Food.
Need Food.
Where Food?
So long, no food.
A large boar slowly moved it's bulk through the woods, as it had been doing for all of it's life, and what was more, even in it's death. The giant creature had been bitten many times near the end of it's life by strange humanoids who had chased it down until it had exhausted it's stamina.
Then it died.
Now, it searched to fulfill it's endless hunger, but so far it had failed to catch even a single creature it could devour. It's endless hunger went unsatiated in the slightest.
It heard a sound.
Like a radar, the exact location of where the sound had been created was pinpointed to it. It was 30 meters away from the sound. The undead boar charged towards where the sound had come from, and that sound produced more sounds. It collided with something that prevented it from reaching where the sound was coming from. It's giant bulk not allowing it to enter the small space where the sound had come from. It had no vision, so it didn't know how small it needed to be, but it knew where the sound was coming from.
The trees of it's home forest were now barriers that prevented it from ending the hunger for flesh that plagued it.
It moaned in hunger.
Another sound, further in the distance, but the undead boar changed course and charged towards where the sound had come from. It ran through the forest, and it would bang against trees, peeling it's fur off of it's body, and chunks of meat.
The sun went down and it didn't catch any prey to eat.
The boar just stumbled around as it's blackened blood dripped off of the wounds it suffered by charging through the forest without eyes to guide it. It felt no pain though, it's wounds didn't matter. The stripped off fur made it go faster than before, so it was able to chase down prey even better than before, but it's bulk still didn't allow it to catch the prey when combined with the fact it just couldn't see where it was going to avoid trees and rocks.
The sound of a twig breaking.
The boar knew exactly where the prey was, even in the middle of the night with the sun down, because it no longer had eyes anyway. It chased down the sound of a bird and slammed against a tree, it's front legs scrambling to try and get up the tree. The flesh on the legs peeled from it's body. When it went 30 minutes without getting to the source of the sound, it stopped what it was doing and started to stumble around, waiting for the next sound that would alert it to where it needed to attack next.
It wasn't until the sun came up that it heard another sound.
So, when it did hear a sound, it charged... faster than even in it's life. Without it's fur, and with an entire layer of skin and fat being stripped off of it's body, it's muscles weren't weighed down. It was able to exert more force as the blackened blood had hardened. It smashed through the sides of trees, because with more speed and less resistance, there was little that could stop it. It slammed it's head into a wall though.
"Eeeeeeek!"
There was a faint sound behind the wall, so it slammed itself into the wall again. It needed to get to where the sound was. It was faster now and stronger, it no longer felt pain, only this torturous hunger.
"Ssshhhhhhh, be quiet, stay away from the window."
More sounds behind the barrier, meaning there for sure food to be found there. It scrapped it's face against the barrier, because it was a creature that had great and dangerous tusks. It bit and did whatever it could to destroy the object keeping it from it's meal.
It was hours.
The sounds had stopped, so the prey was gone. The boar turned around and started to hobble around as it searched for a sound it could track. There was an all consuming sound though in an instant, and it was on fire. The boar's black bloodied body was consumed by fire, and it ran as it heard sounds come from all directions. The sounds of fire crackling kept the boar running in random directions to find the sound of the fire that had consumed it's body.
The boar felt no pain.
The fire on it's body didn't hurt the boar at all.
It would trip and roll across the ground, it's flaming body getting stones caught in it's exposed muscle fibers. The fire that consumed it's body was shrinking the size of it's muscles as the stones got caught in it's bones. The only part of the boar's body not covered in fire, was it's neck and hooves, which had been covered with mud that was starting to harden with the rocks in the mud.
The sound of rain.
It was distracting and everywhere, but the fire was put out from it's body. It couldn't hear the sound of prey though, so with the sound of rain, it could only try and find a different sound. It's body was much lighter now with half of the flesh that had once covered it burned away, and it's blackened remaining flesh hardened like armor.
The sound of prey.
It charged once more.
"What is that!? A demon!?"
The sound of it's prey speaking in sounds alerted it to the fact that it was chasing prey, and gave it it's exact location. There was a lot noice from that spot, and something impacted the boar's skull, but it bounced off. It opened it's mouth and chomped down on the prey, and the sound ended with a dead creature in front of it. It started to devour the first meal it had, had since it died.
It tasted like nothing, it had no sense of taste.
Still, the creature it ate went down it's throat, and it would have gone into it's stomach if it still had a stomach. The boar's internal organs had long since fallen out from the wounds it had suffered from trying to catch prey, so the meal it was eating would go down it's throat, only to fall down onto the ground when it got to the hole where it's stomach was. It continued to eat, and it didn't feel it's hunger even slightly go away.
There were more sounds, twigs cracking and leaves moving.
It stopped eating and chased down the prey.
"Aaaaaa! Run! I'll distract it-"
It speared the first prey, but the sound of more sounds was still in front of it.
"Wait, please no, don't-"
It bite down on the creature, and there was a crunching sound in it's mouth as it got the prey's head in it's mouth and just smashed it like a grape. It had caught 3 meals since it had been set on fire, and it's body made lighter and harder. It didn't sate it's hunger though when it devoured the three meals it caught, and it just moaned in suffering.
It needed food.
It needed more food to feel full, to end this hunger.
There was another sound, a new sound. The sound of something very big, very large and an even longer distance away from it's current meals. It stopped eating and charged towards where the sound was coming from. It ran at it's top speed and chased down the noise, but the noise got softer than before.
It was night again.
Another day had passed it's death by.
The sound kept going, and then it just stopped.
A muffled sound.
"We'll park the RV here tonight, Naruto is asleep and I'm too tired to keep driving."
It was more muffled meal sounds.
Muffled meal sounds meant that this meal was in some kind of barrier, but it was stronger and faster than before. The undead boar pushed it's head up against the barrier. It could hear a meal, but it didn't know the exact location of the meal inside of the barrier.
"I'll go on guard duty."
"Kohta, we're next to the forest, and we haven't driven by any zombies in hours. As long as we're quiet, we don't need a guard. God, you are just so stupid."
Prey!
Food!
It slammed it's weight against the barrier, and until the barrier before that it couldn't even move, this time the barrier went down.
"WHAT!?"
"OH!"
"The fuck, AH... Rei, your spear is lodged in my arm!"
"SORRY! The RV flipped!"
"Are you okay Alice?"
"Mmmmph!"
Now the barrier was below it as the boar stood on top of the barrier, and the sounds were coming from below it's feet on the barrier below it. It got on it's hind legs, and smashed it's front legs onto the barrier it was standing on.
"Oh hell! What-"
"Sssssh, quiet you dumbass."
There was silence, and the boar kept trying to break the barrier, but it couldn't, so it hobbled off the barrier preventing it from eating. It stumbled off of the thing keeping it from food and walked towards the forest again, and it continued to wander around it's area.
Still, it would stay in this area, this was where food was.
