Kett Campaign of Habitat Seven

They come back to the Spirit Star and gear up with as much as they can hold; several hands touch and pick up grenades, handguns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, cannons, and shotguns. The crew is nearly ready, but there is doubt in Johnson. He looks at everyone only to see that this is just one of many great fights he will have to endure. He takes a moment to look at his human friends and non-human friends. He didn't know them much, but he was ready to lay down his life for them. Instead of Covina, Groax, Meika, or Zor'Kin, he calls Chris and Laura. He asks them to join him on the surprise attack they will do with the special ops. Mayon and Urkin order their teams to start the assault sooner than expect. Thanks to their hasty movement, Jacob and Bynisa order them to stand down; however, the two brutes of war ignore them. Things are still going well, but they had to hurry up.

Johnson orders his crew to stay behind and be ready for dust-off. Chris, Laura, and Johnson advance to meet up with STG and special ops. By the time they arrive, they are left behind. The need to claim glory is slowly sinking and slithering inside their head. Johnson looks at his friends and smirks as they know what they must do now. They find another way around them and move through the harsh land. Despite the lighting strikes and thundering sound, they advance through the area and manage to find kett squads away from others and rescue a few asari scouts. The tasks are easy, but the battle reports coming through the coms are full of trouble.

Mayon reports, "Urkin, make sure your forces are not advancing too quickly. You will encounter more resistance."

The krogan don't want to hold back as they charge through the terrain with their blood boiling for battle. Johnson sighs and starts looking for more scouts and eliminating kett. The team comes to the first kett device and shut it down; in fact, they add an explosive charge to it and shatter it to pieces. The campaign is going somewhat good as more kett move to the first facility in great numbers. After they rescue another asari scout, Johnson and his team move to the large kett facility. It turns out, they manage to come to the third kett facility as STG infiltrates the other place. Chris looks up to the sky and points out how the battle in the sky is looking.

He says, "Nice to see the Nexus and Syndicate are holding their own in the sky, but they need some more firepower."

Laura adds, "I agree. We can go inside this place and deal with the kett while Jim flies up with the crew to help everyone out. But what about the people here?"

A. Paragon Option: Inform Jim. (Save more ships and soldiers)

B. Neutral Option: Change the plan. (Save more ships)

C. Renegade Option: Do nothing. (Lose more ships and soldiers)

Johnson contacts Jim and says, "Jim, I need you to make two passes down here on the ground and fly up to the orbit battle. Right now, My team and I will get inside the third kett building and do what we can."

Jim replies, "Copy that, Capt. Johnson. I'll make sure that people know we came here to fight than stand back. Expect me back when it is over, and I'll pick you up from there."

Johnson, Chris, and Laura come to the kett building. It is without a doubt heavily protected. They see no way inside until the surprise comes to them. A rocket slams into several parts of the place. The kett scrambles everywhere to find out where the enemy is, but the moment is upon them. Johnson and his friends move inside the building, gunning down kett as they go. From walls holding kett weapons to device, the building has no end to what the enemy will use. Upon moving into several rooms, they find the dining room and sleeping quarters. It must have taken them months to set this place up and be livable.

In the next room, they all stumble across operating rooms. It is horrifying to see various beings torn in half, cut open, and spliced into others. One table has a human and turian joined together by stitches while the other next to it has a krogan and human mixed together by genes. There is no end to the number of times the kett opened every species up with the knives and used them for every type of trial. They all keep scanning the area until a group of kett come from a side door. Johnson is left standing in the middle while Laura and Chris take to the sides. Out from the door, the kett chosen and two anointed accompany their leader. Johnson keeps his gun aiming at them despite being outnumbered, but he remembers who has his side. Out fromt behind their backs, the leader shows his face.

Primosas says, "I see that you are here. You are either foolish with a death wish, or you are ready to receive a gift that we offer. Which one are you here for?"

A. Paragon Choice: I am here to stop you.

B. Neutral Choice: I can be reasonable.

C. Renegade Choice: I don't give a damn.

Johnson answers, "You clearly don't remember our last conversation. I intend to stop you, your army, and any other kett in the cluster."

