(Two months later)
The next morning, Hana was cooking breakfast for the family while Mizuki went out to the store to get food for dinner. She decided to take a break from hunting since prey was scarce in the city.
While she was out, Yuki was demanding food while Hana was cooking. "Food now!" the toddler exclaimed, fists clenched. "It's almost done, Yuki. Just be patient," Hana said.
"Food now!" Yuki repeated. "Look, I'm sorry, but-" Hana started. "Food now!" Yuki shouted, turning to her wolf form.
"Yuki-" Hana said, her tone hard. Yuki finally was able to change to her wolf form or rather her half-wolf form. She had darker brown fur and her wolf ears popped out of her hair, even having a small tail.
Yuki galloped on all fours to the corner of the living room, knocking over a small trash can. Hana heard this and she looked over her shoulder, not wanting another Okami and Mizuki. "Okay, forget patience. You can have one biscuit, okay?" she said, giving in with an eye roll.
Yuki galloped over to her mother like an excited dog, and turned back into a human, taking hold of the biscuit with a giggle.
Hana smiled, seeing that her daughter was adorable in her wolf form, despite her being grouchy. Shortly after this happened, Mizuki came through the door with two bags of groceries.
Mizuki saw Yuki munching on a biscuit. "Okay, did something happen while I was gone?" she asked, instantly suspecting something. She set the groceries on the counter.
"Your grumpy niece and my grumpy daughter just turned into a wolf," Hana answered, smiling at her.
"Oh, I see. Okami and I didn't turn until we were three years old. Guess we were off by a year," Mizuki replied, picking up her niece, letting her sit on her hip.
"G'umpy?" Yuki asked, confused by what grumpy means. The two women smiled at her.
(At Dinner)
Hana had made dinner for the family, but Mizuki wasn't hungry as much. Yuki noticed this and tried offering some of her food to her aunt.
"A'nt Mi'uki, eat?" she asked. Mizuki was warmed by what her niece was doing. "Aw, thanks, hon. But I already ate something. You need it more than I do," Mizuki declined.
"You're right about that. *Notices Yuki's bowl was flipped over* Yuki, don't do that with your bowl! You have a spoon to use," Hana added, making the child frown.
"Sorry..." she said. "Listen to your mother, Yuki. She knows what's best. I can't recall how many times she's gotten onto me and your dad like that," Mizuki said, putting a hand on Yuki's head and ruffled her hair.
Yuki smiled at this. "Ok'y!" she giggled. Mizuki was the same way as her young niece when she was her age. She learned to straighten up as she and her brother.
"This ish fun!" Yuki said excitedly. Since she was only two years old, she didnt understand manners just yet.
"Go ahead and eat, hon. You'll be a strong wolf like your aunt here," Mizuki said with a smile.
Yuki giggled and started eating her food. "Me stwong!" Yuki shouted happily.
Over the next few months, they've had some incidents with the oldest wolf child.
One time, Yuki nearly pulled a bottle off of the table, pulling on the table cloth. Hana was cooking while this was happening.
Mizuki quickly grabbed the bottle before it could fallon Yuki. "Yuki..." she said with a sigh. While Mizuki was at her job, which was at a grocery store, Yuki had climbed up a dresser and almost made the whole thing fall right on her.
It was becoming a daily occurance in their household.
Wolves are people. They didn't know how to be either yet. Mizuki sat in front of her niece and nephew, who she was watching while Hana was at work.
"Okay, you can change to a wolf whenever you want to like I can," Mizuki said. Yuki laughed, and shook her head. Yuki turned into a wolf when she did that. Though, in her half-wolf form, her hair turned more red and her ears popped out of her head Ame looked at her curiously and tried grabbing her ears.
But he fell over, catching Yuki's attention. Ame shook his head, turning to his half-wolf side as well. His hair turned a lighter blue and his small ears popped out, having the same marking as Mizuki's. They had small wolf muzzles and paws. "Like dis, Au't 'zuki?" the small wolf child asked, looking at Mizuki.
Mizuki laid in her full wolf form, laying like a sphynx with her front paws out in front of her. Her light blue hair dangled over her light green eyes. Her ears were pointed forward and she smiled brightly at her curious niece. Ame just blinked when he changed for the first time, which shocked the grown wolf shifter.
Yuki smiled at her little brother, sniffing his new scent that he carried. Ame reciprocated the gesture, as if they were doing this instinctively. 'Ame isn't seven months old yet… I didn't first turn until I was two years old. Ookami was three when he turned,' Mizuki thought, unfazed. She sat in her human form again, smiling down at her niece and nephew.
Yuki changed into her full wolf form, losing the clothes she wore. Her fur was a tad bit longer on her chest and her tail was small. "Chu change swowly, Au't 'zuki!" Yuki giggled. "Well, I'm a grown-up. It isn't easy for me to change fast like you and Ame. Even your daddy was one of us," Mizuki told her, now back in her full wolf form.
"He was?" Yuki cheered, wagging her tail. "Yeah, he looks a lot like your little brother," Mizuki said, letting Ame sniff her fur curiously, "You two are wolf pups. I'm a grown wolf," "Stay like this more!" Yuki yipped. Mizuki had always kept her wolf side hidden from regular humans. She looked away with a hesitant look in her eyes, her ears dropped.

Later on, Mizuki had to go back to her own job, meaning she had to hide her wolf side. Hana was back at the small apartment with Yuki and Ame. She was busy with doing laundry in the bathtub. It wasn't her favorite chore but it needed to be done. The grease stains on them were hard to wash off, probably the hardest to get off. Of course, running hot water over the stains helped somewhat, but she didn't have it on all the way.
While this was happening, Yuki was in her full wolf form, chewing everything up in her and Ame's play room. Ame was on his front, also in his wolf form, watching his sister do this. When Hana returned, she gasped when she saw the big mess that was inside the playroom.
Yuki simply sat in the middle of the mess, still in her wolf form. Wolf-Ame was still laying on the floor, just watching what was happening. "You gotta be kidding me…" Hana sighed, seeing how big the mess was. Yuki sweetly yawned, indicating that she was tired. Their sleep schedule was a bit off.
Then, Mizuki came into the apartment, locking the door behind her. "Hana, I'm ho-" she started but stopped when she saw the mess in the other room. "Oh, no, what happened?" she asked. "Ask your niece," Hana said. Mizuki looked over into the room, seeing Yuki sleeping in her full wolf form, curled up into a ball. "Wow… this is a big mess," Mizuki said, "And she's your daughter,"
Hana smiled a bit before yawning, showing how tired she was. "Hana, why don't you go get some sleep? I can take over from here," Mizuki told her, putting a hand on her shoulder. "But I can't leave it like this," Hana said stubbornly. "Hana, I got this. You need to sleep. I can watch them and clean up. We need to have a discussion when you do wake up though. It's about the well-being of Yuki and Ame," Mizuki said seriously, seeing that their wolf nature is slowly starting to come out.
Hana hugged her sister-in-law, lasting about five seconds. Afterwards, Hana went to go lay down while Mizuki cleaned up the playroom.
Sorry for not getting back to this sooner. A lot of things in my life happened. But I will do my very best to continue this. Thank you for reading.
