When you're done, You're DONE.

Ch 29 melting of the minds

Syble nodded and turned to the girls. "Well, tonight we will all be going..."

That was as far as she got. It was at that time Dorea Potter walked in, and Syble almost fainted at the spot. "High Priestess, you're alive and back".

Dorea was slowly walking into the room with Tonks right behind her. The things that had happened only a couple of minutes ago were still playing in her mind over and over again. She knew Morgana had a battle ahead of her, but she had to do her part right here and now. So as she talked in her mind, she was heard all over the room. 'I was the high priestess for England before I went on. I came back today to set things straight. You have all been called by the magic of Morgana to follow her bloodline. You are all here to help the magicals in the world, especially here in England. You are here to follow your high priest and to help him where he needs it. His priestess will be by his side, and she will be the next in line.

"That's, Tonks, we will be following. But who the hell are you?" Susan spoke up as she pointed her wand at Dorea.

Dorea blinked and looked at the wand that was pointed at her head. As she looked at the girls, she could see all of them doing the same. When she looked at Tonks she could only see her smirk at her. 'What is with you people, From the moment we got in here, you have all been wand happy. One of you can poke someone's eye out with that thing.

"Guess what, lady, you could be the first we do it, too," Hannah yelled at her.

Dorea was taken aback by the response she heard. In her days, kids would never talk to her this way. "Well, miss are you going to say something or can we start poking" Tracy called out as she got a little evil smirk on her face.

It was now that Dorea took a step back and looked at the face of Tonk's. She has never been in this kind of situation. In her days here in England, well, in the here and now. Kids behaved and listened to their elders. In the time of Avelon, it was even better; there, she only had to make a sound, and kids would listen. It made her think back to James, and she really missed him. It also brought her back to the here and now and to Harry, her grandson. As she looked back at the girls who were all pointing their wands at her, she could see the influence Harry had on them. Slowly, she lifted up her hands in surrender.

"Well, what is it going to be?" a Blonde girl asked.

Dorea looked at her sisters and just didn't know what to say or do. For the first time in a very long time, she became afraid. "Dorea Potter, why don't you let me handle?" Apolline started.

"Dorea Potter," the blond girl snapped. " As Dorea Potter Nee Black, the wife of Charles Potter, the grandfather of Harry James Potter," she snapped again.

"Daphne, what is the matter?" Susan asked as she dropped her wand and reached out to keep Daphne from attacking this woman.

It took a while for Susan and Hannah, who started to help her after a moment, to get Daphne to calm down. "This,, This,," was as far as she got before she threw her look at Tonks. She was breathing hard, and she could not really choose which of the two she wanted to attack. After a couple of deep breaths, she pointed at Dorea Potter as she looked at Susan. "This," and she took another deep breath. "This is Dorea Potter, the grandmother of Harry James Potter".

What happened next was something none of the witches had ever seen. As one of the girls all pulled their wands and pointed at each and every one of them. Syble looked on and rushed before Dorea. She held up her hands in surrender, but on the inside, she was shivering like a leaf. "Where have you been when your grandson needed you"? Susan screamed as she rushed past Daphne. Tonks was just in time to get her around her waist and stop her from ripping her eyes out. "Tonks, let me GO".

"Susan," Tonks called back. "There is a reason why she has been away, She wasn't around because she died a long time ago. At least I think she did".

This stopped every girl in their tracks as they all looked from Tonks to Dorea Potter. Tracy was the first to find the words and just had to ask, "Tonks, if she died, then how can she be standing here. Then again, if she could come back to life, then why did she wait so long to come back? We all knew her grandson needed her and he needed her from the moment Lilly and James died. He has been through hell, and we all know it. He is too noble to tell us anything, but you can see it if you look at him closely. We know you have seen it too because you have been drawn to him before we ever were".

Tonks looked at her and wondered why her words sounded so right. She always had this feeling that she knew him way before she went to Hogwarts. But it just hadn't been liked, it had been before. Now, however, a lot of memories were flowing through her head. She remembered a baby she always took care of. When she was little, she thought it was an imaginary friend. The more her thoughts went to that time, the more she saw the face of a little baby with black hair. Unruly black hair. His hair was sticking in all angles, just like Harry's had. Harry, could it be, did she really looked after Harry when she was younger?

Dorea had backed up into a corner and looked at all the girls, they all had dropped their wands, but she could see she still wasn't out of danger. Her biggest trouble was the things she heard and how she could help them. If they were right, then her grandson didn't have the best upbringing. She didn't know where it had gone wrong, but she could only hope that Morgana could take care of it. It brought her back to the moment they walked in on them, and Morgana took over.

