Soon enough, day had become afternoon, the sky now a mixture of soft red and orange colours. Thomas and Lady were back at the grotto with Burnett, Scooby, and Braedey. Everyone else was happy to see they were alright and have heard of Diesel 10 being derailed, much to their relief. But they were still wondering about what the second part of the clue is to help them return all the Gold-Dust and the magic.

"But Mr. Garcia, you and everyone else still don't have their Gold-Dust and magic." Thomas said in concern.

"Do not worry. I think they will soon." Lady reassured to Thomas, as she looked over to the humans.

Braedey walked about the grotto, a look of frustration on his face at how he couldn't figure out the clue. After all they've done, they're still nowhere near figuring out what to do. "We got the first part done... 'Stoke up the magic in the mountain, and the lady will smile'..." He recited.

Mr. Garcia then stopped while he stood by an old well. "Hang on one second...'Then watch the swirls that spin so well'..." He began to say.

"Wait... that's it! The swirls!" Scorcher spoke up, the others now crowding around the well. "Just like the golden shavings that we saw coming off of Lady when we were on the Magic Railroad earlier."

"Yeah, I remember that." Sheeva nodded back, Rose smiled.

"Is there anything else?" Velma asked.

"Of course. There's a 'well' in the clue, right?" Casey now said, running up to the well next to them.

"And, like, a well means there's water!" Shaggy added next, then he and Scooby pull on the crank, and reel up a bucket filled with water.

"Nice one, Shaggy." Fred nodded back.

"Now, Daphne. You place the shavings you collected in with the water." Mr. Garcia now instructed.

Daphne opened her purse, just as Velma got a bowl and collected some of the water from the bucket Shaggy and Scooby brought up. Once done so, Daphne placed the golden shavings into the water, swirling them around in the water.

"So what do we do now?" Willow now asked.

"Go ahead, Daphne." Burnett now told his niece. "Throw it up into the air."

"And let the magic do the work." Scorcher added.

Daphne looked down at the bowl in her hands. She looks on with a look of uncertainty, but she wanted to make things right and fix it, not make it worse for her new friends. She wished to make things right.

"Please! Please!" Casey pleaded towards the sky above, hoping to regain the Gold Dust.

"You can do it." Willow told Daphne, and shows a gentle smile to her.

Daphne looked at Braedey, then she looked over at both Thomas and Lady. "Now, Daphne." The two engines said in unison.

"Together." Braedey and Rose walked up and they both held the bowl together with Daphne, the redhead now nodding back to them. "On three..." Rose counted.

"One... two... three!!" Braedey, Rose, and Daphne all countered and threw the water and golden shavings up into the air. Suddenly, in a flash of golden light, an aura of golden dust now appeared above their heads!!!

"Gold Dust!!" Daphne and Rose cheered.

"Gold Dust!" Burnett smiled.

"It lives!" Scorcher yelled out happily.

"All the magic has returned..." Braedey looks in happily.

"YES!! HAHAHA!!!" Mr. Garcia cheered.

"Gold-Dust..." Casey gasped in amazement.

"It's beautiful!" Willow said in shock, looking on at the golden magic.

"Scooby-Dooby-Doo!" Scooby howled with a smile.

The Gold Dust now began to flow down to Mr. Garcia and Casey, now refilling their whistles as the group of people all celebrate and cheer for the reviving of the Gold Dust and the magic back to Sodor and the rest of the world out there.

"Lady, you're a really helpful engine." Thomas now said to Lady.

Lady smiled to the blue tank engine. "And helping others, brings the magic to life, in all of us." She now said to him.

"Thomas. Lady." Braedey and Rose walked up and he got both engine's attention, and they look to the young boy and blonde mermaid princess. "I have to say this from the bottom of my heart; you both are Responsible, Reliable, but most importantly, you are Really... Useful... Engines." He said to them.

"Thank you." Thomas thanked to him. "But it was you and your friends who helped to solve the mystery."

"And none of it all would not have been possible without you meddling kids and your amazing canine." Lady smiled softly.

"Aww, thank you." Rose made her way over to Thomas, climbed up onto his running board, and she kissed his cheek. Lady and Braedey both laughed, along with the others, as they saw Thomas' face blush bright red.

Later, the gang were together and relaxing after they and everyone else had finished celebrating the magic being returned and the Gold-Dust coming back. It was such a good thing to see all the magic returning, and all of them knowing the peace and balance of magic had been returned.

