'Flashback memories'
The time the two picked for their outing was nine in the morning.
Perfect timing before the weather decided to be wishy washy. Sasuke had picked Hinata up, and the two went to the hiking trail she had told Sasuke about. It was about 30 minutes from town, where the dust and gravel didn't follow them.
For it to be a hiking trail, it reminded Sasuke more of a rain forest. One turned to hiking for the locals. Where they can spend time with nature and explore it's life. Even Sasuke was amazed by this spot.
Kapok trees, these things had to be about 200 feet high. Sasuke was an ant in comparison to these trees. A variety of animals lived on that tree, and Sasuke could tell this tree was almost like a parent to them. Providing them with so many nutrients and protection. The forest was littered with Kapok trees, banana trees and so much more.
Looking back in history. On earth, there were certain periods in time when animals were Jurassic. During the active time of humanity being the top of the food chain, there weren't any gigantic animals. In the era they lived in, thanks once again to scientist and government agencies, the time of large animals have returned.
Somehow humans still remained top of the food chain. Especially Alpha's. They could easily take down a massive elephant, or the meanest lion that was the size of SUV hover. Alpha's were so dominating across the solar system, other animals immediately were submissive to them. Or faced the consequences.
Still, seeing these huge animals just walking within the hiking trail was aweing. Sasuke couldn't help but stare at a beautiful white elephant, with lavender colored eyes walk by them. It was the size of a two story home. It's ivory tusks were curved and massive. He's honestly in his lifetime never seen one this up close. How quiet, yet loud the creature was.
Sasuke looked over at Hinata when he heard a light weighted sound come from her, and concluded she was giggling at him. At his mesmerized face for the scene. He was impressed. Nature preserves were a different law enforcement section, so he never ventured out here.
There were some people hiking this trail as well, but not a lot. Sasuke and Hinata still had privacy and room to spread out from one another. Which they did in the beginning, but always ended up shoulder to shoulder again. Then they'd catch themselves, and repeat the avoidance.
Sasuke watched as Hinata played with the collar of her clothing. Like she was trying to get the cool breeze inside, to cool herself off. Instead of just removing the heavy extra layers. "You didn't dress for a hike."
He was wearing a hoodie, but shorts as well. The black shorts stopping at his knees and his black hoodie was a thin material. He even wore sneakers. Which is something anyone would wear while hiking. Everyone around them was dressed for the occasion. "I always wear this while hiking Sasuke."
He just shook his head. This woman was in fact hiding something. There was no way she was this weird. "Are your eyes sensitive our something? There is no dust or sand around here."
Both were taking moderate deep breaths. Working a light sweat. They were an arm's length from one another. Hinata looked at Sasuke with a small smile as she breathed out her mouth. "Okay." He had her there. She took her goggles and settled them on top of her head. She also pulled her face covering down to expose more of herself to him. Wiping her face, she spared Sasuke a look before quickly looking away.
Oh, she was a blusher.
He saw her eyes though. They were the same, but different than the rest of her family's. Her eyes still had that pale, icy look. Like the coldest glaciers he's ever seen, but at the same time a lavender luminous wave sealed within. He barely saw that lavender, but he knew if he got closer to her, he'd see it perfectly.
The uniqueness about the Hyuga family were their eyes. They lacked pupils and some either found it angelic, or demonic. Like they were lifeless. A lot of Hyuga's, when he was growing up, could handle the ridicule of their eyes. They were very combative and dominant people. Sasuke could see this wasn't the case with her, she found embarrassment with her eyes.
"Hn. You look fine. Sweaty, but fine." Her face turned another shade of red and Sasuke wondered just how embarrassed this woman could get. "Why don't yo-"
"I umm. I'm comfortable like this Sasuke. So, will you be retiring here on Mercury?" Sasuke let the conversation he started drop. Sensing it made her feel uncomfortable. Again, he didn't know why he did this. He didn't know why he was babying her and letting her control the situation and interactions. Especially when she was coming off as a sneak.
"No. Everyone gets a tour on different planets. Saturn being the end point. My tour here ends in another year. So, then I'll get my next assignment." Hinata looked at him and saw that they had gravitated to one another again. "You don't sound enthused about it. Is law enforcement not your passion?"
