They really didn't plan on being confined in Hinata's apartment for two whole additional days. Sasuke remembered how embarrassed he looked when Itachi came knocking on Hinata's door looking for him the first night. When Sasuke asked how his brother knew he was here Itachi just called it a 'hunch' and shrugged his shoulders.
"It was either Naruto's or Hinata's. I'm just relieved you didn't opt for hanging out at our home."
Sasuke remembered scowling at Itachi poking fun at him and oddly enough it was comforting to see Itachi look at Sasuke so relaxed and brotherly like.
Itachi didn't make it a big deal and Sasuke opted to stay another night. Than another night.
It wasn't their intention to be isolated from the outside world for so long, but honestly what did anyone expect. They've been deprived of a normal life for a very long time. They all got a taste of affection, love and comfort. Mix that all with sexual relations and of course they were going to stay in their makeshift world.
Plus…Hinata was an amazing cook. What was the point in leaving for?
Going back into the real judgmental world could wait. The world that couldn't yet accept Sasuke. The world that Hinata struggled to live in. The world that Naruto couldn't live in without them.
It was Hinata's idea to leave the apartment. She told them in a joking manner the world needed Naruto and Sasuke. Both men frowned at her lack of acknowledging herself. Naruto had a feeling as soon as they went back to their daily routine Hinata was going to find a way to vanish again.
So Naruto and Sasuke kept their eyes on her and Naruto wasn't wrong with his theory.
Hinata frowned at seeing Sasuke at the Hokage's building outside of Lady Tsunade's office. Sasuke looked down at her with a raised eyebrow and a bored look. "What are you doing here?"
Hinata was quiet for a moment before she took a deep breath and looked at Sasuke, "Lady Tsunade said she had a mission for me." Sasuke didn't say anything and gave a slight nod of his head before he motioned for her to knock on Tsunade's office. Hinata did and soon heard 'Enter' from the Hokage.
When Hinata walked inside her eyes widened slightly at seeing Naruto in the office with Tsunade. He was giving Hinata a harsh look and had his arms crossed while looking at her. Like he was upset with her. She didn't know why. She told them both she requested to be taking missions again.
Sasuke walked in behind her and Hinata looked lost. Tsunade smiled at this before speaking, "Nice! Now that you're all here we can talk about this long term mission I will be putting you all on."
Hinata instantly paled at hearing this, "Calm down Hinata. You will be leaving a month in advance before these two. I need you to do reconnaissance on the remaining Akatsuki members. Your skill I will admit is like no other. I haven't seen such skill and dedication in this field ever in my time in the ranks. I want you to send me reports frequently so I know you're still breathing and send notice of ANY signs that you have been compromised. Do not over use your Byakugan because these people aren't your typical criminals. They'll take advantage of a blind person Hinata."
Naruto's hardened look was now making more sense. She could tell that he spoke with Lady Tsunade for a long time before coming to terms with Hinata going on this mission alone for a whole month without any muscle.
"Team seven and Itachi will accompany you in a month to gather the information and materials you've acquired and if any information leads to a swift take down to avoid war then I want to take it. Do you understand Hinata?"
Hinata stood professionally and correct and gave an affirmative nod, "Good. If you need time extended because you're on a hot trail than send word 3 days before team seven is to be deployed."
"You shouldn't need an extension right?" Hinata looked at Sasuke and noted how he looked absolutely upset with the mission plan, "This is what you do right? What you 'wanted'. So prove your point and knock it out in a month."
Hinata didn't say anything at this. Naruto and Sasuke looked ready to argue and it was something that she refused to do at the Hokage's building. "I will not let you down Hokage-sama."
She had such strength and finality in her voice Tsunade grinned at her basically sticking it to Naruto and Sasuke. "Good. Good. You leave tomorrow night. Understand?"
Hinata nodded again and received her scrolls from Tsunade. Before Tsunade let Hinata fully take the scrolls from her hands she looked at Hinata seriously, "Hinata. Don't be a hero. You need redemption fromno one. This is not an assassination mission. This is a 'bring your ass back alive' mission. Got it? I will not be losing another on my watch."
