Chapter 2:

Fred was still thinking about that redheaded woman he saw on the other side of that fence. "I'm tellin' ya, Barn, I can't keep her out of my head," says Fred.

"I noticed," says Barney, "you're making a lot of sculptures of her!"

"And I'm not even an artist," says Fred, "that says how serious this is!"

"Maybe your parents can give you some advice," says Barney.

...

Fred talks to his parents, Ed and Edna Flintstone. "Well, sounds like you're in love," says Edna.

"I remember when I met your mother," says Ed.

"He hit me with a club," says Edna, "it was so romantic!"

"You got a club, right," asks Ed.

"Yeah, but… I get so nervous," says Fred, "I've never been good around woman!"

"You're a Flintstone," says Ed, "you got that magnetic charm!"

"What' magnetic," asks Fred.

"No idea," says Ed, "but I like the way it sounds!"

"I'm sure you'll do great," says Edna.

...

"Mother, I'm just not sure William's the one for me," says Wilma, "he won't even hit me with a club!"

"That's for the lower class," says Wilma's Mother, "not for us! He's a perfect match, trust me!"

...

Wilma then sees William being rude to this woman. "Your kind are meant to be beneath us," says William, "and another thing…"

"That is it," says Wilma, "we are through!"

"But…"

Wilma takes the woman's hand and walks away. "Thanks."

"I'm Wilma."

"I'm Betty, Betty McBricker."
