So Season 2, by the way I've be thinking about something I would like to add, recently I've been watching bloopers and then it clicked, JWCC Bloopers I've written a few down for season 1 but what do you think? Shall I post season 1 soon or do a montages at the end of season 5? Have your say in the comments below.

A Fighter to the End

Chapter 8 - A Beacon of Hope

"Run, run, run!"

The stampede passed by them easily and quickly, missing all of them, Aithne and Darius are in front of the gang, Brooklynn and Sammy are helping Yasmina keep up with the group, Kenji is behind everyone.

"Is the Parasaurolophus still there?" Brooklyn yelled in question towards Kenji.

Aithne looked over her shoulder as did Kenji, yes the Paras was still behind them, however what was chasing the herd in the first place happened to be a bloody T-Rex, it roar at the herbivore chasing it away from the campers, Kenji just dodging in time

"Ahh! Not anymore!" Kenji responded.

"This way!" Aithne exclaimed, pointing at a fallen tree.

The Rex still after the Para, they had to work around them to get to cover, Darius dives under the tree and starts crawling, Aithne cups her hands together to get Yasmina over the tree while Brooklynn climbed up beside her, she blocks Sammy from getting hit by the oncoming T-Rex's tail, then they and Kenji climb over too for cover. She lands next to Yasmina on her bad knee staying crouch down in case they have to run again, she and the others ducked when they heard a crashing sound, guessing the Rex got it's meal, only to confirm it when bone crunching followed suit, Yasmina grips onto Aithne's arm while she ducked her head closer to hers as they hear the Rexy claim its prey, Aithne turns to where Darius is, now looking over their hiding spot.

"They're gone," Darius says after a few moments.

They all sigh and collapse in exhaustion, Aithne rests her head on the tree, her legs lay out, she felt Yasmina resting her head on her shoulder.

"Why are there so many dinosaurs around," Kenji complained.

Aithne stands up carefully to not let Yasmina fall, taking deep breaths hunched over, resting her hands on her knees, she reaches for her bag to get the last bottle of water to give to the others to share.

"It's either your boyish charm or all the fences on the island are down." Brooklynn says, while Aithne opens her bag, finding out that after being thrown around by Toro and an explosion that the inside of her bag is wet.

"No offense," Sammy adds. "But it's definitely option two."

Aithne pulls out her water bottle only seeing it half empty and leaking, everything else in the bag was wet and beyond use so she tips it out on the grass.

"I don't even care," Yasmina says. "Right now, I just want a sandwich, we haven't eaten since we had those awful carob bars that Ben-"

Everyone froze, Aithne grips the bottle making a crunching noise, she can feel eyes on her for that moment. A distant roar makes them jump then moaning in exhaustion.

"You guys have the last of it," Aithne says handing the bottle to Brooklynn. "We need to find a place where we can rest and get food, and find…. I don't know find another radio to contact somebody?"

They all get up, Darius taps Aithne arm, and points out in the distance.

"There's bound to be a way to call for help on main street," he says. "And everything that we need."

"Lead on Dino-Kid."

When they reached at the main park, there was only one word that can describe what they are looking at…. Clusterfuck.

"What happen here?" Kenji wondered as they walk down the street.

"Uh, I'm thinking Dinosaurs," Yasmina says, as they stopped to look at one building that seemed like something smashed right into it.

"It's more than that," Darius adds. "Some kind of fight took place, from the height, it looks like maybe a T-Rex and.. something bigger."

"The Indominus Rex," Brooklynn says, she looks down at the lagoon, Aithne and Darius take a look too. "I don't think we have to worry about it anymore, or what's left of it."

"Ugh! Or the mosasaurus being hungry for a while," said Darius stepping back a bit.

"That's the best news I've heard all day," Aithne says.

"Guys!" Sammy screams, making the three of them jump. "You have to see this!"

She leads them away from the lagoon.

"How can someone be loud move so quietly," Aithne muttered to herself, holding her heart from the shock.

Sammy leads them to what looks like a gift shop and out front is a Brooklynn cutout, they start laughing except Aithne, shaking her head in annoyance she just walks into the shop, they had to find something to contact the Main Land, she cannot be wasting time, hearing Kenji laughing harder, she turns back to the others.

