What PJ's Characters Are Seeing and Hearing
To differentiate future characters from their past/present counterparts, I will add the letter F to the end of their first or last names, or use P to differentiate the past/present from those in the future
Dozens of questions were on everyone's mind because of what they had just seen, questions that were mostly voiced out loud, thus somewhat altering the atmosphere in the Olympic council room.
"What the fuck was all that?"
"What the Hades was it that Perseus became?"
"Oh, Chaos, what the is your son getting into, Poseidon?!"
"How come it's always Percy/Seaweed Brain/Jackson who gets into weird situations?"
"What kind of disease was that?"
"By Pontus, what was that black substance?"
"Doesn't that Zoe hate men?"
"Do all the Jacksons/Seaweed Brain get into trouble?"
"How the Hades did the other Zoe and the other Jackson think it's a disease?"
"Whose voice was it that answered him?"
"How is it that it's always the beaweed brain that gets into the most trouble?"
"Holy Jupiter, what was that black pitch?"
"Isn't there a Jackson who doesn't get into trouble?"
The dozens of questions were asked by the young Clarisse, her brothers, the rest of the camp Half Blood, their counterparts from a few years to come, as well as by several members of the Romans, the few Amazons on the spot, the huntresses and the gods. Some were done in a polite way, others not so much.
The Greco-Romans were so surprised, that several couldn't help but look at the two versions of Sally Jackson's son on Olympus, wondering what kind of strange and ridiculous luck they have... one more time
But there were also those who had other thoughts such as the lieutenant of the huntresses who did not take her eyes off the two Jacksons in the audience, wondering various things about these two, due to what was seen in the projections about the sea-green eyed demigod, such as the second world where that Percy Jackson who sought retribution against a counterpart of Heracles for what the son of Zeus did to hers, and now the last version was friends with an adult version of her.
All this had her too intrigued and confused, so she looked at Zeus' daughter, wondering if she should talk to Thalia, perhaps she knew something that has not been shown about the son of the sea respecting her future self.
Meanwhile the two Jacksons were wary of the various looks that the others sent them or in the case of the younger one it was more concern, at least Grover tried to cheer up his best friend.
"Easy, Percy..."
"Sure, that's easy!" Grover gave his sarcastic friend an unimpressed look, but he understood that it was his way of dealing with the discomfort of being the center of attention again
The rest of those present were wary, worried, confused, and intrigued, but they could not continue with their doubts about the last world due to the projection continuing.
Those like Persephone, Hermes, Hestia, Amphitrite, and others were going to pause the projection, but controls they had had disappeared, and despite trying to find them they had to sit back and watch when they couldn't find them.
Then after a moment they saw the message "Twelfth World" appear on the screen, before it went dark for a moment, but with that they knew that they were going to see a new and different universe
Two or three seconds before the projection started again, everyone could hear light music and when the screen lit up they could see the sun in the sky
"Oh, it seems like it's my time to shine" Apollo commented about the sun on the screen, but his comment only caused the rest to roll their eyes, snort or sigh with a mixture of resignation and slight suffering
"Then this will be boring."
"Hey!"
With only the messenger god of Olympus complaining, which caused both gods who were sons of Zeus to start arguing about which of the two was cooler.
Hestia was about to interrupt them, but her nephews stopped when they saw that the image on the screen began to descend without losing sight of the sun, but as the screen descended and moved further away, a pyramid was shown, followed by a sphinx that was being finished by ancient humans; which got everyone's attention.
"Egypt"
"Egyptians"
In this world, would Percy Jackson's counterpart run into the Egyptians, was what everyone wondered.
But as the image moved, an ancient Egyptian city was shown in its heyday, as well as its citizens in it, so some of the onlookers did not consider that Perseus would run into the Egyptian gods, instead believing that perhaps the Perseus they will see was born in ancient times.
Athena and her children were among those who showed the most attention, mainly appreciating the Egyptian structures, and those who noticed their actions only shook their heads at the priorities of the goddess and her offspring.
Poseidon and others also paid a lot of attention, but unlike the previous ones, they did so because they remembered that in the other projections it was mentioned that the son of the sea interacted with the other two pantheons, and now with this, it was only reaffirmed that the boy would be someone important in the future.
"What do the Egyptians want from my son?" thought the king of the seas
"1290 B.C. ... Thebes, city of the living, jewel in the crown of Pharaoh Seti I..."
As the story began, the Greco-Romans saw a man in a chariot pulled by three horses, which gave them to understand that it must be the pharaoh.
