"So... it's kind of boring just laying here."

"Yeah, trust me... 4 days of this has been driving me crazy." Naruto put his head down. He and Rei were both forced to just lay down and be taken care of so that they could recover, and it was driving him insane to know that the others were hard at work while he wasn't doing anything productive with his time.

"The medicine hurts too... they could be more gentle when they put it on my..." Rei trailed off when she was about to say boobs. She had bruising on her breasts as well, and even though she had spent the last 4 days butt naked with only a towel or blanket to cover her body, she still didn't want to draw attention to her breasts when possible. The Hyuga maids didn't hold back when they massaged the ointment into her body.

It hurt a lot.

She wished Naruto could do it instead, or she would settle for Shizuka or even Saeko, but the Hyuga women had no restraint when it came to her comfort. She could stand up on her own, but the maids told her that until she could move without pain, that she was forbidden from standing up without a maid helping her to move around. It was humiliating to need to be walked to the bathroom whenever she needed to go, and she couldn't take a bath either. She was rubbed down with a warm, wet towel instead of getting a proper bath.

Well, she had gone awhile without a proper bath at this point.

"No, sadly you need to massage the medicine to get it pretty deep. I hope Hanabi isn't giving the others trouble right now." Naruto knew the girl well enough to know that she must be acting the part of a brat right now. Rei sighed in annoyance at the mere mention of Hanabi, but she hadn't seen the girl in a day so her annoyance was lessened by distance.

It got silent between them.

"Do you think my Mom is okay right now?" Rei asked Naruto.

"Yeah, she's fine. She's the only one who knows how to deliver a baby, so the cult needs her alive now and into the future. That place was well fortified." Naruto didn't see a reason for them to worry about those they left behind with the cult. The men were too valued to be killed off, and since Kiriko was the only grown woman experienced with birth, she was now valuable to them. They would be well protected at that small colony. "You should be more worried about this place."

"Why?" Rei asked.

"Because, the Hyuga live on a private mountain home. Their property is walled off from the forest, and while food is abundant, access to escape routes is limited. Also, once Kurama gets back to me, we're going to need to head out." Naruto was still waiting for his pet partner to come back with a message. They couldn't stay in this place forever, it was well defended and safe, but it was too isolated. The best defensive place needed to be both easy to defend, but also open enough that it could avoid total isolation as well. "Also, while this mansion is big enough to handle 30, or even 40, people... one day it won't be enough." Naruto couldn't see this place as a permanent base, not in the current world situation.

"It is as he says."

"Ah!" Rei shouted when Hiashi showed he was in the room with them.

"That is why once you have recovered, and when your RV is repaired, I would like it if you left, and found a better place for us all to migrate to." Hiashi mentioned to Naruto. He looked down at Naruto proudly for figuring out the issue with the Hyuga estate, something that had been bothering him for awhile. "This home isn't going to last forever, and once more animals become zombified, it won't be a home, it will be a grave. Naruto, I know I am asking much, but can you please find my family a new place to call home?" Hiashi asked Naruto.

Naruto nodded.

"I want to save as many people as I can, and that includes you guys. My goal was always to find a place that is easy to defend, with abundant resources, that can fit tons of people in it for a long period of time." Naruto started to try and force himself to stand back up, but Hiashi forced him back down by leaning down and holding him there. The man was satisfied with Naruto's answer.

"Uh... Hiashi... sir... isn't this place safer?" Rei asked.

"Only for the moment, but last night we lost another man who had gone out to search for food. This mountain is not safe, and the longer we stay here, the less safe it becomes. That is why I wish for Naruto to find us a better place. Once he finds a place, we will move there and make ourselves useful." Hiashi wasn't going to just be a burden. "The Hyuga had been been excellent massage artists, doctors, and martial artists for many years. Once Naruto finds us a new home, we will make sure it can grow into a community worthy of saving humanity."

"How many Hyuga men are left?" Naruto asked the older man.

"We have 5 able bodied men, 2 who can't perform much physical labor, and we have 17 able bodied women." Hiashi gave the numbers off the top of his head.

Rei was honestly surprised.

"Why are there so many more women than men!?" Rei didn't realize just how many more women there were than men.