"When you lot are done," she called out. "Start looking for a phone or anything to contact the mainland please," she turns back searching in one of the cardboard boxes on the floor.

They all start looking too, Aithne found nothing in the box but small dinosaur plushies and lanyards, Yasmina picks up a tote bag with the Jurassic world logo on the front.

"Hey, we could use that," Aithne states, Yasmina looks at. "We don't know how long it will be before we send word for help, we can put supplies in it.

"Good call," Yasmina agreed, she grinned. "Is that yours?" pointing what's in Aithne's hand.

Aithne looks at her hand she was holding a Stego plushie.

"Ha, Ha, Mina," Aithne grinned back, tossing the plush at the Track Star who effortlessly dodged while giggling a little.

"Ohh, lost and found!" Darius calls out, she and Yasmina head over to the desk. "Sunglasses, hats, sunglasses," he gasped digging deep into the box to pull out. "Sunglasses. Really no one lost their cell phone?!"

"You would think at least someone would at least dropped one during all the chaos," Aithne mentions leaning her back on the counter. "But nope."

"Well, whatever phones are here aren't working," Yasmina added, with the desk phone to her ear, before placing it down. "The power's out there's not even a walkie-talkies."

"Oh yeah?" Kenji says walking over to them. "Then what do you call these bad boys?"

He hands Yasmina a dino walkie-talkie, she presses the button, and it roared.

"Definitely not 'bad boys.'" Yasmina replied.

"Hey at least they work," Kenji responded. "They even have a robot mode."

"At least now we have a way to stay in contact with one another," Aithne mentions. "Until we find better ones that is."

"Oh!" Sammy gasped.

"You found something?" Darius asked.

"An insider's guide to Jurassic world!" Sammy holds up a yellow book. "It's got all kinds of details about the park." She reads from it. "Did you know there's hidden dinos carved into the buildings? Or that aircraft aren't allowed to fly over the island?"

They look at her deadpanned.

"Just grand," Aithne said with blank tone.

"Sorry, that last one's a bummer."

"Hey!" Brooklynn cries.

"Is it a phone?" Darius says.

"It's a camera!" Brooklynn replied. "And it works! Now I can document all the crazy stuff we've seen! Our rescue will be a Brooklynn exclusive! That'll get my follower count back up to where it belongs."

"And that will help us how exactly?" Yasmina asked while Aithne groaned, her head raised to look at the ceiling.

"Uh, because when we get home, this will also make you famous?" Brooklynn replied shyly.

"Hey!"

"Please tell me you found a phone," Darius asked.

"Uh, no, but I could be in the video," Kenji says, looking right at the camera.

Sammy gasps again.

"Phone?" Aithne lazily asks.

"Nope it's better than that," Sammy replied. "It's an EDB, Emergency Distress Beacon! After the first park went down, Mr Masrani installed one on Main Street. Its battery powered and can send an SOS signal 150 miles in all directions! We're saved!"

Aithne moved from the desk to regroup where Sammy stands.

"Does it say where it is?" Yasmina asked.

"Uh," Sammy looks at the next pages. "No, the rest of the chapters just glamour shots of Dr Wu wearing turtlenecks."

"What a waste of paper," Aithne muttered.

"Everyone spread out," Darius says. "There's a way to communicate with outside world on Main Street, we find this thing, and we go home."

"Affirmative human," Kenji said in a robotic voice.

"And on that note," Aithne says walking out of the shop. "Let's get searching while we still got day light."

About 30 minutes of looking and Brooklynn filming or trying to film, Aithne climbs high on some half-torn building, to see if the Beacon was attached to something only to find nothing, after dropping down, she walks towards Darius and Yasmina where while Brooklynn was filming them.

"You two found any?" Aithne asked.

"Not yet?" Yasmina replied.

"What about yo-"

"Found scooter!" Kenji exclaimed passing by on a scooter.

Aithne facepalms.

"To answer your question Darius, no, let's keep searching, and Pinky, the camera."

"Right, sorry," she replied turning it off.

More searching and more looking, and still no Beacon.

"Maybe the Beacon got trashed along with everything else?" Yasmina suggested.

"No, it would have to be well protected so it can't get damaged," Aithne responded.

"It's here somewhere," Darius says. "It's has to be."