Primosas laughs softly as he approaches, "You are brave for a human. I understand now why the Archon failed against the Path Finder. He didn't do what he should have done with you, but I am a generous kett lord. It is not wise to stand against us. You can only imagine what horrible fate awaits you and others when I kill you all. I offer you this one-time, human Johnson. Accept the gift and transcend to a new life or die with your kind and be used as amusement for us."

The air is stable around them, but time is short. Johnson waits patiently as he thinks of something else to say.

A. Paragon Choice: Why do this?

B. Neutral Choice: What is your goal?

C. Renegade Choice: When do you die?

Johnson asks, "Why are you even doing this?"

Primosas replies, "The reason for this is because all of you are nothing but lesser beings. You can have greatness and achieve more if you lay down your weapons. The kett has more than enough numbers to overcome anything you throw at us. We have an empire that stretches far into the darkness of space. Once you hear us come, you will tremble and beg to be saved. Now, I ask you once more. Which one are you here for?"

A. Paragon Interrupt: Signal your friends. (Chris & Laura fire)

B. Neutral Interrupt: Try to shoot Primosas.

C. Renegade Interrupt: Shoot a kett chosen. (Laura & Chris fire)

Johnson signals his friends as they come from the shadows and fire. Several kett are taken down as Johnson aims at Primosas. He squeezes the trigger and sends a bullet at him, scratching the left side of the cheek. Primosas pulls back in pain as his fellow warriors cover his retreat. The trio take down more kett as they dive for cover. Before they can advance, Jim contacts Johnson by radio.

Jim says, "Capt. Johnson, sir. The ground assault teams and air support are moving on your location. What's your status?"

A. Paragon Choice: Update Situation. (Shoots kett fighters)

B. Neutral Choice: Bad news.

C. Renegade Choice: We're kill them. (Shoots kett fighters)

Johnson reports, "The situation isn't completely fubar. I just had a nice chat with Primosas and managed to harm him. Keep the outside area under fire."

The radio chat goes silent as they move through the facility taking down more kett. On the outside, Jim flies the Spirit Star over to a ledge. The kett chosen and destined open fire at the ship only to see that it can withstand the barrage of damage. Jim chuckles a little in the cockpit, but he doesn't hold the grin for long; he glides his hands over the control console and operates the gun turrets. The Spirit Star unleashes its firepower on the enemy as Jim prepares to off-load troops to fight the enemy. The kett suffers tremendous damage as their losses increase more than ever. The ship lands in front of the area and opens its lower half. The fighters from the Spirit Star come out shooting and hammer away at the kett. Despite being at a disadvantage in numbers, the crew make their numbers unless. Johnson and his crew make their way to the next floor of the facility; they rush out the door to see dead kett warriors around the area. Chris looks to see the Spirit Star crew ready for more action as they secure the area. They come over and update them on what they know. Jim includes the progress of the Syndicate and Nexus teams. Before they can decide their next move, a surprise comes to everyone.

High above the planet, two massive ships approach with new orders for everyone. In one ship, it has similar features that make it a super-carrier class. The crew are operating its cannons and preparing to fire them. At the helm, Bynisa stands with her commandos as she watches every asari go about their duty. The ship has five massive cannons on each side with seven medium cannons just above them; the ship can hold ten-thousand people on it and uses two cores to enhance its flight capabilities. The Nexus ship is called: Ancestral Fate. Not too far from them, the second ship is an old kett warship with two large cannons in the front and ten medium cannons on the side. At the command console, Jacob watches his Syndicate operators prep for orbital strikes. The ship holds up to ten thousand but can take on two thousand more for enough help. Near the rear, a large, massive core pushes the ship's power beyond normal. Though originally a kett ship, the Syndicate named it: Inferno Judge.

Jacob presses a button on the command console and announces, "Attention to all surface teams on Habitat Seven. This is Jacob of the Inferno Judge. You have exactly thirty minutes to retreat to a safe distance before the bombardment commences."

Bynisa radios all Nexus personal and broadcasts, "To all the Apex members, this is Bynisa of the Ancestral Fate. You have a thirty-minute window to get away from the kett facility. Failure to do so will result with an unpleasant expiration."