"Because, it's the men who go out and die hunting, or get bitten by zombies and get put down. The Hyuga men are strong willed, and will protect the women of our clan to the last breath." Hiashi saw nothing strange with there being more women then men at the moment. It was just normal for the men to die to protect the women, that was how they were hard wired. It was part of their protective instincts to lay down their lives. "... Have you not noticed that your group is also mostly women?" Hiashi pointed out.

"Uh..."

"Of course, we do have women who forage for resources as well. My own daughter is too stubborn to not pull her own weight, she puts in just as much effort as many man, despite my best efforts to get her to stop." Hiashi truly wished his daughter would just stay safe in the compound, but instead she was always going out with the men to hunt for food in the mountains. "Girl, lower your chest down, I don't wish to see that." Hiashi changed the subject.

Rei had been interested and lifted her upper body, revealing her breasts, but having it called out made her lower herself once more. She was red in the face that she flashed an older man such a view, and she looked at Naruto to see his reaction.

Not much of one other than him trying to hide a smile.

-In the Forest-

"I'm impressed Fatty."

Hanabi was insulting, but there was more warmth in her voice as she looked at the restrained deer that Kohta had trapped. She stabbed it in the throat to kill it, but the fact was that it was his trap that had caught it, and not just that one deer, but this was the second deer he had caught for them today alone. It was of an impressive size as well.

"Uh... Hanabi-chan... can you keep your voice down, there might be zombies in the area." Kohta was all alone with Hanabi, and he only had a single rifle on him. He hadn't shot any animals if he could help it, but if they got surrounded by zombies, his one rifle wasn't going to be enough.

"So?" Hanabi asked with a raised eyebrow. "If a zombie is close enough to hear us, it is close enough to see us. So there isn't any point in keeping our voices down." Hanabi didn't see the big deal.

Kohta's jaw dropped.

She didn't know!?

"Hanabi-chan... zombies are blind, if they can't hear you, they can't find you." Kohta watched her reaction, and her jaw dropped and turned her head quickly to stare at him. That was the proof he needed that the fact zombies were blind was not common knowledge to the Hyuga. It was no surprise that they kept losing people if they didn't know that fact. 'Wait... our group had people who purposely tested out if they were blind or not... could it be that most people don't know they are blind.' Kohta could see it.

Most people would get either caught and bit, or would just run at the sight of a zombie, so testing out if they were blind or not wasn't a common thing for them.

Hanabi really was stunned.

"Wait... so... oh... oh..." Hanabi slowly covered her mouth in shock when she realized that things could have been so much easier for them all if they had known that their enemy couldn't see them. With each 'oh' she spoke her voice got more quiet. The deer was bleeding out quickly on the ground, and she got to work tying it up. "... Wow Fatty, you're super smart to figure out zombies can't see... consider me even more impressed with you." Hanabi grabbed the rope and hefted it over her shoulder, before she started to drag the deer with her back towards the mansion.

"Actually, I learned it from Takagi-san." Kohta whispered to her.

She stared him down.

"Hmmmm... okay..." Hanabi smiled at him for his honesty. Most would have just taken the compliment, and ended it there. "You know what Fatty, I'm starting to see why Onii-chan keeps you around, you're useful and honest." Hanabi grinned at him, but she proceeded to become serious when there was a shout of pain and horror from nearby.

She dropped the rope and rushed towards where she heard the scream, but she stopped instantly when she saw a small group of zombies were wondering around the area where she heard the scream. Her feet skidding to a stop alerted them to her presence, but she covered her mouth and moved to hide behind a tree once they started to go where she had been. She saw Kohta had stayed silent, and was moving towards the sound of the scream just like her.

Zombies, even on the mountain.

'Right, something had to turn that boar into a zombie... this is such a big group... 1, 2, 3... about 15 zombies.' Kohta stopped next to Hanabi, and he saw her face twist in anger when she saw the zombies themselves, and he looked at them to see that half of the group of zombies had similar features to Hanabi.

Half of these zombies were her family members, so he grabbed her shoulder in the hopes that he could prevent her from making a foolish move out of emotion. There were tears of fury in her eyes when she saw her family members moving corpses. She looked like she was about to try and put them all down, but with 15 zombies and her only weapon being a knife, and her being a 15 year old girl, she was not going to be able to handle the situation if it got much worse.