Yasmina sits down near a stone pillar.

"Anyway," Aithne carries on. "Main Street is huge, with everything you can get in a park for thousands of people daily, it's going to take time with the sev-," Aithne stopped herself. "Six of us."

Yasmina caught on that Aithne was about to say seven.

"I'll… look over there," Aithne says walking away entering the Steak House.

Once she was out of sight, she kicked a nearby chair, taking in a shaken breath, Ben's lost is still fresh, she balls her hands into fists, feeling the pain in her cut hand, she brings her hand up and carefully removes the bandaged, hissing when the fabric peeled on her skin, it looked swollen, inflamed, and a little green, she walks behind the bar, finding an torch and a mostly intact first aid box, inside are loads of bandages, medical tape, plasters, cotton pads, an tweezer, small scissors and some medical glue. She takes out one of the cotton pads and the tweezer, turning on the torch to see into the cut and she can see some glass shards, putting the light down on the counter and starts looking for some Vodka, this is going to sting like a bitch.

AN: WARNING! THIS IS THE PART I MENTIONED AT THE START! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! SKIP IF YOU WANT TO.

She finds the strongest Vodka which took her by surprise that they have it, they spared no expense, wanting to keep the rich park goers happy, she unscrews the bottle lid, she puts the torch in her mouth and picks up the tweezer's, inhales from her nose and starts picking the glass out of her hand. She bites down on the torch when she managed to get the first out, pus poked out, she starts removing the second, more pus starts dripping, sweat broke on her forehead.

"Just one more," she muffles to herself.

The last one just had to be big, about the size of a bean, sighing that was over but now she was bleeding again, better to get it out of the way now, she grabs the bottle of Vodka and pours half the bottle on her cut, she spat out the torch to bite down on her arm as it indeed stung like a bloody bitch, she didn't want to scream murder to worry the others or alert any dinosaurs that could show up, she heavily breathed till the pain passed grabbing medical glue and cautiously applies it on, before putting the cotton pad over it and to be sure it stays on, she wraps the tape around it too.

While Aithne waits for the tweezer's to be disinfected in a glass of vodka she looks around the steakhouse, finding a lighter, batteries, a hand full of tea candles and a little handbook with a small pencil and a red marker. Knowing she has been gone for a while she packs up all that she founded into her bag and heads out, but when she steps on something that let out a sickening crunch, she stops dead.

"Please don't be a body," she prayed, before looking down.

Well she was half right, it was a body, but a dinosaur body, that was burnt to a crisp, when she lifts up her foot, she sees a huge foot claw that had snapped of the foot of whatever dinosaur it was, not knowing why but she picks up the claw, it was a clean snap and it looks like something Darius would have, she pockets the claw and leaves the steakhouse.

"Where have you been?" Brooklynn called out, spotting Aithne walking towards them.

"I was looking around," she replied. "Didn't find the Beacon, and seeing how we could be looking for some time, I've found some things that could come in handy," She removes her bag and places it on the table, taking out what she found to move some of it into one of the tote bags Yasmina picked up or to be put on her person. "Anyway what are you lot doing?"

"Waiting for the pizza to thaw," Sammy answered. "Speaking of is it thawed now?"

"Pizza?" Aithne repeated, putting her bag on.

"I'll check," Kenji says as he gets up.

"Kenji found frozen pizza while you were gone," Yasmina says. "And we have been here since."

"Was I really gone that long?"

Before anyone could reply, Kenji yells out, immediately Aithne looks over to see Compys gathering around the pizza, and running around coming out of nowhere. Three Compys jumped onto the table where, Aithne, Darius, Brooklynn, and Yasmina are.

"Throw the pizza!" Yasmina shouts. "Throw the pizza!"

Aithne backhands two of the Compys that started biting at the tote bag off the table, the third jumped off before she could strike at it too.

"Ah man! All of it?" Sammy objected.

Aithne kicks several of them away while the others did as Yasmina says. The Compys run away with the pizza.

"I hope they get the shits from eating half frozen dough," Aithne rumbled.

"I'm really starting to dislike them Compys," Sammy complained.

"Ugh, they're like the rats of the Dino world, they'll eat anything." Brooklynn agreed.

"Yeah, but so will Kenji," Yasmina says, rubbing her ankle.