Back on the kett facility, the Spirit Star crew realize how bad this matter is. They only have thirty minutes to finish before the place is destroyed. To Johnson's surprise, Chris comes to him with a plan.

Chris suggests, "Since they are in a hurry, I'll secure the data section and send the rest to the ship. We need everything we can to remember what the kett did."

Before they agree, Laura comes over and suggests, "The data section is important, but we need make sure that we have the technology they keep locked up."

Chris disagrees, "Technology is good to have, but we need the data on what the kett are doing. The gene altering devices are bad, but this is just the beginning."

Laura harshly replies, "Data isn't going to help if we don't use what they have been using on us. I know that their technology will give us a better chance against them."

A. Paragon Choice: We only need one.

B. Neutral Choice: We can do both.

C. Renegade Choice: They are not important.

Johnson replies, "There is no need to disagree. We go for whichever is closer to us."

Chris keeps the data option alive while Laura hopes they go for technology. To everyone's surprise, Jim reports that the kett are gathering at both locations to secure the data and technology. It is now a race to pick one choice over the others. Chris takes a few troops and rushes for the data section. Laura takes more people with her to the technology wing of the facility.

Jim radios Johnson, "Sir, I understand that both are eager to please, but what about the kett coming here. I can slow them down, but you are going to have to pick one.

A. Paragon Option: We will do both.

B. Neutral Option: We will stop the kett.

C. Renegade Option: We won't do anything.

Johnson answers, "I'll need two others to join me. You hold back the kett for as long as it takes."

Jim agrees to the order as Meika and Zor'Kin join Johnson on the ground. The Spirit Star takes off to deal with the kett. Before they can get far, a surprise attack comes to the team as they take cover. Primosas has a group of chosen and organus kett in front of them with fire in his eyes. Like the kett Ascendant, he uses a small device to create an energy shield for himself.

Primosas says, "You made me to bleed and caused me pain. I don't like pain at all, human. I offered you one chance to achieve greatness, but I see that is impossible for your mind to comprehend."

As Primosas floats into the air, his last words to Johnson are simple to understand. Johnson reloads his pistol as Meika and Zor'Kin get ready themselves.

"Prepare yourself for the death you seek."

Two kett organus lead the attack with ten kett chosen, two anointed, one destined, and a kett krogan warrior. Johnson focuses his fire on the kett chosen while Meika uses her biotic powers to throw other kett off the edge. Not too far from them, Zor'Kin uses his technological abilities to create turrets and energy drains the enemy. The fight is intense as the trio dodge and duck for cover; they evade enemy fire as much as they can. Johnson eliminates three more kett chosen as Meika uses her biotic power to create a singularity among the others. As the kett are lifted in the air, Zor'Kin uses his small turrets to burn the enemy. Unable to hold back, Primosas launches himself into action.

The kett leader slams into the ground and uses the energy shield to protect himself. Primosas rushes at his first opponent and brings Johnson down to the next level. The impact is strong and nearly knocks Johnson out; however, he regains his focus and quickly stands up. Primosas comes at Johnson as they engage one another. Johnson is knocked down to the ground, but he surprises Primosas with a hard right to the head. The attack didn't cause a lot of damage, but Primosas slams his fist into Johnson's gut. The excruciating stomach pain nearly makes Johnson fold, but he endures it. Primosas throws him down and begs the human to try again. Johnson stands up and comes At Primosas with another hay maker and follows up with a shot at the body. The bullet tears through the left side of the kett before a second shot comes after; a new hole is made on Primosas at the right shoulder. Johnson ends his attack with a swift kick to the head, forcing Primosas back. Now, Johnson begs Primosas to come and engage him.

Primosas laughs, "You are a fool. This is just the start of what is to come. I leave you this victory for now."

The kett leader leaps off the edge only to float down to his own ship. He takes off and flies away as the kett up top are finished off. Johnson comes up top still feeling the pain he got from Primosas, but things are now worse than ever.