Hinata eyed Tsunade for a moment before giving her a firm nod again.
The walk back to her apartment was horribly silent. Naruto walked beside her and Sasuke behind her. They were both silent and while it was easy for Sasuke to not make eye contact, Naruto would randomly have to look at her and she would always catch him. She would smile at him and he couldn't even force himself to return the affection.
When Hinata got inside her apartment she let Naruto and Sasuke enter behind her. Sasuke locked her apartment door and Naruto leaned against her wall near her door and just looked at her feet. "You didn't have to accept the mission Hinata."
"Yes. But I told you both that I wanted to start doing missions again."
Naruto looked at her for a second before he looked away from her because he found it hard to even think without being upset. "You're not being FAIR Hinata."
Hinata closed her hands over her chest and looked at both Sasuke and Naruto. Why were they so upset? She was trying to be useful. She was trying to be FREE.
"Please have faith in me."
She spoke in a low tone and Sasuke watched as she practically curled into herself. This was not the type of mindset she needed before a mission like this. Granted he didn't want her to go. He didn't want her mind not in the right mind frame either and end up not coming back all together.
"I have faith in you Hinata. It's just very…dangerous. I am more concerned about the Akatsuki retaliation than anything else. Still, I've seen your skill. I have faith in your skill."
Naruto shot Sasuke a dirty look and Sasuke ignored him completely. Hinata gave a small relieved smile at this and let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She looked at Naruto and still saw the anger on his face. "Naruto."
Said person just shook his head. Basically telling her he didn't want to talk. He still didn't look at Hinata, and Sasuke shot Naruto an annoyed look now. Naruto ignored Sasuke's heated stare and just looked at any and everything other than Hinata.
"I just don't get it ya' know. We go through all this stuff together and you still want to leave on these suicidal missions. I don't get it. I was kind of hoping we'd be enough for you Hinata. For you to stay with us and heal."
Hinata walked up to him quickly and Naruto held his hands up to Hinata so she couldn't touch him. Like she was bad for him. She still reached for his jacket and when she finally got a grip of him she pulled herself close and started to rub her hands on his clothed chest. "You and Sasuke are enough for me Naruto."
Her hands firmly went to his face that he tried weakly to block her from and she forcefully turned him to look at her. She leaned up towards him to kiss him and was met with faint resistance. Hinata kept kissing his lips in a desperate, feverish manner until she got the same impassioned response back from him. "Naruto and Sasuke are enough for me. Please don't forget that."
Naruto wrapped his arms around Hinata and buried his face in her neck to inhale her intoxicating scent. "I have faith in you Hinata. Just don't keep us waiting for long. I…I can't lose you. I don't think you understand how much I cannot lose you."
Hinata hugged him tightly and let out a relaxed sigh when she felt Sasuke behind her embracing her from behind. "I need you two as well Naruto. You saved me Naruto. I want to help you. I want to make sure there is no war. There is no more death."
Naruto pulled back from Hinata and moved some stray long hairs from her bangs. "Remember Hinata. You don't owe anyone anything. This is not a way for redemption. Everyone that needs to accept you has already accepted you. All the others can fuck off. You don't need to prove yourself to be mine. I'll have you and Sasuke no matter what anyone says. I told you before and I meant what I said Hinata. We are one in the same. You would die for me and I would kill for you."
Hinata flushed from her neck up to her nose at this and looked up at Naruto with pure innocent eyes. Naruto smiled at this and the two turned to look at Sasuke, who looked at the two with a raised eyebrow for a moment. "Well my main goal was not to go on a killing spree because I did not like the idea of the whole 'incarceration' thing. However, it would be wise for no one to hurt you Hinata. Naruto wouldn't be the only one feeling unstable."
This seemed to satisfy Naruto and Hinata. Hinata again looked at the two and then looked at her fingers and then back at the boys. Sasuke rolled his eyes at this while Naruto waited patiently for her to speak. "Out with it Hyuga."
"Teme! Wait you fucking asshole!"
"Shut up dobe. I swear she does this on purpose."
