Notes: i know this is a weird ship but I've had this story in my mind for about 3 weeks now and needed to get it out. Also, it's probably good to mention this takes place straight after the Black and White anime with ash taking a longer break between bw and xy than the anime.

The blazing rays of warmth shone down on the large coastal city of Lilycove. Located in the northeastern part of the Hoenn region, Lilycove City is the number 1 tourist spot in the region due to its azure-coloured sky above the beautiful coastlines and golden beaches. Not to mention the centre of activity, which includes the renowned Lilycove Museum and its numerous shopping centres with a wide variety of items. But one structure—the Lilycove Contest Hall—stands out from the others.

The large Contest Hall was a sight to behold, vibrant designs and distinctive shapes helping the building pop amongst the others. With its large navy ribbon and emerald accents attracting any passersby. Today though, large amount of people were surrounding the enormous hall, all due to one certain Top Contest Idol.

Inside the hall a voice boomed from the speakers. "Finally...for our last contestant...we present the Contest Idol who's made waves in Hoenn's Contest circuit…it's Lisia!"

A hole appeared in the stage as the announcer concluded, allowing the platform to be raised. Revealing a fifteen-year-old girl with turquoise hair and two large bangs clipped with a tiara.

She dons a sleeveless blue top which exposes her midriff, with a blue-ribbon design. As well as white shorts laced with two enormous blue and white frills that resemble a skirt.

Her light blue high-heeled shoes were adorned with diamond-shaped anklets, and a white and blue stocking was worn on her left leg.

Finally, she had cotton puffs on her forearms, the back of her neck and above her shoes. Matching the Altaria next to her, who also had a diamond design ribbon. A bright smile plastered on as she happily waved towards the audience.

"It's dazzling, dizzying!" She exclaimed, as she twirled on her heel. "Welcome to the spectacular Lisia's performance!"

Noises increased as she said this; the audience's deafening cheers echoed throughout the hall.

"Ali now. Start things off with mist!"

A sparkling mixture of purple and cyan-coloured particles covered the hall with the Altatia (named Ali) gracefully twirling in the centre. The mist spread through the awestruck audience.

"Use Draco Meteor!" A large purple ball shot to the top of the stage, splitting into smaller orbs that sparkled as they showered the stage. Creating a dazzling effect.

"And... finished!"

The crowd cheers somehow rose even further as the performance started to settle down. A satisfied smile beamed from Lisia.

While the Contest was going on, a certain raven-haired trainer was wandering around Lilycove City...

-Flashback-

Following the Unova League, Alexa invited Ash to her home region, Kalos. However, unlike his usual routine of immediately setting off to a new region, he decided to decline the offer. Claiming he wanted to be in tip-top shape before his next journey. This eventually led to Professor Oak suggesting travelling back to a region he's already been.

A few hours pass by as Ash frowned, clearly deep in thought. He muttered, "Hmm... I mean, we can go to Sinnoh... no still pretty recent...not Kanto because we've travelled through it twice already...maybe Johto?"

He looked up and asked his best friend, "What do you think, Pikachu?"

Pikachu gave him an exasperated look; he's been walking around the lab for hours. The Pokémon waved his stubby, little arms as he scolded. "Pikapi pika pi pika!" With a glare that could put a Gyarados to shame, clearly annoyed at his trainer's indecisiveness. His red cheeks started to sparkle with electricity, threatening to release.

Ash, however, was too deep in trance to even spare a glance; he continued to pace back and forth, muttering about which region he should travel to.

This was not a smart move...

As immediately after, a bright, yellow-colored lightning bolt erupted from the mouse headed for his trainer, illuminating the lab with a brilliant flash. With the light beginning to fade, Ash was seen on the floor, looking bewildered, hair sticking up with charred edges, his clothes not doing much better and sparks flying from him. Quickly recovering, he sprang up and screamed. "What was that for?!" at Pikachu.

"Pika-pi pika-chu." Pikachu replied with a huff. Which translated to (" you ingnored me, you've been doing this for hours.)

"Pikachu's got a point there, Ash." Professor Oak said with a smile as he walked on the scene, clearly amused at the duo. " Might I ask what you're thinking about?" He added.