Jim radios to him, "Capt. Johnson. The two large ships are closing in. Your time is almost up and everyone needs to be away from the kett facilities."

A. Paragon Choice: Contant Chris & Laura.

B. Neutral Choice: Move to Laura & Chris.

C. Renegade Choice: Get off the planet.

Johnson calls to Chris, "How are things looking over there for you? Did you get the data?"

Chris answers, "I got the data, but we have too many kett over here holding us up. We won't make it."

Before Johnson can come to him, Laura replies, "You are not alone there. We secured the technology, but now we have more of them trying to kill us."

Johnson doesn't like the idea, but now he comes to a tough decision. Does he secure the technology and rescue Laura, or will he go for the data and save Chris?

Laura shouts, "I can hold them off until I am at a safe location! Go get Chris and get off Habitat Seven now!"

Chris yells, "No need for you to play hero! I'll keep the kett busy while you rescue Laura!"

A. Paragon Choice: Order Laura & Chris to retreat. (Lose the data & technology)

B. Neutral Choice: Go to Laura. (Secure the technology)

C. Renegade Choice: Go to Chris. (Save the data)

Johnson says, "Hold on, Laura. We are coming to get you and we are saving Chris. Both of you leave behind the stuff and make your way to the safest location."

Chris is slightly annoyed and obeys; Laura doesn't understand why, but she accepts the choice. Johnson calls Jim, ordering the pilot to land the Spirit Star at the same location. After they secure the area, Laura is running for her life as she dodges the gun fire from the kett; Meika and Zor'Kin provide her cover while Covina and Groax assist with covering fire for Chris. As Jim turns on the turrets, the team goes back into the ship. The Spirit Star firepower holds the kett back as they try to leave. Once they are aboard the ramp, Jim pulls away as the last warnings come from Jacob and Bynisa. High above their head, the Inferno Judge and Ancestral Fate fly next to the planet. Both ships fire their cannons at the kett facilities, destroying everything they target. Many kett are left behind as they suffer losses from the assault. The Spirit Star flies by the massive ships; the crew inside watch as two large ships reduce three structures to debris and create a bright orange spot on Habitat Seven.

Johnson sighs heavily as he turns from the view to check on Laura and Chris. They both seem ok, but something is wrong with them. He approaches them and asks what is going on.

Chris says, "Why did you make me leave the data behind? That information could've been used by all of us. That was stupid to do, and you know it."

Laura replies, "I agree with Chris. Even if the technology could have been useful for us if I had took it. You forced us to make poor choices."

A. Paragon Interrupt: I gave you both orders.

B. Neutral Interrupt: I ask you to do what's right.

C. Renegade Interrupt: I need you to both stow it.

Johnson firmly answers, "Your life was more important than data and technology. Last, I remember you both ran from the place with kett trying to kill you. Now, fall in and get yourselves ready."

Laura and Chris walk away to their post, but they are highly disappointed in Johnson. Not once did he consider what the future could hold for them if they had one of the opportunities saved. Now, with no technology or data from the kett, everything is over as far as they are concern. Johnson goes to the soldiers as they salute him proudly for making the tough calls, saving lives, and fighting the kett. It has not been an easy journey for them, but they are proud to have him lead. Johnson goes to the communication room and contacts Bynisa and Jacob. They both seem happy.

Bynisa says, "This campaign has been quite a dangerous war, but it is done. The kett are finally dead, but we must finish things up. I hope you are ready to report everything."

Jacob says, "We will recover our army and return to Ditivios to give everyone in Heleus the final news of this matter. We need you to be there also."

A. Paragon Choice: Yes, it is time.

B. Neutral Choice: I'll be there.

C. Renegade Choice: About time.

Johnson replies, "You are both right. We need to tell everyone everything and assure them that this kett problem is under control."

The communication ends, but Johnson receives a surprise from political leader Clark Armstrong.

He takes the call and Clark says, "Johnson, or is it Capt. Johnson? Either way, you did not only make us proud but proved that anything can be done if we work as one. I'll be heading to Ditivios as well to witness the proceedings with the Syndicate and Nexus leaders. Make sure you do everything else or anything else before you come here. You are receiving a hero's welcome, and this is one for the books."