"Ha nice," Aithne laughed, she lifts her right fist, which Yasmina returned the gesture, the two fist bump.

"I object to that," Kenji responded.

And was about to eat the pizza slice he saved, but Brooklynn shoves it out of his hand, then the two start play shuffle then Sammy joins in. Aithne shakes her head at the childishness, before looking back at Yasmina still rubbing her ankle.

"How is it?" she asked.

"It's fine," Yasmina replying quickly, sitting up straight on the chair, but she caught Aithne's raised eyebrow expression that says 'really?'. "Ugh, it's, it's about the same back at the lagoon."

"Let's take a look," Aithne replied, kneeling down.

After removing her shoe, she unwraps the worn out bandaged, she lowers the sock and sees what the damage is.

"Yep swelling has come back," Aithne says. "We need to find a compress, but we should get it down before doing it, and if Kenji found frozen pizza then that means that the freezers are still cold enough."

"What you going to find a bag of peas?" Yasmina joked with a grin.

"If it comes to it," Aithne replied. "But best not have frozen food that can draw back the little Compy buggers."

Aithne gets up after re-tying Yasmina's shoe and grabs an empty tote bag, and a dino-radio.

"I'll go find some real food," she states, walking pass Darius who was looking around. "And anything else for that matter."

"I'll come too," Darius suggests, following after her.

"No," she gently declined. "You stay with the others and search again over the places we been over, we might have overlooked, once done make sure you all get back by sundown, we'll rest in the shop for the night, and continue looking for the beacon tomorrow, radio if need me."

Aithne enters into one of the cafés with a cringy dino named themed on it she couldn't care less about, and makes a beeline to the fridge, and her guess was correct, the food was still chilled, not at its peak but good enough for a group of hungry kids, she grabs sandwiches in packages nothing too fancy, ham n cheese, BLT nothing with mayo or tuna, the last thing is for someone to get a stomach bug, and several bottles of water that should last them for a few days if they use it sparingly. After looking in all the draws and cupboards finding a small freezer with ice, just was she needed, grabbing a cleanish towel she puts a hand full of ice and wrapping the towel to make sure it would not melt quickly, after getting as much as she could carry she starts to make her exit when she kicked something that made her stop. Looking down to see a book, it spine facing up, the pages bent on the floor, she picks it up to read the front cover, 'The fauna and flora of Islar Nublar' in illustration shows the flowers and small birds of the island, she takes it with, a thought came to her that even if they do find the beacon, how long will it be until the rescue party show up, better safe than sorry.

The sun was nearly set and twilight almost covered the sky, Aithne arrived back at the shop, everyone's spirits raised when she showed them the sandwiches and bottles of water, Aithne handed Yasmina the ice for her ankle much to the Track Star's relief, after eating and with plenty left over for breakfast and maybe a day or two if they divide, they will need to look around again for more food, even if it has to be frozen pizza. So satisfying their hunger, they were ready for sleep, and they all agree to have a watch out, Yasmina agreed to go first, the rest picked a spot in the shop and surrendered to their exhaustion, well some of them. Aithne was resting her head on a big dino plushie for a pillow but no matter how long she stay still, laying on her side that didn't hurt sleep is not taking over, her body was telling her to rest but her mind kept saying stay awake, giving up she sits up seeing Yasmina sat on the steps to the shop not too far where Darius is sleeping.

She quietly gets up so not to wake up the others but after spending over 24 hours of running they are going to be K.O, and sit down next to Yasmina.

"You still up?" she asks, noticing her beside her.

"Can't sleep," Aithne replied. "And it's not Kenji's snoring that's doing that."

"Tell me about it," Yasmina responded. "And he keeps pressing the walkie, the battery is going to run out at this rate."

"Good thing there are plenty lying around," she replied gesturing to the shop. "Which reminds me we could look over some stuff in the morning, we did leave halfway searching in here when we found out about the Beacon."

"Fair, do you think the beacon is still here?"

"It has to be, if not then the people who ran the place did not learn from the first park, also even if we do find it, we don't know how lo-"

Her sentence was cut off when they heard Darius breathing heavy, and mumbling in his sleep, his face scrunched up in destress, Yasmina being the closest gently shakes the boy's shoulder but made him jump awake.