He didn't make an expression to the question. Sasuke just kept walking and looking up the trail. "The Uchiha family handles all of the criminal justice in our galaxy. Law and order. Everything judicial. All the way down to prisons and courts. There are other things I can do other than being a law enforcement officer."
The two walked until they came across an entrance deeper into the trees. Leading to a watering hole. Hinata smiled at the scene, meanwhile Sasuke smiled at her. How she finally looked happy. Her aura like this, it made him happy. "Why don't you do something different then, Sasuke?"
She looked from the side and her smile only widened. Having caught him staring at her. Last night, when Sasuke pointed out that she always accepted his advancements. He wasn't wrong. Just like now. She was engaging in the conversations. She gave into the subtle hints that he wanted to see more of her face. That he wanted her closer to him.
Meanwhile all the bells and whistles in her head were screaming for her to run away. To push him away. To not give in to the hot urges.
Gosh please. Don't give in.
It would end in disaster. He would use her. Lock her away to only cater to his needs and just live a life baring his children. An empty, loveless life. Right now, Sasuke only behaved this way with her because he didn't KNOW what she was.
Hinata was even finding this hard to believe lately.
Since getting in Sasuke's personal hover, Hinata was already coated in a light sweat. So, him pointing it out now, was something Hinata had been experiencing since the beginning. She had added an extra pile of her ointment and timed her serum just right for today. So she was fully prepared for the day. Yet she wasn't.
She was so hot.
Hinata couldn't get cool. She couldn't keep much eye contact with Sasuke either. She wasn't really one to make eye contact, but just looking at him. It made her blood boil with that urge. That urge to expose herself to him and be coddled. For him to smell her. To bite her right on her glands and tell her that she's his. Tostopthis resistance.
This was so hard.
"Do you need some water."
Blinking back to her current situation. Hinata looked at Sasuke as he offered her an unopened bottle of water. "Your face is red." She nodded her head at his statement and accepted the refreshment. "I'm sorry if I missed your answer, Sasuke. Why will you not change and do something else in the criminal justice system?"
Sasuke watched her closely. Just so she won't pass out on him. He didn't need that on his day off. "There is no reason to settle down now. When that time comes, I'll switch over." He walked over to a giant taro plant and it's leaves were about five feet long. He straddled the large plant and leaned on the oversized leaf. Using both hands he shook the leaf to Hinata's direction. Giving her a nice breeze. That, while drinking her water, it was the cooling feeling she so desperately needed.
Oh gosh. He was taking care of her.
Sasuke grinned as Hinata's stray hair from under her balaclava blew in her face and Hinata laughed as she adjusted the head covering to expose her whole face. Pulling it behind her ears, yet her hair was still hidden under the material.
Satisfied that she was going to be okay, and they had a bit of fun with each other. Sasuke sat down on the ground near the water and looked at Hinata to sit down with him. He didn't want her to over exert herself. She was overdressed and they've been hiking for over an hour.
Hinata didn't argue. She has a love and hate relationship on how she listens to him now, but she felt like she could sense his worry for her. From what she could see, Sasuke wasn't the type to voice his emotions. So, if he was feeling concern over her, he wasn't going to say anything. She felt it though, and she felt the urge to calm his nerves.
She sat down beside him and the two were comfortable with the silence. Looking at the water and the nature around it. Randomly, Sasuke leaned over and his large hand gripped Hinata's thigh. He molded the fabric and Hinata immediately recoiled from the touch. He was EXTREMELY close to a sensitive gland. "D-D-Don't do that, please! You d-did n-not get p-permission!"
"Your actual thigh is about three layers under your clothing. No wonder you're burning up." Sasuke ignored her sputtering and focused on her leg. Why was she wearing so much clothing? This was like a sauna suit. "How are you so tiny, but were able to fight that Alpha and Beta for so long?"
"I-I-"
"Take a deep breath. Calm down. I wasn't trying to feel you up. I was curious on how many layers you were wearing." He finally looked up and made eye contact with Hinata. Slightly tilting his head as he looked at her. His protective energy overflowing out his pours and onto Hinata, making her feel at ease. Just like that. "Okay? Do you trust me?"