Johnson goes to the front of the ship to join Jim. He finds the pilot in a good mood and reporting the status of everyone. He puts the ship on autopilot mode and turns to his captain.

Jim says, "Well, Capt. This has been one hell of a journey for us. From TOS-51 to Eos to Biloun to Avelosa and to Habitat Seven, we have made this one for history to remember us by. I just want to know how you feel about all of this."

A. Paragon Choice: I feel overwhelmed.

B. Neutral Choice: I am ok.

C. Renegade Choice: This was nothing.

Johnson answers, "This has been one hell of a journey we made. I still can't believe how far I manage to come."

Jim smirks, "At least you obtain the rank of captain, but even if you didn't, it fits you so well. I am hoping for my official rank to be made known all over Heleus with a large party and enough drinks to last until the next morning."

Johnson asks, "Tell me more about yourself."

Jim replies, "Maybe some other time, Captain Johnson. Right now, I want us to get out there and take care of a mission or we go back to Ditivios to finish up a pointless meeting with the leaders."

They go about their duty as Johnson leaves to look for the non-human friends of his. He comes to the area of Meika and sees her looking over the kett technology. She turns to him and smiles at him greatly.

She says, "I am happy that everything is going well and you are safe. I didn't think I would ever be in a gun fight like that. But the mission is over, and we are expected back in Ditivios. What do you think is going to be there?"

A. Paragon Choice: A hero's welcome.

B. Neutral Choice: A simple parade.

C. Renegade Choice: A bar with a lot of alcohol.

Johnson replies, "They will honor us all for the work we did against the kett and make sure we are remembered as heroes of Heleus. There are more tasks to do before we can rest."

Meika says, "I hope we stop somewhere in between all of this to have a drink. I can use one."

Johnson bids farewell to her as he goes to the lower levels to see the rest of the crew. Groax is leaning against the wall; he approaches the krogan to hear his words.

Groax says, "Captain Johnson, this has been fun for me. I'm glad I came along with you for this. Killing the kett and fighting against other bad guys have made this worth it. Now, when I return to Elaaden, I'll be more than just a krogan with battle scars."

A. Paragon Choice: I'm glad to have you here.

B. Neutral Choice: Be sure to include me in your stories.

C. Renegade Choice: You are just another krogan.

Johnson replies, "I'am glad you did decide to come with us. Your help has been immeasurable against the kett. And remember, we have one more fight left to deal with."

Groax slams his fits together, "Oh yeah. And I will be ready for it. Lead the way, Johnson."

Johnson comes to Covina as she seems deep in thought. She looks up at him with some curiosity.

She says, "I didn't expect none of this to happen to me at all. I left Apex to be on something great, and now, I don't know if I should return given everything that is going on. I'm lost on what I should do next."

A. Paragon Choice: You know what is best.

B. Neutral Choice: Stay with the Apex teams.

C. Renegade Choice: The Enforcers sound nice.

Johnson answers, "I can't tell you what is best, but you know where you want to be at. I'll be there to support you."

Covina lowers her head, "Johnson, I don't know what to say…Thanks for showing me that there is a better way."

In the back of the ship, he studies the data on the kett. Like before, it comes to him with ease and nothing holds a secret from him. Ever since his people came to Heleus, they have studied kett technology to the fullest of their abilities and made a home for themselves. Zor'Kin loses his mind and looks over the information too much before hearing Johnson calls him.

Zor'Kin turns to him, "Johnson, this information has been great. I know this is going to be sent off, but I would like these details sent to my people as well. We may be able to make it effective for us, but useless for the kett to use."

A. Paragon Choice: Go ahead and do it.

B. Neutral Choice: Get a copy from Nexus authority.

C. Renegade Choice: Let the Syndicate Warlords give you one.

Johnson says, "Sure, you can get a copy of this."

Zor'Kin copies all the data from the ship and forwards it to the fleet. He says, "I can't thank you enough for what you did for me and every quarian of the fleet. I won't ever forget this."