Dorea Potter had walked into the room and had her first look at her grandson. It was clear he didn't know her, and it hurt her a little. Somehow, he had never been to the manor house. If he had been there, then her portrait would have told him about Avalon and the magic of Morgana. She had hoped he had heard from her, so she just gave him a hug. The force he used to push her off almost hurt her. She had stepped back and looked at the others who were still in the room. She knew Andromeda, but she had gotten a lot older. The one called Tonks must have been her daughter, but the last time she had seen the kid. The girl had been two years old, so she could never remember her. Then there was the other woman. If she remembered right, it had been a Bones. Her husband and she had been thinking of making a contract between her son James and Amelia Bones. She wondered if this was that woman. It never happened because James had his eyes on Lilly Evens. That boy had been head over heels in love with that girl from his first train ride to Hogwarts. She could still remember all the letters he had sent back to them in the first couple of months. Almost half of them were about that girl with the fiery red hair and the killing curse eyes. It were the same color eyes Morgana had, and so she knew this girl had her magic running through her as well.

Now that she was looking at her own grandson, it hurt her that he didn't know her at all. Not by her portrait and not by her own niece, Andromeda. She would have thought she, of all people, would have talked about her at least once. While she tried to hug him for a second time, she was pushed even harder away than the first time. She could feel his magic going around the room, and it got stronger when Morgana stepped around her.

Amelia had heard it all when she heard what this boy had done. It was still hard to believe, just like the two cloaks she got from the Dementors he killed. When Dorea Potter walked in, she was even more confused. The only thing she had known was that she had died. She had been a force in the Wizangemot together with Augusta Longbottom. She could clearly remember the day they had buried her in an empty coffin together with her husband. It had been an empty coffin, but she never knew why that was. Her father had told her it had been ancient magic and that they had gone on the next journey.

Yet here she was, and by the looks of it, she was alive and kicking. The moment she was pushed away by Harry, she wanted to jump in. How a boy could treat his grandmother that way was unacceptable in her book. She had tried it but got slammed back by a burst of magic, and she knew it had come from Harry. It was now that she got a good look at his eyes and saw the thing Tonks had told her about. She had heard from people living in fear, but this was pure panic. It wasn't a panic attack, but some kind of survival mode he was in. It was clear he couldn't see clearly, but what he saw, he saw Kristal. Tonks was the first to be pushed behind him and out of the way of danger. Where the danger was, she didn't understand, but he clearly saw it, or he thought he saw it. Tonks had told her about PTSD. She still wasn't really clear bout it, but she could see what Tonks meant when she had told her. He was on a battlefield, and the only thing he wanted was to get away. It all went so fast that she almost didn't recognize the next woman who walked or glided into her office. It took a second for her to remember she only knew about this woman from paintings at Gringotts. It was a painting of Morgana next to her brother, Arthur. It was before she went away to Avalon. She only knew it because she was secretly into history.

This woman had the power to throw Harry back to the ground. In his fall, he took Tonks with him, but he kept her from falling to the ground. He himself wasn't that lucky but he was still fighting. She could see him trying to get back to his feet as he pushed her back. There was no movement of arms, but she could feel the magic from both of them slamming into her. She was in the middle of it and could feel the pull and push war that was going on. Just as she was about to scream, Dorea took hold of Tonks and pulled her away. It really took hold of Harry, and he started to fight back. His eyes were following Tonks out the door, and his magic was pushing her with it. He was on his feet, and Morgana was backing up. She still could not believe that this was Morgana she was seeing, but it sure looked like her. While she looked on she could see that Morgana had a hard time fighting Harry. So as she looked on, she could see that she grabbed him by his head and both of them screamed a scream of pain she only heard when someone was Crucio'd in front of her.

Morgana had rushed by Dorea and looked at the person who pushed her friend away. She had heard something in her mind, but wasn't sure if she had heard right. Her friend had told her that it was her grandson, but he would not push her away if he were her grandson, would he? When she came around her friend, she hit a wall of magic. It was like a brick wall, and she could only throw it back. What she saw was a boy being pushed away and to the ground. In a moment of rest, she could feel that this boy had her magic in her. It screamed at her, but she also felt something else. Something wasn't right with it, and she needed to find out what it was. In her mind, she called to her friend to take the girl away, who was being held behind him. She could feel him protecting her, and she was very impressed by the way he did it.