Hinata pouted at the crude words being exchanged and Naruto was the first to stop his antics. Sasuke opting to just give his attention back to Hinata.
"I was hoping we could have dinner somewhere outside the apartment tonight?"
They all knew that the village was still going through repairs due to the Pain invasion. Also more resources were being pumped into the possibility of war. There were some places still opened for people to get a peace of mind and sense of normalcy.
Those places were also always packed with people.
Many of those people knew them.
"We can dress casual and have a nice casual dinner."
Sasuke raised his brow at this and tilted his head, "You said casual twice."
Hinata blinked. "Oh. I did? I didn't notice."
Now Sasuke was glaring at her, "Yes, you did notice."
It didn't take Naruto long to connect the dots, "So you want to go out to eat and expect NO ONE to think any of us are in some type of relationship?"
Hinata immediately held her hands up in a defensive manner, "No, no! That is not what I was saying or meant. I just thought we could be…casual."
She finished the last part lamely and hung her head in defeat. Naruto smiled at her awkwardness and patted her head. "Okay Hinata. Let's go eat. We'll shower and change and meet you at the hibachi restaurant. Sounds good?"
Hinata quickly held her head up and agreed. She had a sparkle in her eye and Naruto loved seeing her like this. He was a little scared that once she started taking missions again she'd lose her spark and go back to her dark place.
Naruto and Sasuke arrived at the restaurant first. Both wearing black shorts. Naruto opting for a burnt orange type of dress button up shirt and Sasuke a dark ruby red button up shirt. They were about ten minutes early so it was no real big deal. The place was busy as they all predicted and Naruto and Sasuke were immediately flooded with…admirers.
Naruto internally frowned at this. Hinata wasn't going to like this. She was going to feel outcasted. He knew it. Especially with the whole 'casual' theme she had going on.
He didn't think Hinata was ashamed of what type of relationship they were in or anything. He just thought she was scared. Nervous. Rattled with anxiety that people were going to actually have a peak in her life.
Hinata felt like she was toxic, and Naruto had no clue how she couldn't tell that she was the sweetest person he had ever met. Okay…aside from when she was in ROOT because back then he absolutely wanted to mangle her at times.
Still, back then Hinata also had more opportunities and chances to call him demeaning words relating to the nine tailed fox, but she never stooped that low. So she was bad, but she wasn't THAT bad.
Sasuke lied to the admirers and told them they had an important ninja business dinner and could not be bothered, or it would upset the Hokage. The whole excuse made absolutely no fucking sense, but Naruto couldn't help but chuckle at this. Sasuke would typically be a lot ruder on getting people to leave him alone, but he could tell Sasuke was trying to be on his best behavior.
For Hinata.
Naruto and Sasuke sensed Hinata approaching and eyed the all-white sundress Hinata had on. The dress stopped right below her knees and flared out a little just below her hips. The dress was spaghetti strapped so she wore a lavender cardigan with it. Her dress had an artistic design of paint splashes on the bottom with bursting colors of vibrant blue, bloody red, onyx black and a foxy orange. She even had her hair behind her ears to show these dangling pearl earrings that matched her simple pearl necklace and bracelet. A dash of lip gloss and mascara donning her face as well.
She was beautiful.
"I rather this not be a casual dinner."
Naruto looked at Sasuke after hearing him say those words. Sasuke closed his mouth from the slight sign of gawking and stared at Naruto. Naruto slowly nodded his head agreeing with Sasuke before looking back at Hinata. "I don't want it to be casual either…So let's not make it casual. Besides, you and Hinata look too good for this to be casual."
Sasuke gave Naruto a side eye look and grinned at the compliment. "Yeah thanks."
Naruto rolled his eyes and laughed to himself. That was the best Sasuke was going to do at the moment. Naruto's eyes focused on Hinata when she finally made it to the two men, and he gave her a Colgate smile.
"Hello beautiful."
Hinata's face instantly heated up and her eyes started roaming around the outside of the busy restaurant. Naruto gave her no chance to rebuttal as he looped his arm with hers. He led her inside the restaurant and Sasuke walked on the other side of her.