Hinata did take a deep breath. Taking in his smell, and thus burning herself alive. He smelled like ambers. It made things so much more complicated. Even though inside her head, bells and alarms were going off, she still nodded her head at him. "Yes. I do."
This time Sasuke had a confused face. Why? Why does she trust him? They didn't even know each other to that point of 'trust'. It felt like it though. It felt like he could trust her and she could trust him. "Did your father train you a lot when you were young? To fight?"
Hinata nodded her head and was thankful Sasuke decided to change the subject. "Yes. I've practiced in almost all martial arts training. Some archery training, and even shooting on the professional level."
Sasuke arched his eyebrow at this. He was the best shooter in his academy class and a perfect sharp shooter two years in a row for the department. He'd have to take her out to the range to see what she could do.
This woman was fascinating. Upon first meeting her, he thought she was nothing but a tree hugger. An annoyance that would get herself killed out here. Finding out that she could hold her own, was smart, and witty. It amused him. It made him excited and made him want to know more and more about her.
Again, this is something out of Sasuke's comfort zone to say vocally. Yet, Hinata could sense it.
It made her feel wanted.
"Even if you are a Beta. I don't see your father just leaving you alone and unmarried." Hinata smiled at the statement, but it was no joy on her face. Aww yes. The bitter emotions she felt about the Alpha and Omega world came crashing down on her again. "My family wants me to wed. I don't want to. I asked for time. So, they are giving me some time. I'm hoping if I show my success here, they'll make it permanent."
She swallowed a lump and frowned as she looked at the water. She could see little splashes from the fish residing within. Dragonfly's buzzing about the water, teasing the fish and frogs that wanted them. This was beautiful. "If you like views like this so much. Then I am sure you miss Saturn. I haven't been to them, but I know Saturn has areas like this. More than Mercury."
Even though her sights were focused on the water, Sasuke was still openly staring at her. He felt like she didn't really like to be here on Mercury. She was almost like him, here because they had to be here. Sasuke was getting the hell out of here when his time was up though. He enjoyed quiet, but he missed home. Plus, Itachi would be leaving the same time as him. It was no reason for Sasuke to stay here.
For Hinata, he felt like she was running from something though. "What's your issue with Alpha's and Omega's anyways?"
Hinata hugged her hiking backpack and bent her knees as she kept her eyes away from Sasuke's. "Omega's are nothing more than a breeding mill for Alpha's. The way Omega's are supposed to submit. Lose themselves and their identities to Alpha's. It takes away their freedom, their life, and Omega's accept it. They accept losing their life and living the life an Alpha wants."
Sasuke was silent, but he wanted to roll his eyes and look at her like she just said the dumbest thing ever. That he was slightly offended that she thought Alpha's were so fucking senseless and insensitive. He didn't have to voice his thoughts, for some reason he knew she could sense them.
Reason why he knew, she was almost pouting right now. "So, you think the life of a Beta is better because you don't have the wave of emotions an Omega feels when they meet the right Alpha? You do understand Omega's aren't in heat towards any Alpha that crosses their path? My sister in law met me first, but my brother Itachi was who she gravitated to."
Hinata shook her head and only hugged her backpack closer to her burning chest. "How did it make you feel? As an Alpha? Did you get aggressive? Did you and your brother fight?"
Finally Sasuke did roll his eyes. "No. He's my brother, and she had no interest in me. Believe it or not. I had no interest in her. We never had a connection. Alpha's that you hear about having no shame and going after any female that walks by. Like the Alpha from a few weeks ago. Those are Alpha's that aren't connected to a family with meaning."
Hinata believed him, and at the same time she didn't want to believe him. The image for Alpha's and Omega's were already engraved in her head. He said this because he didn't KNOW she was an Omega. If he knew, he would throw all his noble words out the window and act just like those men that night. They all just want to spread their seed and dominate. "Do you feel this way about your own father and mother? Do you find your own mother weak?"