When Dorea took the girl away, he really started to push back. She planted her feet firmly on the ground. She was ready for him, but somehow he was pushing her back, and she could feel her feet starting to glide backwards over the floor. She pushed more, but so did he. She could feel him overwhelming her bit by bit. Out of desperation she did something she would have never done if she wasn't pushed back this hard. She grabbed him and dove into his mind. The moment she did, she went through a ward of something, and the only thing she felt was pain.

Amelia looked on as both of them screamed out. She wanted to rush at them, but the magic held her back. She wasn't even able to call for some healers to help them. The one thing she did see was Allan Croaker and David Greengrass looking around the doorframe. By the looks of them, she could see that they were also fighting against the magic that the two of them were pushing out and at each other. "What the hell is happening around here?" Amelia screamed at them.

David lifted his shoulders, but Croaker looked on. "I do not know how to tell you, but both of them walked out of the veil and straight out of the door. Somehow that thing had been a portal to Avalon, where they have lived until now".

Amelia looked at him and she could not believe him. She knew who this woman was supposed to be, but she could not believe she had been or if she was real. Then again, she could not think of another way this woman could not be anyone else. She looked at the clock and saw that they only had a couple of minutes left. "David, you go back and wait for Fudge. If he doesn't show up on time, let him. If he does tell him, I will be there when I can. I do not know what is happening, but I do know that this is very important in some way".

David nodded and rushed back. When he stood before the door of the chamber, he heard his name being called. He didn't need to turn around to find out who was calling him. He knew the voice of his daughter anywhere, so while he turned, he knew who he would see. Halfway through his turn, he saw Agusta Longbottem, but her look was one of surprise. SO he turned on and saw the last woman he thought he would ever see again. "Dorea Potter, you're alive?".

She did not speak, but he could clearly hear her in his mind. 'David Greengrass, I remember you from when you were a little snotnose punk. ' David gave her a little smile, but he wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do. He could see by the look in her eyes she had more on her mind then Hi. 'You have to do something for me. I do not know when Harry will be in the chamber, but he will be there. When he does, you have to help him just like your daughters will. David looked at Daphne and wondered what Astoria had to do with it. He shook his head and looked back at Dorea. When he did, he could see that she had already walked on and was standing between two women he would not have thought she would.

Dorea had walked on and stepped between Rita and Syble. Apolline was standing before her and bowed deeply. "You are back," Apolline said.

Dorea Potter got a sad look and shook her head. 'I wish I were and could but that is not possible. I only have an hour left. I never thought I would find my Grandson in this way. If I knew, I would have come back before but it was not possible. So I will go back to him and tell him goodbye; you, however, have to get him and the girls ready for their tasks. Dorea stopped and looked at Fleur. She gave her a soft smile and turned back. 'I know your mother has taught you well and that you will be a good second. Guide them well and make us proud. Fleur curtseyed to her, and Dorea turned to Syble and Rita. 'Time to stop looking out and time to work together again. You have all done well, but we have to go on. Take care of Hogwarts and make it like it should have been. Get Albus in shape or get rid of him. Now it is time for me to go.

As they all looked on, they saw how Dorea walked away and knew they would not see her again. "Come, Dad, we have to get ready for Harry. My sisters and I have to take care of a lot of things". David was surprised by her words and asked her what could be so important and what she meant by her sisters. The last thing he wanted was his daughter in some kind of Harem. "I will explain to you later, and I will not be in a Harem, so don't worry about it". David could only nod as he followed her and about nine other girls.

Dorea Potter had walked on and made her way to Amelia's office. The more she thought about it, the more she was sure that Amelia was Amelia Bones, she had known so long ago. While she walked to the floor, she could feel the magic from Morgana again. It wasn't as strong as it had been when she left, but she could still feel it washing over her. The closer she got, the more she felt the magic from her grandson overpowering that of Morgana. For a second time, she thought he was more powerful than her friend and all would be lost if he didn't trust them. When she walked into the office, she could see both of them standing there with their foreheads pressed against each other.

Morgana was a little bit startled when she got pushed back by a burst of magic. It was the last thing she thought would happen, and she started to push harder. As the magic from this boy pushed back, she had to get the others out of the way. The first thing he did was to pull the girl with the pink hair behind him. She could feel the connection, and it warmed her heart that there was still some feeling in him. She knew that her magic was pure in every form. So it could be pure love. But also pure hate. Her feelings told her that Bellatrix Black and Draco Malfoy had turned her magic into hate. This felt different, like it was good and evil in one. She needed to know it, and she needed to get into his head. As she pushed harder, he started to push back even more. So with a little desperation, she tried to pull the girl away from him, but he fought even harder. He got back to his feet, and she could feel herself being pushed back. 'Dorea, get the girl and pull her away. She is the one, and she needs to get to her sisters of the coven.' After a deep sigh she could see that Dorea took the girl away. So she could focus on the boy. Before she could, he started to push even harder, and she had to pull all of her magic to the front to keep on standing. Slowly, she could feel him becoming weaker. It wasn't his magic that felt weaker, but it was his body. She pushed on and grabbed him by the cheeks. 'Let me in,' she whispered to him.