"Daphne... I think I promised you something." Casey said, then he had her open her hand, and he pours some of the Gold-Dust. "Here. Take some." He closed her hand over the golden magic.

"Thank you." Daphne smiled softly before she hugs him back for everything.

"Like, this has definitely been one adventure for the books." Shaggy commented.

"Reah." Scooby nodded as he sat next to Shaggy.

"Definitely one to write down." Velma giggled.

Casey now walked up to Mr. Garcia, showing a little smile. "Well, cousin, it's been fun while it last. But I think I'm gonna stay for a little while." He said

"You mean, you're not going back to the beach?" Mr. Garcia now questioned.

"No. Not right now." Casey answered back. "But maybe, for a holiday. Besides, I have been thinking about going to Australia. I hear there's some railways to ride on, and I can take the way." He goes to get his whistle.

"No." Mr. Garcia quickly stopped him, then he revealed an official conductor's hat. "This is the way."

Casey was amazed by this. He did not expect to even get this kind of privilege and new position. He takes the hat and looks at the golden badge of 'Conductor' on the hat, then he placed the hat on his head. He hadn't felt this happy in a long time. He saluted to Mr. Garcia, next waved goodbye to the gang, then with a deep train whistle sound from his whistle as he does a spinning move, he disappears in a glitter of Gold-Dust.

"Something tells me that we're definitely going to see him every now and then." Velma commented.

"I think so, too." Fred acknowledged.

"Reah." Scooby nodded back.

Just then, two bellflowers began to ring out, now getting their attention. Rose goes over and picks up the bellflowers, then hands them to Braedey so he can answer them. "Hello?" He acknowledges the call. "Oh. Sir Topham Hatt, sir. You're on your way back right now thanks to Edward. Splendid news. Oh, yes, sir. Everything is under control. Yeah, Mr. Garcia will be at Knapford Station to welcome you. Goodbye, sir." Then, he puts the flowers back.

"Was that Sir Topham?" Fred inquired.

"Yeah. Edward has gone to pick them up, and they are hoping to see you at Knapford, Mr. Garcia." Braedey said to them.

"I see." Mr. Garcia now goes and stands up. "Well, you all take care now."

"We will, sir." Rose acknowledged back. She then saw Braedey now be given a whistle, shaped like Lady's whistle, on a golden necklace. "What's this for?"

"This is a 'thank-you' for everything." Mr. Garcia shook hands with Braedey. "The Gold-Dust will help you get around, and will help in any situation."

"Thank you, sir." Braedey saluted to him, and Mr. Garcia gives a salute before he blows his whistle before he disappears in a glitter of Gold-Dust.

"So now, you can travel to Sodor whenever you want to." Willow said to Braedey.

"Yeah. That's pretty cool." Braedey chuckled.

"Like, just don't go overboard with it." Shaggy advised, Scooby and Rose laughing at this.

"Grandpa. I'd like you to have this." Daphne now reveals the Gold-Dust in her hand.

"Well, how sweet of you, Daphne." Burnett smiles softly as he saw the golden dust.

"Scooby." Daphne asked over the Great Dane, then she removed his dog collar, holding the collar in hand.

Burnett seemed to acknowledge this, as he and Daphne gently pour the golden dust into the collar, it now glowing a faint golden glow, the rest of the gang all together around the two.

"This is nice." Fred commented.

"I cannot imagine this would be the way to bring us all together." Velma added. "But this is very sweet."

"From now on, we'll all have a shining time together." Burnett said to everyone as they held the collar together, and the collar glows in a rainbow colour.

Braedey smiled at this, then turned to both Thomas and Lady. "I think it's time we go to the sheds and finally introduce the engines to Lady." He suggested.

"Yes. I agree." Thomas acknowledged. "Climb aboard. Let's do so."

The gang, Scorcher and his family, even Burnett, all agree to the idea. They all get onboard the two engines and began to make their trek along the tracks to the sheds.

After some time, Thomas and Lady eventually arrive at Tidmouth Sheds, just as the sun had finally gone down, the lights around the sheds and yards illuminating the area. As they arrive, the gang and family could see Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, and Toby at the sheds in their berths.

"Thomas, where have you been?" Gordon questioned.

"Henry told us and the others about you running about the tracks with Diesel 10 chasing you." Percy added in.

"It's alright, everyone." Braedey climbs out of Thomas' cab with the others doing so as well. "Diesel 10 has been dealt with, and all the magic has been restored."