" I just don't know which region i should travel again." responded ash with an annoyed expression. Who thought choosing something would be this hard!

Professor Oak thought hard. His hand rubbing his chin as he asked, " Can i make a suggestion?"

"Go ahead; it wasn't like I was making any progress," Ash replied.

"Hoenn", the Kanto Professor stated with zero hesitation, taking both Ash and Pikachu by surprise. Their face of suprise turned into confusion, "Why Hoenn of all regions?" Ash asked.

It's been a while since your last visit," Professor Oak responded. "And when was the last time you met up with either May or Max?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. Knowing how rarely Ash contacts his friends.

"Well, I haven't seen Max in person since our journey," replied Ash sheepishly while rubbing his nape. "Oh! But I meet up with May in Sinnoh!"

Professor Oak sent a deadpan look. "Ash, it's been over a year since you left Sinnoh and you've already travelled through another region."

"Well, it's hard to get in touch!" Ash defended, pouting while crossing his arms. The professor didn't look convinced. He knew that even though Ash was always off on a journey, he could always just call when he was at a Poké Centre. Pikachu just looked at him with an judgemental stare.

Deciding to get back on topic, Professor Oak asked, "Anyway, what do you think?"

"Hmm..." After a couple seconds, Ash cracked a grin and gave Professor Oak a thumbs up. Exclaiming loudly, "Sure! I can't wait to visit Hoenn again, right Pikachu?"

" Pika-chu!" agreed Pikachu as he mirrored the actions of his trainer, giving his own thumbs up.

Professor Oak gave a bright smile towards the duo; Heart warmed at the sight of Ash and Pikachu. "Those two really are something else," he thought. The bond between Trainer truly is intriguing, one of the many reasons why he's dedicated his life to the subject of Pokémon.

Ash and Pikachu were strolling down the crowded streets, enjoying the abundance of shops and marketplaces. It has been two days since Ash arrived in Hoenn. Now at Lilycove City, he decided to spend the remainder of the day exploring.

"WOW, this city has everything!" Ash gushed as he admired his surroundings, his brown eyes wide with astonishment. "Why didn't we come here last time?" He questioned his yellow partner.

"Pi pika kachu pika chu," responded, which translated to (because this place doesn't have a Gym Leader.)

"What does that ha—wait... Oh, that makes a lot of sense." Ash commented sheepishly, 'admitting how league-centric his travels were. After walking for another 30 minutes, he noticed what appears to be a large contest hall.

"Pikapi?" Pikachu squeaked out as he gestured towards the front with his little hands.

"What's up?" Ash enquired as his gaze shifted to what Pikachu was pointing to. He turned to face a massive audience; in front of the crowd was a turquoise-haired girl with an Altaria gently next to her. .

"Hiii, everybody!" The girl sang. with a bright smile, she greeting the crowd. A loud resounding cheer came from the fans as they began to chant her name.

" Wow she sure seems popular..." Ash sweatdrop, taken aback by enthusiastic crowd. " Pi..." Pikachu agreed, with the same reaction as his trainer.

"Welcome to another episode of Lisia Miraculous scouting!"

Immediately, the crowd bursted into applause with many continuing chanting. Lisia smile grew. She didn't mind the attention, in fact she loved it. It's one of the main reasons she did contests. However the true reason was just that Contest were fun.

"Alright, today! I'm going to bring another fantastic Trainer into the world of Contesting!"

"Now... Let's see..." Eyes lightened up as Lisia scanned the crowd. Eyes roaming until it stopped at one person.

The Boy looked roughly the same age as her, his skin was a slightly tanned. He rocked a Red pokeball cap covered his unruly raven-hair , Zigzags marks underneath his Pure brown eyes, currently filled with curiosity. Wearing a sleeveless ,dark-blue jacket with white accents on the sleeves and near the zips. He wore Fingerless gloves and plain grey trousers ( His Kalos outfit).

On his shoulder sat the electric mouse Pokémon with a similar expression on his face, it's Fluffy red cheeks and Cute eyes made it look absolutely adorable. Surprisingly it rested on his shoulder, "That's got to be the cutest Pikachu I've ever seen." She thought.