Hinata knew this was her idea. She really wanted to go out with the boys and have a good evening with them and maybe go back to her apartment for some couple's time. However, seeing so many familiar faces and how busy the restaurant was she felt like she was going to have an anxiety attack.
Sasuke noticed the perspiration start to form on Hinata's face and looked around the crowded place. He spotted a section all the way in the back that was empty and asked the hostess if they could sit there. The person had no problem with it and Sasuke placed a hand on Hinata's lower back and motioned for her and Naruto to follow.
Naruto tightened his hold on Hinata, and his looped grip became a bit protective. Sasuke looked just as safeguarding. She could smell their scent and feel their body heat. She was sure her neck was lobster red and she probably looked ill. All in the same breath she was beginning to feel kind of comfortable.
Naruto and Sasuke were comfort for her.
Sasuke liked his space so he sat on the other side of the booth from Hinata and Naruto. When they made their order and were finally alone, sipping on their drinks, Sasuke waited about a good ten minutes for Hinata to calm down before he leaned over the table a little to speak.
"For a moment I was sure we were going to have dinner at the medical clinic the way you were going Hinata."
Even Hinata couldn't help but laugh at the comment. Naruto leaned over and nudged her shoulder with a grin. "You seem to like it when we aren't so 'casual' Hinata."
Hinata bit her lip at this and tapped her hands on her knees under the table. "I…umm. I honestly do like alittleless casual."
Naruto took a sip of his drink and looked at Hinata over the brim of his cup for a moment. When he placed his cup down he gave her a mischievous grin, "So a little less 'casual' means I can kiss you right?"
Hinata thanked her lucky stars that the server came out of absolutely nowhere with their food. Hinata opted for seafood and Sasuke and Naruto were more into their meat selections. After the server left and they started to heat their food up Hinata realized this didn't stop Naruto from reaching over and taking a shrimp from Hinata. When Hinata looked at him he still had the shrimp in between his chopsticks, and he was looking fervently at her.
"So? Can I?"
"No."
Naruto frowned and looked at Sasuke, "Hey. I was talking to Hinata, not you."
Sasuke finished chewing a piece of his beef before giving Naruto a bored look, "If I can't kiss her in public then neither can you."
Naruto pouted at this before looking back at Hinata, who currently looked as if she was in thought. "Umm…have you and Sasuke been affectionate in public yet?"
Naruto looked at Sasuke before looking back at Hinata with a nod, "Yeah. A few times here and there. Hinata…I am sure people know at this point. Us walking in the way we did. Me and Sasuke making things obvious between me and him…no one is going to say anything." Naruto understood her being nervous of people's judgement, in the beginning that was his biggest concern.
Hinata swiftly stuffed a piece of squid in her mouth and chewed on it for an extended period of time before taking a sip of her tea. Sasuke raised an eye brow and Naruto frowned at her. "Hinata."
"There are a lot of Hyuga's here."
Naruto and Sasuke did a light scan and there were maybe five or six in the restaurant. Not a LOT, but a good amount. One of them being Hinata's cousin Neji. When Hinata and Neji made eye contact he gave her a slight smile and a barely noticeable head nod, which Hinata returned the gesture in a similar conservative fashion.
Naruto looked at the exchange and was honestly lost. Hinata and Neji got along very well. In public they acted totally different though. He noticed that a lot between the two.
Sasuke turned to look back at Hinata with an annoyed face, "Okay I get it. Still, I wasn't like this with my family unless we were conducting clan affairs. So you Hyuga's have to be like this all the time?"
Sasuke was the first to understand. Hinata was so against public display of affection not really for shy, personal reasons, but more so because of how she was raised and how it would look on the Hyuga name. She was separated from the clan for the time being, but it was still very evident who she was, so she didn't want to embarrass them or bring dishonor to their name.
She still let her family have this strong hold on her. Which let Sasuke know that she was still hurt. Still unwilling to heal.
Hinata cleared her throat before speaking, "It is just who we are. It's not something we are forced to do. Public affection is…weak. Hyuga's are firm. We do not bend. We do not break. We save moments like that for private quarters. Privately I am very affectionate to you and Naruto."
