Kim Possible: A New Sitch

Chapter 10: The Night Before The Wedding

Kim and Ron are sitting together on the bed they were sharing, eagerly anticipating the day when they'd become husband and wife.

Kim nestled into Ron's side, her head resting against his shoulder as they sat together on their bed. Outside, the world was quiet, as if even Middleton itself knew that tomorrow was a day unlike any other… a day that would change their lives forever.

"You know," Ron mused. "I always knew we'd end up here. Maybe not, like, exactly here, but… you get what I mean."

Kim chuckled, tilting her head up to meet his gaze. "You always knew? That's a bold claim, Ronnie."

"Well, I mean, sure! For a while, I always considered you to be nothing more than just my friend. But deep down… Yeah. It was always you, KP." His voice softened as he spoke, sincerity shining through his usual playful tone. "The person I always knew I'd be spending my entire life with."

Kim sighed contentedly and squeezed his hand. "I still can't believe tomorrow is finally here. After everything, missions, school, crazy villains, and, oh yeah, saving the world a few times, we actually made it."

Ron grinned. "Yeah, and despite all that, the scariest thing I've ever done is write my wedding vows."

Kim laughed, shaking her head. "Ron, you fought giant robots, evil monkeys, and nine-foot-tall aliens. And wedding vows are what intimidate you?"

He rubbed the back of his neck. "Hey, it's a big deal! I want to get it just right. You deserve the best."

Kim's heart swelled. She leaned up, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "You already give me the best, Ronnie. Every day."

Ron smiled at her, warmth and love evident in his eyes. "You know I love you, right?"

Kim placed her hand over his. "I know." She smiled, her voice filled with emotion. "And I love you too."

Their eyes met, a silent understanding passing between them. No matter what challenges lay ahead, they'd face them together. Slowly, they leaned in, their lips meeting in a tender, heartfelt kiss… one filled with love, promise, and the excitement of forever.

As they pulled away, Ron smirked. "So, think it's too late to elope?"

Kim laughed, playfully nudging him. "Nice try, Ronnie. You're not getting out of the big day that easily."

"Worth a shot," he said with a wink. Then, wrapping his arms around her, he whispered, "Tomorrow's gonna be the best day ever."

Kim smiled, resting her head against his chest. "Yeah. It really is."

The soft hum of an approaching car rumbled outside the Possible household, followed by the familiar crunch of tires on the driveway. Inside, James and Ann Possible exchanged knowing glances before heading for the front door.

"Sounds like Slim's here," James remarked, adjusting his glasses.

Ann smiled as she pulled open the door, revealing Kim's Uncle Slim, who wore a cowboy hat, stepping out of the truck, his ever-present grin already in place. Beside him, his daughter, Joss who had her red hair styled in a ponytail and was also wearing a cowboy hat and a tan vest hopped out, her eyes wide with excitement.

"Boy, howdy! We made it!" Joss Possible cheered, adjusting her belt and tipping her hat back. "I told ya we'd beat the sun settin'!"

Slim chuckled. "Well, Joss, I reckon we made good time. Ain't every day you get to see yer kin tie the knot."

He turned to James and Ann, tipping his hat. "Howdy, folks! Hope we ain't too early."

"Nonsense, Slim, you're right on time," Ann assured him as she stepped forward to give him a quick hug. "And Joss, it's wonderful to see you again."

Joss grinned ear to ear. "Aw, shucks, Aunt Ann, it's great to see y'all too! I been lookin' forward to this weddin' ever since Kim told me! I mean, shoot, Kim an' Ron gettin' hitched? If that ain't the best news since the Lorwardians high-tailed it outta here, I dunno what is!"

James chuckled, stepping aside. "Come on in, you two."

James and Ann ushered Slim and Joss inside.

"Kimmie and Ronald should be down any minute," James mentioned.

As if on cue, footsteps sounded from the staircase. Kim and Ron descended together, hand in hand. Kim was dressed casually, her hair pulled into a loose ponytail, while Ron sported his usual relaxed look. The moment Joss spotted them, her face lit up.

"Cousin Kim! Ron!" she hollered, rushing forward before wrapping Kim in a tight hug. "Boy, howdy, y'all look happier than a prairie dog in a sunflower patch!"

Kim laughed, hugging Joss back. "Good to see you too, Joss. Nice hat, by the way."

"Thanks... new look," Joss said with a giggle.

When Joss pulled back, she turned to Ron, giving him an approving nod.

"Well, if it ain't the big hero himself! Ain't every fella that can save the world from them varmint aliens an' still win my cousin's heart," She jabbed a thumb at him, winking. "You done real good, Ron."

Ron puffed out his chest playfully. "Well, you know, saving the world and winning hearts… it's all in a day's work."

"But you know, Joss," Kim spoke up. "Ron always had my heart since the Diablo sitch."

"Ya mean when Dr Drakken tricked ya into falling in love with that freaky synthodrone varmint just to distract ya from discoverin' his diablo scheme? Then Ron confessed his feelings for ya to bring yer spirits up? Then after ya foiled Drakken's plot, yall went to the prom together and shared a dance while smoochin' it up? Yeah, I know all about that!" Joss said vibrantly.

