a seatbelt* lets randevuous at the Tiger moth" she commanded as Blitzo buckled in as Izuku gave the signal as the gliders took off into the air and set on course to save Stolas

At the Goliath approached the military bunker ready to land as Grayback and Andrephelus watched "What a surprb ship" the hellhound complemented "Andrephelus has the boy surrendered the information?" He asked "It will take a little more time" "More time?" Well you'll have plenty of that aboard the Goliath we set out with him at first light" said Greyback as the ship docked.

Back with the pirates as they flew over the town in the dark of night to there destination at great speed and practice "Hurry we have to get there before sun-up!" Yelled Bella as the plans flew faster as Blitzo had a look of determination to save Stolas "Stolas" he whispered

As with the owl he was back in his room still in the gown as he looked at the stary night sky out his window, freedom a illusion to him as he looked at the horizon as he remembered a time when he was a little kid as his tears echoed in his mind as it flashes back to that time when things were smaller and safer as he walked through the grasses as it changed to the inside of a cottage as a kind imp comforted the little owlet "Well well now what shall we do?" The imp said as Stolas cries "Stolas maybe grandfather Sebastian should teach you a spell, your father knew it and trusted me to pass it to you when you were old enough *Gently pats Stolas head* one that will help you when you're in trouble" he said as Stolas tears slowed "A spell?" He asked curious "Yes dear little one a ancient secret spell only your family can use and was passed to me for in case of your fathers early passing, "Lite latuperito ulus…areoles ball neetoril" he said as Stolas was in awe "Lite a" he started as Sebastian comforted him "The words mean "Save me" "Save me and revive the eternal light" so "Lite latuperito ulus Aeolus balo Neetoril" Sebastians words echoed as the flashback ends as Stolas recalls those lessons ages ago as he whispered such words on his beak.

"Lite Latuperito ulus aerolus balo neetoril" he spoke wishing for someone to save him from this prison as in response his asmodus crystal glowed a dark pink light in response as Stolas gasped in surprise as energy seems to flow out as Stolas was shocked at the energy as a invisible wind seems to blow as the energy is freed. As it changes to the basement bellow as the robot once lifeless…seems to activate as if responding to a call.

However such flux of power wouldn't be unknown to everyone as Andre and his assistant checked in and saw the flux of power from Stolas crystal as the peacock grinned "I knew it" he said stepping closing the door…as back with the robot its fingers flinched and moved having am mission to protect "Its the sacred light, the ancient documents were true! Its not just a legend" Said Andre as Stolas held the crystal in shock and worry "What are you talking about?" Asked Stolas as Andrephelus tried to touch the crystal but was repelled back shocking Stolas "Tell me the spell, what are the secret words?" Demanded Andrephelus as back with the robot as if sensing Stolas worries got up using its good arm and foot but stumbled making a noise which alerted the guards "Did you hear that?" Asked one "Yeah" said another as they went to peek to see what was wrong with the robot, but when they opened it they were shocked to see the robot moving! As the two were shocked as the robot decided to walk on all fours seeing it as a efficient way as the guards reported it on a phone "I am telling you! This thing is alive!" Said the guard on the phone In a panic as the robot studied the door and with a precise laser made a opening avoiding the guards as they fled as it exploded which was heard by Andrephelus and Stolas as the ice peacock held Stolas wrist as the stone stopped glowing.

The robot unaffected by the flames just kept going as many guards panicked fleeing from the flames and robot yelling how its alive as the robot got on two legs looking for someone, the one who casted the spell to bring it to life as more guards gathered giving the order to sound the alarm to warn the others the robot didnt care and just continued on its mission. Back with Andrephelus he got word from his assistant "What is going on?" "Sir its the robot" his assistant said as he dragged Stolas out much to his protest as they got to a bridge seeing the flames and the panic the robot is causing as it climbs up the stairs "Its coming towards us!" Said Andrephelus in shock as the guards used guns and machine guns to fire to stop the robot but it failed to work "Shut the fire door hurry!" Yelled a guard as a metal guard door covered the hole in hopes to block the robot, but instead it fired a laser that seem to build up a lot of power as the guards fled before it exploded into metal slag as Andrephelus grinned greedily "The power!" He said as the robot, not phased at all stepped through the slagged metal on a mission as Andrephelus realized the robots purpose "Yes I understand! *Looks at Stolas and dragged him close as he studied the still glowing crystal* its your crystal! The force of the sacred light had brought the robot back to life! The way to Laputa has been opened!" He said as he tried to drag stolas but the owl held onto the edge and refused anymore to go with him "LET ME GO!" He yelled as the robot seeing Stolas in trouble responded firing a thinner laser that just cut the bridge in half forcing Andrephelus to let Stolas go as the bridge fell due to being seperate pieces as Andre and his assistant ran through the door as there half nearly fell as Stolas hurried back to the doorway.

