Back in the town square, the wind was starting to pick up. It meant the storm was starting to get closer. The clocktower showed that it was 9:55, meaning that they didn't have much time left before the lightning would be here. Doc was starting to get impatient because Marty and Ally weren't there yet. Everything was all set up and ready to go. The Delorean was out in the open with the rod on the roof of it.
"Damn, where are those kids?!" he muttered, checking his watch with wide eyes. "Damn!" he shouted, still looking at his watch. "Damn, damn!" he shouted again. Right on the nick of time, Marty and Ally arrive in his car. They parked on the other side of the street and they bolted out of the car, now back in their clothes from 1985.
They all ran over to the delorean, quickly uncovering it. "You two are late! You have no concept of when to be on time?!" Doc shouted over the wind. "Hey, c'mon, we had to change!" Marty shouted back. "Yeah, we're not going back in those zoot suits, Doc, so give us a break!" Ally added after they uncovered the car all the way.
Marty leaned against the rear of the Delorean and started to reach for the photo, which he had put in his pocket after their parents kissed. "Doc, you won't believe what went down! Our dad really came through!" Ally said jovially, her hair blowing because of the wind. "Yeah, he knocked Biff out in one punch! We didn't know he had in him! He's never stood up to Biff in his life!" Marty added, giving Doc the picture.
Doc held it up with both hands and stared at it in disbelief, seeing that all four kids were back on the photo. "Never?!" he asked in a yell, realizing what they did. "No, why?! What's the matter?" Marty wondered. "What did we do?!" Ally called. However, Doc knew that he didn't have time to explain what they had done, so he brushed it aside so he could focus on telling them the plan.
"Alright! Now, let's set your destination time!" Doc shouted, waving his arms. He got inside the car and started to set the date of when they left 1985. He set it to October 26, 1985 at 1:35 am on the read out device. Afterwards, he stepped out of the car and jogged down the street a bit. "Alright, now I painted a white line down the street way over there! You two start from there!" he shouted, pointing down at their starting point. Then, he jogged back to them and he started messing with his watch.
The twins looked at what he was doing. "Okay, now I've calculated the distance and wind resistance to activate from the second the lightning strikes! It should go off in exactly 7 minutes and 22 seconds! The second this goes off, you two hit the gas!" he shouted, referring to a little alarm clock, which he set on the Delorean's dashboard before stepping out. They both nodded at what he said, understanding what he said.
"Well… I think that's everything," Doc said, looking around. They were ready to go home. "Thank you, Doc," Marty told him with a smile. "Thank you, you two! I finally have a purpose in my life because of the two of you!" he said with a smile. The duo couldn't hold back anymore and they both hugged the scientist. Doc was stunned to have the two teens hug him like this.
"See you two in 30 years!" he shouted as he hugged them back. They both got choked up, hoping that would be the case. They didn't want to go back and have him still be dead by the terrorists. "We hope so too," Ally said for the both of them. After a few seconds, they broke the hug. "Not to worry! As long as you accelerate the Delorean up to 88 mph the moment lightning strikes the tower, everything will be fine," he assured them.
They nodded and they got inside the car. Marty would be one driving this time, and Ally got in the passenger seat. Before they pulled the doors shut, Doc reached into his jacket pocket and found the note that they had written to him earlier. They felt their hearts drop when he found it. He looked at it in shock before holding it to them so they could see.
"What is this?!" he shouted at them. "You'll find out in 30 years!" Marty responded, but that didn't sit right with the scientist. "It's about the future, isn't it?! It's information about the future!" he shouted, walking around the car. Marty and Ally jump out of the Delorean to chase after him.
"Wait, Doc!" Marty shouted, trying to stop him. "Didn't I warn you two about what would happen if you told me about the future?! The consequences could be disastrous!" he shouted, upset that they went behind his back. "That's a risk you're gonna have to take! Your life's on the line!" Marty argued back, trying to get Doc to listen to him.
"NO! I won't accept this responsibility!" Doc yelled stubbornly as he started to tear the letter up. The twins were floored at this. That was their only shot of warning Doc about the terrorists. What were they going to do now? "Well, in that case, we'll tell you straight out!" Ally shouted, grabbing the inventor's sleeves desperately.
Just before they could say anything, the wind had blown the cables loose, making them fall on the ground. "Great Scott!" Doc shouted. Then he went to grab some rope that he had laid in front of the courthouse. "I'm gonna climb to the top of the clock tower! You two tie the cable up and I'll pull it up!" he instructed.
"Alright!" they said in unison. Doc went up to the top of the clock tower and stepped out onto the ledge with the two statues that were on it. He was startled by it and yelled out. "Doc!" Marty shouted, watching this happen. They had tied the cable to the rope and Doc started to pull it up as fast as he could.
"Go, Doc! Bring it up!" Ally shouted, helping Doc with the cable. When he got it, the twins had another opportunity to tell him what would happen in the future. "DOC!" Marty shouted, cupping his mouth with both hands. "What?!" Doc shouted back, having a hard time hearing them over the heavy winds.