"Son of Ramses I and Sitra, he was the second pharaoh of the nineteenth dynasty of Egypt..." commented Athena when she recognized the name of the pharaoh
"I don't think many will be interested in those facts, Athena," commented the messenger of the seas calmly, stopping her comment, but he made the goddess snort knowing that Triton is not wrong
"The home of Imhotep, high priest of Pharaoh, guardian of death"
Despite the curiosity generated by the title of Imhotep, Hades, his children and his wife were the most curious about it, while they watched on the screen the bald priest named, who had a thin black robe on him. Although the ruler of the underworld raised a curious and suspicious eyebrow about how important that mortal could be.
"Also home to Anck-su-Namun , Pharaoh's favorite... Whom no other man is permitted to touch"
The screen changed with the narration, which allowed the Greco-Romans to see a beautiful woman walking down a corridor of one of the ancient buildings in the golden days of ancient Egypt, and said woman was sparsely dressed with various tattoos or these were only painted on her body, some thought.
Several men looked at her shamelessly, only to tense up when they heard the hunters and other women growl at them. "Men"
On the other hand, a few others were not as surprised by the woman's clothing as Nike and some others, who remember that in the past mortals were more open-minded, the clothes were different, not to mention that it is Egypt that they are seeing
As the woman walked through an ornate and ostentatious chamber of a building of the ancient Egyptian civilization that was lit by braziers, one of the objects in the place that the spectators assumed was a golden statue of a man since the Greco-Romans only looked at the back of the neck on the screen, she moved before heading for the door, with the projection showing others equal to him
"Like Rachel" The son of Poseidon from the future couldn't help but compare the painted men to how his red-haired friend occasionally painted herself completely, and looking at the red-haired oracle, who sensed his gaze, rolled her eyes with some affectionate and amused exasperation a moment later when he realized what PercyF must be thinking.
Although it did not go unnoticed by others in the room such as Apollo and AnnabethF, who were watching them, only that the god was the most suspicious regarding his future oracle than Athena's daughter
"Why do I have a bad feeling?"
"Why do I feel that this is something that Aphrodite's daughters would like?"
Some like MalcolmF, Lee Fletcher and others commented to those who were close to them or thought it out loud while on the screen they saw that Anck-su-Namun continued walking for a few more seconds before crossing some curtains to meet Imhotep
"But for their love... they were willing to risk their lives to be together."
When viewers saw the two kissing, those who had imagined that something like this could happen grunted, almost gave themselves a fecepalm or had to cover their ears if they were near any of Aphrodite's daughters who squealed with joy at the sight of a "forbidden love", which embarrassed others of Aphrodite's offspring such as Piper and Silena, although they were in the minority, while others thought that Aphrodite's offspring seriously needed something discipline, reevaluating priorities or the like.
"This won't end well"
"It won't"
"There's no way It's doing it"
But also just by seeing that they immediately knew that things would not end well, with some thinking that it could end with something similar to what Helena and Paris caused.
As they kissed, the priest covered the marks on the woman's shoulders with his hands, making those on her left shoulder fade a little
Then the image changed to the men who were painted gold who were closing the door of the great chamber they were in, only for it to be opened by the pharaoh, making them stand back and bow to him, as well as reacting fearfully to the pharaoh
"{What are you doing here?}"
Only gods understood what the pharaoh was asking, while the rest of the audience was confused because they did not speak ancient Egyptian, although they could see that he did not receive an answer
The screen showed the pharaoh waiting for an answer until he went to the other room having heard a noise, and pushing aside the curtain that served as a separation, he found Anck-su-Namun standing there, next to the statue of a cat, which the gods of Olympus supposed to be a statue of the Egyptian goddess Bast.
But the woman avoided Pharaoh's eyes, while Seti's gaze wandered to the upper part of his arm... and he glimpsed the undone marks on his skin.
"{Who has touched you?!}" Seti sued while pointing to the woman's arm
Anck-su-Namun's eyes darted to her arm, only to open in fear before she returned her gaze to Seti, but only for a second or two because her eyes fell on something or someone behind the pharaoh, Seti didn't take long to notice it so she turned, only to find Imhotep
"He's going to kill him," said a few when they noticed the look that the ancient Egyptian priest had in his eyes when he looked at the pharaoh
"{Imhotep!}" said the pharaoh indignant and incredulous, "{My priest!}" "
But without saying a word, the high priest grabbed the hilt of Pharaoh's sword and quickly drew it with his own hand. Pharaoh could only look at the man in surprise before he understood what was happening and what was about to happen, as long as fear came to his eyes
Meanwhile the audience on Olympus, unlike the pharaoh, saw how after a few more brief seconds Anck-su-Namun raised a dagger to stab the pharaoh in the back, it was not fatal, but serious, causing him to scream in pain only for Imhotep to attack the pharaoh with the sword.