Kim had a blank look on her face and chuckled, "Hehe, good to know."

Joss giggled. "I knew y'all'd end up together since the last time I saw ya! Just took ya long enough."

Kim smirked. "Tell me about it."

Slim stepped up next, patting Kim on the shoulder. "Well now, I gotta say, darlin', I'm real proud of ya. You always did have that Possible spirit, takin' on big adventures and all. But this one here?" He glanced at Ron. "This one's gonna be the greatest yet."

Ron gulped. "Y-you mean marriage, right? Not, like, fightin' off evil or savin' the universe again?"

Slim laughed. "Oh, don't you worry, son. You already done all that. This one's just about stickin' by each other through thick an' thin."

Kim squeezed Ron's hand and smiled at him. "Sounds like a mission I can handle."

Ron grinned. "Long as we're doin' it together."

Joss clapped her hands. "Well, shoot, I can't wait for tomorrow! This weddin' is gonna be one for the history books!"

Kim laughed. "Let's just hope nothing crazy happens before then."

Ron gave a nervous chuckle. "KP, why would you say that out loud?"

Everyone shared a laugh before James gestured to the kitchen.

"Well, come on everyone, time to eat," James said before everyone headed to the kitchen ready to enjoy the last night before the big day.

As everyone settled around the dinner table, the warmth of family and love filled the room. The table was set with a spread of delicious home-cooked meals, courtesy of Ann Possible, who had gone all out for the special occasion.

"So, Ron," Slim began, reaching for a bowl of mashed potatoes. "Ya got any pre-weddin' jitters?"

Ron, in the middle of stuffing his face with a forkful of macaroni and cheese, nearly choked before gulping it down. "Me? Pfft, nah. I mean, yeah, it's a big deal, but I'm just excited, you know? I get to marry KP! That's, like, the best thing ever."

Kim smiled, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze under the table. "Glad to hear it, because backing out now isn't an option, Ronnie."

Joss grinned. "Ain't no way he's backin' out! He's got more guts than a bull rider at the county fair. If he can help ya take on Shego an' Drakken and rescue ya from those aliens varmints, he can handle a weddin'!"

James chuckled, adjusting his glasses. "Well, as Kim's father, I wouldn't say 'handling a wedding' is quite the same as dealing with supervillains. Though, I suppose in this family, we do things a little differently."

"Still," Ann added, passing a dish of roasted vegetables, "marriage is an adventure all on its own. It takes effort, compromise, and, most importantly, trust."

Ron nodded, suddenly serious. "I get that, Mrs. Dr. P. And I know it won't always be easy, but I'm ready. Kim's my best friend. We've been through everything together, and no matter what, I want to keep going through life with her."

Kim felt her heart swell at his words. "You always know just what to say, Ron."

Slim chuckled. "Well, I'll be darned. Y'all are makin' an old cowboy like me all sentimental."

Joss leaned forward, eager to change the mood. "So, Kim, you got any fancy moves planned for the first dance? I bet ya could throw in a backflip or somethin' cool!"

Kim laughed. "Joss, I think we'll be keeping it traditional… mostly."

Ron leaned back, tapping his chin. "Though, now that you mention it, a surprise dance-off would be pretty epic…"

"Ron," Kim warned playfully, shaking her head.

"Okay, okay," he relented. "But if someone challenges me on the dance floor, I won't back down."

Joss smirked. "Now that I gotta see."

The conversation continued with laughter and shared stories, filling the night with joy. Tales of past missions, embarrassing childhood memories, and teasing remarks about Kim and Ron's long-awaited romance kept the atmosphere lighthearted.

As the evening wound down, James raised his glass of sparkling cider. "To Kim and Ron. May your future be filled with happiness, adventure, and, knowing you two, just a little bit of danger."

"To Kim and Ron!" everyone echoed, clinking their glasses together.

Kim and Ron exchanged a loving glance before taking a sip of their drinks, knowing that tomorrow, their greatest adventure yet would finally begin.

Meanwhile, in Senior's lair on the island, Bonnie Rockwaller stood staring out a window, wearing a gold tiara and a black dress. Her mind was consumed with thoughts of revenge, not just on Kim and Ron, but on all her former cheer squad mates who had abandoned her for Kim. Tomorrow would mark the day she made her grand debut as a supervillain. The first phase of her plan would unfold at Kim and Ron's wedding, and after that, she'd lure them both into a trap.

Bonnie heard footsteps and turned to see Junior entering the room.

"Ah, Junior…" Bonnie said, her eyes gleaming with anticipation. "Is everything ready for our grand scheme?"

"Indeed, it is, my love," Junior responded, a confident smirk on his face. "We'll be ready to deploy the BDBs as soon as it's time."

"Excellent," Bonnie replied with a wicked grin. She turned back to the window, her voice taking on a darker tone. "Kim thinks she and that loser, Stoppable, are about to have their happy ending. But soon, those two losers, and all the traitors like Tara and Hope, will see who's really at the top of the food chain. Soon, the entire world will bow before me, Queen Bonnie."

Bonnie raised her hands, laughing evilly as the final pieces of her plan began to fall into place.