Johnson leaves his quarian ally to stay busy; he returns to the map of Heleus and looks to where else they can do to aid. The journey is still on going for them and morale is high. All Johnson can do is think about how far they came and what else they need to do. He orders Jim to fly them into the Ratul system; Jim happily flies them there and arrives within one jump only to pick up a transmission from the surface of Kizrata. Two hundred years ago, this planet was completely unsafe for any to land on. Now, the soil produces iron and some helium for those that need to stock up. As they fly to the planet, they receive a message.

It broadcasts: "Help! Please help! We need assistance! Our facility is overrun and we can't take off! Someone, please come and aid us!"

Johnson, Zor'Kin, and Covina load up on ammo; they climb aboard the nomad they recover from Avelosa. Jim flies through the atmosphere of Kizrata and finds a planet covered with dark skies. Covina operates the nomad with Zor'Kin checking ammo and Johnson looks over the weapons. The Spirit Star flies over the open space and drops the nomad out. Covina locks in on the transmission and drives to the location. The drive is easy with a few rocky moments, but they arrive to see a small cottage. They step out of the nomad fully covered in their suits; it is quiet here, but they keep hearing the broadcast going. Johnson steps into the first cottage and finds nothing. Covina checks another and discovers some supplies. The last building Zor'Kin searches and locates a door; he calls the others as they see what the door opens to.

They see a long shaft going down into the planet. The weapons come out as they lock in a fresh clip. They journey down into the shaft as the broadcast is louder than ever. After walking down, they come to another door. The trio step inside and see nothing but empty containment rooms. They advance slowly and move around the crates until the growling starts. Johnson moves forward and checks the corners; there is more than just a growl down here. Zor'Kin looks around the crate and sees something move. Covina checks it out only to be tackled by a red humanoid monster. Johnson comes to her aid and shoots it head off.

The single sound from his handgun forces several red monsters to stand and move in their direction. They all back up and blast at the monsters. The kill the first room of them, but they hear more growls. As they advance into the next room, they see more monsters and put them down. The creatures die easily, but what kind of place is this. Johnson and his team come to the main control room and discover a few scientists. They lower their weapons as they question them about what is going on.

The lead scientist says, "Oh, thank God you all showed up. We didn't know how long this was going to take."

A. Paragon Choice: What is going on?

B. Neutral Choice: What is this?

C. Renegade Choice: What kind of operation is this?

Johnson asks, "What were those things, and who are you?"

The woman replies, "My name is Sarena. This is my team, and we work for the Nexus authority."

Covina steps to her and taps her I.D. card, "You are lying. You know how I know you're lying? I've seen the badges for Nexus scientists, doctors, and nurses. You're wearing a fake one. Now, I'm going to say it once. Who do you work for, and what do you do here?"

The woman drops the victim stunt; she professionally replies, "You're right. I am not a scientist for Nexus, and we are damn sure are not working for the Syndicate. My real name is Angelina; we work for the Chimera Organization. The subjects here got free from containment and killed most of the staff. We managed to lock the door to this room and sent out a message to anyone, hoping they would come by. I'm glad you came here."

A. Paragon Choice: What is Chimera?

B. Neutral Choice: You don't work with others?

C. Renegade Choice: I need real answers.

Johnson asks, "What is the Chimera Organization? I never heard of your business."

Angelina answers, "Our goal is to make Heleus not only a better galaxy, but to enhance all species beyond their limits. We were trying to test some regular creatures here that we all encountered out in the wilderness, but there was a system failure. Now, we need to report this to General Thad on Eos. He is expecting us."

Zor'Kin nervously replies, "I don't like this. The organization sounds like the kett."

Angelina sarcastically laughs, "Unlike the kett, we want people and others to maintain their original appearance, not change. This facility was meant to test out and change the muscle mass in any species we…"

A. Paragon Interrupt: Leave now.

B. Neutral Interrupt: Are you insane?

C. Renegade Interrupt: Time to kill. (Kill the scientists)

Johnson aims his gun at them, "I'm going to say this once to you. Leave now and stop this madness."

Angelina waves her hand to her staff to leave, but she says, "This isn't over. I will make sure my superior hears about you."