Naruto was finally able to put the pieces together from what Sasuke and Hinata were talking about. "Oh thank God!"
Naruto was laughing lightly to himself and Hinata looked at him questioningly, "I thought you were having an anxiety attack because you were nervous of what people would say about the three of us being together. I thought it was so crazy. Now I realize you're just against PDA?! That's a better relief!"
Sasuke didn't say anything for a moment but he did put his head down and Hinata saw his shoulders shake a bit, when he lifted his head up she noticed he had just finished laughing. When he got himself together from the rare moment of laughter he leaned back and looked at Hinata.
"You hold on to the Hyuga values very seriously for you to not want anything to do with them. You use a lot of 'we' when you speak of them. You're proud to be a Hyuga still. Interesting, considering I heard you were ready to obliterate them in the past."
Hinata had a confused look on her face. She never really put much thought into her family for what felt like a long time for her. After she was granted permission to live outside and away from the Hyuga's she thought she would never think of them again. She just thought she'd forget her brother, her sister, her father, her family.
The good times. Holidays. Bad times. Abuse.
"I don't know how I feel about my family. I guess I am proud of the name. I'm proud of my brother Neji. I am proud that my sister is doing well. I am proud of my abilities because of my bloodline."
"Do you think you can forgive them?"
Naruto asked as he looked over at Hinata before stuffing some beef and rice in his mouth. He noticed that familiar cold blank stare enter Hinata's face and he watched Sasuke sit up and lean over the table slightly.
Hinata for the most part since the death of Danzo has been well behaved. The two haven't seen any signs of Hinata entering her darkened phase.
Then again Hinata hasn't been triggered either. Her family was a major trigger.
"It's hard. Some days I really think about what would happen if Lord Danzo never came. How I would be stuck. How I would be forgotten. Probably married off and just a miserable slave. I wonder if this is how Neji feels. Sometimes I think maybe…maybe I should have planned for that mission a little better before you caught me in my room. Neji would be free then. I get angry how someone could love one child more than the other. How someone could be so weak and let their clan dominate their decisions over their child. Lady Tsunade told me my father loved me, but…I don't really believe her."
Why should she? He gave her up. Twice.
He made her this way.
"You don't have to care for them just because they are your family. You don't have to speak to them ever again."
Hinata looked at Naruto with a blank face before looking at the entrance of the restaurant and seeing her father walk in. It was like he felt her presence because the two immediately made eye contact and they both respectfully gave one another a nod. Hiashi made his way over to their table and Naruto heard Sasuke mumble, 'You gotta be shitting me.'
When Hiashi made it to them Hinata automatically stood up and did the proper greeting by bowing to her father. "Lord Hiashi…father."
"Hinata." Hiashi sounded tired and like he wanted her to just straighten up and look at him in a more casual manner. It had been so long since he had seen Hinata just look at him. He was met with cold stony eyes and a frostbitten face to match. "I hope you enjoy your evening Lord Hiashi."
Naruto grimaced at the all too familiar face of a killer.
Her words hit as uncaring as well. A typical way Hyuga's spoke with one another though. A depressing way for a father and daughter to speak to one another. Hiashi understood. He messed up one too many times with Hinata. Her forgiveness was probably no longer in reach. "You as well."
Hiashi turned around to leave. He paused for a moment. Hinata watched as his head went from being lowered looking at the ground to Hiashi looking straight ahead and squaring his shoulder. Like he was ready for an altercation.
She would give him an altercation if that was what he wanted. Hiashi had turned back around and looked straight at her, "Hinata. May I speak with you in private?"
"No."
"No."
Both Naruto and Sasuke spoke up and looked at the older Hyuga with guarded eyes. Neither wanted to make a scene in the restaurant, but it was clear some people were watching anyways. Hiashi smiled at the two protectors and raised a brow at them. "That is fine."
In an ungraceful manner Hiashi pretty much pushed Sasuke further in the booth and sat down beside him. He motioned for Hinata to sit and not being one to draw attention to herself she slowly sat down to listen. Hinata was also never one to disrespect an elder and not follow orders. That was how his daughter was raised and always carried herself.