James now took notice of the tank engine alongside Thomas. "Thomas, who is-" He stopped as his eyes widened. "Wait..."

Henry now looks along with Gordon and the others, and they were in shock and amazement. "Is that...?" Henry began.

"But how?" Gordon gasped out.

"Everyone. I'd like you all to meet Lady the Magical Engine." Thomas announced to everyone.

Everyone could only look on in stunned awe and amazement upon hearing this announcement from Thomas. Percy now began to blow his whistle, Toby ringing his bell, then James, Henry, and Gordon also began to blow their whistles, with Thomas doing so last, and finally, Lady blows her whistle long and loud, her whistle echoing across the whole of the railway.

Sure enough, life seemed to have returned to Sodor. Once Sir Topham Hatt had arrived back, Thomas and Mr. Garcia both explained about what had happened during tall the time The Fat Controller had been away, and sir Topham Hatt was very surprised by what he was told.

Once hearing the Big Dipper viaduct being damaged, Sir Topham Hatt got to work with a reconstruction effort to get it fixed and repaired as soon as possible. But he was also told about what Diesel 10 and his lackeys had done, so The Fat Controller swiftly sent the three diesels away back to the mainland, even having Diesel 10 be stripped of his claw. As for Lady, once he heard about her story and everything else, Sir Topham welcomed her and Burnett Stone back to the railway, and have also made her officially part of the North Western Railway, Lady thanking him very much.

Braedey, Scooby, and Rose also spoke up on the behalf of the gang to explain about their role during this whole situation, and Sir Topham Hatt thanked them very much for their support and action. The gang also opted to enjoy the rest of their little holiday on Sodor, much to Braedey and Rose's surprise. They smiled at this and they go ahead and began to enjoy their time on the NWR, spending time around the different engines and learning about one another. Scorcher and his family also got the chance to meet up with the engines and got to learn from them as well, with Mr. Garcia even bringing his daughter Andrea to see Sodor for herself, everyone all having a spectacular time on the railway.

About a day or so since everything had gotten back to a normal routine for those on Sodor. The Mystery, Inc. gang had all been enjoying themselves immensely during their time on the railway, especially when they talked about their adventures with the engines and vice versa. They had just stopped nearby the railway line, all of them gathered up. Scorcher and his family had been given some help to get back home thanks to Mr. Garcia, who thanked them for all their help.

"Have to say, this was really worth it for an adventure." Braedey commented with a smile on his face.

"Absolutely." Rose nodded back in agreement.

"I'm just glad that you two and Scooby were not hurt." Willow said with a soft smile.

"And now, like, we can come back to this railway at any time we want to." Shaggy added in, he and Scooby both looking over to the railway tracks to see any trains go by. "I admit, this place is very nice."

"I cannot argue with that, Shaggy." Daphne agreed.

"I am still lost and confused by the whole thing about how the engines here are even alive." Velma wondered.

"One word, Velma: magic." Fred replied with a chuckle, Scooby and Shaggy laughing in response, Daphne also giggling out at Fred's response.

Braedey now stood up as he stood before his family. "Well, I think we should be in our way home. I know that being here is a childhood dream, but we do have to go back home." He said to them. "We can come back here for another visit, maybe when no trouble arises."

"I agree." Willow answered.

"Yeah. Let's do that." Rose acknowledged, gently hugging Braedey.

The gang all acknowledged this idea and consider it a good idea. They have a way to get to Sodor, and they know it'll be there. They then heard the whistling of two approaching engines. They look over to see both Thomas and Lady puffing along. They whistle again to the gang, with Scooby and the gang waving back to them, Burnett and Mr. Garcia onboard both engines in their cabs, the two waving back. Braedey now holds the golden whistle, the gang all huddled together as he blew the whistle, the Scooby-Doo gang disappearing in a flash and glitter of Gold-Dust, heading off for home.

'We have come to the end of our story.

Now, it's time for all of us to go home...

Just like Lady and Thomas...'

~The End~

A/N: here we go. The end of 'Scooby-Doo & The Magic Railroad'. This story was one for my nostalgia and my own personal enjoyment, along with 'Scooby-Doo' and 'Thomas & Friends'.

This story is also something I wanted to do, in memory of the great creator herself who had brought Thomas and his friends to television, Britt Allcroft, who passed away sadly on Christmas Day in 2024. May she have dry rails and smooth runnings on her journey to Heaven.

Hope you all have enjoyed this story, and if you do, please leave your favourite moment in the comment section below.