"Hey, whoa, whoa! Y-you okay?" Yasmina asked as he gasped for air.

"Easy kid," Aithne says kneeling next to him. "Slow breaths."

"Yeah, I'm fine," Darius replied after calming down a bit. "Thanks sorry I fell asleep."

"I'm the one who volunteered to take the first shift, remember?"

They look over at the others fast asleep, Kenji still snoring into the walkie-talkie.

"I keep telling myself the batteries gotta run out sometime, right?"

Darius had pulled his knees up to his chest, looking at the floor upset, Aithne and Yasmina shared a glance, whatever the kid's dream was, it'd shaken him up.

"I have to find that beacon, I just need to try harder. I can find it if I try harder," Darius says more to himself then to them.

Aithne sighed, she knew he would be pressuring himself into finding the way off the island, and he is putting too much onto his little shoulders.

"Push-ups," Yasmina states as she starts to do them at a steady pace, with a sprained ankle up from the ground.

"Okay, that's the last time I eat unthawed pizza and a warm BLT," Darius says. "Cause boy, is this dream getting weird."

Aithne huffed a laugh.

"When I race," Yasmina explains. "I pressure myself, 'go faster, work harder,' sometimes that's good, but sometimes I get so stuck in my head that I can't see what's happening in front of me." She stands up and stretches. "So we loosen up, free our minds, do push-ups, leg rolls, plank till your arms give out. You know just have fun."

Darius looks at Aithne with a raised brow.

"Mina is right, it's the same with MMA, it's not all about punch n kick and hope for the best, I've got to think what my opponent's next move could be, but if I over think I would end up flat on my back and counting stars, but yeah but with different workouts, punching bag, lifting weights, go on run, or read a chapter or five, so yeah, fun."

"We have very different definitions of fun," Darius replied.

"Okay then," Yasmina states. "What would be fun for you?"

Darius takes them away from Main street to some path near the jungle.

"Learning new dinosaur facts!" Darius cheers running ahead of them. "Whoo!"

"Whoo," Yasmina says in a bored tone.

"I've been wanting to see the Jurassic World Discovery Walk since forever! I can't believe this place is practically untouched!"

"I can," Aithne and Yasmina said together.

"Race you to the next plaque!"

The plaque was barely one meter away.

"That did not count as a race," Yasmina points out.

"Check it out. Sauropods can eat up to 12,000 pounds of food per day! Obviously, their necks help them cover both elevated and lower grazing levels, but still, that's insane! Race you again!"

He runs pass them to another plaque.

"Ooh, this one's about camouflage. Some dinosaurs developed colour patterns to help them from….hide, I know where the beacon is."

"Wait are you saying the beacon is hidden in plain sight?" Aithne catches on.

"Yeah," Darius replied with a smile. "You said it would have to well protected so what better way to do that and be within reach."

"Hmm, good point," Aithne pondered. "But we aren't going to do that in the dark, lets head back, get some sleep and explain to the others in the morning."

So they head back and Aithne says she will stay watch when they got back to the shop, and when all was still quiet, Darius didn't wake up from another nightmare, she thought she might as well read a bit of the island's nature book she found, when she finally started to feel tired she wakes up Brooklynn for her turn, she laid her head back on the plushie she was using before and slept.

However it felt like it only lasted minutes when the sun was hitting her eyes, she tiredly lifts her head finding everyone still sound asleep, Brooklynn must have woke Kenji during the night and it would seem he fell asleep on the job, yet she was not totally surprised. Like before she sneaks pass them quietly thinking they could have another hour of sleep before Darius tells them what he found out last night, so she leaves the shop to look around for any sign of Compys or any Dinosaur for that matter, when she looked down one street she spotted one of the park's Land Rovers, the front wheels where bent to the side making stirring it a no go and the bonnet was missing, she can smell the petrol in the air, she kneels down to look under the vehicle to find the petrol had been leaking, with that she starts looking inside, under the seats, the boot, the compartments praying to find something of use another gun or stun prod but all she was about to find was a half a packet of chewing gum, another lighter, a map of the island, a hand size binoculars and night vision goggles, she puts the goggles in her bag and hang the binoculars around her neck. She heads back when the sky is turning light blue, the others are all waking up, Kenji getting kicked in the foot as he showed no sign and for how he failed to swap with someone on watch duty, while they ate breakfast they looked though the shop one more time, Darius found kid binoculars, and Sammy found a box full of sun cream, and so the start a new day of searching.