Still. Hiashi could clearly see that her blood was boiling, her cheeks were so red. Sometimes when Hinata got mad when she was a little toddler her ears would get so RED because she would hold her breath for so long. He saw some things never changed. Hiashi couldn't help but look at Hinata like she was still his shy little girl.
Realistically he should look at his daughter differently. He believed if Danzo was still alive he, himself wouldn't be alive to have this conversation with Hinata. She would have already killed him.
"I…am very happy you have found people that will take care of your heart Hinata. I could not do it. I failed you in that department. I failed you as a parent. I really…to put it bluntly, screwed up."
Hinata's lips thinned out and her eyes widened slightly before she made herself proper and raised her head while he continued to speak. Hiashi internally smiled at this before he sent Hinata an authoritative look, "That being said. You listen and you listen well Hyuga Hinata."
The sharp look coming from the two powerful young men didn't deter Hiashi from speaking.
"You have a home where ever I am. You have a home with the Hyuga's. Do not let the Hyuga elders make you believe otherwise. Your mother and I had you, not them. What I did sending you to that monster Danzo will be something I have to live with for therestof my life. I showed signs of desperation and I should never have put you in that situation. However, the reality back then was youweregoing to be sealed Hinata. I could do NOTHING at the time about it without causing an internal clan war. A civil war. I made a poor decision at sending you to ROOT but seeing you without a curse seal on you every day makes it almost worth it. You can hate me all you want Hinata, but I will continue to support and love you. Rather you want me to or not."
Hinata remained silent for a moment. She didn't say anything. A million and one things were going through her mind. Even though she could feel Sasuke's leg brushing against her under the table and Naruto's hand rubbing her knee. That did nothing to help with the anger that made her grip the table until it started to crack. She just wanted to disappear into the shadows at this very moment.
After about a full minute she looked up to her father, "I would have been agreatleader. You never…no one EVER gave me the chance."
Hiashi nodded his head and looked at Hinata with pride. So much FIRE in her right now. "There is no doubt in my mind that you would have been phenomenal Hinata. 299 successful missions in four years. All above B rank. Fast and precise."
Hinata eyes widened at this. Hiashi leaned over with chopsticks and plucked a shrimp from Hinata's tray. Both the Hyuga's favorite was seafood.
"Yes. I have always kept tabs on you Hinata. Danzo could not stop me from finding out what my daughter was up to. You would have had a solid track record of 300 if you were successful with the Uchiha right beside me. You put in for your retirement and early resignation once you hit your 300 mark. You would have left ROOT and lived your life. Reason why you were so determined. Yes? However, I am sure you are happy you were not successful."
Hinata almost choked on her own saliva and remained mute. All three young adults had flushed at the older man's statement. Hiashi chewed the shrimp and gave Hinata an amused look. When he was done he placed his chopsticks down and looked at Hinata a little more seriously.
"You want the title as clan heir back? Then marry Neji and you can have it. I finally have the leverage and I am abolishing the curse seal and it has been decided with you no longer active in the Hyuga clan that Neji will take the position. Hanabi is an excellent warrior. A good right hand man. Not a good clan leader. Even with age she wouldn't be ready to live the life of a clan leader. The Hyuga clan has hands all around the world. One of the richest and strongest clans to be known. It takes a lot to run the clan and a little too late the elders realized you and Neji were the only candidates. Having both of you running the clan would be a big deal. The children you two would have were all the elders spoke about in previous meetings over the past months. This is the main reason they pushed for you to come back to the family compound."
Hinata immediately stopped breathing and started to get ghostly pale. Naruto looked beyond upset and Sasuke was beginning to lose his appetite. Hiashi and Hinata kept eye contact and he gave a light shrug of his shoulders.
"Too little too late am I right? Maybe four years ago this would have been achievable my daughter. You and Neji have a bond that is very rare to have in the Hyuga clan. Still, I told them to eliminate that idea out of their mind and just focus on Neji. All I can say is that I am sorry that the elders, myself included, didn't see the amazing potential that you always had Hinata. I am truly sorry Hinata. I pushed for you not to come back to the Hyuga clan because I felt it was time for you to…get a life. I am happy to see that you are starting to understand what it means to live."