The robot as if sensing Stolas distress held there arms out as a odd pink-purple membrane formed in the gaps on its arms as it seemed to activate a jetpack "Its going to fly!" Yelled Andre and flew it did as it clumblsy flew up as it tried to get to Andre but he and his assistant were pulled through the doorway as it hit the stone under the doorway missing them as they fled as Stolas watched in fear as he fled as the robot as if sensing him flew to his side crashing as Stolas braced worried as the membrane was absorbed back as it crawled to get to Stolas reaching out to touch him but the owl fled up a set of stairs as guided by the light of the crystal hurried up the stairs and up on the roof top as once up there as if exposed to the sky of the world the crystal burst in a powerful light before it focused onto a pin point light into the night sky as Stolas was in awe "Laputa" he whispered however he wants the only one who saw the light of the crystal but also Andrephelus as he ran out of a balcony as he grinned seeing the light. "Finally I now know the way to Laputa *Comanding his minions who got a transmuter* hurry! No time to waste!" He ordered as inside the Goliath it was pandemonium as Greyback was giving orders.

"What do you mean robot? I want to know whos trying to blow up my fortress!" He commanded but it goes outside as a hand cut the wires connected to the communication relay confusing the hellhound "Are you there? Somebody answer me now!" He demanded as it then shows and reveals it was Andres minions doing the deed to connect to the ship "Were ready" said one "Your connected now" said the other minion to Andrephelus as he called on the phone "This is Colonel Andrephelus we have an emergency you'll take your orders from me now" he said as back with stolas he herd a explosion as the tower stones seem to get unstable as the gun turrets seem to move to a target as the reason for the unstableness was the robot who followed Stolas as the poor owl panicked as a few soldiers were loading up a powerful missile to fire at the robot as it took aim at the robot as it stood up on two legs over looking a scared Stolas.

However the robot just placed a hand to its chest as if assuring he means no harm as to Stolas surprise a beam of light connected onto the crest on the robot as if making a connection as gently the robot held a hand to the owl…but in that moment the military fired the missile striking the robot as the force caused Stolas to hit the stone wall as his necklace fell off his neck still glowing as the robot fell as if taking a final breath as the guards all gathered around "Lets get up there now!" Yelled one as the guards one by one climbed up the ruined stars to get to Stolas and the downed robot as they cheered seeing the robot was down thanks to the missile strike and then hurried to get the unconcus Stolas wondering if he was dead, but after one picked him up by his neck hearing him moan…they saw the poor owl fainted. However it was short lived as the robot was still working as the guards panicked and fled as it fired a weak laser to get them all to leave as the guards nearly fell off the tower as the robots laser destroyed a wall of the fortress as it continued its attack as it carried Stolas in his functioning hand to protect him as he destroyed currents and everything as it was pandemonium as the Goliath took off as the sun rises from the carnage,

But with the good pirates they were on there way as they took higher to the sky as Blitzo gasped seeing the glowing fire of the fortress as it was on fire "Must be some kind of war going on!" Yelled Bella as it looked like that "take her down Bella" commended Blitzo "Call me captain!" Yelled Bella as she dove down as her boys followed in a row down the path "Just keep your head down Striker!" Yelled Bella as the heros hurried to the fortress as back in the pandemonium Stolas in the robots hand woke up as he saw the burning carnage and destruction as he gasped in shock at what the robot had done and the guilt he felt for using his spell to activate the robot as he looked at the robot on the attack "Stop it what are you doing you are destroying everything! Please stop!" Yelled Stolas as he climbed up hugging the robots head trying to get it to stop as it accidently fired down a row through the fields and into a town as a building was destroyed as the pirates passed through as they got close to the fortress "Captain Mother the Golith is moving! Goliath is moving!" Said Chaz as the air ship was moving up into the air, and was aiming its turrents to fire at the robot to put a end to it "If we stay on this wedding we'll be in the line of fire! Change course" said Bella but Blitzo saw something "Look there he is its Stolas!" Yelled Blitzo seeing the owl "What?" Yelled Bella as in the inferno of the burning fortress Blitzo saw him easily