(AN: Seriously I know it's a cartoon but really how the hell did this kids not get sun burn? Anyway back to fic)

"Look, we already looked here," Kenji says as they all formed around the heart of main street.

"We looked, but we didn't look," Darius said.

"Well, that clears that up." Brooklynn says.

"It's like Sammy was saying," Darius explains. "Things are disguised as other things; we never saw the beacon because it was camouflaged."

They start looking again, looking in Rock Bins, plants, fake rocks, every nook, and cranny and still nothing, Aithne heard a clang that made her look up to see Yasmina leaning on a tree, a metal tree.

"Ever hear a tree do that?" Yasmina says with a grin.

Everyone hurries over, Aithne noticed that there is a handle on the tree, Sammy grabs it and opens it.

"There's stuff inside!" Sammy exclaimed.

Aithne looks at the one next, and opens it, this one is empty, not before long everyone is open the hatch of the trees.

"All aboard the fail-boat," Kenji called out, as Aithne walks over to Darius who is staring at where a metal tree is supposed to be

"This one's missing," Darius says, while Aithne brushed her fingers on the scraped stone, noticing a trail.

She follows it as it kept on going, something being dragged down a street, Aithne kneels down looking closer at one big mark that looks like a three-toed foot print while the rest of the campers looked down street.

"Ah shite," she gasped, she stands up. "D don't suppose Main Street had any dino attractions?"

Before he could answer they hear snarling followed by heavy stomping getting closer.

"Quickly high ground," she loudly whispered, heading to a set of ladders on the wall, they all follow.

Aithne lets them up first before herself, carefully walking on the metal roof, they see what was coming, an Tyrannosaur Rex dragging a metal tree into what appears to be her encloser. When she lets out a bellow roar they lowered themselves down, so they don't get seen.

"A T-Rex Lair," Darius whispered in awe."They've found fossilised nests, but the T-Rex never did this when the park was open, we're witnessing new behaviour." he looks at the others. "This is great!"

They look at him with a raised eyebrows.

"This is terrible," Darius corrected himself. "She built her lair right on top of Main Street."

"And it's about to get worse," Brooklynn added. "Look."

They move closer to Brooklynn looking into the camera, the beacon is in the nest.

"Well, we found the beacon."

They groan.

"How are you supposed to get to the beacon now," Kenji asked.

"Um, don't you mean 'we'?" Darius says.

"No, because I want to live. And living does not involve me walking into a T-Rex lair!"

"So wait," Sammy joins in. "Does this mean we can't signal folks and tell them we're still here?"

"Great," Kenji moaned, he slides down the roof a little. "Try to spend a little time being normal kids, and it still ends up biting us in the butts. I-... I just wanted 24 hours where we didn't have to think about dinosaurs, or being left behind, or, or…or Ben."

"It was nice while it lasted."

"Hey, we can't give up now," Darius encouraged. "I know it seems hopeless, but there's always an answer, we just have to get out of our heads to see it."

Aithne glances at Yasmina seeing her smile, she shoulder nudge her before looking over into the T-Rex Den again and notices something.

"I'm no Dino expert but D would say the nest is half complete?" she asked.

Darius looks over too, and smiles.

"I would say yes."

After forming up a plan, they grabbed what was left of their supplies and more walkies they get to their positions, Aithne, Darius, Kenji, Brooklynn, and Yasmina are on the roof when they hear Rexy leave her den, they look up.

"Heading your way Sammy," Yasmina radioed.

They wait for the cowgirl's response.

"Listen up," Sammy's voice came from the walkie. "She just passed by. Coast is clear. Go for it!"

Aithne pulls off her bag leaving it next to Yasmina before she, Darius and Kenji start climbing down from the roof, right outside the den, Aithne is the first to get to the bottom and helps Darius done on the last bit. They dashed to the side of the archway to the nest.

"I hate this," Kenji moaned.

"You've said it 7 times now Kenji," Aithne hissed. "We know."