"We have to tell you about the future!" Ally shouted, also having her mouth cupped to help her sound louder. He could barely hear them so he had to repeat himself multiple times. "On the night that we go back in time, you get-!" Marty shouted, but the clock tower rang again, making Doc grasp onto one of the cat statues because he nearly fell off.
"Doc!" they yelled together, seeing Doc hang on for dear life. Doc managed to climb back up to the top of the tower, yelling from how loud the clock was. "Go!" he shouted at them. "But Doc?!" Marty cried out, looking up at the scientist. "You two don't have time! You got less than four minutes! Go now!" Doc shouted, seeing that it was 9:59 now.
The twins quickly nodded and they sprinted back to the Delorean. When they got in, Marty stepped on the gas, making them speed forward towards their starting point. Doc watched them drive by him and he cheered. "Yes!" He shouted. He now had to focus on getting the cables together again before time ran out.
The twins make it to the starting point and Marty does a drift to make the Delorean face the other way. When they stopped, Marty quickly got out of the car to put the rod on the back of the car. Ally waited impatiently for him to get back inside the car. When he got the rod set up, he jumped back into the car and he pulled the door shut.
"Damn it, Doc! Why did he have to tear that letter up? If only we had more time to do it," Ally cursed, slapping the dashboard. They were still in disbelief that he would do that. They waited a minute before an idea sparked in Marty's head. "Wait a minute… Ally, we have a time machine! We got all the time we needed!" he exclaimed.
"Yeah, yeah! We can go back ten minutes so we can warn him there!" Ally shouted, punching the time back to 1:26 am. "Alright there! Time circuits on," she said, seeing that the circuits were up and running. "Alright, flux capacitor. Uh, fluxing. Engine running. Alright!" Marty said, ready to get a move on.
However, the engine went out before they could drive forward. Their hearts dropped when that happened. "What? No, no, no, come on!" Marty shouted, trying to get the car to turn over but it kept sputtering. "C'mon, turn over!" Ally exclaimed, starting to panic. The car was still having trouble turning over, even when the clock went off. "Come on! Not this time, come on!" Marty exclaimed.
He tried many times to get the car to start, but to no avail. Ally was also starting to panic, because they were running out of time before the lightning struck the clock tower. "Please, please, c'mon! AGH!" he shouted in frustration, smacking his head on the headboard. When he did that, the car started back up again. The headlights illuminated on the road.
They lifted their heads when they heard the car rumbling. Both of them smiled triumphantly, before Marty floored it and they sped down the road to their ending point. Meanwhile, Doc had managed to plug the cords back together, but the second one got caught on a tree, coming undone, much to his shock. He even nearly fell off the tower, trying to get the cords back together.
In the distance, he could see the headlights of the Delorean in the distance, meaning that he had very little time to get it fixed up. Marty pulled the stick shift back to make the time machine speed up more. The car hit 88 mph, causing it to light up blue and sparks started to appear. "Doc!" they shouted at the same time.
Doc had slid down the wire to get to the ground faster. He struggled to get the wire loose from the tree that it got stuck on. The Delorean was getting closer and closer to the theater, so the twins squeezed their eyes together. They were scared that this wasn't going to work.
Then, at exactly 10:04 pm, lightning struck the tower, traveling down the wire, which made Doc fall back onto the ground. The Delorean connected with the wire, making it vanish into thin air, leaving nothing behind but fire trails that went to the theater.
Doc sat up quickly with wide eyes just as that happened. The hook that was on the delorean was hanging off of the wire as sparks appeared from it. He slowly stood up and walked over to his experiment, before running to the theater. His experiment actually worked, which made him smile and cheer. He was successful in getting Marty and Ally back to the future.

(October 26, 1985)
Back in 1985, a helicopter flew over the courthouse with its big headlight shining down on everything beneath it. There was even a homeless man with an alcoholic bottle in his hand sleeping on a bench in front of the courthouse. A pop song was playing on the radio while he slept.
He was woken up from the sound of the three sonic booms and a rush of wind. He got up and stumbled to the source of the sound. The Delorean had appeared, crashing into the theater. Marty backed the car up and started to turn it around. "Crazy drunk driver," the homeless man commented before he went back to the bench.
The car was smoking from jumping timelines. When Marty pulled the car over, both him and Ally jumped out of it while cheering. "Whoo, yes!" Marty exclaimed, hopping out of the car. "Yes! We're back!" Ally yelled, unable to stop smiling. They looked around the town square, seeing that everything was back to the way it should be.
"Red!" Marty said, watching as the homeless man laid back down on the bench he slept at. "Man, everything looks great!" he said, brushing his hair back with a bright smile on his face. "Everything looks awesome!" Ally said with a laugh. Then, they saw what time it was on the Bank of America clock. It was 1:26 am.
"Look, we still got time!" Marty said, rushing back to the car. "Let's go! We're coming, Doc!" Ally shouted, jumping into the passenger seat. They shut the doors and Marty tried starting the car, but it stalled again. "Are you serious right now!?" Ally shouted in frustration.
While they were trying to get the car started, the Libyans van had driven by them. Marty and Ally saw them and they got out of the car and they watched them turn a corner and drive down in the direction of the mall. "Libyans…" Marty whispered. They sprinted away from the car and sprinted to the mall, hoping they would make it before the Libyans did.