As it did minutes later.

Hanabi's eyes widened, the anger replaced by fear when 15 zombies turned into close to 40 as a small hoard of zombies started to come out of the woods and walk towards where they heard the sound of something. They passed by Hanabi and Kohta, since both of them remained quiet, none of them were spotted by the zombies, even though they walked so close by them.

'So many!' Hanabi didn't even know there were this many zombies in the area.

'Without the noises of the city thanks to the EMP, zombies are hearing animals in the woods, and moving in herds towards animal sounds! The forests aren't safe... forests are even less safe than cities now!' Kohta was sweating bullets when 40 zombies turned into OVER 100 zombies that formed a large hoard. He was shaking when he counted the bullets that he had, and he only had 12 bullets on him at the moment.

They were fucked if they so much as snapped a twig at the moment.

What was he suppose to do in this situation.

What would Naruto do?

'... I'm not Naruto... I'm not as strong as him. If Naruto were here, and things turned to shit, he could fight his way out and protect Hanabi... but I'm not like him, and I only have 12 bullets for this rifle.' Kohta gulped when he thought about what he could do. He looked at Hanabi, who was sweating and she looked like she was going to freak out. There was a hoard of over 100 zombies moving around them.

Stay quiet?

Hanabi reached up, and she bit down on her palm until her blood started to drip down her wrist and forearm. She calmed herself using her pain, and the freak out that had been about to happen, stopped cold as she took in her surroundings.

'... They are all the move, as long as we stay silent, don't freak out... eventually these zombies will walk passed us. North is... that way, and that would make home... that way... the zombies should walk nearby the house, but they shouldn't walk directly in it's path either.' Hanabi cooled her own head and analyzed everything slowly. Her breath was slower and much more steady, and she grabbed Kohta by the wrist. She forced him to let go of his gun, before she grabbed it, and held it in her mouth to the best of her ability.

She climbed up the tree they were using to hide, before she moved across a tree branch. The branch shook under her standing on it. Kohta slowly climbed the tree behind her, but he stopped halfway up. Hanabi lowered the rifle for him to grab, and he grabbed onto it so that she could help him get up to the tree branch with her.

Hanabi found North again, and then she took her sandles off.

She tossed them as hard as she could in the opposite direction, and they made a loud noise against a tree that she hit. The hoard of zombies took notice of the loud noise that she made, and started to lumber towards the noise. Hanabi was satisfied with the hoard moving even further away from the direction of her home.

'Woah, she's amazing. She just learned that zombies can't see, and she's taking advantage of that to lead them away from her home.' Kohta watched Hanabi as she took responsibility for protecting her home.

She was cut from the same kind of cloth as Naruto was.

She was a natural born leader, somebody who looked after others. She led the way by taking more responsibility onto her own shoulders, and allowing others to follow her if they wanted to.

After close to 20 minutes, all of the zombies were out of sight, so Hanabi jumped out of the tree and landed gracefully on the ground. She picked up her sandles, slipped them on, before she looked up towards Kohta.

"Come on Fatty, we need to head back and tell my father about the zombies lack of sight... do you need help getting down?" Hanabi asked as she looked up towards him. He shook his head, and climbed back down the tree. She put her hands in her pockets, and made her way back towards the deer that was still tied up.

She reached down to grab the rope to drag the deer again, but he stepped forward and grabbed it before she could.

"Here, let me get that for you."

"Heh, I'm starting to like you more Fatty. Come on, we don't have time to waste, the others should be getting back to the mansion by now." Hanabi walked and allowed Kohta to be the one to drag the deer instead of her.

Kohta instantly regret his choice.

He stuck with his choice though, because even though the deer was heavy, Hanabi had praised him for his desire to do the harder work. He couldn't just abandon his offer and ask her to take the hard job, not when she had showed herself far too willing to put herself in danger. He looked at her bleeding hand, and the bite mark that was imbedded into her flesh.

"... My name... it's Kohta Hirano."

"I know your name, but I like Fatty more. It's more fun." Hanabi looked back at him with a mild smirk. "Come on Fatty Fat Fatterson." Hanabi added even more insult to the nickname.

Okay, now even Kohta could tell she was just messing with him.