She snapped her head at Sasuke and frowned at him. Why did he always use her family as a means to prove his agenda? "M-My-"
"Your parents are Alpha and Omega's. They are part of how the world populates. Alpha and Omega's live longer. So we can have more children. I've yet to hear you down your family, just every other Alpha and Omega. What makes your family so much better?"
Hinata sat crisscrossed and puffed her cheeks out slightly. Her attention now back on the water. "My f-family j-just…we're just different Sasuke. I haven't seen an Alpha treat an Omega how my father treats my mother. How he respects and truly loves her as his equal."
Sasuke leaned over and tugged on Hinata's bag. He tugged until she let go of her coping mechanism, and looked at him. He took one of Hinata's fidgety hands and laced his hand with hers. Giving her a firm squeeze to ease her growing nerves. To get these make believe ideas out her head.
"Understand this. That is how my father and mother are. That is how my brother and his wife are. My father and mother agreed on two children. That is whattheywanted. My brother and his wife want many children. Itisequal. No one's rights were taken from them. No one is belittled because they are an Omegaoran Alpha."
"How can Alpha's and Omega's have such passion and love for one another, when they don't even have the self-control to date and get to know each other? Like Beta's. They just…" The whole beast behavior of Alpha's and Omega's made Hinata sick. They were animal's. Wolves in heat.
Sasuke's eyebrows were furrowed together, but he gave her a soft smile. She was so passionate on being right about this. She wanted to hate Omega's specifically so much. He could tell. She found them weak, and lifeless. "I don't know the answer to that one. When my brother met his wife, they mated with each other in less than 72 hours. Which sometimes, that's a long time. My father said he mated with my mother in 48 hours. Maybe it is just my family?"
He looked at her for validation. To see if her family was anything like his. Hinata soon smiled as well. The memory of her family made her beam. "No. My mother said her and my father mated in 24 hours." With her free hand, Hinata covered her face with a blush when she heard Sasuke whistle. "I know!"
"24 hours? That's the bare minimum time frame to commit to a mate. That must have meant they stayed locked up for two days straight…committing." A deep laugh escaped Sasuke as Hinata shook her head left and right. Her face covered by her hand. Him refusing to give her the other hand back. Not noticing the slimy tail start to creep out the water. Close to Hinata's ankle.
"Your father wanted two children. Your brother wants many, many children. What does Sasuke-kun want?" The way she addressed him. It made Sasuke give her a sincere smile. His tongue ran over his teeth and he shook his head. "Maybe I don't want children." Maybe he just wants her. He was tired of fighting off the urges.
She gave him the most dazzling smile before her eyes widened and her head snapped to her ankle. Sasuke followed her eyes and saw a tail wrapped around Hinata's ankle and before he knew it, she was being snatched into the water.
Everything happens for a reason, because Sasuke had her hand already and held her for dear life.
He dug his foot in the earth, and held on as he watched a large snake emerged from the water. Sasuke watched as it toward over him, it was bigger than that elephant they just saw. He looked down at Hinata and couldn't help but think this woman attracted trouble. Only she would attract anaconda's to a watering hole in the middle of a fucking hiking trail.
The giant serpent hissed at Sasuke and it had an echoing horror sound to it. Lunging at Sasuke and snatching Hinata from his grasp. Sasuke watched as the snake wrapped Hinata up in a body crushing grip, before he sprinted over to the animal. His eyes were no longer the onyx black they were earlier. Back to that dangerous ruby red and spiraling with three black, deadly dots.
His fangs elongated and at the same time, his nails turned into claws. Running on top of the serpent while he kept his eyes on Hinata. Watching as she had managed to poke her head and arm out of the deadly coils. He saw that she had a switch blade knife in her hand. She really was a survivalist.
This woman was amazing.
Hinata with all the might she had in one hand, stabbed the snake. Penetrating it's scales and getting in deep. Twisting the blade and pulling as she tore the snake open. The mighty roar the serpent let out made the area tremble. The anaconda first slammed its tail on top of the water, immediately knocking Hinata out, and drug its tail in the water and Hinata went down below. It was going to drown her.
