SCHOOL

"Students, please settle down and take your seats," the teacher's voice resonated in the classroom, cutting through the noise. Instantly, the room fell into respectful silence, the excitement in the air almost tangible. "I would like you all to welcome our two new stars today," the teacher announced, a warm smile brightening her face.

Two boys, both 16, entered the classroom. Their brown hair shone under the fluorescent lights, and their blue eyes sparkled with curiosity. They wore the crisp uniforms of Domino High, highlighting their youth and eagerness to fit in.

"Boys, can you introduce yourselves?" the teacher asked, her tone encouraging.

"Hi," Chris began, his voice barely above a whisper, "I'm Chris. I mostly enjoy reading and riding my bike." His shyness was apparent, but there was a sweetness to his demeanor.

"Thank you, Chris. And you, Leo? Would you like to share something about yourself?" the teacher prompted, turning her gaze to the other boy.

"NO!" Leo exclaimed, his voice loud and unapologetic, causing a ripple of giggles to spread through the classroom, especially from the girls who were charmed by his boldness.

"Okay, Chris, take a seat next to Christine," the teacher directed, gesturing toward a desk where a girl with long, flowing brown hair sat. Her piercing blue eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and defiance.

"Leo, you can sit next to Ava," she continued, pointing to another girl with cascading black hair and bright purple eyes, whose cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"Hi, I'm Chris. Nice to meet you," Chris said, offering Christine a warm smile, his shyness easing slightly in her presence.

"Christine," she replied curtly, quickly redirecting her attention to the teacher, her spark of intrigue fading. Leo took his seat next to Ava, maintaining an air of aloofness while she blushed, captivated by his presence.

Christine's Home With Ava

"What? You cannot be serious!" Christine exclaimed, disbelief lacing her voice as she sifted through stacks of newspapers in search of job opportunities. Papers crumpled beneath her fingers, but her determination to find the right position remained steadfast.

"You do not understand! My heart races whenever I see him!" Ava gushed, clutching a fluffy pillow to her chest as she erupted into laughter, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Christine frowned, frustration creasing her brow as she lifted her gaze from the pile of job applications. "Ava, honestly, I do not like him," she countered firmly, flipping through the papers.

Ava sat up straight, her expression earnest, vibrant eyes wide with passion. "Christine, I know what you think, but I genuinely like him," she insisted, her conviction unwavering.

Christine fell silent, recognizing the futility of her efforts. She understood that Ava was deeply infatuated, and no amount of logical reasoning could change her heart. Still, a part of her felt a strong urge to protect her friend, to show her that Leo was untrustworthy and not the right choice for her. But for now, she chose to keep her concerns to herself, determined to prove her point about Leo in the near future.