Harry pushed back and tried to pull his head away. He heard her in his mind, and he screamed NO.

Morgana felt her magic being pushed away even more, and she had a hard time keeping hold of him. 'Let me in, I can help you, you can trust me,' she told him again.

No, she heard again, but this time she got a glimpse of his first thoughts. It was just the tip she could see, but it was more than she needed. Normally, she would push on and rip the mind in two. This time, however, she wasn't sure if she would survive the trip. 'I'm here to help you see the magic inside of you. '

Harry heard her, but he didn't trust her. She came at him and attacked him. He could feel she was stronger while he was giving her his all. Now she stopped and talked to him. She didn't go on or fight him any more than she was. His mind wanted to give in, but his fear was still pushing him back. 'Who are you' he thought.

Morgana almost dropped her defense when he talked to her in her mind. She knew they could talk to the others because she had taught them all how to do it. But the others would still be answering them with their voices. But this was the first time she didn't teach it to him, but he did. He talked to her in her mind and he said it loud and clear. 'My name is Morgana Lafay.' What happened next surprised her even more. His magic dropped and she had to de everything to not drop him on the floor. She looked at him in his mind, and it was wide open. He had given up, and she saw it all. Slowly, she stepped into his mind and looked around.

"My son, what happened to you?" she told him as her feet hit the ground in his mindscape.

"I'm tired and I give up, I can't go on," he told her.

The sound of his voice was one of surrender. He had been fighting all his life, and his mindscape told her all. Nothing was as it should have been. Normally, she could see some kind of world and some kind of order. What she saw here was a wasteland. His mind had been fighting on the inside, and his memories were all over the place. She looked around herself and could see a lot of broken memories. If she didn't know any better, she would say someone had been attacking his mind from the day he was born. "Harry, can you hear me?". She called out to him and hoped he could hear her, and he would be able to respond.

"Why are you in my head?".

The way he asked her almost broke her heart. He was said and almost helpless as he called back. "I'm here to help you get this all back in order. I do not know what happened to you, but this isn't right".

"You are not here to show me death and torture, or things like that".

"Why would I do that?" Morgana almost screamed. She was just in time to stop herself and take a moment. "Harry, do you know anything about mind magic?". The answer she got was something that told her that he knew nothing. "You are a strong boy, so I know you can do this. Think about me and see if you can stand next to me".

"You mean that I have to picture something like that in my mind?". Before she could tell him he was right, he was standing next to her. "What is this place?" he called out to her.

"Nice thoughts," she told him as she looked at him. "Normally, it would take people longer to get them to appear in their minds". She laughed as he rubbed the back of his neck. It was something his grandmother also did when she put her on the spot. Slowly, she waved her hand around and looked at him. "What you see here is your mind".

"Shit, I'm a mess".

This time, she laughed as she heard his words. In one way, he was right. His mind was a mess, and it was not his fault. Even the simplest mind had some kind of structure. "You are right; it is a mess, but this must have a reason. The one thing you have to realize is that a mindscape."

"Mindscape?" Harry asked her.

"I'm sorry to say this, but you are fifteen, right?" Harry just nodded. "You do not know about a mindscape, and it is clear you do not know anything about the mindarts". The frown he gave her was enough to know she was right. After a deep sigh, she looked at him. "What you see here is your mind. It is what you want it to be. It is also something you can create for yourself. I do not have the time to explain it all to you, but Tonks can". The moment she said the name, a picture of Tonks appeared in front of her.

"Cool," Harry said.

"Harry, it is your mind. If you want, you could create a wall and hang it full of pictures. Because they are all created from memories, you could even destroy memories".

Harry looked up at those words. Again, he rubbed his neck and looked down with some kind of hurt in his eyes. Morgana wanted to ask about it, but he began to speak. "Can I also destroy memories that are pushed into my mind? Memories that are not from me?".

The moment she said it, she knew that he had some kind of connection with a dark wizard. She had been labeled as one, and they might have been right. In her days, she would have done everything to help kids. As she looked at this boy she could see that he was still a kid himself. His mind might be all grown-up, but he was not. The only thing she didn't know was how he got this connection. "Harry, could you show me some of them? Just think about it so I know what I can do".

This is it again for this time see you all in two weeks.