Now on top of the snakes head, thanks to Hinata distracting the serpent, Sasuke held his hand like it was a knife and railed it straight into the snakes skull. Penetrating it's skin and bone, going all the way in past the brain. He curved his arm, and pulled up to get all the insides to come out. Ensuring the beast was dead and free falling into the water as the snake crumbled.
He dived into the water and located Hinata in the cloudy water very quickly. He could sense she was in distress. That urge to protect her. To save her. It hit him harder now, more than ever, and he had to get to her. Upon reaching her, she wasn't wrapped in the dead snakes coils anymore. She was just floating there, seemingly lifeless.
Sasuke didn't stop. He didn't freeze. He grabbed her body and swam to the surface. He didn't stop, and when they got to the grass, he still didn't stop until he was some distance from the watering hole.
He tilted her head back and proceeded to do CPR. Pumping her chest, and hearing her rib cage crack as he rushed to save her. Pinching her nose, pumping air into her and repeating the repetitions for 20 more seconds before Hinata spit out about an eight ounce amount of water and rolled over to get a breath of air.
Relief washed over Sasuke and he rested on his knees as he watched Hinata phase in and out of consciousness. "I'm gonna take you to the hospital. Let's-"
"No!Take me…to my home…PLEASE." He looked at her with wide eyes and completely thrown off from her reply. She reached for him and gripped his arm and it was like the two could silently communicate with one another. This is what she really wanted, and he was going to do it.
An Alpha at full form could move faster than a Beta and Omega. They moved with the speeds of a four legged creature. Sasuke made that hour and a half hike back to his hover in 20 minutes. Nonstop sprinting with Hinata clinging to his body as he held her.
Sasuke placed her in the hover and watched as Hinata immediately blasted his air conditioner. He didn't question her or scold her that she'd get sick. He just flew like a bat out of hell to her house. Watching as Hinata curled into herself and had fallen asleep.
When they arrived to Hinata's house, Sasuke picked her up and jiggled with Hinata's house keys until they made it inside. Locking the door behind him. "Where is your room?" He looked down at Hinata's face as he held her bridal style. Shaking her a little to wake her up. Hinata was in a daze, but pointed down the hall to the left.
Taking her there, Sasuke laid Hinata on her oversized bed and frowned because she was still soaked. Before he could voice anything, Hinata whimpered in misery as she rested her head on the pillow. "M-M-My se-rum…i-it's in t-the refrig…erator. I-I…I need it."
She was more in pain from her going into heat than the attack from the serpent. She NEEDED that serum, and she prayed that Sasuke didn't question her on the substance. That he would think it was healing medication.
She was that desperate.
"While I'm gone. I need you to take your clothes off and get yourself warm. I need to check your ribs." She shook her head at him, but recoiled when Sasuke all but snarled at her. "Hinata!"
"O-Okay." Accepting that answer from her. Sasuke left to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator and immediately noticed these syringes, with yellowish liquid in them. What in the hell were these?
"Hn. Do you go to the black market?"
"Sometimes."
He blinked rapidly as he thought about their conversation from yesterday. He picked up the syringe with the serum and twisted it open. Smelling the liquid and he immediately recoiled. What the hell was she injecting in herself?
Sasuke closed the top and looked around to see if there were any labels of what this was anywhere and couldn't find anything. All of a sudden, something just told him to take his time. Itachi would tell him to pull himself together right now and use his head.
He walked around and noticed, there were no scented plug ins. No candle wax sitting around. Sasuke searched cabinet after cabinet for air freshener and saw every scent EXCEPT vanilla, sugar or anything close to it. Why did her house smell like it then? He went back into Hinata's bedroom and saw that she was knocked out sleep. So, he took that opportunity to walk into her master bathroom.
He checked all the shelves and drawers. Looking for anything that caught his attention. She had a heavy supply of gauze, and elastic bandage in multiple drawers. She always wrapped up? Why?
Finally he saw, under the bathroom vanity, ointment. Jars and jars of ointment. He opened a half empty jar and the strong smell of vanilla sugar hit him. It was a smell that made him feel like this was a repellent or something. He felt put off by the smell. It made him not want to touch it, or be around it. Just like when he first walked into her house.