"Where you see him?" Asked Bella "Steady as he gos captain *Pulls his goggles up* he's on top of that tower!" Yelled Bltizo seeing Stolas white nightgown as a beacon as Stolas held close the robots head to stop it from attacking…as with his non handed arm touched the owl in a protective way as the Goliath was reaching able it. "One for all and all for mom, cover me!" Commended Bella as as sped up as her boys spread out as Bella and Blitzo flew a more secretive way to get close to the tower to save Stolas as they got Close Blitzo holding tight on his buckle leaned out reaching his hand out "STOLAS!" He yelled as Stolas looked up and gasped seeing Blitzo "My hand take it!" Yelled Blitzo "Blitzo!" Yelled Stolas "We got to get in a little more closer Bella" said Blitzo as they got close but the wings snagged nearly falling "Blitzo!" Yelled Stolas as he tried to jump off the robot but it grabbed him fast, his protection the main priority as the owl struggled to get out "But there there to help me! Please put me down!" He yelled as the robot obeyed putting Stolas on the ledge as Stolas looked at the robot as it placed a hand to his heart.

The robot was a guardian of the royal line of Laputa and will do anything to make sure the heir was safe.

However with that the Goliath fired its turrents at the robot as it struck his core as it sparked with fire as the assault continued as the air runner flew up "Stolas!" Yelled Blitzo as the two nearly fell out but didnt thanks to there buckles but a brick struck Bellas goggles as she was knocked out "Bella!" Yelled Blitzo as the runner fell as Stolas got worried "No there falling!" Yelled Stolas however the robot while sparkling held a hand out as Stolas saw it was dying "No *Gently pushes its fingers down* Help!" He yelled as Blitzo even as they fell squeezed pass Bella and took the controls though it was a bit of a struggle he managed to get it straight and flying before it crashed into the water as he flew to the fortress "Ah come on Bella!" He yelled but the fox got up and smirking and a hand on the imps head managed to do a climb as she flew over the fortress "Its now or never Blitzo I'll take us in and you grab him" said Bella "Right!" Said Blitzo as Stolas saw the two as he yelled "Over here!" He yelled

"Okay captain!" Said Blitzo as he leaned down using his tail and hoofs to hold onto the grip rails ready to upside down grab Stolas as Andrephelus and the soldiers ran out of a secret exit "What are you doing fools? Dont let him escape!" He yelled as Blitzo yelled at Stolas to jump as the owl did and was grabbed by Blitzo as he held him close as Bella flew off with the two as Andre got annoyed "An entire army and they're getting away!" He said as the guards and his men looked up and saw Bellas pirates using colorful smoke around the Goliath to annoy and distract them as Andres eyes narrowed "Its not over" he said as the pirates regrouped with the captain and Blitzo and Stolas as they flew off into the horizon

Back at the destroyed Base Greyback and his men ran up to Andrephelus "Andrephelus! Andrephelus! What on earth happened to the robot?" The hellhound demanded but the ice peacock smirked "We destroyed it and the owl is gone" he said casually "What? *Groans annoyed seeing the colored smoke* oh! Look at this this is a disaster!" Said Greyback as he barked orders annoyed and royally pissed as Andrephelus assistant walked over as the hellhound general barked orders to get the fire put out "We may have found what we've been looking for Colonel" he said as Andre walked off following his minion as to some debree Andrephelus saw Stolas crystal but was careful first quick testing to see it was active, seeing it was not he picked it up as it was glowing "It still possesses its sacred light *the beam then shoots out as he grinned darkly* pointing to Laputa *Looks at his men* you can now go tell the general for me we will be departing on time" he said as the camera goes to the smoking remains of the robot who gave its life to protect the last heir of Laputa.

Authors note: well things are progressing and Stolas used a spell from his crystal that brought a robot from Laputa to life to protect him, though while saved it dosent mean Andrephelus evil deeds are over.

Next chapter Blitzo and Stolas stays and train a bit with the Bella pirates as they follow the light to Laputa as the imp and owl bond together.
