Chapter 11 – Titans Unleashed
The city trembled beneath the ferocity of Hulk's rampage.
Cars flipped through the air like toys, shattered pavement rained across the streets, and the echoes of collapsing buildings reverberated through the chaos. Hulk's colossal frame tore through the urban landscape with relentless, unbridled rage, each roar like a thunderclap, scattering terrified civilians as they fled for safety.
Above the carnage, Tony Stark descended, deploying his Hulkbuster armor. The reinforced mech bristled with specialized modifications—quad-layered plating, hydraulic impact stabilizers, and micro-drone repair units. Under the neon haze of city lights, the armor gleamed ominously, a mechanical colossus ready to face its target.
"Alright, big guy," Tony muttered under his breath, his HUD locking onto Hulk's movements. "Let's dance."
Hulk, his mind overtaken by Wanda's cruel enchantment, snarled with fury, his fists slamming into the pavement. The impact sent shockwaves tearing through the streets, cracking the asphalt and shattering windows in a chain reaction. Without hesitation, the Green Goliath hurled himself forward like a living missile, his rage fueling every muscle.
Tony fired his stabilizer jets, propelling the Hulkbuster forward to intercept. The two titans collided mid-air, the sound of their impact rippling through the city like an explosion. Hulk's fists hammered into Tony's armor, denting reinforced plating with each devastating strike.
"Alright, muscle head," Tony grunted, his thrusters activating to push Hulk back. "Let's see how you handle this."
He triggered the armor's hydraulic boosters, locking Hulk into a grapple and shoving him backward through a row of abandoned vehicles. Hulk roared in defiance, twisting free with terrifying strength. With a deafening bellow, he ripped a chunk of the Hulkbuster's arm clean off and flung it across the city.
Tony cursed, his AI frantically recalibrating. "Okay… rude. Let's try that again."
But before the next clash could begin, a shadow loomed over both combatants. Something enormous.
Hulk hesitated, his enraged glare flicking upward. Tony's sensors flared wildly, warning of an incoming mass.
And then—
Way Big landed.
The earth-shattering impact sent a tremor through the city, toppling nearby streetlights and destabilizing crumbling buildings. The titanic alien's glowing blue markings illuminated the chaos as his skyscraper-sized frame towered over the battlefield. Hulk stumbled under the shockwave, momentarily disoriented.
"Stark!" Ben boomed, Way Big's voice resonating like a bass drum, echoing through the shattered streets. "We need to talk!"
Tony blinked in disbelief, his HUD adjusting to the colossal presence. "Uh… okay. Normally, I don't take advice from building-sized aliens, but sure—what's up?"
Ben glanced down at Hulk, who growled ferociously, still trying to push against Way Big's immobilizing weight. "Ultron sent the Vibranium away before we got there," Ben explained. "And he used Wanda to mess with Banner's head. That's why Hulk's like this."
Tony's mind raced. "So… he played us," he muttered bitterly, scanning the wreckage around him. "He wanted this fight to happen."
Ben nodded, his massive foot pressing Hulk firmly into the pavement. "If we don't stop this now, Johannesburg's going to be a crater."
Tony exhaled sharply, recalibrating the Hulkbuster's systems. "Right. Time to put the big guy to bed."
The ground trembled beneath Hulk's renewed fury. His massive arms tensed as he pushed against Way Big's hold, his strength unfathomable even under the titan's weight. Buildings shuddered with each of Hulk's roars, glass windows bursting from the pressure.
Then—
With a deafening bellow, Hulk surged upward, his muscles bulging as he shoved Way Big's leg aside. The alien staggered, caught off-guard as Hulk lunged forward, grabbing his opponent's massive ankle with both hands.
Hulk roared again, lifting Way Big's leg with titanic force and swinging the alien titan sideways. Ben's colossal frame crashed into a nearby skyscraper, the structure crumbling like sand as debris rained down on the streets below.
Ben groaned, his massive hand clutching the shattered remains of the building as he attempted to steady himself.
Meanwhile, Hulk turned his furious gaze toward Tony, who hovered above the chaos, watching for his moment to strike.
"Alright, buddy," Tony muttered, initiating his Hulkbuster's reinforced gauntlet protocols. "Let's see what you've got."
Hulk charged.
Tony met him head-on, their collision sending tremors through the ground. The Hulkbuster's hydraulic punches landed with precision, forcing Hulk back a few steps—but the enraged Goliath barely registered the blows, his fists hammering against Tony's armor in a relentless barrage.
Each hit tore away pieces of the Hulkbuster's plating, exposing vulnerable inner mechanisms. Tony's AI blared warnings across his HUD as he initiated emergency drone repairs mid-fight.
From the wreckage of the skyscraper, Ben emerged once again—this time as Goop.
His liquid form slithered across the battlefield, reassembling itself into a gelatinous humanoid shape. Ben's mass shifted and pulsed, his strategy clear: containment.
Tony, still grappling with Hulk, glanced toward Ben's reformed figure. "You know," he said dryly, firing another stabilizer at Hulk, "this is not making me feel better about your whole alien toolbox."
Ben smirked. "Don't worry. I've got this."
He surged forward, his slimy mass expanding to wrap around Hulk's arms and legs like living restraints. Hulk struggled, growling ferociously, his muscles straining against Goop's amorphous hold.
For a moment, it seemed like they might succeed.
But then—
Wanda's red mist curled ominously through the air.
The enchantment seeped deeper into Hulk's mind, reigniting his fury. His growls turned into guttural roars as a new surge of strength broke through Goop's containment entirely.
Ben reformed, his expression grim. "Alright. Plan B."
The city was crumbling under the weight of their battle. Streets lay in ruins, and the distant cries of fleeing civilians echoed hauntingly through the smoke-filled air.
Tony's armor was battered, his systems barely holding together. Ben's Omnitrix blinked as he prepared to make his next move.
Emerald light flared outward.
And in Ben's place stood ChamAlien.
The sleek, chameleon-like alien shimmered faintly, his form fading into total invisibility as he disappeared into the chaos.
Tony charged at Hulk again, his reinforced fists slamming into the monster's chest, but Hulk retaliated with brutal efficiency, tearing another chunk off the Hulkbuster.
Unseen, Ben maneuvered behind Hulk, his body coiling for a precise strike.
Then—
Ben leapt onto Hulk's back, locking his paralyzing grip around the green giant's neck. ChamAlien's neurotoxin surged into Hulk's system, counteracting Wanda's enchantment.
Hulk roared, his movements faltering. His vision blurred, and his immense strength wavered as the toxin took effect.
Tony seized the moment, deploying emergency containment fields. Reinforced restraints locked around Hulk's limbs, finally holding him in place.
Hulk collapsed to the ground, his body heaving as his green hue began to fade.
Slowly, painfully—Bruce Banner re-emerged.
Ben deactivated the Omnitrix, rolling off of Bruce and panting heavily.
Tony surveyed the destruction around them, his armored frame dented and scorched. "Well," he muttered, "that was a nightmare."
Ben nodded, wiping sweat from his brow. "Yeah. But it's done."
The city fell silent, the smoke settling over the battlefield like a shroud. But both Tony and Ben knew the fight wasn't truly over.
Ultron was still out there.
Albedo was loose.
And they were running out of time.