"Betrayed by a woman, who would have thought it," no one knew who made the comment, only that it came among the Greek campers, but it annoyed the hunters
The image changed to the men who had closed the door, who only observed the silhouettes in the curtain, of how the priest and his lover murdered the Pharaoh.
Although some in the audience thought that the two lovers were in a sense more drastic than Helena and Paris, who only eloped... Not to mention that both of them had just been sentenced to death, and perhaps worse by the gods, in case the Egyptian gods of that world also used the pharaohs and others as their avatars, only this thought was only of the gods of Olympus who knew about it from the encounters that took place in the past.
Suddenly, the huge golden doors began to ring and screams echoed behind them as they tried to open them from the other side.
The spectators saw the men who had closed the doors quickly move away from them, with several seeking to leave through another exit, while others went to the lovers.
"{Pharaoh's guards!} "
"You must go! Save yourself!"}—
"{No}"
"{Only you can resurrect me}"
"Grr" Hades frowned and grunted at the mention of resurrecting, it might be another world and the jurisdiction of another divine pantheon, but he didn't like someone trying to bring a dead person back to life. Although his gaze was directed on his Roman daughter, remembering the slight explanation he gave of how she was alive, that during the introductions he said that he was given a new chance and then with the second world it was said that Thanatos was captured.
The king of the Underworld had an idea of what happened in the future with all the information he had so far, in addition his gaze then fell on his Greek daughter and remembered his son's reactions.
Several seconds before the angry guards managed to open the doors and burst inside, the gold-painted men grabbed Imhotep, to escape from there while he fought to get them to release him
"{I won't leave you! ... Get away from me!}"
The woman, however, simply raised her hand as if to caress the air in front of her face, with a look of sadness in her eyes as the high priest shouted
"{You will live again! I will raise you up!}"
Finally, after another moment in which the hurried footsteps of the guards could be heard, the Greco-Romans saw them arrive at the scene, only to be surprised and somewhat speechless in horror at their murdered pharaoh. But Pharaoh's former mistress just looked at them coldly and hissed:
"{My body is no longer his temple!} "
The audience watched as Anck-su-Namun plunged the dagger into herself. And from his hiding place, Imhotep watched his lover's shadow and cringed when he saw her take her own life.
Some felt a little sorry for the man and the woman, but they were few
The projection then changed to show several horsemen riding through the desert during the cold night, using only torches to see the road, for a few seconds before the narrative returned.
"In order to resurrect Anck-su-Namun, Imhotep and his priests broke into her crypt and stole her body... They went deep into the desert, carrying Anck-su-Namun's corpse to Hamunaptra, the City of the Dead... ancient burial place of the children of the pharaohs... and the resting place of Egypt's wealth"
The various audience members furrowed their faces, they didn't know if there was such a place in their world, not to mention the various reactions that there were between them.
Hades had an even more serious face, which made those who saw him nervous, especially because of the shadows that moved around him because of the annoyance of hearing mortals messing with death.
Among the demigods, the daughters of Aphrodite/Venus and the occasional woman were delighted with the devotion that Imhotep showed for her lover, others instead thought that he was going too far by going against the natural order, life and death despite the devotion he showed.
"..." The huntresses did not know what to really think, on the one hand they had the same opinion that they have or had of Helen about women, as well as men when comparing him with Paris; on the other hand, they were amazed by the loyalty of the man to the woman, as well as by the beings and powers that Imhotep was about to defy in order to revive the woman.
The sons of Hermes, as well as their father, due to the mention of wealth, thought of seeing if there was such a place in their world to go for "a visit" and get some "souvenirs".
Several gods and half-bloods saw the smiles on Hermes and his children, suppressed a sigh, grunted or rolled their eyes, although a few of the gods who saw them thought that the half-bloods needed to be reminded that traveling out of the country nowadays was too much dangerous for them, as for the god, they thought they should remind Hermes about his children and the dangers of the lands outside Greco-Roman territory, as well as keep an eye on him, especially to prevent him from causing trouble with another pantheon.