"You! with the red cap and the pikachu!" She loudly declared.

Ash stared blankly, making no movement. Only snapping out of it when Pikachu yelled " PIKA?!" jaw dropping to the floor.

"WAIT ME?!" He followed pointing at himself, his brain finally processong what just transpired. Eyes buldged out of his head, his jaw also dropping.

She moved towards the boy with the crowd simultaneously surrounding both of them.

Responding with "Yep." Purposely pronouncing the p, " What's you're name?" She added.

Regaining his composure somewhat, he answered with hesitation," er it's Ash."

"Well Ash nice to meet you! I'm Lisia!" She cheerfully greeted. " So Ash, Have you completed in a Contest Before?

" I have once or twice before, but haven't entered any recently." He replied, his mind going back to the Wallace Cup and the Contest festival in Kanto.

Lisia slightly frowned at the response, "Oh " She thought,

a bit disappointed that she scouted someone who has competed. But then almost instantly disappeared as she came up with an idea, her eyes immediately brightened up.

Cheerfully the idol suggested," How about you enter the next one!"

Ash was a bit confused with this suggestion. "Um no thanks. i'm more into battling and the Pokémon league than coordinating." He politely declined.

Nonetheless Lisia continued to push on the idea, her smile never wavering.

" Well lucky for you, there's a battling round for Contests! Besides you don't have to win, you can do it just for the sake of having fun!"

"Ermm... i don't know it seems kinda sudden" Ash responded .

"Well, you have plenty of time because the next Contest is in a week and will be held in Petalburg City! Lisia added.

Ash sweatdrops at Lisia's persistence." She does makes a valid point though; I've always joined because my friends did. "and I didn't care if I won or not." Ash reflected.

"Not to mention that it was a lot of fun!"... "But... i came here to prepare for my journey in Kalos..."

Lisia slightly leaned forward, eyes gleaming, and asked, "Sooo, how about it?" Eagerly awaiting an answer.

Ash thought for a couple moments, his hand on his chin. Then turned to his most trusted partner asking," What do you think buddy?"

Pikachu mimicked his trainer's pose, looking up into the sky with his small paw on his chin. Clearly deep in thinking.

"Sooo cute!" Lisia squealed in her head, trying her utmost not to literally do it.

Unlike his trainer though, the Pokémon instantly came up with a response.

" Pikachu!" He squeaked instantly, giving a thumbs up at Ash. Signalling a resounding yes.

"Well if Pikachu wants to, who am i object?" Ash said happily. with a grin he answered, "I'll do it!"

With a lively expression, Lisia Excitingly exclaimed "Perfect!

"Here's a Contest pass and a Pokeblock kit!" Basically thrusting the items into Ash's hands.

Ash taken aback by Lisia basically shoving the item at him, responded with, "Umm Thanks..."

"Well i have to go now, hopefully the next time we met it would be on a stage!" Lisia said, then with a coy smirk she added playfully," After all you agreed~." giving the raven- haired trainer a wink.

"No problem! I won't let you down!" Ash loudly declared with a wide, toothy smile while giving her a thumbs up.

Lisia was surprised at this, his eyes burned full of determination.

"Wow, i rarely see someone this determined. Not even the best Coordinators have this kind of drive." She thought.

"Umm you okay Lisia?", Ash asked, a look of concern and confusion spreading across his face. He added," Umm you're staring." As he wondered why the teal-haired idol was looking at him like that.

This jolted Lisia awake from her thoughts, "H-huh, Oh sorry." She apologised. "Get yourself together!" she thought to herself. "A Contest Idol should not be dozing off, let alone stuttering!"

With a smile Ash replied" No worries!"

Lisia nodded. She then around and addressed the crowd,

giving her farewells.

This elicted a reaction of disappointment, not wanting their favourite Contest Idol to leave. As Lisia walked off into the building, Ash looked towards the yellow mouse sitting on his shoulder.

"Alright i guess we're entering a Contest Pikachu!!" He told the mouse.

"Pi-pika!"