'You don't think that's odd? That her and her house smell exactly alike? That she goes to the black market.'
Her stupid ideology to Alpha's and Omega's. Her coming to this planet, the planet with the largest black market in the solar system. She planned that out. So she could get this serum. So she could be away from all the Alpha's from Saturn and the other planets. This ointment was to repel Alpha's.
Her asking to use his bathroom. She was trying to use that stupid serum. She was trying to resist him. Shewantedhim.
Sasuke walked out her bedroom and with shaky hands he walked over to Hinata's sleeping form. She had actually gotten up to place two towels on her bed so she didn't get it wet. How? When he was sure she had a few broken ribs.
'Okay. Let's ignore that night. It's just going to frustrate and confuse you even more. Let's not even talk about how you were 'magically healed'. When you met up with her today, to ask about the black market. It was starting to rain. Right? So, when you came into contact with her then. What happened?'
Did she send him out the room so she could heal herself? On top of her desperately needing the serum to push him further away.
Sasuke climbed onto the bed and shook Hinata by her shoulders, frowning at how wet her clothing was. Leaning over, near her collarbone, he smelled her. A big, giant whiff. His eyes dilating as a result.
She was avoiding the rain, that's why she got in his hover the other day. Since being in the water today, Hinata didn't smell like vanilla sugar anymore. Her natural smell came through, the smell of lavender. She smelled good. Sodelicious. What he imagined her to smell. Her natural calm and peaceful scent was coming off her now. Not that sensory overload of sweetness.
Sasuke shook his head to get a better control of himself, but his body was in control and telling him to get clarity. He took the top of her clothing and ripped it. All her layers. Noticing that her body had put her in a state of recovery. Her own medical induced coma, to recover from earlier. As he ripped her clothing to only her bra, he saw her body taped up with gauze. On all her gland spots.
His hands never stopped shaking. They got worse. His body was now trembling and his breathing was so erratic he was forced to breathe out his mouth. His hands ripped at her bottoms as well and left Hinata in only her underwear and the gauze tape on her body. Her smell was getting stronger and Sasuke had to control his own cravings.
It had been so LONG since he's been around an Omega. Especially one that he mutually wanted.
Before peeling the gauze from her neck, Sasuke noticed her hair. He thought her hair was short, but he sees that she kept it covered because it was so long. Falling like a dark waterfall down to her hips. Her hair was thick, and she couldn't put the ointment in her locs. Her hair was seeping lavender from her scalp, and now Sasuke understood. He understood now why he just couldn't let her go. The scent gland on the head was ignored so much, some people forget about it. Like her.
She thought she had everything figured out, but she couldn't get rid of her natural smell no matter how hard she tried.
She was meant to be his.
Peeling off the gauze from her neck, the aroma hit him like a boulder. His eyes briefly rolling to the back of his head.
He proceeded with no hesitation now to peel the gauze from her inner thighs. Hinata moaning and shifting as he did this. Him gently shushing her into silence, watching her go back to sleep. This gland hit him the hardest and Sasuke found himself backing away from her body. Stumbling and falling off the bed in the process. He snatched away her wet clothing and threw the blanket back over her body.
Looking down at his unsteady hands, Sasuke saw that his claws didn't extend. He didn't want to hurt her. His body was going into the stage of wanting to take her, and his claws would cause pain.
He couldn't do this. She didn't even want this. She repelled this life so much. He would be forcing her. Proving her point on her image of Alpha's. Sasuke wasn't those Alpha's. He was raised to go about an Omega the right way.
His mind and his instincts were giving him two different orders. He needed help.
Sprinting out the room and out to his hover. Sasuke grabbed his phone and sat inside. Locking his vehicle doors, thankful that he had heavy tinted windows. He turned on his car and blasted the air conditioner because now he was feeling hot. Now he wanted nothing more than to go back inside and to have her. To watch her submit under him and quiver with unbridled passion. God, he just wanted to hear her fucking purr.
Hinata was in heat, he could tell. He was in a rut. There should be NO resisting to any of this, but here he was. Ready to tear his steering wheel off and gnaw on it.
Sasuke placed the phone to his ear and listened to it ring two times before Itachi picked up.