After everyone else leaves, Johnson and his team collect any data from the computer and transfer the information to the ship. The Chimera Organization didn't seem like a normal company, but Johnson becomes curious about it. The team leaves the facility and gets back into the nomad; Jim flies the Spirit Star to the surface and picks them up. Upon exiting the nomad, Johnson goes to his private quarters and looks up the organization. Nothing about them comes up in any form. It is as if they are chasing a phantom across the service net. Johnson remembers that the group had to report to a general Thad on Eos. The next plan for the Spirit Star crew is to go see a general.

Jim jumps the ship from the Ratul system to the Pytheas system. Johnson is curious to hear all that General Thad knows of the Chimera Organization. The Spirit Star lands in the landing zone of Prodromos. It didn't take long for him to come across Wagner again. Johnson asks him where he can find a man named Thad and gets directed to his own home, Advent Nation. Johnson takes Meika and Groax with him to search for General Thad; he is anxious to find Thad, but he would like to see his parents. As the shuttle flies through the blue sky, Johnson remembers how wonderful the Sovereign Nation Advent is and how it grew. From a small settlement of a few tall buildings and houses, the place becomes a real city with more than enough resources. Although the Nexus council demands that the sovereign nation be a city for their government, the firm and stubborn ways of Advent's leadership convinced them to back off. Even the Syndicate tried to move in on Advent, but they were rejected by words and reason.

Johnson looks out the window at his home and smiles at how powerful it has become. This is a place that didn't allow bigotry, tyrants, corruption, nor selfishness to rule here. As one leader told the Nexus council over ten years ago:

"You claim your ways are better than the Citadel Council of the Milky Way, and all I see are people who get to decide which ones deserve the rewards. You swear that you are nothing like the Syndicate, but I see two sides of the coin. Advent is a sovereign nation because people chose something else than go backwards. In our nation, we are free and remember our history. You may keep your worlds, keep your lands, and keep your place of power; however, if you step to Advent, then we shall open our arms to you before we strike you."

The message did have a bitter taste in the mouth of the Nexus leadership, but they promised that Advent will never receive any support if problems arise. The Advent leaders had no problem with it. This over was ten years ago that the Nexus was denied to add Advent to their territory. On the other hand, the Syndicate tried a bold approach with power being their way. That is when another leader of Advent told them one message that was straight to the point. It read:

"You dare step to us and try to force your rule on people that come from your stock? After all the years of war with the Nexus government, you refuse to see the error of your ways. You are just as cruel as the turians were when they released the genophage on the krogan. You are vile as the humans and turians were when first contact happened. And now, you are twisted as the kett were when they contacted the angara. Advent won't stand for this; you need to remember that you are no different than the Nexus. Stay away from our home. Go back to your planets and continue your ruling style. We desire no help from warlords that see only profit in their occupation. The Sovereign Nation Advent stands alone against those that take like they do with everything within reach."

As the shuttle lands, Johnson is ready to step out first to see the people happy. Upon coming out, he smiles at his home with pride and no longer has any doubt. He is ready to find general Thad and ask him questions. Before he can get far, he sees a man of military appearance talking to the security. The man makes it obvious when he shouts at them.

He says, "I am General Thad of the Nexus military. I need to get to my ship and time is important."

A turian security agent replies, "You will wait until we clear your shuttle for launch. The raiders are acting up, and we can't afford to see any shuttles go down."

Johnson, Meika, and Groax come over to speak with him. Gen. Thad turns to them with a firm yet irritated look.

A. Paragon Choice: Hello, Gen. Thad.

B. Neutral Choice: Hi sir.

C. Renegade Choice: Greetings, dipshit.

Johnson says, "Hello to you, general Thad. I have something I would like to ask you."

General Thad asks, "What the hell do you want, sir? I have other pressing matters to attend to than answer questions from a nobody."

Groax chuckles, "I think you want to tone your attitude down before I headbutt you."

Meika steps back, "I will wait further back here in case you need me."

A. Paragon Choice: It is about the Chimera Organization.

B. Neutral Choice: This won't take too long.