With that Hiashi stood up and prepared to get his own table so he could finally enjoy a full meal. "Father."
He looked back at Hinata for her to continue, "Will Neji get his curse seal removed? Will everyone that has it? It should be abolished and everyone that currently has it should have it removed. Really it only seems adequate to be used as a form of punishment if someone does something wrong."
Hiashi smiled at her. Yes. Hinata would have been an amazing leader. He really fucked up.
"Of course Neji will have it removed Hinata. Maybe when you hit your 300 record you can spend more time helping Neji with the Hyuga clan. As an advisor seeing as you will already be busy with your own family."
With that Hiashi walked away and left the young couples to themselves.
Naruto stared at his food for a moment before deciding he would get it wrapped up to-go. "Your father is a grade A douche ya know."
Hinata slowly nodded her head at this while sporting a spaced out look. Sasuke was the first to get the servers attention and get to-go boxes. When the server left to go get the boxes and check Sasuke leaned in a little to the other two, "Marry yourcousin? I've seen people wed within the clan, but isn't he like your first cousin? I've heard you call him your brother."
Hinata still had a spaced out look before looking at Sasuke, "I don't even understand why they would think that was a good idea. Neji and I have never given the impression or showed signs of us in that manner. Neji is in a relationship with Tenten. I don't understand at all."
The three remained quiet again. The boxes came back. They paid and left the restaurant. On their walk back to Hinata's apartment she finally broke the silence, "Maybe it was the children they were thinking about. The children probably would have been very strong and talented."
Naruto walked a little ahead of Hinata and stopped. He turned around to look at her and Hinata finally snapped out her daze and noticed the aggravated fire in his eyes. His eyes took on a darker look and he was taking deep breaths. "Thinking about you and Neji having children?"
Hinata blinked in confusion before shaking her head furiously, "Wha-what? No! I was just wondering where my clan got the crazy idea from."
Oh, now it was her clan again? Earlier that day she was Hinata-no last name.
They were walking through the park and there were a few people out. On lookers. An audience. Sasuke looked at Naruto in a manner to tell him not to cause a scene because he was acting like a jealous idiot.
Naruto seemed to not give two shits, "No. You were thinking about strong, talented little Neji and Hinata's. Who cares about why they had that crazy ass idea. I don't want to hear about you and Neji's children. I want to hear about our children Hinata. Our future. You're about to go on some crazy ass mission and you're thinking about children withfreakingNeji."
Naruto spoke as low as possible to not draw attention, but he was pretty aggravated. Maybe he was over exaggerating, maybe not. He didn't care at the moment.
Hinata looked absolutely lost and continued to shake her head, "I wasn't thinking about it like that I swear. Plus…I do…think about us."
Naruto blinked at Hinata, "Huh?"
"I think if the blue eye trait is really that dominate. If so would they still have the Byakugan. Would the Sharingan and Byakugan evolve into something else. There were a lot of males in the Uchiha family, would I be the first to have a girl for Sasuke's family line? Since girls run in my family. Would any children have red hair like Naruto's really beautiful mother. Would I have many children because twins run in my family. Twins can have two different fathers you know? One yours, one Sasuke. I think about things like this all the time."
Naruto felt like a total asshole at that moment.
"I told you you're more hot-headed than me dobe. Truly a class A moron."
Naruto shot Sasuke an annoyed look. He was about to say something snarky to him, but Hinata cradled his face in her hands and looked at him with a light blush on her face. "Aww shucks Hinata. I'm really sorry. I really fucked-"
Hinata interrupted Naruto by giving him a plump kiss. She pulled away before Naruto could respond back and turned towards Sasuke and did the same thing to him just as fast. She was beet red and said nothing as she briskly started walking to the direction of her apartment. On lookers clearly staring at her.
Naruto had this goofy grin on his face as he followed after Hinata with Sasuke right beside him shaking his head with a small smile on his face.
Leave it to Naruto to make a Hyuga bend.