'Very unlike you to be the one to call me. I usually have to force you to be social.'
"She's an Omega." Sasuke's voice had taken a deeper tone, and he knew Itachi could hear the horsed panic in his voice. "Did you think she was? Is that why you told me to meet with her again?!"
'Well yeah. It was pretty obvious she was an Omega. Hiashi is just covering it up until his daughter comes back home. I figured you two would hit it off...in three days from now.'
Sasuke has never wanted to put his hands on Itachi, until now. "Itachi…She doesn't WANT this.I'm at her fucking house and she doesn't want this!"
There was a pause for about ten seconds before Itachi spoke up again.'What do youmeanshe doesn't 'want this'? Have you tried? If you did, you better not have crossed the line Sasuke. How…how the hell did you even get in this situation? I was JUST talking to you last night, and you told me you were going to stay inside for a few days. What happened to that plan?'
Sasuke closed his eyes and leaned his head on the steering wheel. Fuck he was burning up. He was getting so riled up. This was the worst rut he's ever been in.'SASUKE. Get it together before you do something stupid. LISTEN to me. Are you listening? Do I have to find you?'Sasuke could hear Itachi shuffling in his house, and the sound of him grabbing keys.
"I'm listening. You don't have to come out here."
'Okay. Break everything down Sasuke. That's the only way I can help you through this. I get what you're feeling, and if you're not going to follow through. Then you need to calm the hell down, and just talk to me. If you don't, you're going to do something you regret. Now, what happened? Starting from last night.'
Sasuke took a deep breath and actually felt a little bad for lying to Itachi. He said he was going to stay in the house, and Sasukewasplanning on making contact with Hinata a week after he cooled off. "While I was on the phone with you last night, I went online and sent her a friend request."
'….What the fuck Sasuke.'He could just see the annoyed look on Itachi's face.
"Just listen. Hinata accepted and I messaged her and asked for her number. By then I told you I would call you back. I ended up calling her and we talked for a while and scheduled to meet up this morning for a hike up the trails. About 30 minutes from the town. We talked, and everything was fine. I told her I didn't care about the Alpha and Omega dynamics of children."
'Odd. Considering you told me you wanted children, but go on.'
"At the time. I was under the impression she was a Beta. Give me a break."
'The fact you met this woman three weeks ago. Barely see her, and when you do see her, you act like a love sick puppy. You NEVER thought any of this was ODD Sasuke? Were you that sensitive to her feelings that you never called her out on anything? Like I said, go on with what happened.Please.'Itachi was clearly getting angry. All of this troublesome drama was very unlike Sasuke. Itachi was always curious how Sasuke would be once he found an Omega that interested him on a high level. He didn't expect Sasuke to be so damn psychotic.
"A giant anaconda comes out the water and snatched Hinata up."
'You have GOT to be shitting me. What the hell are you two? The perfect recipe for disaster!?'Sasuke could hear Itachi slam his hand on a desk or counter and figured he'd just rush through the story now before Itachi decided to come find him. Just to strangle him.
"It's dead. I killed it. We should send animal control out there." He heard Itachi mumble a, 'you think', but Sasuke ignored it and continued. "I was going to take her to the hospital, but she told me not to-"
'Let me guess. Like the genius youuseto be, you didn't take her to the hospital.'
His eyebrow twitched and still ignored Itachi. "I took her home. She asked me to go in her refrigerator to get her medication, and that's when I found everything out. I found the ointment in her bathroom. That was the vanilla sugar scent. Her clothes were soaked so I removed them-"
'You smelled her natural scent. She smells nothing of the vanilla sugar. She smells to your liking. You smelled her everywhere and now you're losing it. Right?'
Sasuke took a deep breath and turned his hover off. "I can't make myself leave."
'I figured not.'
"Are you coming to get me? I'll tell you where I am."
'…No Sasuke. I'll let you fix the mess you put yourself in. Can't go saving you from every little inconvenience in your life. You already got this far. She's not pushing you away. She's accepted all your advancements.'