Going against the clock they made a beeline to the pile of junk of trees, metal poles and god knows what else. Darius started climbing first with Aithne right behind him, the pile was bigger then they thought and so unsteady that Darius yelps as he lost his footing.

"OOF!" Aithne groaned as she felt Darius lands on her shoulder, like a kid on a parent's shoulders.

"Uh sorry," Darius said sheepishly.

"Ya fine kid," Aithne grunted, as she helps him back up.

They carry on climbing up, Kenji gasped loudly that made Aithne look over her shoulder, Kenji is staring at a dinosaur bone in disgust before pulling out the walkie from his back.

"Next time I'm spraining my ankle and I'm staying behind," Kenji hissed into the walkie.

"You wouldn't be able to handle it," Yasmina's voice commented from the walkie.

Aithne chuckles partially hearing Yasmina's smirk as she said that.

"There!" Darius exclaims pointing up at the pile.

They get to the top and remove some debris, they try to remove it but its stuck tight.

"The T-Rex must have damaged the housing," Kenji panted. "I can't get it out."

"We don't need to get it out," Darius replied. "We just need to activate it."

Aithne noticed it has a sealed lid; she tries to open it but just like the device its jammed.

"Kenji grab that jaw bone," Aithne tells him. "We can use it to open it."

Kenji grabs it and the three of them try to open it, Aithne loses her footing will straining to get the beacon open, she tumbled right down to the bottom of the nest, landing on her front with a groan.

"Aithne!" Darius called out.

"I'm fine," Aithne called back, holding her bruised side as she gets up on her hands and knees slowly standing up. "Keep at it, I'll be right… there?"

When she stood up she spotted Yasmina waving her arms above her head getting her attention, and when she noticed that she got the MMA Fighter's attention, she points at the radio in her hand then makes an X with her arms, while shaking her head.

Then it clicked and Aithne's stomach did a summersault.

"The battery!" Aithne says to herself, she gives her a thumbs up, letting her know she got the message before sprint climbing back up to the boys.

"We need to hurry," Aithne exclaimed as she reaches at the top. "Rexy is on her way back."

"WHAT!" Kenji screamed. "Why didn't they say it-"

"You drained the battery you gobshite!" she interrupted him, grabbing the bone again.

"Hurry!"

They give it their all, but the damn thing was jammed good.

"Open you son of a-" Aithne grunted.

They strain, it open they fall but Aithne stops herself, and is about the press the button when they felt the tremor of distant stomping, Darius and Kenji hide, Aithne tries to lower herself to hide near the beacon but there was hardly anything, just as Rexy was half way through the opening.

"What's up Brooklanders!" Brooklynn's voice rang out.

Rexy growls loudly leaving her lair to investigate, Aithne gets up and the lid to the beacon looked loose, so she opens it easily just as Darius climbed back up, she gives him the honour to turn the switch on, the screen comes on and says, 'Signal Sent.'

"Yes!" Aithne cheered, she and Darius slide down the pile.

Kenji falls down from his hidden spot just as Sammy comes running in and hands Darius her walkie as the four of them leave the nest, they look up at the roof where Yasmina is at.

"We activated the beacon," Darius radioed. "The SOS signal went out."

As quickly as they could all, the teens meet up, Yasmina hands Aithne her bag as they get their supplies and run the hell out of Main Street, so Rexy isn't any the wiser, just as they ran pass the gates back into the jungle they hear Rexy roaring claiming that Main Street is hers and hers alone.

Once they were at an safe distance they started celebrating.

"We're gonna be saved!"

"We did it!"

"Yeah!"

"Yeehaw!"

"That's what I'm talking about!"

"Sorry you had to give up your camera," Darius says to Brooklynn.

"Eh, it was old and janky anyhow," Brooklynn shrugged it off. "My followers deserve way better picture quality than that."

"Where to now," Sammy asked. "We obviously can't go back to main street."

"Now we have to find a place to hole up until help arrives," Darius says. "And rescue will be coming, we just gotta stay alive until they do."

"Well we better start finding that said place till help comes," Aithne added, she pulls out a map from her bag and lays it on the grass for everyone to see.

"Is there anything you don't have in that bag?" Yasmina asked.

"A kitchen sink for starters," Aithne joked, making everyone chuckle.

Well that the start of season 2, and on to the next one.