Sasuke placed his hand over his eyes and let out a sigh. "She said she didn't like the lifestyle of Alpha's and Omega's. She's made that very clear when I first met her. She's only drawn to me because it's in her nature. She injects herself with who knows what, just because she can't stand the thought of being around an Alpha." Of being around him.
'Even you don't believe that. You KNOW that's not how Omega's work. They don't go into heat for any and every Alpha. She knows that too. You two belong together, because you're both so stubborn. She's just subtle about it, meanwhile you're throwing a fit. Look, I'm not going to tell you what to do Sasuke. We're too old for that now. However, because I understand the wave of emotions that wash over when in a rut that an Omega puts you in. I'll tell you at least this. This Hinata Hyuga, isn't going to push you away. She's just scared. Be the fucking Alpha. Do what your instincts are telling you to do. If you do that, you'll see what you both really want, and go from there. Okay?'
Itachi could hear the hover door open and knew Sasuke was going back inside. "Okay. I'm gonna call you later."
'Seriously, call me later.'
Sasuke hung up and went back into Hinata's house. He quietly locked the front door, and placed the chain on the latch. He walked through her house. Checking for anything else that needed to be locked, and making sure all her windows were secured as well. Leaving his scent throughout the house. Letting outsiders know an Alpha was occupying this house.
Walking into her bedroom. He saw Hinata was still sleeping peacefully. Only in her undergarments, snuggled in the blankets that he wrapped her up in. He walked over to her nightstand and pulled a drawer open. He had already searched the massive home with a fine tooth comb. All that was really left was her bedroom.
He found a syringe there and took it out. Placing it on top of the nightstand and he pulled out a jar of ointment as well from the drawer. Frowning in disgust at the sweet smell, now knowing what she used it for. To deny them. To deny herself.
She had no right to hurt the both of them like this. To bring them both such madness.
He wondered those two weeks she vanished. When he didn't see her around the town, if she was held up in her home. If that night fighting the Alpha and Beta, if it pushed her over the edge and she went too long without her serum. If she was burning and oozing with passion for him so much she had to lock herself in for days. She wanted to be there and protect him so much, she killed a Beta with her bare hands.
She craved him, just as much as he craved her. She was just using substances to downplay her cravings. Well, he wasn't going to let her do that anymore. If she was going to reject him, she was going to do it raw. No ointment. No serum. Just her, looking at him and saying it.
Alpha to Omega.
When Hinata woke up, she was warm and comfortable. Her skin was touching her cotton black sheets and her heavy comforter was giving her body the added weight she loved. Almost like a human snuggling her. She stretched her body and felt refreshed. Having healed herself before submitting to sleep. Hinata was feeling good.
Wait?
Her eyes snapped open as her memories caught up to her, and she noticed she had more pillows and blankets on her bed than she remembered putting on. It was night, and the moon was high in the sky. Bright, and bringing light into her room from her oversized window.
Hinata noticed she was so comfortable, because someone placed all these blankets on her. Knowing what she desired. She wasn't wrapped up anymore with the tape and gauze, so it gave her extra comfort. Hinata held the blanket to her chest and looked around the room. Before her eyes landed on a figure sitting in her reading chair that she had across her bed. Sitting against the wall.
All she saw was Sasuke staring at her. His ruby red eyes locked in on her. The black deadly dots, now turning into spirals.

So, Sasuke's senses have kicked in this chapter lol. My favorite part of the story was writing Sasuke finding everything out and flipping out. He's not too happy with finding everything out, especially since it's put him through such emotional turmoil. Knowing Hinata knew the reason why this whole time. He's gonna have a LONG chat with our favorite Hyuga.
I also want to add, Itachi was able to put everything together a bit faster than Sasuke, because he wasn't overwhelmed with the emotional rut Sasuke was in. Which was causing Sasuke aggression, sexual needs and a lot more cravings that clogged up his senses. Itachi pointing out that Sasuke wasn't himself and Itachi understood Sasuke's situation. I love writing Uchiha brother's conversations in this story. It adds comedy a little.
I hope I painted the picture of the walking trail, jungle scene well enough. Plus I felt like a snake being in this story just fits Sasuke so well, and in a way it describes Hinata being a snake and deceiving Sasuke for so long.
